601  Other / Meta / Re: Use of AI on Bitcoin talk on: January 26, 2024, 10:52:03 AM
I believe AI post will not a big deal if the content provided by the AI is really pleasing for the discussion. The problem on AI post was its answer is too general as if you are discussing with a book that gives fact from its reference while forum is a place for a discussion between users means an idea from the opinion of others and not from google which an AI can never provide.
~snip~

It's hard for me to believe that I read this and that from someone who is a "Legendary" member of this forum, and does not see any problem in the fact that someone uses AI chat to create posts that he then presents as his own as long as those posts are "pleasing for the discussion".

I would like to ask you if you understand what kind of message you are sending with your post to all those who will read your post and have doubts about AI posts, but I honestly doubt that members who think like you even understand the difference between content that is unique and created by humans and that which is created by artificial intelligence.
602  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Island in the Philippines. on: January 25, 2024, 04:43:54 PM
Not anyone in Boracay accepts Bitcoin as a payment option. There are approximately 200+ local businesses. Although this is a considerable number, it does not represent the entire community.
~snip~

Last year's data shows the number of 250+ local merchants accepting Bitcoin (LN) in Boracay, but there is also information that more than 400+ merchants in the Philippines accept BTC through the same platform. The numbers clearly show that there are more and more service providers and sellers who want to add this type of payment, and why not if it will bring them additional profit.

Payment is made via LN and fees do not play any role here, and the one who receives BTC can very easily convert it into the national currency within the application.

Pouch.ph now has over 400 small businesses accepting Bitcoin payments, expanding beyond their initial success in Boracay to key cities like Cebu City, Dumaguete, Iloilo, and Bacolod City.

The payments provider also enables Bitcoin payments in Metro Manila through establishments such as URBN QC, Draper Startup House, and KosneyLand, providing alternative payment options to credit cards and e-wallets.

Consequently, Pouch.ph offers a Batch Pay feature that streamlines payroll processes and allows for immediate transfers of funds to employees, suppliers, and recipients, with plans to expand the service to over-the-counter remittances through partners like LBC, M Lhuillier, and Palawan Pawnshop.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Halving effect on: January 25, 2024, 04:27:52 PM
~snip~
If we look back at each time Bitcoin Halving took place in the past (November2012,July2016 and May2020) We have seen tremendous growth in prices due to supply shock.

However, I would like to point out that you may have forgotten one very important fact that changes with each subsequent halving - and this is because the first era of mining "produced" as much as 50 BTC, and the current one only 6.25 BTC (about 900 BTC per day) which will be reduced by another 50% with the next halving.

That "supply shock" you mention is not something that can have an impact like before, because the 450 BTC that the miners will "produce" will not cause any shocks on the market where we already have 19+ million BTC.

I think anyone who truly believes in Bitcoins future could not ask for a better timing to invest into it right now.

Recently, a member claimed the same thing as you, with the difference that he even mentioned the halving date (which can't be precisely determined anyway) as the best date to buy BTC - but I wonder again if it wasn't better to buy BTC when the price touched the bottom and was under $20 000?

Of course, those who invest only for profit and want to "double their earnings" as quickly as possible have reason to be optimistic - but if they had thought differently based on past events, they could have already earned at least 300% on their investment.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETFs approved, Bitcoin is not fraud. Where is Jamie Dimon? on: January 25, 2024, 12:08:57 PM
It's how Jaime Dimon, who's truly a smart banker who saved J.P. Morgan during 2008 Financial Crisis
Did he really? As far as I know the government had to bail the banks out because if they hadn't the banking system and their own economy would have fallen apart. Maybe he is really smart to run such an elaborate scam and get away with it Wink

It's easy for people like Dimon to be "intelligent" when the state is behind you and fixing all your mistakes with unlimited money. In a way, it's a perfect job, because no matter how badly you do something, there are always those who will fix it, and you'll also get a promotion.

