1301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? on: May 08, 2021, 11:00:23 AM
The question of which is the better has been answered by itself. Just take a look at the folds of profits made by the holders of Bitcoin since the last five years and those that invested in gold at the same time.

The better investment between the two store of value is Bitcoin as at today. And it is believed that Bitcoin hasn't even reached its full potentials.
In the Shit Hits the Fan situation, I think gold will dominate though compared to bitcoin that needs electricity, gold can be a mode of currency. Maybe gold and bitcoin have their own merits and their values depending on the situation and in this case, I think that bitcoin wins this match.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be hijacked by world billionaires??? on: May 08, 2021, 08:55:09 AM
Most of the millionaires and billionaires in the world showing their interest on cryptocurrencies. It seems to us that cryptocurrencies undergoing to billionaires but impossible because it fully decentralized mature. So all people can participate in cryptocurrencies.
They have the money to buy bitcoin and in turn hijack bitcoin, they can hodl what they bought and let the prices go up until they are satisfied with the prices and then dump all of it. I don't think that hijack is the right word but hostage might be the closer term.
1303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Latin American e-commerce giant bought $ 7.8 million worth of bitcoins on: May 08, 2021, 08:19:38 AM
I find it really low amount of investment considering their marketcap which is around 73 billion dollars now. But it is still good news for Bitcoin adoption of course. And maybe they might have a strategy like MicroStrategy that made $10m investments in parts instead of investing all of it at once.
They might be planning on buying more in the future and they are currently just testing the waters in the cryptocurrency scene. It is indeed a good news, so we all as an individual investor, we have to accumulate as much bitcoin there is because we don't want to be missing on prices going up since companies are buying bitcoin again.
1304  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mixing your Bitcoin might become illegal in the future on: May 08, 2021, 07:43:59 AM
There is very high probability that mixers will be banned in the future. But it doesn't mean they will be gone.
@Darker45 is correct, there will still be people that are going to use mixers and I don't think that people are going to get caught by authorities mixing their coins unless they tell them that they did, that is assuming that the government doesn't have a wiretap on your electronics and tracks all of your movements.

This will always be a cat and mouse game. Some will probably get caught and some will not. The same goes with the traditional form of money laundry which also involves popular banking institutions. It was made illegal but it is still going on strong until now.

Bitcoin mixing may not necessarily mean money laundering but if it is a process which obliterates the tracks of the funds, it will automatically be suspicious in the eyes of the authorities. If a certain tool wipes out how money is obtained or what kind of transaction it came from, it already raises a flag; it triggers an alarm. If it appears to be an obstruction of law enforcement, then expect that the authorities won't be friendly toward it.
I will bet that this law will only have its fangs reared for about three months because that's the lifespan of implementation in my country. It will be a cat and mouse if they were to really implementat and enforce it no matter what happens but I have doubts with this banning stuff. Look at the Great Firewall of China jumpers, they are still around even if their Internet in China is heavily censored.
1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 6 songs on the subject of digital currencies! Have you heard them? on: May 08, 2021, 06:55:32 AM
This is the first time that I have heard of this songs and I am amazed that there is six of them because I find bitcoin a difficult topic to tackle in terms of .usic writing. I will probably listen to them since I love rap and hip-hop music.

It was very interesting for me when I first heard these songs. I also hope that such songs will continue, people around the world pay a lot of attention to the songs and it can be a good way to introduce bitcoin. Wink
You're right, and I do hope too that it will spread around the world, music is a contagious thing and people gather together with music. It will definitely influence some people into checking out bitcoin and cryptocurrency because curiosity is one of many wonderful traits of humankind.
1306  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: May 08, 2021, 06:13:05 AM
it would be wise to invest in bitcoin for future kids . Because bitcoin price just growing every day . the price of bitcoin will reach $80,000 shortly . if i buy some bitcoin for my future gelerations. then they will be rich till death without doing any job.
It would be wiser if you also teach them how to use and navigate the needed parts of bitcoin because it would be useless if they don't know shit about it and you leave them some sort of inheritance in form of bitcoin. I hope that it will be the case in the long-term for bitcoin, we don't have to work for money because we have enough money.

