EMC hash rate going down. and difficulty poised to make a near 3% drop. I wonder if they have any unlisted hashing power that might dropping as well.

So many potential models here we don't have to follow a BitFury version. So it could happen. It could work to decentralize mining. No fabricator would want to lose control over their current share of hashpower. No fabricator would want to have completely decentralized units like the light bulb flood the market and cut the possibility for them to have a reasonable share of the hash rate. How hard would it be to go generic? |

I'm hoping Dogie anwsers. I did not think miners you would be able to reclaim. If as a individual for personal mining you can get that vat back that's big. But either look at hosting center (IE you buy a miner and send it to their location). Advantage you can buy pretty much any miner and host it there. Or you can look at hosting where it's all set up. Not a good person to ask. Ask Pekatete if you want the low down on VAT and the UK. Pek is properly acquainted with the proper application and reporting of VAT as a professional with credentials. Heed the warning. Buy BTC if you want to play with your money, if you are willing to lose that money that is, and have a chance to recoup your investment longer term. That is a reasonable risk. Mining is dead for small to mid-sized mining. If you are not buying petahash with cheap power you are not going to make anything back. Basically what we are saying is that if you want to mine bitcoins at a profit you may have to buy something like this mine:  Your going to need tens of thousands of dollars to get stated. Think of mining like the lottery. Your "hash rate" determines how many lotto tickets you get and therefore determines your odds. It is possible to find a block mining on your home computer, but it is very unlikely. Just like buying 1 lottery ticket. The mines you are competing with are at a scale that gives them the equivalent of thousands of lotto tickets. |

Ah... the relief of it all seeing things being eroded.  Could you guys work faster at dismantling EMC Pool? (owned by the now defunct BFL) I want to get pics of it going down the drain and hitting zero miners before the end of the month. Take a look, the day I posted the Band of Meme's pic, the EMC site had close to a hundred extra miners that are now missing. I can only assume either 100 mining units walked away or it is being dismantled as we speak. Edit: Lets hope Josh will pay the server bill at the end of the month. (Like he apparently did last November/December when people were messing with him over his Military career and he allowed the BFL site to lapse.) I would hate to see the claims if they don't let people drain the hot/cold wallet before then. |

A better sticky would be a rating system or evaulation system of Moderators so that we can have some feedback from the community on what we WANT from our mods. The real breakdown is not what is over the line it is the inconsistency of moderation. You want to see improved systems? Regular feedback and reporting of inconsistency in the moderation activity from the community. 2. Regular review of feedback by the admins of the forum and to train and or remove ineffective moderators. 3. REMOVE THE DEFAULT TRUST and let TRUST be open to all no hierarchy. Too much time is wasted on who is or isn't on the default list. 4. Have a wider range of volunteers as mods not just friends of friends / old boys and have a mentoring system for mods in place. 5. REMOVE ALL PAID SIGNATURES. Causes unusual amount of spam. 6. REMOVE ALL PAID IN THREAD ADS see Dogies guides as an example. Causes an unusual amount of spam. That alone will help REDUCE the amount of needless moderation required and mods and admins can them work on more pressing issues. If the intent of your post is about questioning a user breaking forum rules, I think this is the right place. You should separate those 2 concepts into the proper board areas, so you don't break the forum rules.

If signature campaigns are banned:
1. Accounts won't be bought/sold as people mainly buy farm accounts for signature campaigns.
2. Accounts won't be held as collateral and some members will even stop lending due to this.
3. Members (except scammers) will stop creating new accounts as now their account won't have any value.
4. Activity as well would be affected
I support banning signature campaigns if the first 3 points do take place as I don't support these account sales and find it immoral to farm accounts just to earn few bits.
Yes there are many REASONS for it and many reasons that would benefit the forum if we were to remove the scourge of paid signatures. Are any of the mods participating in signature campaigns or account selling? Keep sigs. Kill sig adverts. |

Okay I'll take that challenge give me the holidays let us see how anecdotal observation holds up to close scrutiny shall we. The point is bias in the application of the rules where "friends" and likely alt accounts of our mods skate free. The patterns exists let us see.

Disabling signatures entirely would affect innocent users as well. A way to disable signature ads specifically would be good. Ignore certain signatures (which would ignore all of that type), and maybe an auto ignore at a certain point is probably the best solution.
Or force all revenue for ads to go to the forum and not let users or 3rd parties advertize in this manner. Ban all campaigns etc. Personal ads in a sig promoting your shop etc is fine but these account sellers / sig campaigns are spam inducing and for the most part truly annoying. Even worse was Dogie's format of selling ads within his guides. Please clear this crap out make all ads be a revenue stream for the forum that way you can regulate more easily and it will reduces the spam a great deal. |

What assurance do you have to back up that Badbear is Quickseller 100%? I think all if not most of your arguments are either wrong or irrelevant.
Rather than starting a thread, you could have checked the default trust list to see that Quickseller is trusted by Tomatocage, and then Pmed Tomatocage asking for a reason why they added Quickseller.
Better question who the hell is Quickseller and what other accounts does he control? For someone to gain a Default Trust place through anyone or to act as an escrow or be a pillar or paragon of the community why should he hide behind several anonymous ID's? That is circumspect and the height of hypocrisy given how many times Quickseller is quick to call out shill accounts as scam artists. Why should we trust anyone that hides his identity? Will this get deleted as well?