These days I am reading about the fact that it is being investigated how much Tesla actually cheated on the displayed data on the energy consumption of its vehicles and how much it received incentives from the state based on that data. It's billions of dollars paid by taxpayers for some self-righteous hypocrite to brag about making the world a better place - while at the same time children and their parents work in cobalt mines in Africa for $2 a day for his "green" batteries.
605  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BINANCE AS HOLDER on: January 25, 2024, 11:47:40 AM
@snuffman8, I personally see no reason why anyone should have a BTC address in their profile, unless they hope to one day receive a generous donation from a secret admirer. I used to have a BTC address in my profile in the past, but it became completely meaningless to me a long time ago - because people don't put their bank account numbers in their social network profiles, do they?

In addition, if you put your address from a centralized crypto exchange, someone could send a "donation" that could only cause you problems, because CEX does not really like coins related to gambling, mixers and anything suspicious according to their criteria.
606  Other / Meta / Re: Other Forum members are more civil than Legendary members, Why? on: January 24, 2024, 03:48:06 PM
If you have some disagreements with one or two members who have Legendary rank, I don't see why you should generalize that all Legendary members are the same? Everyone is free to express themselves in this forum in the way they think is appropriate, even if it means using harsher words or even swearing that others may not like.

If someone can't stand someone's posts, there is an "ignore" option that can be of great help.

They are most times emotional and personal in their contributions to issues of public concern.
~snip~

This is something that makes us human and differentiates us from AI chat bots, and I don't see that you should see anything wrong with that.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saudi Arabia 1M BTC BUY !! on: January 24, 2024, 03:04:53 PM
~snip~
After the approval of ETF, we all thought that Bitcoin price will touch a new all time high. Clearly that isn't the case. Someone with far more power than we can imagine, is surely messing up with Bitcoin in the open market
.

Most of us did not take into account that one of the companies that also received approval for the spot ETF has more than 600 000 BTC in its possession, of which it has already sold about 80 000 BTC worth about $3.3 billion. As far as I can see, this is currently the only reason why the price is going down.

As for this insane investment of $500 billion, it has already been explained that it was not about investing in Bitcoin, but about some kind of "crypto project" that was talked about years ago. Besides, does anyone think that it is possible to just buy BTC for that much money when all mined BTC are currently worth just a little less than $800 billion?
608  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The First Risk Automated Market Maker (RAMM) Technology To The Cryptocurrency on: January 24, 2024, 11:37:33 AM
Good! What sets RammDex's RAMM technology apart from other risk management solutions in the market, bro?

The obvious fact that they use alt accounts to create the impression of some kind of meaningful discussion - and when someone does exactly that, it's quite clear how "good" their project is. I have a very bad opinion about people who debate with themselves.
609  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: 10% discount on Ledger hardware wallets on: January 24, 2024, 11:19:12 AM
I have no doubt at all that there are a lot of people who are ready to advertise Ledger if it means they will earn $10 or $20, because unfortunately for some it is a significant amount of money. If someone manages to get only 5 referrals, that's already a solid salary in some third world countries.

As for the information about how much money they have already distributed in that way, I would not take it as something serious, because considering the honesty in that company, any information that appears is either incorrect or exaggerated. Fortunately, we are not in 2017 anymore and we have a large selection of HW on the market, the dust you will get is simply not worth your security and privacy.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any good explanation to this dip on: January 24, 2024, 10:54:30 AM
I read that FTX liquidated $1 billion worth of GBTC has been the main reason for the price of bitcoin that fall.
~snip~

I read that so far Grayscale has sold almost 80 000 BTC worth as much as $3.27 billion, and the bad news is that they have more than 535 000 BTC. Regardless of the fact that some other funds may be buying a certain amount of BTC, I think that the supply is still significantly higher than the demand and that is why we are at -20% compared to the price that was ten days ago.

The only question is when Grayscale will stop selling, and as far as I can see, there are no indications that this will happen soon.
611  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Other ways of keeping your privacy without using mixers on: January 23, 2024, 04:00:19 PM
Regardless of how you want to achieve privacy, always keep in mind that privacy is something you cannot take for granted and that you must always keep in mind that mixers and all other methods are not completely resistant to various blockchain analysis methods in which a lot of money has been invested and which have been developing for at least the past ten years.

