561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xiomi Portugal start accepting crypto on: August 06, 2021, 10:16:36 AM
~~~
While I also use their products (and not only phones!), I won't jump in joy for their smartphones. They are indeed pretty good for their price, but, again, everybody should be warned again and again:
It's a Chinese company with heavy control from their communist party. I would be surprised if they don't "send at home" at least now and then various information about their users. There's a strong security concern around them and one should be aware of what he holds in his pocket basically 24/7.
I don't know if it's true though but they have already claimed to not be in any way connected to the Chinese government not to mention that they don't have plans to divulge their data to anyone and they aren't a big market in China so I don't worry too much but it could be true and that they are really doing something shady.
562  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven? on: August 06, 2021, 09:15:56 AM
in terms of investment or storage, we can say that for now bitcoin is one of the best with a super tight level of security so it is not easy to be broken into by anyone who wants to do evil against hacking our account.because bitcoin is also coated with security so sophisticated that it makes hackers feel very overwhelmed
If you store it on online wallet, I can't exactly agree that it's going to be secure, remember that if it's not your keys then it's not your coins then. Yes I think it's a safe haven but it's an unstable one because of its volatility, maybe for the long-term if the growth in the market is consistent, there's a possibility that bitcoin's going to be considered a safe haven.
563  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most optimistic result of Bitcoin? on: August 06, 2021, 08:31:59 AM
I don't know if it's been said but I think that the most optimistic result for bitcoin is for it to become fully adopted by every countries around the world and we still have what we were enjoying back in the day in terms of privacy because the regulation were relaxed or doesn't have any bad section in it that compromises bitcoin's privacy. Of course, the prices increasing astronomically is an optimistic result too but it can only go a long way.
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Xiomi Portugal start accepting crypto on: August 06, 2021, 07:50:18 AM
Xiaomi fights hard to get as big as possible share of the market (they did surpass Apple!). They started with making reasonably good products at reasonable prices (still, the privacy concerns remain) and accepting bitcoin is just a step forward in getting some more customers.
Does this mean that they'll keep bitcoin or will actually receive fiat at the end of the day? I tend to believe it's still the fiat, sadly. Nevertheless, it's still good news.
When people learn of the capabilities that Xiaomi has on their phones and their price range compared to a latest model of an iPhone, I am sure that their market popularity is going to jump in prices because they do deliver what they advertise on their phone, and I am currently using one of their models and I am jubilant that it's working as intended. It's a good news that they're getting into crypto too because it could add another way for them to profit in the future, I hope that it will expand more than Portugal.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Marathon Invests $150 Million In Bitcoin on: August 05, 2021, 02:02:43 PM
Here we go with more and more public companies pumping the coin's price and setting a much higher resistance point than the one we had in the past. This will not allow small-time investors to buy the dip unfortunately because there will never be a dip, these guys flocking in on bitcoin will stabilize the price to a point that it's pointless to invest on bitcoin anymore. Capitalism yet again wins this time, for God's sake.
Well, if they've bought already back when a lot of negativity was in the market then they wouldn't be worried too much now because they're already set and good to go even if the prices go up since they have a hoard of bitcoin already.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a speculative asset or as currency on: August 05, 2021, 12:53:34 PM
There is no single answer to this question. To whom? Investors, banks, the government - Bitcoin is an asset to them, they want it to be and they fear it becoming a widely used currency, thus, they collaborate and try to offer a misleading alternative - digital currencies, like Yuan.
For most people, it’s something in between. They want to make transactions without being traced, but, at the same time, accumulate Bitcoin and subconsciously wish for the price to grow to make a profit.
Well, you can answer it based on your standings, remember that it's alright to have a diverse answer to promote a healthy discussion because it helps us see differing perspective. For me, a normal person, I see it as both, it can be an asset that grows overtime and I can invest in it and I also see it as a currency because it's been used before and I've used it myself.
