561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: November 22, 2023, 11:19:51 AM

Of course, anything can happen, but my bet is just best on the result of my very simple analysis, two strong teams playing a respective game against weaker teams, it's already automatic to bet on the strong teams, that's why this parlay came up.

This is where upsets tend to occur—when the majority of bettors are all in on one team, leaving little room for the possibility of the other team winning. In my opinion, I wouldn't label it as easy. Gambling remains a risky venture, and bookies are adept at enticing bettors to ensure action on both sides.

Anyway, this isn't to discourage you. I hope you've already made your move, so I just want to say good luck. Personally, I'm not betting on the spreads or the outright winner. I've got my eye on the over/under for this game. Later on...

Exactly, if all the time heavy favorites are going to win then there's no brainer to place bets for them, and all the parlay picks will
resulted in a winning slip. But that's not the case even in a 99% winning percentage gambling still have that same risk, it can still go to the other side and leave you regretting placing your money to that kind of picks.

But, on the other side, I like the opinion of the post above you, it's a result of his assessment and no offense first already bring the
outcome and yes, it is an easy win for the Tropang testers.
Looks like there's nothing wrong with the pick, I mean the trend will continue and the favorites are winning, First game is over and TNT have clearly dominated the DYIP by 43 points, that was probably the biggest win this season. Who says TNT is gonna struggle now?

One more game and the parlay outcome, I missed the chance to follow your pick as I lost my coins for the Sixers, hahaha..(off-topic)

I guess NLEX is gonna win here and the parlay bet will win. As to the Sixers, yeah they lose, just a bad beat since the game went to OT but they still lose. I also saw the post of @finestream in the nba betting thread.

I just placed my bet for NLEX over 109.5. Good luck!
562  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcointalk forum a home of solution on: November 21, 2023, 09:53:47 PM
You are right but some problems can not be solved. The problems are not solved because it is beyond what can be solved. Example is someone that send bitcoin to a wrong address and the transaction has been confirmed. If the transaction has been confirmed, the transaction can not be reversed and the money is just lost. But if the issue can be solved, Bitcointalk members always have clue to the solution. I love being on this forum.

Often knowing what's the problem is itself a solution. Let's take on from your given example, if person sends a Bitcoin to wrong address and wonders if he can recover from his mistake? — he don't know so he has asked a question but when he's given answer that, "no you can't" — that will end his dillema and will itself be a solution.

What you say here is absolutely correct, this forum is the best place for those who experience problems when transacting with Bitcoin, for example there are many private wallets currently circulating, so when they ask which one is the best and most trusted, the other members will provide recommendations that can help those people, this is a great forum and you will even know which wallets you should not use, which crypto gambling sites you should not play on and which exchanges you should not trust.
However, its still best to do your own research prior to entering the market because that will help yourself minimize getting mistakes and commit problems. Otherwise, if you rely on the forum too much, your decisions will greatly depend on them which I think is already bad. Time comes when you face another problem and these people have already leave the forum, then how come you will solve your problem now.

Learn from the forum by educating yourself. Not only when problems arise, but do it before the problems will arise.
563  Economy / Economics / Re: #HODLing is not a smooth journey on: November 21, 2023, 08:43:34 PM
Someone who wants to hold for long like me don't have to think of how smooth or not it is. Because the problem goes on our way and it comes at any time that we're not thinking of. The journey of everyone won't be definitely smooth because we're all investors and we're aware of how the volatility of Bitcoin in nature and it sucks when we invest and we're not even aware of it which applies to the newbies. But by the time that you're seeing the result of your holding is growing, you will forget all of those lonely and FUD days on this market because you're only looking forward for that day of making a profit.
As long as you are on an investment, whether its short term or long term hodling, there will always be some risks that will make your investment quite challenging. And long term hodling creates a real challenge for us, most especially if we are not aware that we are hodling such coins that are highly volatile and are very uncertain. One day the price is good, the next day it comes to its worst, so it's really not easy to stay hodling particularly if you set your coins to 5-10 years maximum hodling.

