621  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 02, 2023, 02:18:52 AM
Except for the Bear market that already happened in 2022, I always believe that the last 3 months of the year will always be bullish, and there's no difference this time.

As we've seen already, the price of Bitcoin in the last 2 months went up, and I don't know if it's only me, but I always have this gut feeling that when it's the month of December, it's always been a bullish month (except for when we are in a bear market). This month is my birth month, and one of my wishes is to end this year with Bitcoin surpassing the $40,000 price or even the $45,000 if possible. Smiley

Overall, I would love to see the market go up, but still, I will not sell any of my portfolio this month, so whatever the price movement is, I will accumulate more, and more cryptocurrencies. Smiley Good Luck to all, and I hope all of us will gain profits this month.
622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Most Traders are Not Profitable on: December 01, 2023, 06:57:54 AM
~
The true 5% of traders that are very successful and profitable do not even have a YouTube channel (only a very few exceptions). They are strictly for trading only, day in and say out.
Thanks for posting this. Now I realize that trading is not really for me because I tried trading 3x already, and lose 3x, and I'm done losing my money thru trading.

These so-called traders in YouTube? Can you call a trader a "trader" still even though they are losing money constantly? I mean if they are trying to find a way to earn like doing doing Youtube videos to have ads, and affiliate program then they aren't traders anymore, but they can be called as Youtubers, or maybe "shillers". Some are scammers unfortunately.

There are many reasons why most of the traders tend to fail. Lack of knowledge, lack of patience, wrong decisions, emotions, etc. Trading is accessible to everyone, but not everyone can be a successful trader.
623  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New here and wants to make some money on: December 01, 2023, 06:09:48 AM
Hello everyone,

I'm totally new and I don't have a steady source of income so I'm looking for some help, nice to meet you all 😊
Unlike other newbies out there, you're pretty straightforward, eh?
How do you look this forum? A freelancing website like Fiverr? Or Upwork?

If you want to look for a steady source of income, go to different freelancing websites. There's almost 150+ of them. Just make a quick research, and you will find them all. I'm not saying that you can't earn here, but as a newbie, well unless you will do what other newbies out there are doing which is posting "Proof of Authentication" daily, you will not earn here. You can't achieve your dream here of making "Steady Income".

Go find a job outside. If you need to learn a skill, do it. The forum can give you knowledge, but it can't give you steady source of income. I don't know if I need to welcome you, or after knowing that you can't get a steady income here, you will just left the forum. Tongue
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 01, 2023, 05:32:02 AM
This Pistons can't even beat Wizards, tonight I expect another loss against Knicks. The squad has good players but there is no team, zero chemistry, no leader. I guess it's time to use some of these pieces for trades and build a team. We've waited long enough. Even if they tank to the bottom, they still can't get first pick so there's no reason to chase draft picks anymore.
They tried to tank last season. Tried to tank just to get that generational player in Wembanyama, but they just got unlucky and went all the way down to the 5th spot.
Well, they still got a good player in Ausar Thompson. It's just that the whole management is just a mess. You've said already that there are no zero chemistry around them even though they already got a good coach in Monty Williams. I don't know if it's the management, or the players, or the environment around the whole team or whatever it is, they're still one of the worst teams in the league, and it has been like that for years already.

Pistons fans must be disappointed on how their team is performing for the last 2-3 years or even more. What they will tank again hoping to get another good player? The longest losing streak in NBA history is 28 games by the Sixers. They're halfway on it already. Smiley The Pistons and the Spurs are now battling for most consecutive losses which is kind of funny.

Ok guys I changed the poll. Our new question is first team to get 20 wins. Which team do you think will achieve it?

Right now Celtics is leading with 14 wins, they only need 6 more. Magic and Bucks from the East, Timberwolves and Nuggets in the West have 13 wins each. Very close race is going on right now.
I went for the Celtics with this one.

