5361  Economy / Economics / Re: Two Visions for Bitcoin on: March 14, 2017, 08:40:40 PM
I am a crypto 2 but a bitcoin 6.

The problem for me is that Bitcoin could and should be the answer, but it is becoming bloated and slow. The new sleeker and faster alts are usually scams or junk though, so we are left with Bitcoin to solve the problems of fiat.

I think it is a shame how things are going with Bitcoin. It is all about the price, but the actual development doesn't really seem to be happening. I never fair to be disappointed by the lack of opportunities to use Bitcoin.
Yeah, I guess that thing should get fixed fast because the way I see it bitcoin is becoming like any other payment method out there, it is starting to take a long time a,d take fees for it, and that is why we left them in the first place and started to use bitcoin and I am sure many people thinks so as well.
5362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Fraud on: March 13, 2017, 12:00:01 AM
Assuming a merchant accept Bitcoin,

You as a shopper, place an order, and that merchant did not deliver, or sent to the wrong address, or sent a fake product.

You can not reverse the payment, you can get your bitcoins back, and the only thing you can do it leave a negative feedback.

Of course, there are many other scenarios, like phishing websites, fake websites, selective scams, and so on

What are your thoughts and ideas to prevent these scams.
There are less cases where a seller scams as compared to the buyer's scams and hence if chargebacks are allowed almost all the sellers would be worried. This is actually the biggest drawback with paypal and a reason why mos of the people prefer bitcoins over paypal.
And how can a seller scam man ? I mean you would of course buy from genuine and verified users, no ?
5363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to start a bitcoin casino on: March 10, 2017, 10:55:26 PM
It is actually very good idea to get the users balance in a fixed currency like EUR as you said because many gamblers panic that the price rise or fall may alter their actual winnings and in this case since the value remains in EUR they can be assured that it does not happen. Though honestly opening a casino right now is very tough task particularly with so many already there.
5364  Economy / Exchanges / BTC2BID got renamed ? on: March 10, 2017, 04:18:17 PM
Suddenly I got few mails from a services namely cashaa but I remember I never signed up such services. When their mail is very similar to BTC2BID, I tried to access the same which redirects to https://cashaa.com

5365  Economy / Speculation / Positive news for Chinese players : We are going to see $2000 in March itself ? on: March 07, 2017, 01:56:37 PM
PBOC cleared no banning of exchanges but only close monitoring. Does it mean we are going to see Chinese traders influencing bitcoin prices again. I really want to watch their exchange volumes to outnumber rest of world's.

5366  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I increase my limit of Trading on Poloniex?? on: March 07, 2017, 05:34:23 AM
You may send your documents and details to them for verification or you can make multiple accounts and have fun. I have never reached the limit they give for a basic level 1 account but if I ever reached I would just make a new account and start with it. Just like how we do with dice gambling sites, though if they allow it.
5367  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage on Bitmex on: March 07, 2017, 03:38:52 AM
If been doing some numbers and I don't see the arbitrage. If the price goes up you lose everything (you got margin called).
Am I missing something.
When you are not sure about how the F&O works and how to arbitrate within them, it is highly recommended to stay away. Right now Indian bitcoin markets are ahead of $200 than rest of markets (check here). If you can make use of it, you can earn decently with this arbitrate trading opportunity.
5368  Economy / Services / Re: REAL mobile number from USA needed for verification / $1 on: March 07, 2017, 03:13:52 AM
I need a REAL mobile number from USA to verify a website account (No virtual numbers)

I pay $1 Paypal (If you could offer above 5 useful numbers, I'll offer you $1.5/sms)

Skype: ryaneddy35@gmail.com
Folk here will not accept PayPal as a compensation due to the problems of reversible nature of PayPal. Please try to pay with bitcoins, the most preferred payment options. When you need only USA and non-VOIP numbers, I guess you need to pay more than $1, still it is up to the demand of provider.
5369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much referrals do you have, and how much did they make for you? on: March 06, 2017, 04:11:43 PM
Referrals are worthless unless you can attract a big gambler, I am not lucky enough to ever attract a big gambler. What the best I got was from bitsler, I made a video  on youtube and more than my expectations there were like 10-15 referrals who joined and I earned around 0.001 profit from all of them combined. Its not worth forcing to get referrals just try and attract a whale and you're good.
5370  Economy / Speculation / Again Indian markets are leading. India buying bitcoins for ~$1500 on: March 06, 2017, 02:14:24 PM
We have seen similar situations when demonetization of top bank notes happened in late 2016. Now Again Indian markets are trading ~$200 ahead of rest of markets. India sell bitcoins for ~$1420.

I checked India prices here : https://www.unocoin.com

Edit : Another Indian exchange trades bitcoins at ~1460 https://www.zebpay.com
5371  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is viabtc transaction accelerator really working? on: March 06, 2017, 05:33:55 AM
I just tried but I am getting an error message of "Submissions are beyond limit. Please try later".
Does it mean they are over flooded right away ? I just wonder first I need to wait for accelerator and then for confirmations ?
5372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price of BTC - up about 150% in the past 12 months. Reasons? on: March 05, 2017, 04:16:47 PM
The Halving. Then the withdrawl of cash in India - there was a short surge in demand for bitcoin in India at that point (November 2016). Then the speculators piled in, and they are driving the rise, and seizing on any news to push BTC higher.

