641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 14, 2023, 07:58:05 AM
The Athletic is reporting that the Philadelphia 76ers are refusing to trade James Harden and requesting him to appear in training camp. However, James Harden has said he has no plans to play for the 76ers this year and won’t be attending training camp. We’ve got ourselves a bit of a stand-off situation to start the 2024 season.
I don't get it. Are we witnessing the same thing that happened with Ben Simmons? I mean, does this prove that something is wrong in the 76ers' management than the players? Because this ain't the first anymore that a player refused to play for them.

We'll have to wait and see, my friend, but it's quite possible we might witness a situation similar to what's happening now, and it could potentially impact James Harden's career, just like Simmons is experiencing. The 76ers seem to be facing a problem here. While I don't have all the contract details, it seems like they might be wasting money and sacrificing their chances of making the playoffs if they opt not to trade James Harden and would choose to play undermanned. In my opinion, this doesn't seem to be a strategic move; it appears to be an inefficient way of handling the situation.
642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Price in Respect of News on: August 14, 2023, 02:50:13 AM
Initially, when I started my journey as a trader I was not taking news events as seriously as the way I see them today because I'm a full-time Technical Analyst until the last year 2022 when I saw the massive impact that news has on moving prices, News events such as the FOMC meeting, and interest rate data reports, maybe some negative or positive news in the crypto space like we witnessed last year with Luna crash and FTX collapse.
That is how it changes the market trend and it influences a lot which a trader must have to look at and consider when to buy and when to sell.
This will imply how important to take the news as a part of a Technical Analysis. And that is why we can't compare the past, whatever happens before we can't expect it to happen today and in the coming years because the market sentiment changes from time to time and also the behavior of investors.
Indeed, the Luna scam issue has a huge negative impact on the market, and definitely, we can still witness the same scenario someday.
643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you have any methods to do it? on: August 14, 2023, 01:34:54 AM

Is that even possible to earn 50$-100$ every day with spot trading? If yes then what methods you are using and how do you manage your risk?
That seems possible and the only thing you can do is to;
 - enough capital ( $1,000 or more)
 - effective strategy
 - knowledge and skills ( TA is part of it)

Though you are not new in the crypto market, however, never underestimate trading. What I could suggest to you OP is to focus first on learning trading stuff and start with a little amount until such time that you can say yourselves that you are totally ready for this thing.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin (DOGE) on: August 13, 2023, 09:58:09 PM
Lots of people made life changing money in DOGE & following memecoins like SHIB, PEPE etc but they are the minority. Most people buying these coins will be doing so because they saw the FOMO & craze on Twitter or in forums or something. They buy at the top & end up selling at a loss.

Most of these memecoins have ridiculous circulating supply, a bunch of people get premined stacks. They are mostly a waste of time with no future use in the real world.
Well, I'm going to agree with that and they have earned a lot of money during the hype but certainly, this is not forever, it was just temporary. But without this hype thing, I don't think people will become crazy about these meme projects because the truth is that these projects don't have potential market value and use-case.

I was worried about those people who are not able to sell them while on hype, I know there are some because it was hard to think that they will pump again. In fact, without Elon Musk it was impossible for Dogecoin to soar high, how much more with these Shiba and Pepe coins?
645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Be patient and you will be there soon. on: August 13, 2023, 01:26:58 PM
The market usually goes against psychology and instincts, which can be called a kind of casino. Remember how many times it was like this when you bought a coin and then the price started to fall. Then you sold at a loss and the price started to rise. So you cannot rely on instincts here. The other thing is when you actually bought at the top when there was hype, in that case it is wise to sell to buy cheaper. But still patience is really the best strategy.
I was not certain if this really happened, it might but not always. Because if you are really true investor, you don't make a decision that makes you lose like selling at a low price while buying it high. In crypto investment or in any form of investment, those can wait only to be rewarded but those who are patient will suffer the consequences. It is about accepting that not all investors are true to their goal, some eventually change as the market changes as well and so only those who can afford to wait will win the prize.
646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Emmanuel Navarette - Aug 12 on: August 13, 2023, 12:26:45 PM
Many of us here were mistaken in our predictions. Valdez appeared significantly smaller against Navarette, and his movement seemed predictable. Navarette managed to evade Valdez's powerful shots and counter with heavy punches. During the announcement of the winner, Navarette's face remained relatively fresh, whereas Valdez's face bore visible damage. Therefore, the judges decision appears to be accurate; Valdez wasn't yet prepared for this division.
647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Free NFTs real or fake? on: August 13, 2023, 10:34:30 AM
If you are not buying any of this NFT or joining an airdrop, I conclude that it was a scam. You can never sell them but probably it directs you to another site in order to claim the said token. If we are too careless and if we thought it was money already, not a surprise that we get scammed.

