Will the helicopter friend return with any news? any new visual features? some more powerful rocket to take it even higher?

not yet but soon
602  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: New Project. A 1 board s19 110 pro. Make it a s19xp Some photos to follow on: March 25, 2024, 08:28:29 PM
two units one with braiins does 32-37th

one with epice does 20-34th

the case in red is Oem seller the green one is my buddy doing a reprint.

the case has a pair of design flaws.

so in my green rebuild I raised the case allowing a set of 120mm x 38 mm fans.

both are running on the same 120 volt 20 amp circuit pulling about 1400 watts total

so you get over 50th at under 1400 watts.

fan speed on the brains all about 3000 rpm all fans are 120mmx38mm Two fan sizes on the epic in the red case the bottom fans are 120x25mm

note the gray Oem grill it is short and does not allow for unrestricted airflow if you put a 38mm fan I used a 25mm fan on the bottom so the red unit does not cool as well as the green one.  also note I have a 12 inch board under the 2 units along with four white rubber feet to anchor my modded  version

you can see the 25mm fan is tight. you could put this red model with the gray bottom and 38mm fans if you set it on a grill like I did with the green one.

fancy duct restricts air I removed it as it should have flaired outwards not inwards

duct is fitted loosely to show it restricts air flow

If you'd count the syllables, you'd grasp that the second result would match Wink
no offense, just sayin'
No offense taken, I get it now because you replied. It's actually a poem arranged in 3 lines with the syllables. I'm glad I asked the question at least I know this now.

practice writing one or two of them.

I started last year at the age of 67.

If I can do them so can you.

"Here is one for you
I did not know the meaning
 Haiku a mystery"

 I queried the wo

Did you know a haiku can have more than one stanza they are kind of fun to do.

607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DCA vs Smart DCA, what do you choose? on: March 25, 2024, 02:19:57 AM
I believe many of us are familiar with Dollar Cost Averaging, DCA but how about Smart DCA.

This thread is for discussion, and I am not concluding Smart DCA is actually Smart and better than DCA.  Cheesy

Quote
I wanted to remind you about the concept of Smart DCA, purchasing BTC during corrections, when the price drops below the 1W-1M Realized Price.

This strategy works well during a bull rally and is much more effective than classic DCA.

A quick glance gives me that is a good strategy but if I look deeper, it is not actually smart.

By using Smart DCA, simply glance at it, we see entries are below 1W-1M Realized Price but we will miss days, weeks before price drops behind the Realize price (blue line) and miss chances to buy when price is even lower than the Green areas that are entries given by Smart DCA indicator.

Share your thinking about this strategy please.

Personally I see a traditional DCA strategy is better.

well he only went back to 2022.

I did two moves other than mining from 2022 oct.

I did 1 year dca weekly and I did buy the dip or smart buys

so 52x dca and four dip buys about 5 or 6 x each or 24x buy the dip.

the buy the dip were all under 20k.

the 52 weeks of dca average was about 26k

both made solid money.

But they were for a years time
608  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 20 days for Bitcoin on: March 25, 2024, 01:45:53 AM
A tiny smidgen better.

At least it's going up, albeit slowly.

More up please. Faster please.

I can only bike 100 minutes a day and a few hundred rubber band pulls. Honey badger has responded some what. As far as I am concerned 80k will get there.
609  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What filters or materials for filters do you use? on: March 25, 2024, 01:25:00 AM
air in is not needed all the time.  for our farm the space for fans was very limited. We could not get proper flow without using input and exhaust fans.

610  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 25, 2024, 12:46:24 AM
sunday started work
pushups are a no go but
one hundred minutes

bike riding done now
Honey badger does not care
but bitcoin rose up.

So I can not do pushups for 100k btc but 100 minutes on the bike and 100 rubber band curls done 3 times for today .

611  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: March 24, 2024, 10:37:15 PM
I got back to doing this today  and BTC rose today.

I did 33 min and 20 sec on bike 2 times.
I did 100 rubber band pulls for each arm twice.

After supper I will do 33 min and 20 sec on bike.  this will give me 100 minutes on the bike and the rubber band pulls.

