1201  Economy / Speculation / Re: Angry on: May 20, 2021, 08:59:31 AM
I think you just have to accept the loss, make conclusions and wait for a while... No one knows which way the market will go now... If down, you really better go back in a year if you can't hold your coins for long!
Easy to say when this didn't happen to you am I right? Also you have a really stupid advice, why go on a hiatus when the prices are down? You can take those time as an opportunity to accumulate more bitcoin that you will sell when the prices have gone right.
1202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to Decide: Are You an Investor or a Gambler? on: May 20, 2021, 07:55:42 AM
Who stops you from buying? Do you want others to buy too so you can conform to the norm? See, gambler and investor is different and similar at the same time, the perspective is what matters, you see if you put all your life savings in your investment then you are a gambler and at the same time investor, you are tempting fate because you are putting an all in. But if you are on the safe side, I would probably classify it as an investor.
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Everyone acting like there hasn’t been dips like this during a bitcoin bull mark on: May 20, 2021, 07:16:58 AM
Because a lot of people on the market are ungrateful pieces of shit that thinks that everyday is a green day for the market. They are greedy so they can't wait for it to go up because they want to replicate the profits of the early adopters who got a lot of money hodling bitcoin.

its always been green if you just zoom out because bitcoin started with zero. but then there is always up and down in different time frames which we always focus on when we become traders. elon trying to crash the market can be look at in both ways like the market has to go down first before going up again.
Well, not everyone has started investing in the genesis of the bitcoin market so that's a far fetch optimism to be fair. I know the reason for the market movements, what I was pointing in my previous post was that people wants to get instant wealth right then and there the moment that they'd invested.
1204  Other / Off-topic / Re: Musk deleted his Twitter bio: no longer a technoking and Mars imperator, hooray! on: May 20, 2021, 03:47:02 AM
Not sure why we should celebrate this because it literally means nothing lol. It's not like he's suddenly now not a CEO of multiple companies anymore.