Ignoring is the best thing to do and besides, NFTs are useless, nobody is buying them now. So how it makes sense to someone to have them as only stuck in our wallet? Indeed, we have to be more cautious and must have to think and analyze the situation before making a decision.
648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: think before investing on: August 12, 2023, 09:47:38 PM
Futures trading is really risky, especially when using high leverage. With the use of high leverage, although there are attractive profits, there is also the risk of losing money quickly. Even with attractive returns, it can also lead to rapid loss of money if not managed well.

Whereas Spot Trading and holding the coin can be a safer way to face market volatility. Holding Bitcoin can be profitable in the long run, but it takes careful planning and doesn't let yourself get too greedy.
When it comes to trading, we are all talking about risk and every crypto enthusiast understands this atleast those that have given it a try. Trading is not something you can rely on especially when you have failed to gather proper knowledge about it, it would be very difficult and a little frustrating too because like you said one can lose a lot when trading. While an investment is not all safe too but that's if only you don't know what you are doing and many people fail to understand the whole logic thats behind a Bitcoin investment which can lead them to succeed.

and if you venture in futures without prior knowledge, this is one of the easiest to liquidate your funds. so if you are just a beginner, better go for spot trading and see where will it brings you. this is why everyone should do their homework before jumping on this market. it may give you good profits but that is if you already know the ropes.
Many people got to lose their money due to the wrong decision. Some got greedy and fall into futures trading thinking that it was okay and would give them huge benefits over spot trading. Yes, Everyone should know what is trading all about and knows how to choose the best place to stay. And most of all, we also have to consider our capabilities as trading is too risky. The moment that we know how far is our knowledge with trading, we also know what we are capable of.
649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you tell me the best indicator for long term investment? on: August 12, 2023, 12:11:46 PM
As the title says, I hope some of you can share your experience about the best indicators for your long term investment.
So far I've only invested on a cyclical basis, but I'd love to get your experience into consideration for my future investment plans.

Fausto Arta
The indicator I use is the market situation itself, we have to go along with it. Buy crypto during the bear season and hold...that is the only way I use when it comes to holding long-term. We have to keep in mind that even without indicators but through our market analysis, we already know when it is the perfect time to buy and what coins should we have to invest in.
I'll tell you that is not all about using the best indicator but is all about choosing the right investment for us. If we know how to do it, definitely, it was not hard for us to make a fortune in crypto.

650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Emmanuel Navarette - Aug 12 on: August 12, 2023, 11:26:56 AM
..but this is going to be all out war and we might see a knockout win here. Good luck to everyone.

This is sure an all out war as both boxers are aggressive and has a high KO rate. Valdez who losses in his previous fight might change his style a bit but I'm still expecting to see his aggressiveness in the fight.

Lots of markets available at this site.

Good luck fellow gamblers, choose wisely and always take risk on higher odds to have more fun.  Smiley
651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 12, 2023, 09:30:56 AM
We didn’t get to see LeBron and Durant matchup in the playoffs last year unfortunately but the future looks good. For the first time in 5 years we get to see Kevin Durant and LeBron James face off as the Phoenix home opener is scheduled to be against the Lakers. I wonder how much tickets for that game are going to be…

These two are going to attract a lot of fans. Although LeBron is already old, he can still play and compete well against the best in the NBA. A matchup between Durant and LeBron, especially if it happens in the WCF, would be exciting. That would mean one of them needs to beat the defending champion, which is the Denver Nuggets.

