1501  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It Is Dangerous To Completely Rely On Cryptocurrencies on: September 12, 2022, 09:59:09 PM
Investing in cryptocurrencies is now viewed as normal and the use is now getting popularised to almost every young person growing up in the modern day to prosper financially. Even the young people who initially missed the opportunity have grown interest in it and are using it to support themselves.

With all of this taking place, I want to emphasize that purchasing and investing in bitcoin, which is undoubtedly the best cryptocurrency, does not guarantee that you will be completely sustained for the rest of your life. Consider it a reliable side business that you can use to supplement your primary income when it suffers delays or to supplement to cover up for your daily expenses.

Some people have lost their lives as a result of completely depending on cryptocurrencies due to the unexpected market downturn. Some people even committed suicide as a result of the last big decline in cryptocurrency’s price in the market. Whatever happens to you in this life, it doesn't justify ending it on your own.

For beginners, it is advised before investing in cryptocurrencies to do your own research on the subject. Check the historical performance of those who have profited from it and those who have not, this will provide you with a forecast. With this, you can plan your investment and get a solid profit over the long term. Keep in mind that this is not a quick money-making scheme, conduct your own study and invest only after full understanding and knowledge.

Yes it’s totally dangerous if you start investing without proper knowledge and skills achieved. Because the fact that crypto investments are high risks, then you should always be cautious and careful on all your decisions and future moves because that will tell if you can be successful or not. Otherwise, you might end up wasting your money and efforts because you only see crypto investments as quick source of profits, when in fact it’s not how these crypto works.
1502  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 12, 2022, 09:35:47 PM
I think I made a mistake buying at $23,500 (obviously), so when should I really start to panic now that we dropped to $18K?

At what price point now should I consider to add more to average in at? Like, if you owned a bitcoin at $23,500, would you wait for $10K or 15K to start adding more to average in your high price of $23,500?

Either you are new to this Crypto industry or really impatient dude.
I mean what’s the use of panicking? It’s normal Bitcoins to fall in it’s price. If you don’t know how the market works then better you should avoid money investments.
You are fearing and that too when you have BTC in your wallet. Just do a quick search on the internet about the marketcap of Bitcoins. That is enough to prove Bitcoin’s power my friend.
Just don’t panic always. Hold the coins for at least a month and then see the profits.
You should have known the price volatility of bitcoin before you decide to invest. That way, you will be aware that panicking will never be helpful at all. However, investing in bitcoin is mostly profitable than seeing it as more of losses. But if you keep on fearing and panicking every time bitcoin price drops, then expect that you will never experience profits as it takes a lot of courage and patience before you will gain profits.
1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 11, 2022, 12:00:05 PM
GGG ok it's going to be hard to predict how he's going to fight at 40. On the other side is a Canelo who came from defeat. I think GGG will be in the ring fit and in good condition. Will they go to desicion or in the match here or will either of them break one of them. I think Canelo can do it, Tko. But I don't think the match will end with TKO. I think there are a lot of parameters that will be a good trilogy, I think both of them will not play risky, they will play each other equally to the points. Good fight night GG.
Most of the experts predicted that this fight will go to the judges' scorecards, or if there's a KO, it should be Canelo winning the fight. Yes, GGG is already 40 years old, but is it right to call him old? I don't think so, he won his previous fight and I'm sure he still has a lot to offer and he can entertain us in this fight.

This could be his retirement fight if he losses, so hopefully he will not.

A fight against Thurman would be great, and I think Thurman will win and that would make him one of the top contenders to fight the champion. Imagine, if the fight of Spence vs Crawford will not happen, then we can still see Thurman fighting one of them if the promoter will agree.
1505  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 11, 2022, 10:29:56 AM

NLEX wasn't really a popular team. It's always the TNT or Meralco which usually goes to the finals, so they don't need a good coach I believe. Well, coach Yeng was good but I think he was not given everything he needs, the reason why his team was underperforming.

Agree with that as they didn't make it to the NBA Finals, so there's not much to expect from this team.

The popular teams in the NBA are as follows based IMO.