I guess honey badger wants me to work out.
612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fed rate adjustment on March 19/20 2024 what will happen? on: March 24, 2024, 10:33:49 PM
I think the price went lower because we just had a massive runup with lots of buying from the ETFs and we aren’t seeing the same inflows continue. I doubt it has anything to do with fed rates decisions. That being said, they want to lower but obviously can’t with inflation starting to tick up again. They should raise and try to pop the AI bubble, but they won’t do that either because we’re already seeing cracks forming in housing and private debt. So I think they’ll do nothing but issue a statement saying they’re keeping an eye on inflation.

THAT was actually what the Federal Reserve should have done two years ago. Tighten aggressively, even if that causes a recession, WHILE the people still have their savings intact. Going through it would be easier because they still have their savings as a fall-back. Currently, the people have less to no savings, more debt, and high interests rates with less money in circulation. An economic collapse now would not cause a Recession. It would be worse, a Depression, and it's harder to recover.

BUT let's hope that Jerome Powell is truly in control, and that he will succeed in accomplishing the "Soft Landing".

No he did exactly what was done back in 2007-2008 a longer flat period.  the cut was needed now not in june.  I smell a repeat of 2008.

maybe 🤔 it will help btc more than I think.

A rate cut is actually not needed now, nor will it be needed in June because inflation remains and will remain to be sticky. Plus everyone is very concerned with CPI, that they forget the other important data to watch, the unemployment rate. Jerome Powell's most important decisions will depend on that because if it surges, he's going to be forced to cut rates and turn on the money printer before the economy crashes into a long depression. But if the unemployment rate remains very low, then rates will also remain higher for longer.

and this happened in 2007-2008 the cuts took too long and we crashed.

From the polished parts, you can tell that a large number of superstitious wall street bankers rub those bull balls for luck, before starting their day of robbing people blindly in new and creative ways.

~snip

I'm wondering what they're rubbing the balls with when the two hind legs also seem to be polished at the same level - handholds?

that would mean they are tea bagging the bull Wink
615  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: March 24, 2024, 01:29:40 PM
A very important event is scheduled to happen this April. Around April 16 or 17. It's bitcoin halving again. i.e. number of bitcoin rewarded for mining a block would be halved. It meas half bitcoin reward for equal task for miner. That would also decrease the liquidity in bitcoin provided by the miners. The miners operate on small margin and many could go on loss if they sold their reward for current price so they won't be willing to sell it unless price moves up. Bitcoin in past have seen a good price boost after the halving. And many prediction models place the future price of bitcoin into 190K.
Is 190K too humble or very generous in your consideration? What's your price plans for selling your holdings?

I will ladder up starting at 77777 to 111111. I will hodl most of the coins even if we go to 111111
616  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Joe Biden is a senile, old Bitch on: March 24, 2024, 01:27:12 PM
We'll, how come you people in your ever glorious country of USA don't do anything about it? There's always the option to elect the right people to the position of a president if you ask me so how come y'all don't do anything about that? People got the power, maybe the corporate masters try to say they own us but banding together and you'll see that they're completely wrong. I don't think that Old Joe is even the person that's deciding what's the next move for the country anymore, he's senile and a bitch as you've said so there's no way that he's ever going to be improving anytime soon, maybe you guys should learn who to put in that oval office after this disgrace of an old man.

There no option to fix usa election system.

Basically here is a bucket of shit and here is a bucket of diarrhea take your pick.

My state allows for a write in vote I could vote for myself at least I am younger then either one of them.
617  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2024 price prediction on: March 24, 2024, 01:22:14 PM
Someone actually voted that Bitcoin would be below $19k at the end of the year. Well, it is possible and it’s only just an opinion, but unless some really negative news happens and affects the crypto market at large, I don’t believe that is possible. I’m guessing it could be $60k - $69k, maybe because it has spent too much time already in that range? But the truth is that it isn’t easy to predict because almost anything could happen.

I think the poll should have lasted longer since it is about the end of the year (which is still distant).

They kind of screwed up the question. Top choice was 70k plus we did that.

They added 100k for an edit.

but I guess they are asking for the dec 31 2024 price.
618  Other / Meta / Re: [REQUEST] the wall observer thread should be pinned. on: March 24, 2024, 01:07:22 PM
missed this I changed my mind you are a whining little c word.