They're one of the best teams right now. One of the best defensive and offensive teams currently. The acqusition of Jrue Holiday really covered up their lack of defense since they traded their 2 best players in Smart, and Williams. Porzingis is already playing his best career since he's on the Knicks. I just hope that they will also play like this when they clinch into the playoffs. They're just a few wins away from winning the title in the last few years.
625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Joy of forgotten Bitcoin accounts... on: November 30, 2023, 04:58:51 PM
~
This put a huge smile on my face, because it is the EXPENSIVE holiday season and I need all the money that I can get to fund this silly time of the year.

Have you experienced the same thing..... please share your story with us.  Wink

I just hope that I also did the same as you did years ago, but no I didn't. I know all my accounts, and I still have their username and passwords.

What I only remember is a cloud mining website called Eobot, and I remember that I did put some Bitcoins there. Those Bitcoins are the ones that I got through doing some faucets back when I was a newbie. By the time I saw this thread, I tried visiting that website, but it wasn't existing anymore. I was a newbie at that time, and I don't care about it anymore because, after all, I got it for free. Cheesy

TBH, you're lucky that you still have those coins that you deposited 5 years ago. Most of them either forgot it already or if they kind of remember it, they already forgot the username and password that they used. I guess I need to congratulate you because you will have some money to be used in this upcoming holiday, or you will have some coins that you can sell when the bull run happens. Smiley
626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can about this forum??? on: November 30, 2023, 03:34:49 PM
I am new to this forum. I don't know exactly what I'm running after. I am slowly learning how to work on it. But there is not much clear idea about how to work here. I think more time should be given. Can you help me in any way?
How to work on it? Like what are the things that you need to do here something like that?

It feels overwhelming at first because that's what I felt as well when I was a newbie like you, but don't rush everything. If you're here for knowledge, everything is here, but of course, there are other ways for you to learn like watching documentaries online, watching educational videos, etc. Now if you're here for the "MONEY" then just focus on your day job, and don't follow those newbies out there who are constantly posting "Proof of Authentication" every single day just for a few bucks. Not worth it for me.

Learning takes time. Researching takes time. Many here can help you and can give you some links that will lead you to the information that you need. This forum alone isn't the only place for you to learn, but most can be learned here. Welcome OP, and Good Luck.
627  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Only Sell what you don't need. on: November 30, 2023, 07:20:11 AM

Just my two cents.
Well, I want to agree with you, but whenever an investor goes, and sells their belongings (including property), I believe that they've decided it twice or thrice before doing it because the involved money is so huge that they might get affected when they lose it.

I don't know if there are some here who sold their property and ended up losing money investing in Bitcoin. Maybe those who sold their properties, and then bought Bitcoin when it was at its peak are the ones, but those who sold their property let's say last year, for sure doubled their money already. After all, it's all about risk management. If you believe that what you're doing will be beneficial for you in the long term then by all means do it. If you believe that selling your property today and buying Bitcoin will be good for you, as long as there is nobody that will stop you then do it.

I know that there are some who don't like the idea of selling some of their belongings just to buy Bitcoin, but take note that there are some who risked it all, sold their properties, then bought Bitcoin, and their money doubled or even tripled already. Like I said, it's all about risk. Smiley As for OP, there's nothing wrong with your opinion. It's just that there are some people who want to risk it all because... because they are afraid to lose their potential profits.
628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should trading be for the rich? on: November 30, 2023, 06:32:41 AM
~
Should trading be exclusive to financially comfortable and rich because of how risky it is?
Trading is for everyone, but not everyone can trade.
What I mean is that, not all have the capabilities to trade especially when it comes to financial things because we know that newbies tend to lose money on their first trades because they lack experience.

Should training be for the rich only? A little bit of yes, and no. Rich people can just trade, lose their money, and trade again while poor ones will lose their money especially when they're newbies, and there's a chance that they don't have money anymore. I don't know if there are some traders who started with a small amount of capital and turned out to be successful traders.