Durant is 34 years old and already prone to injury. However, if he takes good care of his body in the coming season, the Suns might have a significant chance to reach the Finals, especially considering they have other superstars on the team.
652  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins that you trust most on: August 11, 2023, 09:51:15 PM
Well, it is on our end to decide which coin we think was good to invest in or not. I assumed that those in your list are those coins that you have trusted most but of course, other people may think it was not the best option, and I am one of them. For me, I don't want a lot of altcoins to invest in, what is important for me is the potentiality of the project, not the numbers. Well, ETH and BNB are enough for me and these two coins I trusted most. If I have the money, instead of finding new gems, I'd rather be purchasing more ETH and BNB.
653  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the market still profitable for new projects? on: August 11, 2023, 09:31:24 PM
Given the crowding of the market with hundreds of new projects and the emergence of new services or companies every day, I think that the number of investors or users of these services does not correspond to this large increase.

So my question is: is this market still profitable for new projects?
They are still profitable that is why they are doing this but if you talk about useless projects, then the answer is NO.
However, the number of investors is growing as well which means that it increases the demand. Developers had made new projects which they think it was acceptable and needed by the community because there is no other reason for why doing this and spending money if it never works and has ROI. They have done with the survey before creating new project I believe, if may not be profitable today but be possible in the coming days.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there real sports bet groups on: August 11, 2023, 04:02:31 PM
~snip~
It's because you have to pay premium to those analysis as they might be in the sports business for years and that there prediction is after sought. Nevertheless, if we have followed our favorite sports then at some time we have the analytical skills as well. To look at the teams and the numbers and against their opponent and see what chances do they have.

And with that, I don't think we should pay premium to bet groups. They could be some of them that are more knowledgable in some sports. But still you can't discount the fact that there could be wrong most of the times.
So actually, we don't have to pay any fees to get the analysis because we can do it ourselves without having to depend on other people. And that would be better because we can use the money that should be used to pay as capital to place bets. And by learning the various things that are needed, we can also improve our analytical skills to analyze each game better.

We should learn from our mistakes to get more information and improve our analytical skills. This is what people who rely solely on the analysis of paid groups should realize so that they want to start learning on their own.
That's supposed to be the path that we gamblers should follow. However, there are gamblers who don't want to learn from their mistakes to improve; they seek shortcuts to success, looking for tipsters that promise consistent winning bets. The question is, is it realistic? The answer is no. If these tipsters could provide consistent wins, they wouldn't have risk themselves. The reason they want us to subscribe is to transfer the risk to us. If they were truly skilled enough, they would keep their analyses to themselves and potentially bankrupt casinos.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: benefits of having mature accounts at 3 casinos (personal experience) on: August 11, 2023, 03:24:01 PM
Someone who has a limited budget for gambling should have a single account and wager whatever budget they have allocated for gambling in that account so that they can reach VIP level on their account and get some perks every week or month, it will be useless to have more accounts and wager little by little on all of them.

Someone who has limited budget should not even think about VIP level, better to play without thinking about VIP perks as it will lead into something bad.
Someone with limited budget may play in some different casinos but should not set a goal to get high VIP level and its perks.
I have said it many times that it is always better to focus on money management and controlling our gambling habits than focus on reaching VIP level.
All in all, never gamble to get VIP perks because basically the perks is not worth to hunt if we look at the possible risks.

Yes, first people goal is to gain a lot of money from gambling and in order to achieve this, they gamble too much without any plan and lose money.
Now, if the gamblers (the ones with low budget) tries to get the VIP status, that will add an extra pressure on them and they may lose unnecessary more money in achieving this status quickly.

I am not against the VVIP status for the gamblers, but if it comes naturally, then its good. Betting and gambling with more money in order to achieve those status is not right approach.
Gambling responsibly is the right approach, as going 'too far' will never yield profit. We understand that gambling carries risks, and it's crucial for us to manage those risks. If we lack the necessary discipline, we'll eventually encounter disaster. Yes, achieving VIP status is enticing, but it's essential to be realistic and evaluate if we truly belong at that level. If we can't afford it and yet we still pursue, then it's no longer a healthy gambling activity.
656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am confused !!!! on: August 11, 2023, 10:54:26 AM
And it happens to those who got here because of the influence of these social media influencers. There is misinformation that they brought into the minds of their followers and so they expect that buying Bitcoin today will earn a profit tomorrow. That is why we can see many investors had suffered losses and quit crypto as they really don't understand the situation. And much more if someone never says that investing in Bitcoin is not risky, that certainly builds their confidence and invest immediately without knowing what will happen after.
These things tend to happen to those who are completely unfamiliar with Bitcoin. Because as they direct the main point is fast profit in Bitcoin investment they do but it will not happen so fast and it takes time to get profit. Yes, influencers do provide an overview of the benefits they get, but behind the scenes they try to cover up their failures.