At some point though, speculators will take profits, they always do.
But halving happened significantly some what earlier when considering when bitcoin finds its rhythm of getting appreciated. I guess the new year boom and media coverage are the vital reasons for this rapid up surge.
5373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What protection do BTC sites use for security? on: March 05, 2017, 03:54:18 PM
Continuous instant transactions are being made on stock exchange sites. What happens when a user swaps a large amount? Such sites need automatic processing.
Of course they need automatic processing. They have custom made scripts for automatic processing, but you won't find any information on that I'd assume. What is your question here? Every site that handles bitcoins (or atleast the vast majority of them) have automatic processing on deposits and withdrawals.
Yeah, you would not except that whoever have a wallet is going to come to this forum and tell you how they are keeping a secure system, it is like giving you a key to the local bank, I am sure if they do someone out there is going to try and hack it.
5374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Anyone Ever Tried Selling Bitcoin on a Market Stall? on: March 05, 2017, 03:33:34 PM
I just wondered if anyone here had set up at a market and tried to sell Bitcoin to the public/tourists?

I think it's be a bit of advertising for Bitcoin for people that walk past and people may buy as novelty gift etc. (if done as fancy paper wallet).

I'm considering trying this in London, what do you guys think?

i am not yet trying to do like what OP asked because i think it is not enough information for public/tourist about bitcoin and also there is many problem that i could face like, i should explain first what my purpose is, maybe i should explain the basic of bitcoin. i think ordinary people is too scared for new thing that they don't have much of informations so i think we need a time before we can sell bitcoin into public/tourists but i am sure we can see that in future. but if you are in london, maybe in your city, you can trying to sell your bitcoin into public because i think london is a big city with many people that will accept new thing especially in technology aspect so maybe you can start your own market.
Why bother trying to sell bitcoin in public for people that does not know anything about it and they don’t know its true value and its potential, you could easily sell bitcoin online for people that actually use it and know its value for a high price, you could find many people who would do so in localbitcoins.
5375  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New to BTC in 2017 on: March 05, 2017, 03:08:46 PM
I'd recommend mining an altcoin with a GPU and exchanging the altcoin for bitcoin. You won't become rich but it's for sure fun and the easiest way to get bitcoin, if your electricity costs is cheap you might even earn some money.
No, we could become rich if we keep on saving those bitcoins. Entering into bitcoins by 2017 is not too late. We need to remember we are still in early adopting phase of bitcoins and later adopters of bitcoins are yet to born..

But need to choose profitable altcoins for mining. Because mining with GPU is not advisable in this ASICs era.
5376  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It is confusing. on: March 05, 2017, 02:57:07 PM
I am just a newbie, reading articles and watching videos about bitcoin is my way to know bitcoin more. But when I got here that informations are not really enough.
What is this bitcoin unlimited? SegWit? and Lightning Network?
All these are NOT for beginners. Till you become an advanced user and if you have interest on learning them you can search google and find good resources on these topics.
Now I am suggesting you to learn basics of bitcoin payment system like sending receiving bitcoins and wallet types and how to protect bitcoins.
5377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need to buy BTC with Debit Master Card on: March 05, 2017, 07:58:10 AM
I am from India. I want to buy BTC at market price. I will pay using Master Card. Need a trusted seller so that i can buy from him multiple times
Check cex.io
They are having facility to enable you to buy bitcoins with your debit cards. All you need is you need to verify your account with government issued ID proof and then you need to submit them selfie with ID as well debit card.
5378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In which bitcoin gambling casinos should i invest my bitcoins ? on: March 04, 2017, 03:53:20 PM
I suggest you not invest money in gambling casinos. all they will do is 'loot you make you wallet empty'. you will surely win win but later on you will get greedy and invest money but finally your money will go in vain.
Yeah I think you are right instead of investing in gambling casino you should have to invest in some trading or investing in some reliable sites. Gambling is such a risky thing. I just depends upon your luck. I has profit lesser than it has loss. And you first have to gain some experience for gambling first.
5379  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you think , better time for trading ? on: March 04, 2017, 03:26:37 PM
I see no problem buying or selling anytime, as long as you buy low and sell high and of course you should look at the price on Satoshi and not USD otherwise you will find yourself confused and probably losing instead of making any profit, this is also valid as long as you are planning to hold bitcoins for the long term.
If you are spending your coins however (buying stuff), you should do it while the price is high and when It's low because you will be spending more In that case.
Yeah, trading time is crucial in order for you to make profit in it, right it is not the best time because the prices of the bitcoin are really high and it is going to take a long time for them to go down, so selling and rebuying might not be the best idea, you need to wait for the right moment.
5380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Operating a BTC gambling site - Worth it? on: March 04, 2017, 03:43:55 AM
Really, It's a great project. I think you worked hard to create this site. Don't like other people who bought script and just copy / pasting.
So about the gambling site, I think it's nice idea. Many people like gambling and maybe a lot of them are addicted. so if you build your site correctly and adding all sections of gambling, with a nice design and easy to use, it will succeed. I assure to you.
Anyways good luck.
You are right no matter how many new and old casinos sites exist in the market gamblers always look for more and more sites. I think though that now the market being so stable that people have their fixed site for simple games we need to give the gamblers some new sort of games or at least new concept with the same old hashing system for verification.