Always take note that trading in a demo account isn't the same as trading with a real account because your emotions will be different when doing either one of them. Trading is for everyone whether you're rich or poor, but sometimes, money can be a big factor whether you will become a successful trader one or not.
629  Other / Archival / Re: Wearing Bitcoin Clothing in Public on: November 30, 2023, 04:15:29 AM
It makes you feel cool, but it makes you more vulnerable to criminals.
For me, safety is more important than showing to the public that you're involved with cryptocurrencies.

As adoption increases, so do scams, and criminals that can extort you, and force you to give your Bitcoin to them. Take note that it's easy now to learn how to send, and receive Bitcoin since there's something called "Youtube" that can help them. I've thinking of doing that in the past as well, but it's good that I didn't do it because of the fact that I was in the city at that time, and criminals were just lurking around, waiting for a victim.

It's easy to make Bitcoin clothing, but you will risk your safety if you do it. You'll be more susceptible to a "5$ wrench attack". Well, there are some who are still doing it, and there's nothing wrong with it I guess as long as they feel safe while doing it.
630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 30, 2023, 02:38:28 AM
It looks like Celtics and Sixers started great in first 10 matches. Timberwolves is leading the West but they don't get much appreciation in the poll.
Nobody expected them to be at the top spot. It's the same with Thunder. TBH, I didn't expect the Thunder to be at the top spot right now. I expected them to be at least at the 5th-8th spot at the start of the season, but they are playing well currently led by SGA and Chet.

As for the Timberwolves, this is the team I didn't expect to be at the top. I mean my expectations for them are low, but they're now at the top already. It seems like Gobert is back at it's "Defensive player of the year" self-already, and KAT is starting to make some improvements already. They also have good role players in Reid, and McDaniels, and a good PG in Conley. I just hope that they maintain this top spot, or if not then at least be at the top 4.

What's the hot discussion right now? Do you have any suggestion for our new poll? Let me know so I'll change it.

First team to get 20 wins maybe?
Coach of the Year? MVP? Scoring champion for the regular season?
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zugacoin vs bitcoin. on: November 28, 2023, 10:55:15 PM
So what do you guys think was the cause of suden dip of zugacoin?
The only Zuga that I know is that famous South Korean songwriter... Oh, wait it's Suga, and not Zuga my apologies.
Anyway, a shitcoin will always be a shitcoin.

A high price doesn't mean you can compare it with Bitcoin already. I still remember years ago when a project called Yearn Finance (YFI) was being compared with Bitcoin because it had a higher price than it. Now look at the project. Why the sudden dip you said? It's because it's a shitcoin. It's a pump-and-dump project that's why its price right now is below a dollar already from its ATH of 6 digits like you said.
632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2023, 05:29:54 AM
Sixers won against the OKC, and Joel just bully himself against the young Chet in the paint in the very first possession of the game and it shows that they are going to capitalized on it and that's what they did. But the kid can't be deny, he is really playing very good basketball and so him and Wemby are going to fight it hard for the ROY award.
Currently I consider Chet Holmgren as the Rookie of the Year. The hype around Wemby is just that hype. Chet is consistently performing well and significantly contributing to the Thunder. When comparing the performance of their respective teams the Thunder with Chet Holmgrem is outperforming Wembenyama's team. The stats speak for themselves; at this moment Chet Holmgren is far different to Wembenyama.

I don't know why they put Chet Holmgren as a rookie this year because he is part of the 2022-2023 draft pick with Paolo Banchero and he won that award last year. Maybe they are giving him a chance because he didn't play last year at all.
Ben Simmons and Blake Griffin are examples of players who were drafted but didn't play the same year because of an injury. Later they got the Rookie of the Year award.
It's the same with Holmgren since he didn't play for the regular season last year when he got drafted, so basically, he's still eligible to compete for that Rookie of the Year since this season is what they considered his rookie season.

As for Wemby and Chet, I guess Coach Pop doesn't care about the Rookie award, but he cares about the future of the team. He knows that he will not win the title this season thus, they are doing everything to get a high draft pick for next year. I just watched it on Youtube, and it seems like it is what is happening right now. He's constantly using Sochan as their starting Point Guard even though he wasn't built for that position. Experimenting, and at the same time, trying to be at the lowest point possible to get a higher draft pick. Coach Pop knows that Wembanyama alone can't win a title, and he needs another young, and talented player that will support him. I guess Wembanyama knows this as well, and he don't even care about the ROY award, but he cares about the future of the team.

