601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 02:20:47 PM

This depends on the goal. If it is to maintain cash flow when gambling and make it easier to control yourself with the records created, then this would be a good thing to implement. On the other hand, if this only makes someone more frustrated because they see losses that are too big and become uncontrollable, then it is best not to keep any records.

I agree with @acroman08, because keeping records or not that makes us bad as gamblers, but our wrong management that will make us bad. Because it is not recording losses and wins that will make us gamblers who are too eager to win. However, uncontrolled inner desires that increase addiction and greed make things worse.

Agree.
It's not like a business where the gambler has to have a balance sheet and there is no one subtracting the taxes from the withdrawals. To me, it is not necessary to have those records.

I have no reason to look at my losses as it just makes me regret what I'm doing so no records. But If I wanna do it, I would just look into the history of my account from deposit history down to betting history which I think will reveal how much I have lost.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you not gamble on women sports? (tennis not included) on: October 10, 2023, 02:12:43 PM

If you are a woman, I think it's normal for you to support women's sports.  I can see this could turn the subject into something else.
Obviously, the majority of the users in this forum are men so it's understandable to see discussions for men's sports and betting. It's always men who discuss sports and betting.

Somehow a group of ladies doesn't always discuss sports with them, they just talk about boys. I don't even see the women talk about WNBA that is supposed to be for them. Instead, women watching the NBA.  Grin
603  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Is Better Than Digital Gold on: October 10, 2023, 05:51:04 AM
Gold market existed long before BTC, sure its cap is way bigger. But majority of us here will prefer BTC of course, it couldn't really convince anyone to solely leave BTC and choose gold. It is not going to hurt the investor does have gold along with BTC.

Time is very uncertain now so whatever could happen, your survival depends on how much investment and the kind of investment you have. Gold can be paid to someone who doesn't understand BTC.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]Adrien Broner vs Chris Howard (Welterweight) Nov 4. . on: October 10, 2023, 05:10:54 AM

Pacman didn't do much damage to him but Maidana humiliate Broner more which I thought he'd actually stop fighting after that fight. Broner considerably has a good record though despite his showboating that end up badly.

He is fighting an unknown boxer. I tried watching Chris on youtube he seem a slugger. A perect pair for Broner.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casino Crypto gambling on: October 10, 2023, 04:53:50 AM

This forum is full of gamblers who uses BTC. There are high rollers that who occasionally pops especially in sports betting, these are the guys who has analyzing skills but I don't often see roulette players sharing screen shots of their luck.

The skills you learn in gambling depends on what kind of games interst you, if you just stick with luck base games I think you will learn startegies outside the game like martingale which focus on profit yet rely on luck.
606  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender in Gambling [differences between Women and Men in Gambling] on: October 09, 2023, 04:54:24 PM

So there will come a time when all this inequality thing about women will be gone.

Not happening because it's a matter of pride for a man. Would you accept a woman shouting at you demanding you to clean the toilet?  I doubt this especially if they do it right in front of your friends like they mock you at your expense. Because they wanna show who is the boss in the house.

Yes. its a different world and OP took it to another level like which kind of woman is fit to be a wife. Whether a  woman just playing slot which is based on luck or a woman who plays poker which is a skill-base. It's a wonder if OP will ever pick one but consider one and you both stay together for a long time.  Wouldn't it be fun to see your woman play games?

607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In Case of Global Conflict, Is BTC The Best Alternative? on: October 09, 2023, 03:45:21 PM
In case of war, Bitcoin in not usable, because probably you will not have electricity and Internet. Plus banks will be closed, so you can not exchange Bitcoins to FIAT too.

Fiat will still be acceptable as long as the inflation doesn't make them worthless. But we sure can see it will go that way if war tends to prolong. It is safe to assume banks will still launch CBDC though. This I think is one of the most possible things to happen even when there is war.

We know gold is sound currency but I doubt it will be important for the people when chaos strikes, the food, water, and medicine are going to be more valuable than BTC and gold.
608  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: October 09, 2023, 03:14:36 PM
This is in accordance with the proverb that says, “Everything that is forbidden is desirable,” on the basis of which we find a huge number of users in the gambling industry are from countries where gambling is either forbidden by a religious text or prohibited by a law derived primarily from religious legislation, or both. International gambling companies that are able to provide services to these countries have been able to reap profits in the millions, perhaps more than their users in countries that legalize and regulate gambling activities.