1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My feelings after 11 years with crypto. on: May 07, 2021, 12:59:00 PM
It was your decision at that time, no point regretting real hard with what happened, you have to stand by that words. You and everyone didn't know that bitcoin will be a big thing in a decade so there is no point mulling over your past choices, it made you who you are today. It's not like it's too late to start over.
1310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bull market end on: May 07, 2021, 12:05:46 PM
Since we are not sure went the Bull market is ending and I dont really think anyone can give that king of information, Investing in Bitcoin now for me will be for the long HODL and if it so turned out that there is profits to be taken along the way still, then that's a plus though the market still looks bullish to me from a daily to monthly chat.
Good for you because with hodling, you will be able to get the maximum profit when the big price pump arrives. To be honest, if you put a price that you are going to sell, you prevent yourself from selling your bitcoin prematurely. But you have to only do it if you aren't only depending on bitcoin for daily needs.
1311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: May 07, 2021, 11:33:29 AM
Most likely, when many people become millionaires at once, there will be a financial crisis.
I am not an economist but I don't think that it will cause a financial crisis just because a lot of people became millionaires. If that point ever comes, I better have a lot of bitcoin that I hodl because that would be pretty devastating for me to be in the bitcoin scene and then I don't get to cash out bitcoin when it hits 1 million USD.
1312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Reason BTC must be so slow? on: May 07, 2021, 10:52:33 AM
I don't think Bitcoin is slow. Look at the charts and you will understand that the price rise is very rapid.
Maybe the reason that OP thinks that bitcoin is slow is because there were runs in the market where the increase only took days or within weeks but right now it feels like the prices are going slow in terms of going up in prices. I feel like it is slow for me but I think that it is a good thing because you have a bigger window of time to buy bitcoin at lower prices because it has been speculated that it will go up and you don't want to be missing if it ever happens.
1313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: travelling internationally with a hard wallet on: May 07, 2021, 09:13:05 AM
I don't know about luggages but I think if it is the size of your phone, I don't think that you have to worry about that kind of thing since they will probably dismiss as just another tech device.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will the Fiat slaves from Old school Investment companies get Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2021, 08:37:56 AM
My prediction is that they will only get bitcoin when it is already too late, I believe that they will continue to oppose bitcoin because they don't know how it works and they still make money with fiat. Remember the day that when we reach the 1 million USD per bitcoin, they will probably flock to it and it will be too late because they will experience dumps after dumps.
1315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto kings and queens: Who are they? on: May 07, 2021, 07:57:17 AM
The only one  that I know on the list is Changpeng Zhao and Pavel Durov, I have high respects for CZ but I have the opposite for Durov because he basically made a scammer paradise and they seem to not do a thing about it, plus I don't think that he belongs on this list just because he made Telegram.
1316  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Metromile plans to adopt Bitcoin on: May 07, 2021, 07:21:34 AM
For those of you who despair because we have been on the sideways price for a month or so, this news should give you hope, because we keep seeing them. It's a trickle, day in and day out. I think the price, when it makes a push upwards, is going to hit $100k in a heartbeat.
The current price stagnation of bitcoin is a test of faith for the hodlers whether they are worthy of big profits or are they just another people who follows the hype and sells whenever it is a trending thing to do. 10k will happen and people are going to get caught off guard so you better be ready to take the money out whenever that happens.
1317  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be aware scam Betshah casino - SCAM ALERT on: May 07, 2021, 06:37:04 AM
As @aioc says, you need to provide evidence to make sure that we are on your side, post the screenshot of the letter that has the identifying information of you censored for privacy reasons, I think that email is enough to prove your accusation.
1318  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: holding is not an easy thing on: May 07, 2021, 05:55:16 AM
It is difficult to trade if you don't know how you handle your risks and you are only depending on that coin as a source of income, then probably it is difficult to hodl but if you have a job and your job can sustain your daily needs, then you can probably afford to hodl for a long time.
1319  Other / Archival / Re: Yobit fake trade history on: May 06, 2021, 12:48:14 PM
btw there are no bad feedback about this yobit exchange by doing a simple research on google, i don't know why.. maybe you just the one who discovered their secrets wherien like what you've said they're "spamming" on the trade history ..  Well for me in my opinion its either a bug or a cheating..  If its just a bugs then you will see a big difference when they will update their system. If not then stay away on it. That's the only i can suggest..
Yobit is a notorious scam website in this forum and I don't your point that just because the fake trade didn't appear on Google search doesn't mean that they are a reputable website. I don't think that it is a bug because if it is then they should've fixed it the moment that they saw it and how come is it a bug though, how can something be so fake that it looks like a bug to you?
1320  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: your worst mistake on: May 06, 2021, 11:53:43 AM
The worst mistake I’ve ever committed was being too greedy with my coins and tokens. During the time that I was a newbie, I was not smart enough to sell at a peak price. Instead I choose to hold because that’s what my instinct tells me to do without doing my own research or so.

I had so many regrets in my crypto trading life. There are times that I sell too quickly, and then the next day that coin takes off several fold. There are also times that I just hold for too long, but the coin keeps dumping. But it is what it is, and I have to learn from it.
That's like the mistakes that most of my friends that do crypto have done, they were greedy and so I have learned from their mistakes and now I am making some decent amount although not at trading but at other crypto related thinngs. One thing I learned when the coins keeps on dumping, I just hodl it and keep accumulating because it will go back up and I have to have a lot of coins when that pump happens.