I just saw an interesting fact. Tonight LeBron James is going to pass Kareem for the most career minutes played in NBA history. A pretty huge accomplishment.
I will wait for the news saying that "Lebron James passed the 40,000 points. The first one in NBA history." Well, a pretty good achievement for him, and it's an achievement that probably no one can break.

No televised games today but we do have a couple interesting ones. The two worst teams in the league are facing off to see who the absolute worst team in the league is. The Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards are both 2-14… I think Detroit likely has an edge with this matchup though because Jordan Poole has been playing so streaky…
You're wrong. The Wizards won. Tongue
The battle of 2 teams who currently have the longest losing streak (before the game). I don't know, but it's kind of funny to see 2 teams who have the longest losing streak playing with each other. I mean they're trying to end their losing streak. Cheesy

Anyway, Wizards won behind Kuzma's 32-point almost triple-double performance. I feel bad for the Pistons right now because they've been at the bottom spot for many years already, and even though they changed their coach already, they can't still find a way to be a better team. Now they're at the bottom spot again, and currently on a 14-game losing streak. I will not be surprised if they will end up winning less than 10 this season just because of how they're playing right now. Remembering the 2012 Charlotte Bobcats in the past where they only won 7 games. Cheesy They're on the road to break that record.
633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins Also faces Congestion? on: November 28, 2023, 03:50:31 AM
~
Now a question arises again in the mist of the bitcoin network congestion. Since Altcoins are depending on bitcoin on any necessary upward movement, does it mean that altcoins network also congesting to produce high transaction fees? This has been in my mind for sometimes so I decided  to ask it today. Have you heard of it because I have not heard of it. Or the congestion is for all the cryptocurrencies?
There will be times when altcoins will face congestion, but the reason will not be Bitcoin having congestion.
It will be hype that's the reason why altcoins will face congestion.

I still remember the time when BSC had problems with transactions - I mean not a problem, but a sudden increase in transaction fees, and I think the reason for that was the new projects that were being created under the BSC network. Another one is when NFTs are hyped under the Ethereum Blockchain. The transaction fees of Ethereum at that time were way higher than that of Bitcoin today, and it also came to a point where people were paying more on the fees than the price of the NFT itself because they didn't want to get left behind.

To answer your question, yes altcoins faces congestion as well, but not because of Bitcoin, but because of hype around them.
634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do I find a Balance Here? on: November 28, 2023, 02:45:15 AM
~
How do I find a balance between supporting this business that just started accepting Bitcoin and adhering to my investment strategy of long-term hodling?
Both of your options contradict each other.
One is you want to use Bitcoin to support the merchants/business while the other is you want to hold it.

I don't know but are these businesses just start-ups? I mean you don't want to use Bitcoin to make a transaction with them because of the high gas fees right? If you want to support them, you can support them in a different way. Right now, tell them to accept established altcoins to prevent paying high gas fees for Bitcoin. I know that feeling that you want to contribute by using Bitcoin to pay for things, but as of this moment, it's almost impossible for that to happen especially since you are just a retailer.

Do what works for your strategy. You can do both if you want. Holding 50% of your total Bitcoin while using the other 50% to support these businesses. I guess this is the "balance" that you need.

How many of These price tragets are realistically possible in 2025 ?
~
Even though I'm optimistic towards Bitcoin, and some of the altcoins, I always keep my expectations very low so I will not make some unnecessary decisions that might affect me in the long run.

TBH, Bitcoin is the only coin that might reach that price in the upcoming bull run. I mean those other ones are kind of impossible to get reached especially when you look at their current price right now. I know that altcoins tend to move way higher, and can go as high as 5x or even 10x, but I don't see other coins other than Bitcoin that will reach that price target.