Do you have any data supporting about huge number of people contributing on gambling industry came fro region that forbidding it? It will be interesting if this is true since it only means that restrictions on this said countries is very lousy which their citizen can bypass it. I believe it’s still the country that accepts gambling openly still contributes a lot on the gambling industry globally.

There’s no way an online casino can get license to serve legally those countries with strong restrictions on gambling since the government themselves doesn’t want gambling to spread with their citizens.

Anyone can bypass with just simple tools we find online. Not sure what he meant when he said those casinos reap more profits from them than users from countries that are allowed to play. But maybe because users who bypassed restrictions are not able to report or file lawsuit because it's not a good idea to get caught sneaking.

But this is different from users who chose to hide their gambling activity from anyone, they are doing it by choice because of privacy primarily.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If we lose in gambling, what do we need to do? on: October 09, 2023, 02:35:04 PM
Since you don't have much. You better stop and just consider a sure win like getting a job and maybe a second job.

You won't miss anything in gambling or in the casino since you are not hooked into it yet I presume since you ask this question. The best you can do is just focus on where you are good at because that's what normal people do and quit gambling while you haven't lost thousands yet.

Join the rat race and climb up. You can't just go straight up without consequences. Marrying a rich partner means slavery as well.

Don't think the rich partner will do the cooking and carry your burden ass the whole time.  If they see you just watching TV all your time when they get home, they will ask what you did the whole day. You better prepare a good answer because she/he will kick your ass for being useless.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling sites promotion at espncricinfo on: October 09, 2023, 01:57:10 AM
Isn't that a rotating ad space on that site?  I'm not aware cricinfo is so popular but because of that nature a lot of businesses want to take a test adverts on the site to see if the ad is profitable.

Often times this rotating ads are done when the ad space renter wants to test or just have less funds to fully take the space by themselves.  Is Lays even the popular snack for cricket fans while watching?
612  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why won't the US government give up? on: October 09, 2023, 01:44:52 AM

While its true government is up to control BTC, I would really take the word from SBF being disappointed to governments action. He works with Gensler the whole time yet now he is acting like he is a victim.

Its not surprising to see government wanting BTC to be doomed and win back the control for if they don't have the control of money they couldn't not carry out law and order.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Lady Cried After Losing to Sports Bet. Gambling is Not Your Mate. on: October 08, 2023, 08:10:08 PM

A news reaching me today that she gambled all her money and that was she breakdown to cry. Addiction can make someone to loss everything and she was addicted to gambling in that matter. Well she has seen the result of the addiction. This one would have been a good lesson for her but since was an addicted to gambling I don't think she would learn lesson from it. And if she doesn't stop this habit, it will affect her in her husband family. So I wish her to learn her lesson and quit gambling and focus on real life business and probably invest the money in bitcoin.

If this isn't just a marketing of Sportybet. Then the family of that woman already knows what she's battling already and I think the husband will have doubts about giving her all the funds. The father will likely assign someone or will simply do it himself to buy stuff for the kids and pay the bills himself.

All it needs to make her stop is just to have no money to play. It will be different from now on for her. That might just be how the husband would handle it.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: October 08, 2023, 05:54:02 PM
It is true that there is nothing to blame books and movies they usually show the real picture of the society. Various writers and film directors have published the happenings in the society in some books and some through pictures. From now on we have to refrain from bad actions with education which takes shape in the society. Self control is the most important thing to reflect the society properly. Justice is easy to achieve if the person properly abstains from dirty deeds.
Writers and film directors show people what is happening in society and warn them about the dangers of gambling. By watching films and reading books, people can at least learn how to control themselves so they don't experience bad things or even commit bad actions. Rather than cheating against the casino, they should not have to go to the casino to get money because they can use other ways to get money. That would be much better than gambling and losing money because instead of losing money, it would be better for them to have the money to buy food or their daily needs.

That's a good lesson, you definitely should not go to the casino to get money. It's good when readers and moviegoer draw a lesson like this. But sometimes books and movies teach that the casinos are cheaters and there's nothing wrong then to cheat on them, and that's a bad lesson, I would say.

Absolutely agree with you, honestly I also never thought that there was a way for us to cheat in casinos, casinos really involve a very large turnover of money in it, so with that alone I think we should be able to understand that they casinos will not give the slightest gap for us to cheat and obviously their security system must be tighter. That's obvious, and if we continue to try various ways to cheat with the aim of getting a lot of money from there I think it will just be a waste of time.