The key thing is that the average user should know that if he uses any "mixing" method, he may have problems in the further use of those coins, considering that centralized services may mark them as tainted and therefore reject or confiscate them. Therefore, always make sure that such actions do not come back to you like a boomerang, especially if you have no reason to hide anything from anyone.
612  Economy / Services / Re: I do have winning casino crypto formula with 200% profit per month, any interest? on: January 23, 2024, 02:57:48 PM
I repeat :
I am new to this forum, if any super MOD/Admin willing to check/verify/review this 100% winning casino formula then I would love to give them a copy for free!
~snip~

This is a lie - because according to what I found, you have several alt accounts with which you have been publishing posts since 2021. None of the admins or mods will ever go so low as to check if the theories of religious fanatics are correct.

I already posted in one of your topics, but since you are still selling lies, here is one more time so that everyone can see what kind of "messiah" you really are.

613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETFs approved, Bitcoin is not fraud. Where is Jamie Dimon? on: January 23, 2024, 12:12:05 PM
Placing personal biases aside, I believe it takes a very intelligent individual to become a CEO of a medium-sized financial institution at the age of 30, help save it from failure, and through a series of mergers and acquisitions, turn it into the largest financial institutions during that time called Citi Group.

Plus he did it again under his leadership in J.P. Morgan. That's why it's very laughable that this person, who obviously has above-average intelligence, could be very misinformed and stupid.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If he is really as intelligent as you think he is, for what reason has he been making statements about Bitcoin for years that are not exclusively negative, as is the case with Buffett, but more like the statements made by a man who can't even understand what Bitcoin is and what is the purpose of existence the same?

From my perspective, he doesn't look like an intelligent person, but I leave it to everyone to think what they want about such people. I have never admired or envied them for what they do in life, and I always wonder about people who are involved in Bitcoin, and at the same time they care what people like Dimon think - Satoshi invented Bitcoin precisely to be an alternative to banks and to the people who manage them.
614  Economy / Services / Re: I do have winning casino crypto formula with 200% profit per month, any interest? on: January 23, 2024, 11:56:30 AM
making money is not my priority.
save and help few smart people can save the world from destruction.
do you see the current wars around the world.

Of course not, you are just a messiah who came to save the world and enable everyone else to become rich, not in spirit of course. At the same time, you will start projects that will be worth trillions and change the world Roll Eyes

I Mr Freejoy, The Messiah Looking For Investor Partners For My New Innovation Digital Currency Project
---
I the real Messiah do have a big vision for a new innovation digital currency system.

But I am a completely alone person, I do not have any funds, machines and other necessary resources to carry that trillions value project.

That is the reason I am looking for supporter, investor, partners immediately right now.

Do you see how people get rich with “Bitcoin”, especially those “first believer” group?
I can make you rich like that and even more than that !

that education courses, not formula to become immortal.
you better read carefully become talk !

It would be good if you read the rules of the forum, but you obviously didn't have time considering that you create alt accounts and write nonsense all over the forum. In addition to all that, I thought that all those prophets whose names you signed promoted ideas that have nothing to do with the materialism you promote, and the use of faith for the purposes you represent is therefore completely wrong.

They say that there is a special place for such people when they die one day, and it is called hell Wink
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 23, 2024, 11:32:21 AM
Looking at the bigger picture, nothing bad is happening - everyone who thinks the price is too high will have the opportunity to buy cheaper, and on the other hand, the more Grayscale sells, the better for the future. Such a concentration of BTC in the possession of only one company is always nothing but a big risk.

The Grayscale sold BTC seems to be going to Black Rock and maybe Fidelity.. so a shifting of the risk rather than an elimination of the risk, but we will see.
~snip~

The sold BTC can go in any direction, but it is still better that a dozen companies have that amount of BTC than only one that, in case of hacking or some other accident, would cause such an upheaval on the market that it would throw us back, not only in terms of the price of BTC , but also the trust that has been built up over the years.

However, even if Grayscale would not be in the equation with its BTC stock, the question is how much we overestimated the spot ETF when it comes to the US market, given that it has existed for years in some other countries such as Canada and has not resulted in too much investor interest.