1-SMB
2-Ginebra
3-Magnolia

4-TNT
5-Meralco

NLEX supposed to be popular so both owners will have 3 teams that are a championship contender.
1506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 10, 2022, 12:57:11 PM
So Coach Luigi Trillio is one of the candidates of becoming the head coach of the team and I think it's expected (at least for me) knowing how he handled the Bolts last playoffs. We also saw Coach Jong who has been a head coach in PBA years ago. No idea who the 3rd coach is since he is in the UAAP and I'm not watching UAAP games.

Most likely Dulatre's job will be very short because they will find a more experience coach to head the coaching job, however, there's still plenty of time for coach Dulatre to prove to the management that he is deserving to be the head coach, I'm sure that's also his mind as no one would want an assistant coach forever.

That's a challenge for him, he was given a chance now to coach NLEX, so his performance is very important to pass the expectation of the management. if he can make this team successful, there's no reason for the management to look for a new coach, even if it's a popular coach, or even if it's coach Tab.  Grin

By Brian Webber: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum says he’s already spoken to Devin Haney and his father Bill Haney about fighting Vasyl Lomachenko next. The Haney’s are agreeable to taking on Lomachenko as long as they get past their next opponents.

Source: https://www.boxingnews24.com/2022/09/devin-haney-agreeable-to-fighting-vasyl-lomachenko-says-bob-arum/

Great news, now, is the camp of Lomachenko willing to take the challenge? It's going to be a big fight this year for sure, I think selling this fight would not be hard and it's going to be 50-50 or 60-40 in our favorite bookies. Anyway, without minding the betting odds, I think this fight is worth to wait for.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Queen Elizabeth and Cryptocurrency on: September 09, 2022, 09:58:13 PM

She is 96. She had seen a lot of sufferings in her time. I guess she's lucky enough not to see more of the sufferings that are to come. RIP Queen Elizabeth.