Of course, it's better not to gamble because whatever method you bring will not work if your goal is to cheat to get a lot of money. As we know that the concept of gambling is just a place to have fun and that means there is absolutely no promising victory let alone for consistent results it is very silly. So instead you want to get a lot of money but instead you yourself experience a lot of defeat because you keep chasing victory while the casino makes a system that only benefits them and little for gamblers. So the point is you have to think before you do it, it's pointless and it's better to find a job that is certain.

I think in land-based casinos cheating is quite impossible but I don't know if it is possible in online casinos. Anyway, I believe that gambling is already a risky activity and doing any cheating act will make it even riskier. Aside from cheating being an unethical practice, you are just putting yourself in risky situations. You can be banned or in the worst case, you can even get arrested and have fines from cheating. Also, if you have once cheated and it worked for you, there is a huge possibility that you might do it again because it worked on your favor, and thus you didn't get caught. And certainly cheating would become a habit to you which is not a right thing to do. So, if by any chance that cheating has every crossed your mind, I think it is much better to stop immediately than committing such act.
I don't know why does gambling should have involve cheating, because in the first place it should just be about fun and enjoyment.

It's not about fun and enjoyment. We're old enough to know that.
It's possible to cheat in online casinos, it's harder than cheating the traditional dealers in offline casinos. It may be possible if a user can create a program for his cheats just like the autoclickers or the traders who can develop their own bots. Some cheat by abusing their no-deposit signup bonuses.

So many people wanted to make money through online casinos, if they could just count cards, they would.

Of course bookmaker's picks wins but there's always a loss because of this one team.  Maybe because I'm not really a big fan of the sport and I aam betting on a league that is out side my country.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) Pumps 10% As Elon Musk Links Memecoin To X on: October 08, 2023, 03:42:09 PM
This source was several months ago and we know that at that time the Twitter bird logo was replaced with the Dogecoin logo, resulting in a jump of several percent, not surprising because the key to the increase in Doge is Elon Musk, the owner of X.

Holders are probably hoping that Elon Musk tweets memes again to create hype in this coin? Ohh, this can't be predicted at all but I'm not a doge fan because placing hope on meme coins is like gambling but it will explode in time.

Don't get your hopes up, but wait for Elon Musk to act again.

BTC halving is so close and everything will be going up soon. It does not even need Musk for the price of Doge pump.

Seeing however that Doge rises up to $0.70 during the bull market and then drops to $0.06 in the bear market makes Doge not good for long-term hold. I learned this from experience as I have tried doing it since 2021. Now I'm just using Doge to bet. If it ever goes up this 2024, investors who also held it for a long time will likely unload them.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can’t cope on my own. What do you think I should do? on: October 08, 2023, 03:05:57 PM
Here the decision is with OP. He needs to take it rather than getting other people's opinions. He has won through the free signals, as the time ends he's supposed to go with VIP subscription. If he hadn't taken subscription and lost the next bet, his mind will think he had lost just because he hadn't got the right signal from the channel. Op's mind had got prepared in such a way.
All decisions are in OP hands but he is here to ask for advice and consideration from all the members here who are gamblers and I think what OP is doing is the right action because when subscribing to VIP he has to spend money every month and of course he doesn't want to be cheated by betting channel on telegram group.
Some channels may be able to provide good betting predictions and have big chance of winning but finding channels like this will be very difficult plus there are quite lot of scam betting channels that only carry out fraudulent actions against subscribed gamblers.
OP is ok but telegram channels are mostly scams now its hard to get correct information. This is why one's own intelligence is most effective the best way to avoid cheating is to make a plan so you can be a little more responsible and maintain that excitement. The important thing here is that you try and stick to that plan as much as possible. These plans don't have to be complicated and illogical they can just be a rough idea of how much you want to spend on betting.

As for me if the price of VIP subscription isn't something to really cry about, I will be fine joining to review what is really in it. If it's just $25, it would be a good adventure somehow.
I missed OP's response about whether he mentioned the fee though.

Not in my lifetime I would pay to join if it is more than $25. I am a fan of a particular sport, but I will sure try if it's an 80% winning rate like OP said.

618  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: October 08, 2023, 02:39:19 PM
I don't mean to offend Miocic, he is one of the best heavyweights in the UFC. But the era is over. Defeat via knockout by Francis will not make Miocic the same person. The Jon Jones vs Miocic fight would only be interesting if it was held some 6-9 years ago when Miocic still ruled this class. A Mocic vs Jones fight will only add to Jones' UFC win record as I am almost 90% sure Jones will win.