I might be wrong though, and I would be happy to see all of these tokens reaching that price target in 2025, especially with Bitcoin, and Cardano since I'm holding both of them Cheesy.
636  Economy / Speculation / Re: High transaction fees affects those who DCA on: November 27, 2023, 10:33:00 PM
If you are doing it on a weekly basis, do it less often like once every 2 weeks, or if possible once a month. It's also hard for me to do DCA because of these insanely high gas fees, so my solution to this is to just hold other altcoins (staking coins in particular) so that I can still gain some tokens while holding it in preparation for the bull run. It doesn't mean that I'm not holding Bitcoin though, but if the transaction fees go back to normal, I will continue to accumulate Bitcoin again. It's my strategy, and I don't recommend it especially if you only want to hold Bitcoin.

~
I feel like I may use the money kept for DCA for other expenses.
Well, as long as those "expenses" that you're saying are way more important than investing it into Bitcoin then I guess there's no problem. After all, it's your money.
Patience. One word that's very hard to apply when it comes to investing. Being patient is very hard because people nowadays don't want to wait for a long time to gain money. If you don't want to pay those high gas fees, it's wait for the fees to go back to normal, or follow what your friend said.
637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What one change to Bitcoin can make it's adoption faster? on: November 27, 2023, 09:58:42 AM
Nothing is perfect and Bitcoin is no exception. Let us discuss in this thread that one change which can increase the adoption of Bitcoin further at a rapid rate.
I don't know if this will happen because not all are supportive of Bitcoin, but the Government might be one of the reasons for Bitcoin to get adopted quickly.

I know this isn't realistic because there are some countries that are already anti-Bitcoin and prohibit their countrymen from using Bitcoin, but if only all of the governments would allow their people to use it, and at the same time help at least to promote it then I believe it might be a game-changer. The government changing perception towards Bitcoin might change its adoption of it and can make it quicker.

Overall, I guess there's no need to change. I mean there are many Bitcoin supporters who are constantly promoting Bitcoin in different social media platforms and with many people using social media, I believe that the adoption is much faster than what it was years ago. The only problem is how they look at Bitcoin. There's nothing wrong with the pace of adoption, but how people see Bitcoin is the problem because I believe many people don't want to buy or at least invest into it because they see it as either a scam or a faster way to lose their money because of its volatility. Adoption isn't the problem, its how we teach the new ones.

Re: What is your solution to pay less Fee ?
- Use ViaBTC for transaction accelerator.
- Use other coins.
- Don't make any transactions at all.
- Wait for the Ordinals hype to subside.

The 2nd & 3rd ones are somewhat correlated because if you don't want to make any transactions using Bitcoin, you will convert it into altcoin and then make a transaction using that one. I tried using ViaBTC once already, and it's helpful because they accelerated my transaction when the current fee was twice as high as the one that I put in which is obviously my fault. Lastly, Ordinals is the reason why the transaction right now is at its peak (or at least it's high). Just like what happened with NFTs, and ICOs, this hype will subside thus, transaction fees will go lower as well.

Like you, I also consider him my Rookie of the Year, and I've already put a bet on him winning this year.
I guess the teammates around both of them have a huge impact on the voting.

Currently, the Thunder has better players compared to the Spurs. They already have an all-star in SGA, and good role players like Giddy, Dort, 2 Williams, and more. As for the Spurs, have young players, but not as good as the Thunder. Maybe some will consider it as well, but if you will just base it on the stats of both players, Chet is better on some stats, but his efficiency is way better than that of Wembanyama. Currently, he's averaging at least 50% from FG, 40% from the three-point area, and 90% from the free throw line. He's on his way to get his first 50-40-90 record. The one that I remember who got this type of achievement at the end of the regular season is Steph Curry. Of course, it's too early, and this might change as well, but his efficiency might lead him to win the title.

I just don't like what Coach Pop is doing right now. He's experimenting currently and putting Jeremy Sochan as their point guard where in fact, he hasn't played in that position ever since. I mean they have better PGs like Tre Jones, but I don't know why Coach Pop is doing this. Maybe for the future of the team?