But damn!  Anything can be monetized these days with meme tokens even the death of the Queen.
If  blockchain was already alive when Micheal Jackson died, the internet will be full of meme coins already with his image doing the moonwalk. It was sort of a debate during that time when Micheal's death was monetized by spreading articles about the controversial death.
Creating some memes that have been derived from the name of the queen was quite unrespectful for me. It’s only a day has passed from the passing of the queen and yet, these meme coins have already been making some noise in the crypto market. Though business is business, but maybe these meme coins are bound to end up in failures maybe because they don’t create good beginnings from the start.
1509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of bitcoin rise again? on: September 09, 2022, 09:34:13 PM
One thing to mention in particular was the bear market a few days ago. Then the price of Bitcoin has decreased due to the market being down. But now, despite being in a bull market, why is the price of Bitcoin decreasing now? Hope the experienced will tell.
I think it's only natural to see bitcoin's price going down now because bitcoin has gone through very high gains before and this is a cycle that bitcoin has been going through for years. Maybe the reason is different for each time the increase and decreases occur, making us wonder what causes the price to rise and fall as it is now. But after this decline, bitcoin will rise again and there is a possibility that it will surpass the previous high ATH. So be patient and keep trying to buy when the price is still low so you will have the opportunity to sell bitcoin at the highest price later.
Bitcoin has definitely its own flaws too so expect that it has its own time to grow and prosper and definitely its own lows and price fall backs. And right now, since we are still in a bear market condition, bitcoin is expected to have struggles too in reaching all time highs. The reason why it’s price keeps on falling back in spite of sudden price increase. But one thing is certain, once bull season is here, bitcoin is bound to reach new all time high again.
1510  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading gambling in another form? on: September 09, 2022, 08:32:34 PM
Some people may talk like that, but I think trading and gambling are very different. Trades have an agreed consensus analysis even though they already have an agreement that takes the form of a sell or buy order. So they have agreed and it is very different from gambling. Gambling or betting is usually only armed with a lucky guess. So trading is not gambling, but it can be trading into gambling because it does without analysis and only based on guesses.
Trading and gambling are likely to be seen as the same because both have high risks. But if you are a pro trader, your trading may likely to be more profitable than seeing it fall on gambling. The only reason you think trading is gambling because you trade without knowledge and preparation, pushing you to trade without good market analysis. In the end, trading looks like gambling since you fall onto losses rather than gaining profits. However, with gambling, no matter how good you are in that certain game, gambling will always be luck based and pure guesses.
1511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spreading Bitcoin and its basic concept on: September 09, 2022, 07:50:53 PM
some countries are already aware of the huge advantages of the bitcoin tax so they are now starting to campaign with bitcoin one of which is my country has now started to legalize a crypto mining because the government is starting to feel the big benefits of this crypto tax, actually you can do the same thing introducing bitcoin to people around you but as a suggestion you also need to learn a lot from this forum, many of them have interesting experiences for you to follow
Though there are already countries who are starting to understand the benefits of bitcoin, but I believe the majority are still in opposition of bitcoin simply because they never come to understand bitcoin itself. And good thing OP you are making it easier for people to understand since you are spreading facts about bitcoin. I hope your  own goal will be attained in the end and for sure with the help of this forum, you will gain more knowledge and different experiences from the people that will be very helpful in pursuing your goal.
1512  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stressful crypto market on: September 08, 2022, 09:57:57 PM
Previously, many people could not buy BTC for the reason that it was expensive and the amount was small. Is this already on the verge of Dropping Deadline???
You are making conclusion because of the current market condition. For sure the prices are low because once the bear market sets in, there are less chances for crypto prices to move up and reach new peaks. The reason why people become less profitable when there is bear market, and that they only become profitable again when the bullish market comes back.
1513  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gratitude for cryptocurrency on: September 08, 2022, 09:38:26 PM
Cryptocurrencies themselves have never been regarded as a safe market, so how can it be demonstrated that it will be able to guarantee our safety if we invest in this market? I know bitcoin and cryptocurrencies are creating space for all of us here, money making opportunities, opportunities to get rich, things the outside can't give us but don't exaggerate it too much. Not participating here can also become millionaire, remember that only a few. Cryptocurrencies create opportunities for us and it's up to us whether we adopt or not, many people who don't need crypto can still be successful.
Crypto definitely changed some lives, but only for those who take the risk and overcome the fears and struggles. However, for some, who take another business aside from crypto, they also made successful remarks and become hugely profitable. So probably, it’s not about crypto or other businesses that make people rich and become widely successful, but it’s more on the attitude of a single person towards business and being knowledgeable and skillful in everything he does.
1514  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we gamble or trade? on: September 07, 2022, 09:49:00 PM
OP are you trying to say that is trading similar to gambling?
Let me tell you that when you use all your capital in one shot with high risk, then it is considered as gambling.
If you do same with trading, I mean increase the risk, then it’s not less than gambling.
I would rather suggest if you want to trade with high risks, then better do gambling and give it one shot.
My suggestions might vary from others here, but yes that’s suitable and more appropriate.
Trading like gambling will most likely to resort into losses, so better stay away in trading if you are not even sure of yourself if you are capable on it. But even if trading is very risky, as long as you always prepared for it and you have the skills and strategies to combat the risk, then the result will not end up like gambling as you are likely to gain profits than losses.
1515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could drop to $10,000 by 2023 as the Fed normalizes interest rate policy on: September 07, 2022, 09:24:12 PM
$10k would be a fairly round number for us to stop at though so we probably wouldn't be able to stop there. Which might mean we could go below that or hold a bit above it - and it'll be particularly interesting if we go below imo (especially if it stays there for a few days).