567  Economy / Economics / Re: China - everything is fine! But everything is bad ... on: August 05, 2021, 12:15:37 PM
People can still be very much free without going through the route the modern world is going through. Your law has to based on Love for GOD (the CREATOR of this World) and people, and you can't really do this on your own... You need to be released from a prison/matrix and have the Good Spirit guide you.  The Free people should lead those still in prison (not the other way around or blind leading blind) until everyone is eventually free. Besides, a society can achieve this without being authoritarian or a dictatorship
You're teaching them another way to be controlled which is religion. I like to borrow what Dennis Diderot said, "Man will never truly be free until the last king is strangled by the entrails of the last priest." Also, given the human nature, I don't think we will soon let go of dictatorship, we love power and it corrupts the good. China is a cage and people don't know it because they're blinded by the fact that they're bombarded by propaganda and that they are being lied to.
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Increasing acceptance level - Cryptocurrency on: August 05, 2021, 10:53:57 AM
That's nice, it looks like it just really needs some time before people will be able to accept cryptocurrency and also this might be a good advertising as well, some people who are not familiar with cryptocurrency would be able to get curious and probably do their own research on what cryptocurrency is. Let's hope that more and more people would be able to accept cryptocurrency as a mode of payment.
Totally agree, if everything goes the way it is right now for cryptocurrency, then time will be on our side but the only problem that we have to solve is that we have to continuously improve the network for the biggest cryptocurrency in the market because if it can't keep up with the demand, we only see new people not being impressed with it because of how slow it is.
569  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin in the highest level of trust? on: August 05, 2021, 10:12:59 AM
I think Bitcoin has safety, the highest level of security. Censorship resistant and unbreakable. Another way, bitcoin cannot be influenced by anyone, completely decentralized. All proven from history, features over time
Everything else may disappear completely one day. But bitcoin is not.
Dude, if everything else disappears that means that everything is, no exceptions. I do agree with what you've listed though, and I think the only reason those things listed gets compromised is because of the people, if they get negligent and careless, all the things that makes bitcoin strong becomes useless.
570  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin solve the world's debt problem on: August 05, 2021, 09:37:57 AM
Here's the thing though, this debts that you're mentioning doesn't have to be paid in money, these debts gets paid in favors, they don't care about the money and they won't accept getting paid in bitcoin even if we have enough money to do so.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: As of today, Google ads for Bitcoin are no longer banned. on: August 05, 2021, 09:05:02 AM
This is good news.. I thought they had done this a few months ago... but I think this is general crypto advertising, not just Bitcoin. Hope to see legal and interesting things instead of scam advertisements. If it is for decent real products and companies, the ads on the website will not be so bad. Cool
Scams in the cryptospace is going to be flourishing again this time, I think that the ban was a really good thing because it reduced the chances of scam websites being on top of the search results. I don't know why it's a good thing, maybe if we regulate and completely eliminate the possibility of scams getting at the top of the search bar, then there's a possibility that it's going to be considered a good thing.
572  Economy / Marketplace / Re: How do you buy physical items anonymously with Bitcoin? on: August 05, 2021, 08:25:03 AM
damnn this new in never really think about it  Grin Grin Grin there's bitcoin mixing but there's no address mixing  Grin Grin most of youtuber using PO box but it would be great if there is platfrom one time use put the address to someone warehouse and send to you and the address never been save it
I think it's a good business idea if you ask me but the only problem is that it can be used to transport illicit goods that might cause some conflict with the postal authority in your country. Plus what's the worry of doing a PO box if you don't want to reveal your name when sent a mail? I think it's much better if you think about it.
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 05, 2021, 07:45:54 AM
~~~
I don't think we should put the blame on the game I know the OWL is somewhat losing viewership recently but I think it's mostly because of the exclusive deal they took with youtube and we all know youtube's live streaming community isn't that big compared to twitch and visibility isn't great as browsing through their live section is a bit of a hassle.
I didn't blame the game, the community of OW is good and cool and they care about the game, it's the developer that I am angry with because they've been neglectful with their management of the game. Also, don't be deluded that Youtube as a streaming platform isn't great, it's doing just fine even if Twitch is at the top.
574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Ryomei Tanaka on: August 05, 2021, 02:28:45 AM
Since both of these fighters have had very good careers so far, it will be very difficult to decide which one to bet on. Maybe I'll slow down the selection a bit for a while. maybe a few hours before the game starts. I usually find the image a little more effective when I've seen them getting ready behind the scenes.