I have not been exercising and to be truthful gained some weight plus my slacking off matched the btc price retreat. So I am getting up out of my chair and going on the bike for 33 minutes.

I will shoot for 100 minutes on the bike today hoping that honey badger cares about me and my 100 minutes for 100k
Hahaha that's a ton of hope there. If its would  happen that way  I would encourage you so you would do an extra 100 minutes making it 200 minutes in total so that way Bitcoin could hit 200k  Grin Grin Grin I bet Hodlers will rejoice.

Currently I guess Bitcoin won't be hitting a new all time high till after halving. And besides every one is hoping that by halving, it shoots to 100k or even more and from the boosts in price we have seen for a couple of weeks until recently I guess it will.

Anyways I guess it's quite funny how everyone hodling is happy about the halving but miners aren't that much. Imagine receiving half of your initial reward for same amount of cryptographic work. But I guess a price pump would still give them a little pump in value of their rewards.

Just did 33 minutes and 20 seconds on the bike. I will do that three times today for 100 minutes on the bike.

I also did 100 rubber band pulls with each arm.

I will also do three planks adding up to 100 seconds today.
619  Other / Meta / Re: [REQUEST] the wall observer thread should be pinned. on: March 24, 2024, 12:21:09 PM
Is hard to fish out those who break the rules and I some how get why some users are saying that the WO thread should be pinned, if that thread was opened by a newbie I believe some actions would have been taken, so let's forget about how things are been done over there, the merit is not something we can take home.
The culture of the WO thread had evolved over time, and more or less, various members of the forum petitioned theymos to reopen the thread because the culture of the WO thread was something that several of the members wanted to keep, and theymos agreed to such retention of the thread - after several of us voted for a new thread owner - and largely the member who won the vote had pledged to leave the thread as it had been with little to no intervention... which likely contributed to his winning the vote of the them interested (or those who voted in that vision) members.
Which means this isn't something that took a day or weeks to begin and since it has been this way I don't feel there's any need for a reshuffling, from all you said it seems like this thread WO is the oldest thread in this Forum, after passing through series of vote and I don't think we have any thread on the Forum that made members to vote for it (the thread) to stay up till this very moment, much respect should be given to the WO.

It is not even close to being the oldest thread on the forum (even though it is surely the longest and I believe has a pretty high ranking in terms of long threads in any forum), and it even had a couple of predecessor threads that were on the same topic, but I think that there was a desire to convert the thread from a regular thread to a self-directed thread since from the perspective of the then owner adamstgBit there had been too much deviation from the topic and trolling, so he created the thread that is currently the WO as a self-directed thread rather than a regular thread.

The thread just took on a life of its own, and in that sense theymos allowed the thread to continue with a kind of "special treatment" status, mostly in terms of playing out as a kind of anything goes thread - even though regular thread participants will get pretty irritated if any members come in there pumping shitcoins, which still does happen from time to time, even though mostly the members tend to be mostly bitcoin maximalism oriented, even though there is no requirement that you have to be a bitcoin maximalist to participate in the thread.. to the extent that any of us like those kinds of labels in the first place..

Several of the regular thread members appreciate new thread participants, even though sometimes we will beat them up a bit if they seem to be coming to the thread in a trolly or shilling kind of a way or maybe seeming to have some other personality problems.. .. yet in the end, even the participation of the active members in that thread has changed over the years. .. some new members get worn out by trying to keep up with the thread, and I think that participation will go up quite a bit during high price movements.. and surely there were some times in which there were 20-30 pages added per day, even during the time that chartbuddy was not active there... so if you think about it, just with chartbuddy, there is slightly more than one page per day, since he has hourly posts - which would be 24 posts per day (when he is not broken down - which is fairly rarely, these days).

620  Economy / Speculation / Re: Top 20 days for Bitcoin on: March 24, 2024, 11:50:50 AM
A tiny bit better but still scraping along pretty much sideways.

We're overdue for some serious up.

It's going to be interesting, assuming up in the next week or so.. or maybe it will take longer, I am not sure... but are we going to skip $70k on the way up or not?

I am kind of torn about the odds, since it seems almost too much luck to completely skip it, yet I have no problem if that might end up being how it were to play out.. . .Maybe give it less than 43% odds of skipping $70k on the way up - assuming up at some point in the near future?

why not 33% Wink