Creating a long term plan does not even guarantee that you will succeed on long term hodling. But I say patience is the key. As long as you know the essence of patience and you understand how those coins work in the market, then long term hodling would be quite easy to manage.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Altcoins on: November 21, 2023, 07:53:21 PM
I think altcoin should never be used for investment as it can be a scam any time. We have seen many altcoins turn into scams in the past, especially good projects like Luna FTX etc died. If we use and invest Bitcoin, it will be the best and safest coin for us and the most to earn money.  I will never invest in altcoins because I believe they can be scammed at any time except for some coins. But for BNB and ETH good investment it is likely to be a scam and their future will be good so if you invest here you will have no fear of loss. And the best thing is Bitcoin where you have security of your money by investing, and it is possible to earn a good amount of money from it in the future, so BTC is the suitable investment coin.

You know, dude, whether altcoins or bitcoin have the same risk and both are volatile as well, so don't say that it's not good to invest in altcoins; it's not because you think FTX is dead because what happened here is the same with all altcoins. I think that your view and belief are wrong.

There are some altcoins that are often used by scammers to prey on investors here in crypto, but that does not mean that altcoins are bad; they are not. I hope that sometime we will adjust what we say in the forum so that the other will not be deceiving to those who still have zero knowledge of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin. Because for me, altcoins and bitcoin are both good; we just need to know how to look for legitimate coins in this business.
That's the real challenge if you chose to invest in altcoins. You have to do due diligence to research so you will end up investing in the right coins, and not just random coins that have suddenly arise in the market and then put all your money and trust into it because they're promising coins. Of course, all coins would claim that they're totally promising but little did we know that they're up to scam us and vanish in the market suddenly once we have put our funds into it.

Although I'm not saying it in general  because some altcoins are still safe and profitable to invest, but we just have to land at the right coins so we won't end up investing at a loss and regretting.
565  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 9 Years Before He finally claim his lotto rewards on: November 21, 2023, 02:12:50 PM
I don't think that it's not about the PCSO being unwilling to assist the winner.

As per this post from ;

The time is reasonable if we look at the process.
- The Regional Trial Court ruled in favor of the bettor but the PCSO appealed and brought it to the Court of Appeals.
- The Court of Appeals upheld the decision of the RTC but the PCSO still not convinced so they went to the highest court.
- The Supreme Court upheld the decision of the two lower courts.

The PCSO have all the resources so they exercised all their legal options and that's why it took a total of 9 years to come to a decision with finality. That means there will be no more appeals.

The holder of the ticket had already won all the trials but it's the PCSO who keeps appealing, that was in 3 court, RTC, COP and SC, all of them favored the holder of the ticket that wasn't honored, so that's the reason why the winnings was release. So if PCSO was willing to give, they should have not appealed after the RTC already made a decision.
566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 21, 2023, 01:34:16 PM

Philly -7.5
indiana vs Hawks (over 251)

Tailing on these two picks. Philly has been so good in covering a high spread, and though they'll be hosting the Cavaliers which I believe is also a strong team but without Mitchell the home team would be able to take advantage on the situation.

On the 2nd bet, Indiana vs Hawks, these two teams loves to run the floor so most of their games are high scoring, so although 251 points is quite high on paper, but considering their production in average, that sure is easy to reach, plus I have a feeling that this game is going to be a close, so another factor that would make the game into over is the OT.
567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 21, 2023, 07:13:49 AM
The Spurs are on an 8-game losing streak as they again lost to the Clippers who won 2 straight games already 124-99.

6 players in double digits for the Clippers, and it seems like they're starting to build the chemistry already. I'm still impressed by Westbrook's adjustment to play off the bench. Wembanyama on the other hand is kind of struggling averaging only 18.5 PPG in those 8 losses. I mean I know that he's still a rookie, but the expectations around him especially with the Spurs fans are high. TBH, with how Chet, and Victor are playing, it seems like Chet is having an upper hand over him, and he might steal the ROY over him. Cheesy Too early though, but still they on a losing streak currently.