It's not just that nasty KO from Francis (although it surely had some serious impact). Stipe is now 41 years old, his will be fighting after over a 2.5-year break. It's pretty obvious that he would've retired already and only agreed to fight Jon Jones for the money. I'm guessing it could be the biggest payout in his career. I doubt he actually believes he can win it or has any strong ambitions of getting the belt back.
I have nothing but respect for the guy and probably will be rooting for him to win, but we all know that Aspinall (or even Pavlovich) would be a greater challenge for Jon Jones.

Pavlo might have a bigger chance with Jones than Aspinall. But the bookers know it's still Jones, both may have a KO punch, and the striking can only matter if they could hit Jones by surprise just like Green hitting Dawson.

You couldn't tell whether Green's punch does have a weight but it KOed Dawson which started the hammer fists. Not a very expected fight plan for Daawson, he is more of a grappler so it's disappointing not seeing him tried to takedown when there is aa chance.
619  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 🤝Referral Program 2.0 | 💸Get $1 500 + 30% from Referrals on: October 07, 2023, 06:20:28 PM
It's not like they would need coders to write cryptographic protocols. Their token seems pretty generic, so it doesn't take brightest minds to come up with something like that when it doesn't really need development anyway as the mechanism for keeping it in the site for dividends is pretty easy concept to understand, even for someone like me.

Tokenomics just have not been clear from the start and they never clarified about their end game plans on burning in the future, so i guess we just have to believe they keep burning for now. They are just not burning meaningful amounts to have any effect on anything.

It's worth noting that the Betfury team still prefers anonymity, but at the same time, they state on their website that there are more than 26 people on their team who are involved in developing the project. I believe that most of them are engaged in the development and support of the Betfury site, not the BFG token. So, I wouldn't expect any improvements in terms of BFG burning or anything else.

I wonder what kind of improvements we can/should expect. The BFG token is still what it was before, and I don't expect any changes. As I remember they are burning just tokens that people lose by playing and from auction, so it's meaningful, but people like to hold it more than spend it, which is understandable.

It's a nice thing that now we have the option to buy/sell BFG tokens on the site.

They are just hoping for quiet not sure to happen since for long months that BFG perform the same I guess there's low chances that they get a great recovery since for taking the developments long and not listening for this token to be listed on more reputable exchange I guess those old investor would hardly trust to acquire this token again. But there's still hope for it if Betfury team will do some nice action towards giving some exposure of their token then create some good methods to increase the demands of their token. For now the only thing we can look for is they are at cheap price but actually its hard to gamble with it since we are not sure if we can still see a good rise for this token.

Hard to create a demand for casino token when the purpose is just for staking. Its hard for an altcoin to be adopted and treated as currency in order for it to have demand. Even BTC is still considered an investment asset for the most part of its usecase.

I couldn't find the link that we can buy/sell BFG in betfury. No internal exchange but do you mean the buy button where we can use the Gpay. Applepay and Visa?
Whenever this thread comes up, it gets me updated and check the casino from time to time. There is no changes to it since except that Referral $1500.
620  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting paid on gambling accounts on: October 07, 2023, 05:40:51 PM
It’s important for me to tell this story so that others don’t make the same mistake I did. This has been a huge life lesson in managing money and emotional self-discipline .

Wow, so you mean to tell me that you submitted your gambling wallet address to your campaign manager when he requested your payment address? Sorry to say this but that wasn’t a wise decision.

The reason why we always calculate how much we are going to put in our gambling account is to make sure we don’t over spend and trust me if you have up to a million dollars in your gambling account you won’t be aware of when you’ll finish everything and that’s why you see people come to the forum and give stories of how they spent over ten thousand dollars in a week on their gambling account and for you to have been receiving your payment in your account seems like a dumb mistake IMO.

I’d suggest you change your wallet address to your non-custodial wallet address and after receiving each payment you can then be depositing bit by bit into your account rather than just putting everything at once. But if your main purpose of participating in a signature campaign is to fund your gambling account then no issue with that.

Using gambling account in order to receive payment from participating signature campaign is not good decision cause we are all know that not all the time in gambling we can make a profit.  And like what you said above that there's a time when we play and loss all our funds then regret is always in the past. Do it's better to not give our gambling wallet address to our signature campaign manager in order to prevent  such loss like OP did

The campaign is meant to run where participants are paid inside their account in the casino. Which if you are planning to play, its going to be convenient as you won't need to send it to a casino as you are already in a casino. That's one advantage off it. For a campaign participant, I think they know this before joining the campaign. Its not required but feeling it and learn more about the casino you promote is kind of good. You will be able to promote the casino better when you know its services well.