Big companies like BlackRock and Fidelity with their trillions under management were a very good story, but the question is how much investors actually want to invest in Bitcoin regardless of which instrument someone provides them.
616  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 22, 2024, 04:21:46 PM
Today's #Bitcoin sent to Coinbase by $GBTC/Grayscale comes out to be 18.3K $BTC or ~$740M worth.
https://twitter.com/DaanCrypto/status/1749438652390732048

Now they are down from 619 000BTC to 534 000BTC, which is 13.7%. Today's outflow is not counted in
https://bitcointreasuries.net/entities/50

This can be a poll question: when this outflow will stop: at 0BTC, 1-100BTC, etc. Or when it will stop - this week, next week or in, say, 10 weeks.

I think the end of those sales is very far away considering that the Grayscale has accumulated a huge amount of BTC over the years and now it's time for them to profit. Apparently, only a small number of people understood that the approval of BTC ETFs will not have a positive but the exact opposite effect on the price considering the conversion that happened when it comes to Grayscale.

Looking at the bigger picture, nothing bad is happening - everyone who thinks the price is too high will have the opportunity to buy cheaper, and on the other hand, the more Grayscale sells, the better for the future. Such a concentration of BTC in the possession of only one company is always nothing but a big risk.
617  Other / Meta / Re: Use of AI on Bitcoin talk on: January 22, 2024, 03:40:51 PM
The use of AI on Bitcoin talk is against the rules of this forum . Of course part of the rules on this forum is not to make use of AI to generate posts or to use AI copied text as your own or original text. But how strict is it?

There is no such rule, otherwise hundreds of users who were caught violating that non-existent rule would be permanently banned. The whole thing is still in the gray zone, because the tools used to detect AI are not always precise and reliable, but I still think that the administration should set some rules and equate the use of AI to generate posts with plagiarism.

Posts appear more presentable here when proper paraphrasing and punctuations are used. Unfortunately, not everyone here on Bitcoin talk is a native English speaker or writer hence some persons may find some difficulties paraphrasing or punctuating their write-ups.

Most of the users are not from the English-speaking area, but this has never been a major problem for them in communication - especially since the forum existed ten years before AI chat bots appeared. What I read mostly from users from Africa is that they have very strange ideas about AI, but it's just wrong no matter how someone presents it.

Using AI to "beautify" your posts is just one small level below plagiarism, but in essence it doesn't make much difference.

619  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Spot ETFs approved, Bitcoin is not fraud. Where is Jamie Dimon? on: January 22, 2024, 11:13:48 AM
If you ask me, it's not about whether Jaime Dimon hates Bitcoin or not, or whether J.P. Morgan is making money from it or not. It's how misinformed he is about Bitcoin, and he talks as if he knows or understands how the system works. He's an intelligent man, and if he could set hubris aside, I believe he would respect what the protocol is trying to do technically although knowing that Bitcoin would eat through centralized financial systems.

People in high positions do not necessarily have to be intelligent, because they do not come to such positions because of their expertise or intelligence, but because of that they are eligible according to certain criteria. There are a lot of people who can be called "useful fools" because they serve a purpose and nothing more.

An intelligent person can understand something that is very easy to understand and factually provable to anyone with a bit of common sense. The question is, does he even have the intelligence you are talking about or is he just one of those "useful fools" who says a lot without even being aware of what exactly he said.

Only 1000 users? I thought it was more than that. Your bot is quite famous among us, I mean in my local thread/board. I'm really surprised to hear that. Seriously? I mean, only (+-)1000 users!!?? Shocked

Do not base your opinion on the number of active forum users on how many accounts have been created on the forum from the first day until today (and it is about millions) with real data on active users. In the last 7 days, there were 3821 active users, where about 2300 belong to Brand New, Newbie and Jr.Rank, and less than 1000 to Legendary, Hero and Senior Rank.

In fact, the base of active users with a rank above the Member rank is less than 1500 users, and if you add alt accounts to that, the number of about 1000 users who use that bot is quite realistic.