There's probably enough people trying to guess the bottom though and only one will be right, we're nowehere near the $14k low that was prophesised to be the bottom of the last drop too.
However, if it happens in the long run, I guess there’s no reason to fear it because it could be another opportunity to buy and hold. Although seems not possible to drop that far, but knowing bitcoin, everything is possible in it. As long as you never sell in loss and just continue to buy and hold, then maybe reaching $10k will not be a problem anymore, maybe for newbies it will.
1516  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: September 06, 2022, 09:24:12 PM
What's your take on this?
There will be many people who define money. In terms of value, the function of money has so many benefits. Motivating to encourage people to further improve their self-quality power and develop their potential to achieve financially as expected. But often money is made into a god as if they forget that money is also a double-edged sword. Make a person forget who he is. Why is money so motivating? because in this day and age without money will be an obstacle. I admit everything costs money but that doesn't mean money can buy it. Therefore there is such a thing as self-respect, in economics, it may not be too strange that in fact, self-esteem is the only controller so that money can follow you. Skill, quality, and knowledge make you have value.
The world has turned into a very materialistic and everything is about money. To be honest, it’s hard to live and overcome all the problems we have if we don’t have money, because living without money is like the biggest problem after all. The reason why money becomes the best motivating factor to work hard so that once can gain and earn money. But definitely, if we deeply seek the real truth, money is just temporary so we don’t need to become a slave on it.
1517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto business isn't for everyone on: September 05, 2022, 09:58:34 PM
Sadly, those whom such warnings concern don't listen to them. The #1 reason why people lose in trading is because they believe they are special, gifted, have talent for trading, have luck and so on. Typically it happens when they make some money in a bull market, simply because all coins are growing. Then the bear market comes and instead of cashing out they double down on looking for profit to compensate for some unrealized gains, and in the process they lose everything.
People who have no real understanding about bitcoin and how it will work will not make it work for long. Though they may be profitable at first but in the end, they will still bound to lose. That is why a lot of traders and investors fail to establish long term profits in crypto market because they never realize that bitcoin is a long term investment, and that investing or trading in it at the present will only secure short and temporary profits.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are people doing except holding Bitcoin? on: September 05, 2022, 09:31:36 PM
Others might have to re-invest their bitcoin profits elsewhere like stocks or real state, sort of diversify your portfolio. WO thread as one of it's kind in this community, maybe some of them are rich already and just continue to accumulate bitcoin overcome. Someone mentioned gambling, yeah, a lot of crypto based online gambling are popping because they know it's a multi billion dollar business and regardless of the market sentiments, crypto gamblers will continue to gamble.
The most common way to make profits in bitcoin is through long term hodling. However, some people also prefer to use their bitcoins to finance into other investments like stocks or bonds, or use it to build a real-life business that will also capable to generate an income consistently. And yes, others also gamble it like crypto gambling since it has also potentials for huge returns.
1519  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 04, 2022, 11:19:55 AM
So it might not be easy for Butler to do a run and gun style and for sure he will be tired as well and the fans might not like it and we can hear boos from the crowd.

Butler does not run like Rigo, so most likely Inoue can still catch him in the end. What would happen is it will take the fight longer but the result, I'm sure it will still be the same as our expectation. Anyway, an entertaining fight is just what I'm after here, so let's hope it will be fun.

The fastest in that division is not going to fight Inoue because he is not a champion anymore, he was beaten by Casimero in a split decision, so he has no business fighting Inoue. With that, Inoue is now having the easiest opponent for a unified championship fight, so it's alright to celebrate early.

What next for Inoue after this? probably we can expect that he will go up in weight, the question is, can he still dominate?

That guy will likely announce his retirement soon, as we can see on his record here;https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/492989

He had 2 consecutive losses already, one from Casimero, and the last from Vincent Astrolabio who is not even a popular fighter.
Let's just accept this fight even though it's not an anticipated one.
1520  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 04, 2022, 10:37:49 AM
GGG does not have to mind the trash-talk, he needs to focus on this fight and prove to the world that he can beat Canelo. Imagine if GGG will win here, that would give Canelo 2 losses in a row and will result in reducing his popularity. People will also remember that GGG is the better fighter between the two, so I understand why GGG is silent, it only says he will do the talking in the ring.
Yep, a good result is sweeter than a good words, if GGG can beat Canelo in this fight, I think many fans already stop to follow him since he can't prove if he's better than GGG. Not to mention how many bettors already lose when he fight Bivol before, they will be disappointed.

Maybe it's either Inoue, Crawford or Spence will become the best pound for pound boxer.

Light heavyweight also isn't a place where Canelo can easily beat the champion, it's a big challenge for him.

GGG winning here does not mean he is really better, remember that Canelo won the previous fight, so they are 1-1 and they need another fight to break the tie. I like to believe that GGG will win here although he is a heavy underdog because he had the momentum and Canelo was just overrated, bookies will certainly regret this time making Canelo the heavy favorite.