I would go for a safe bet that Ryomei will win this fight especially with the homecourt advantage meaning that there's a possibility that it will serve him a morale and inspirational boost to win the fight, plus I think Japanese people are more disciplined than Filipinos, I am saying that with what I am saying.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cryptocurrencies price and their effect on gambling industry on: August 04, 2021, 01:24:27 PM
I prefer to HODL my Bitcoin and my other coins in the bull market, which means double the profit from the price I purchased, I only spend Bitcoin in my gambling activity in the bear trend, and so are other coins I deposited, but this is based on my decision only, some gamblers don't care whether it's bear or bull they will continue to play.
That's a good way to not regret your spending habits when it comes to gambling. I don't do gambling with my crypto no matter what's the status of the current market, I only bet with fiat  because I feel like I have more control over spending when it's fiat that I am using.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Exposed to children on: August 04, 2021, 12:48:41 PM
  As I observed many kids expose by the gambling site without knowing their parents that their child are in the gambling site playing and watching ,To prevent this case parents must be observable to their child Specially now that they always in the house so it's a great that we can watch our child everytime what they do.
Parents that let this happen have already failed in becoming a parent, also making mobile devices as a pacifier for your child to behave has been the thing for the past decade and the results are showing, the newer generation is getting more dumber than the last. In the case of gambling, children's phones should have a customized filter to help with the parents preventing children from being exposed early to vices like gambling.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: August 04, 2021, 11:46:57 AM
I know we gamble for fun but in the event; we place a bet with money we would like to make profits from our investment.

The fact that gambling sites always have an advantage over players whatever strategy you develop will always get manipulated against.
Your mind isn't on the right place if you are looking to invest and get a profit in gambling, that's just laughable. Also my tip to OP is that you should enjoy gambling, just play and don't take it too serious because at the end of the day, your target is entertainment in gambling.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will physical casinos accept crypto someday? on: August 04, 2021, 11:07:38 AM
One of the doable ways for casinos to accept crypto would be that of implementing a payment processor that does the automatic crypto2fiat exchange for them. In that way, the player gambles in crypto but casino receives fiat money, thus reducing any administrative and fiscal risks.
Many of my friends who have shops all around the world do this (alongside keeping crypto with larger transaction amounts in order to avoid MC/VISA/AMEX abusive fees).
There's an existing service like that so I don't think that they will have a reason to delay putting that feature of crypto payment system. Also, this thing takes time and experiments because they have to see if the users will try that service.
579  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▄■▀■▄ 🌟BITVEST.io🌟 💰WIN BY 🔶PLAY 📈INVEST➡🔺🎲🎰🔲 | BET CONTEST ▄■▀■▄ on: August 04, 2021, 10:34:29 AM

Thanks.  I feel better now.  I didn't know that it was normal to wait a week or more for a manual withdrawal from this casino.  In the five years I've been playing here, it's never happened before.  I wish I'd have known it was a habitual occurrence before I stressed out. They should explain the possibility of slow withdrawals on their landing page so that we wouldn't worry when they don't pay us as fast as we've come accustomed to being paid with the crypto casinos - some of them pay within minutes.  I'm not going to lie though --> a week does seem a little long in my opinion.

Thanks for your help.
Don't worry too much and don't thank me, I didn't do anything, I was explaining to you that it's a pretty difficult to manage all your money making activities so you don't exactly have the time to spend on frivolous things or things that don't have a high priority, not saying that your problem isn't a priority but think about it, a little empathy for others could go a long way.
580  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC on: August 04, 2021, 09:37:53 AM
^ Because the participants of this campaign are selfish, as long as they will earn from the campaign that is fine even though there are circumstances upon promoting this gambling site that one day, there is another newbie that is next to their victim. We are hoping that they must their own diligence before choosing a gambling site to play. Probably, they are selectively scamming people that have a small error to their account and that is why there are tons of unresolved problems that they can't fix.
Not selfish but also desperate because they could probably waited for another time for some legit and reputable signature campaign to pop up but they didn't which ended with them being scorned by the community, most of them are experienced with protecting bad signature campaigns and website already so I guess there's nothing much we can do about it.