Westbrook already had experience performing as a bench player when he was with the Lakers. So, it should not be surprising that he can quickly adapt to his new role with the Clippers.

It's a smart move that they benched Westbrook or let him lead the second unit. Now, they're winning, and if we look at the big 3 in the starting lineup, their overall field goal percentage is now acceptable, with a combined 51% or 23/45 shooting. Granted, if you examine individual stats, Harden's numbers are struggling at 4-12, but we can overlook that considering he was the hero in the last game. That should be enough to overshadow his poor performance.

As for Victor, 18.5 points per game isn't only, it's a good result for a rookie. In fact, he's a rookie like other young players, and I think the expectations for him have been overblown by the media.

I hope he will not put too much pressure on himself, he was overhype by the media and the main reason to that is his height and that he got some move which we've seen in the recent games, but he's not ready yet, he still has a big room for improvement,  starts with growing some muscle I guess.

Liit ng reward compared sa ninakaw nila, basi sa news, nasa $120 million nawala sa poloniex,.

Poloniex Confirms ID of Attacker Behind $120M Hack, Involves Police from China, Russia and the US

569  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin Fee Observer Thread in USD(sat/vB) on: November 20, 2023, 01:06:46 PM

I just realized they are all "away" teams. Ouch! Good luck everyone.

1 out of 3, mate. The Nuggets lost, the Celtics won but didn't cover, and the Suns' game went to double OT, making it so unpredictable. Even the Dallas Mavericks and Indiana Pacers lost at home. Anyway, we'll have to come back and beat them tomorrow.

We only have one unfinish game, and it looks like the Lakers would fall to the Rockets of if they would win they'll not cover the spread.

573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's Raking in This Fee on: November 19, 2023, 06:15:02 AM
Hey there, could you help me out with this question? So, when we send Bitcoin from one wallet, like an Electrum wallet, to another Bitcoin address, there's this transaction fee, right? Currently, it's pretty high, and the miners are the ones benefiting from it, got that part. Now, in another scenario, let's say I purchased some bitcoins from a centralized exchange like Binance, and I need to send them to a cold wallet address. Again, there's a transaction fee. But who's raking in this fee: the miners or the CEX platform?

Most exchanges if not all charge a transaction fee that's usually higher than the actual network fee, so the deal is both the exchange and the miners are raking in profits. It makes sense, though. When you're on an exchange, every transaction you do comes with a slice taken out because you're using their platform. Whether it's trading fees or withdrawal fees, they're making money off each move you make.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your parent disinherit you eventhough you have not proven to be chronic gambler on: November 19, 2023, 03:13:56 AM
That law is useless if your parents are really willing to give you the inheritance. It seems like the law was only created to become an excuse for parents who don't want to give their property to their children. But in real life, it should not be the law that dictates their decision because as parents, we love our child and we give what is best for them, including our fortune, which we need to pass on to them as eventually, we will pass in this world as we reach the end of our journey.

I am with you on this sentiment, but we can't totally discard the fact about family troubles.
Hence, the law regarding this matter if in case the family itself can't resolve their own problems.
That's when the law comes in. Because like it or not, not all family are model families, a lot have secrets to unravel.
And sometimes, family feud can be bloody when financial aspect is on the line or inheritance.

That law just adds a layer of complexity. When you zoom out, it's the parents who decide whether to pass on their inheritance to their children. They have the power to make that call. If they're still around and decide to specify in their last will that their money won't go to their children, well, the kids can't really contest that decision. No law can override the parents' wishes.

So, the moral of the story is, if you're eyeing an inheritance from your parents, it's crucial to show them respect and be the kind of child they'd want to leave their wealth to. After all, parents generally just want the best for their kids.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Streamer wins seem too good on: November 19, 2023, 02:30:05 AM
A streamer is person who is the same as working for casino because they broadcast gambling sessions with slot games as well as distribute referral links to gambling sites so that there are gamblers who are interested and enter the gambling site with these referrals.