Also, probably.. just probably.. we should finally stop talking about Elon.
OP just hates Elon so much that any move that Elon does that he thinks is positive for us is always celebrated like some sort of pyrrhic victory. I don't think that OP is going to stop talking about Elon until Elon buys more bitcoin.
1205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China bans Bitcoin again in 2021 on: May 20, 2021, 02:53:46 AM
China is like a teenager during their period. Ban crypto today, unban it tomorrow. Say it is good for economy, but deny support of cryptocurrency commerce. Claim that all cryptocurrency is useless, yet promote digital yuan. The number of times China bans cryptocurrency soon will be equal to a number of times people consider Bitcoin to be dead. By looking on economy war between China and US, I would laugh if the US bans crypto today, because China would immediately unban it.
If you still don't know how hypocritical Chinese government is then you should probably read a lot about their history and the hypocrisies that they committed. I think that this ban is going to be a decisive one because they seem to plan to do a nation wide testing phase for their digital yuan and they don't want any other digital currency to overshadow their financial magnum opus.
1206  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: May 20, 2021, 02:11:51 AM
I didn't really understand why Elon Musk wasn't honest about his reasoning for halting Bitcoin payments for buying a Tesla. Because I'm sure that he already knew about Bitcoin mining. But he pretended like he didn't. Then, we deduce that the obvious reason was manipulating the market.
The reason that he wasn't honest is because he is a businessman and there is no such thing as an honest businessman and if there ever is, that is probably not the richest businessman out there. I didn't believe what he said in the first place because I have some hunch that it will be just another market manipulation stunt and I was right, the only bad thing that I did was not follow the hype to make some money out of it.
1207  Economy / Speculation / Re: About time it crashed on: May 20, 2021, 01:12:15 AM
Unfortunately, every ascent has a descent. Again, the scenario proceeded in a similar way. We were on the rise at Christmas time, then we had a nice bull season and finally it was what it should have been and the bear season that I thought was going to be hard started. If it continues to decrease at this rate, the market will drop to 20 thousand dollars before 1 month.
Alternatively, every descent has an ascent or vice versa, it doesn't really matter if the prices will go down in 1 month, the market will recover in the long-term and if you think about it, you have to be smart and panicking in the short-term is going to be a fruitless effort.
1208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Latest FUD from Elon Musk: Tesla Has Diamond Hands on: May 20, 2021, 12:26:47 AM
If his Tweets are like poop, then why still follow him? You don't get anything from following him but just getting frustrated. @lolxxxx is right, we have to stop looking at him because we will only get mad about it.
1209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This isn't the first time the dip has happened on: May 19, 2021, 12:54:26 PM
For me, this is a good time for me to be able to buy coins in the dip. Of course, I need to wait first until the dip stabilizes and we could be able to detect if there would be no further dip. But the volatility is very unpredictable right now so we have to be careful. Anyway, to those who are good at looking at charts maybe you can also share us your thoughts as to how low this dip might reach. Would it go back to 10k? Do you think that we might be seeing the worst of Bitcoin?
I agree, I do plan to buy but currently I don't nhave money to do it and most of what I own are in bitcoin and Ethereum and some alts sprinkled around, I am waiting for my other alts to bloom before I can buy some more bitcoin and hopefully I can get in the market while it is still this low.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will energy consumption be Bitcoins downfall ? on: May 19, 2021, 11:56:03 AM
If we can't do a thing about that energy consumption problem, pretty sure that it will be a downfall for bitcoin but given how there are still gas powered cars even though the first electric car was built in 1946, I don't think that we are going to see bitcoin's downfall in our lifetime.
1211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warning to all the crypto investors and Bitcoin supporters on: May 19, 2021, 11:17:46 AM
I also heard about that, Elon Musk one of the people who worked with Doge, and now he's started to develop doge, make it capitalist, I from the beginning did not follow the hype Elon Musk, I think this is quite dangerous, we ourselves know that doge is just a joke coin, which is used to play games, has no ecosystem.
We don't have any counters to what Elon is going to do with DOGE but we can always s buy a DOGE or two for ourselves in the case that it does go up so we can profit from his pump and dump scheme.
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why crypto (bitcoin) is better than traditional money? on: May 19, 2021, 09:50:59 AM
The betterment of crypto to be compared to fiat or traditional money is based only on perception on the individual himself. Cryptocurrency and traditional money are both co-existing in a single space and what makes them compare is the experience of each and every person using them simultaneously.
Besides perspective, I am pretty sure that there is a general difference that is beneficial to everyone like bitcoin is a growing asset compared to fiat that doesn't grow in value, it is clearly much better.
1213  Economy / Speculation / Re: Am I the only one who wants to see BTC > $75K and Dogecoin < 5 cents or lower? on: May 19, 2021, 08:59:22 AM
I do believe that $75k to even a $100k Bitcoin price will happen some times down the line considering that Bitcoin fell from $20k to around $3k+ and rose back up to $60K+ and have had similar kind of attacks from highly influential people before but still remain strong because I don't think anyone or even a group of persons can end what Bitcoin is now.
Well the drop of bitcoin from 20k to 3k back in 2018 is a little different from the current rise in prices, there are far more institutional investors this time compared to back then so I think that this some time down the line rise is going to be unpredictable because we don't know what happens to bitcoin next time. I hope that the prices are going to go that high but I hope that it will happen when I am hodling more bitcoin.
1214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 19, 2021, 06:52:47 AM
Tell that to the people who has nothing better to do locked in their homes but just gambling. You are right that we should have options but that depends on the person whether they want to make that choice.

there is nothing else to do when you are in the urban area that any moment someone will passby and just hug or shake hands because they wanted to catch up. that's attracting covid so you have to stay inside the house to avoid contact. if possible just keep the eyes on the phone inside the house. those who consider gambling in pandemic times i think are already gambling before the pandemic and they were just reminded they could actually do it online.