But if someone has the patience level in investing in Bitcoin they certainly won't lose out if they buy now and hold onto it until next year. It's just that volatility is a distraction for those who are impatient in the investments they are making. So things like this are not the Influencer's fault because they tell the truth but someone who hears it is still newbie to Bitcoin investment.
That is the problem because these influencers never tell their losses but rather just show all the positive results. This is why people don't think that investing in Bitcoin is risky but rather think it was easy and there is sure profit. Yet, they only just find out after and when they suffer losses.
We can't fully blame these influencers because it was our choice to invest but something to note is that because of their influence, many people got fooled and make decisions wrongly.
657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 10, 2023, 11:01:45 AM
^^ Lol, I thought it is Jake Paul, but his younger who is going to fight. And same as what his brothers is doing, fighting another MMA artist in a stand up fight in boxing, so that they will have the advantage and most likely will win.

It's interesting that DAZN is carrying this fight, they will have to ride on the Paul brothers hype train in this exhibitions because this is business and there are a lot of money that is going to be made here.

Jake Paul cannot fight all the time, even though he holds a better record than his brother. However, both have already gained popularity, making it a lucrative opportunity for promoters, given that fans would unquestionably come to watch their fights. Even if they only fight once a year, they could still earn millions of dollars. This is in contrast to many other professional boxers who begin their careers from the ground up and only become popular after proving themselves by winning championships. The Paul brothers don't require that trajectory; their exhibition fights alone generate a substantial income for them.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 10, 2023, 09:42:52 AM
Have you guys read the article from Spin.Ph which said that the PBA is planning to expand and per report they could go as high as 16 teams, but what about those franchise that were rumored that were up for sale hehe. On the other hand this news is music to the ears to those players who were displaced every year because of rookie drafting and good news also for those kids that wanting to be part of the PBA someday.

Or maybe the PBA have felt the effect of MPBL unto them that is why this plan was conceived.

This is a positive step; they really need to change the system within because it's no longer viable for the fans. If they want to retain their fanbase, a significant improvement is necessary, and this could be it. One additional point I would like to add is the hope that they will not permit a single company to own more than one team. This way, we can ensure that games are played fairly, eliminating any instances of 'bigayan,' as they say.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Healthy mindset to save earnings from gambling on: August 07, 2023, 01:29:09 PM
When it comes to gambling I have my own weaknesses and I figured them out because I don't want to make costly mistakes, I fooled myself that I couldn't make any big amount of money from gambling unlike investing money in assets, so I understand that gambling is the highest risk of them all, so I have managed to beat the taste of possible higher hits from gambling so I only try my luck with small money every time, never have I used more than my target for gambling.

You don't need to force yourselves to embrace gambling if you are afraid to lose money while enjoying it.
I was into gambling not just by thinking that is a sort of entertainmentt but also because it gives me a chance to win if got so lucky. But if we consider gambling as another source of income, it is just like we are fooling ourselves.

@OP, I couldn't think about a healthy mindset with gambling because I'd never see it. Whether you may agree me or not, gambling don't give you earnings but instead, losses. However, the most important is you make yourself enjoyed of what you are doing.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reckless gambling starts after a win round. on: August 07, 2023, 12:20:36 PM
If you are onto gambling for the first time it's not possible to get addicted to gambling because you haven't tasted what winning feels like, you will be consumed by doubts and uncertainty.

Early winning especially for new gamblers will give them the wrong idea thinking that this is the right place to stay as they thought that gambling would make them rich. They'll never know exactly what awaits them in the next couple of these of gambling. Many speculations arise and base on my experience, especially these online games, there is a sort of manipulations as we usually win on the very first day and this is a trick to help you encourage to gamble and spend more. And after a short happiness and winning, worse things happen and that is an absolute lose.