Nah, they're only considered working in a casino if they're not putting their own money on the line. So, if we assume they're on the clock, it suggests they're using the casino's cash for their gambling sessions, explaining why they're not sweating the losses.

And that referral link? It's always hanging around, whether they're officially in cahoots with the casino or not. It's how streamers score some cash through commissions to make up for what they're doing, aside from the payments they get from YouTube, of course.

577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: For sports bettors, are you attracted with bet builder feature? on: November 16, 2023, 01:14:31 PM

Is it also possible to parlay a bet builder bet? Has anyone tried it yet?

What difference does it make... It is just to accumulate your different individual wager in one bet and also add the builder odds. Although it will make your bet harder because to scale through all the games will be a difficult task than playing a single game. I will prefer to give my bet more chance to win but boosting it with reasonable higher odds.

I guess it's automatic that our chance will decrease once we combine our bets, whether it's a parlay or a bet builder bet. But the kind of excitement is probably different, as we always have this instinct that convinces our mind that we have a good chance of winning because we were able to analyze our combinations. So, we don't actually mind the reality that we have lower chances, since our confidence is high. I think that's what we really need when we are gambling—a kind of being optimistic and embracing a positive outcome.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 16, 2023, 12:46:23 PM
Will this roster that they now have is going to be the roster that they'll win their 2nd NBA championship? Because the last one that they have was from 1951.

This roster is good, but to think that they'll win a championship, I think that's too early to expect. I mean, they need to improve their ranking first in the playoffs. Last time, they had a first-round exit, if I'm not mistaken. So maybe one step at a time, this time their target could be getting to the WCF or just the Semis first.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How discipline are you in managing your bankroll? on: November 16, 2023, 05:57:25 AM
Recently, I've had some issues with bankroll management. Although I've been gambling for years, sometimes I feel the urge to get more action because I'm not satisfied with my winnings. It's as if there's no tomorrow, and seizing the moment seems like the best option. However, whenever I become undisciplined, it usually doesn't end well. My realization is that no matter how good you are at choosing the right bets, without discipline in bankroll management, you'll still end up losing.

Could you please share some of your honest experiences here and how you became a disciplined gambler, particularly in managing your bankroll? What factors do you consider to be satisfied and to stick with the game plan all the time?

If you are not satisfied with what you win, does that mean that you are getting greedy when you play gambling? Is it characteristic of a responsible gambler to have such a habit of not being satisfied with a little won?

Shouldn't it be that if you know that you have won, it is obvious that you have a profit the day you played rather than the day you won nothing the day you gambled here in crypto gambling? This is just my question and for the enlightenment of other communities here.

At least let's try to be realistic because aiming for bigger wins requires a bigger capital or bankroll. It's pretty much unrealistic if you only bet $10 per wager and want to win $1000 in the end. I know it's possible, but the chance of achieving that is very slim. So, I guess for OP to become a disciplined gambler, it starts with satisfying oneself with the win, and that would only be possible if he starts with a larger bankroll.

If we treat gambling like a business, we would be happy to earn a small percentage of our bankroll as long as it's consistent. So, $1,000 per month, I think that's a decent profit already. But it probably does require setting up a bankroll of $10,000, and that would mean a 10% profit per month, which is not bad. That figure will change over time, especially if profits are being reinvested, resulting in an increase in the total bankroll.
580  Local / Pamilihan / Re: LENDING SECTION HERE (Mores Funds Available - Wanted Borrowers! on: November 16, 2023, 04:29:36 AM

If I may ask, magkano naman ang pwede mong i pa loan, like total funds for lending, max loan per borrower, loan terms?

Pwede kang mag post na dito baka may interested mangutang, since USDT yan, 1 usd lang transaction kaya di gaano masakit sa bulsa.