in rural areas, however, you can do a lot of things like gardening and whatever you wanna do like sex in the backyard?  Grin
That's the problem with urban areas but I think that if you have a hobby even before the pandemic, I am sure that you can do other things besides gambling. You can do gardening in an urban area if you have the needed things to do it just to be clear.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the motive behind the anti gambling campaign on: May 19, 2021, 06:18:37 AM
Gambling is a vice and a lot of people lose their financial stability with gambling and studies have showed that gambling has negatvie effects to players, so I think that it is enough reason why they have an antagonistic image towards gambling which doesn't obviously work since they don't tackle the problem personally.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker Freerolls or Tournaments with Guaranteed Prize? Or what's your preference? on: May 19, 2021, 05:36:57 AM
Freerolls are good to start to build a sites player base or help a players rebuild his bankroll if he had a bad session, but you should concentrate on adding guaranteeds as well for depositing players.

Freerolls usually pay very small and are a hard grind, whereas a guaranteed has the posibility of making some good money.
If they are building a reputation for the site then probably a guaranteed prize would be the best one but the problem with this one is that it heavily favors users instead of the business which is going to be detrimental for their long-term survivability in the market. I would go for guaranteed prize too as I am a player but if I was on the other side, I would go for the free rolls because it is much cheap and there is a low chance that someone is going to win with those free rolls.
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 19, 2021, 04:47:04 AM
What can we do about it, I mean we need some form of distraction as you've said. That's the healthier option compared to not doing anything and become crazy because of being isolated in your house and having nothing to do, you will lose your mind just sitting in your house staring in the wall.

Its not healthy to be caught on this especially if you drain your time playing, since actually there are more valuable things than that and thinking about gambling is the only option to ease our boredom could actually not healthy to us. Maybe its good that we have option if we need to seek fun but its good to balance our life since to much putting your attention on one thing could possibly put us on bad situation. We still have life inside and its better to spend a quality time to our family.
Tell that to the people who has nothing better to do locked in their homes but just gambling. You are right that we should have options but that depends on the person whether they want to make that choice.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ohio offering lottery prize worth one million for those that get the COVID shot on: May 19, 2021, 04:07:22 AM
We anyways would require to get vaccinated in future if need to stay away and protected form the virus. So any ways if we may get rewarded if we being lucky why to miss the opportunity and go to Ohio and get vaccinated. I would love any such offers  if exist at my city.
Those incentives exist because there are people out there that are pretty stupid and thinks that they are smarter than the people that works in medicine. I love the idea of encouraging people to be vaccinated through giving them an entry to a lottery, this works in a lot of places if you ask me because people are dumb.
1219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dubai's Government and Gambling on: May 18, 2021, 10:53:40 AM
Didn't know about this, I just assumed that they are all strict since Islam is a strict religion that has been following their Qur'an for a long time, not meaning to offend but being more liberal even though your primary faith is strict is a progressive thing to do.
But if that is about gambling, I think the government will not let gambling allow in their country because that can break their rule. Gambling is haram in their country, but we do not know if their people do not play gambling publicly because that can attract the officer to arrest them. Islam is a strict religion and if there something that is not matched with their Qur'an or Hadist, they will not tolerate it. But we do not know more about that, and maybe we need to wait for the next news from them so we know what happens in that country.
Doesn't matter how strict their religion is, I am sure that there are people in their country that is going to break the rules, one example is how come there are gays in Islam dominated countries even though it warrants death? That's the same for gambling, people will do what they want to do because they have free will of some sort.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: May 18, 2021, 10:09:51 AM
Thanks to this pandemic the people wanting to find some way to pass the time and they end up doing gambling. There's no suprises in the recent popularity of online gambling since as I said earlier, people need some distraction and online gambling for some is what their definition of distraction is.
What can we do about it, I mean we need some form of distraction as you've said. That's the healthier option compared to not doing anything and become crazy because of being isolated in your house and having nothing to do, you will lose your mind just sitting in your house staring in the wall.
