Dana is still into combat sports, just not into the ones we used to associate him with. You know Dana, the mixed world in MMA doesn't mean men get put in fights with women Wink
What do you think? Should he resign?

Dana White was filmed slapping his wife in the face during a New Year's Eve row
He has apologized, but comments from 2014 have now come back to haunt him
He said you could 'never bounce back from putting your hands on a woman'

To be fair, his wife started the physical altercation and he returned that back and on top of that both were drunk. Everyone can talk a big talk if they are not in the situation and Dana White never expected to be in that situation when he was making these big statements and now he is under fire but he will sort the situation and his wife already made a statement favoring him.

I'd like to see Jake Paul fight a couple of guys with a good wrestling background first before these big money events.  Wrestling is usually a problem when fighters with a primary striking base enter MMA.
Jake Paul has an amateur wrestling background and then he made his transition to boxing, so he has the basics regarding take down defense unlike pure strikers who added wrestling at a later part of their career.

Draw tests due to bad light are more of an ICC problem because of their lack of flexibility in the rules.
PCB getting a much longer lunch break is a flexible move by the ICC  Cheesy. The umpires asked New Zealand not to bowl their fast bowlers when the light started to dip and either team could have won when the umpires called off the match after discussing with the players.

~
You have made a good choice by placing your bets on draw no bet on New Zealand. Pakistan was close to victory, but New Zealand was close to the victory as well. Only two overs were left for the end of the day 5, but umpires had stopped the game for the low light issue. The match has ended dramatically. Pakistan has narrowly escaped the defeat in this test match. I have lost my bet by placing it on New Zealand win.
The odds were moving in huge numbers during the final sessions, there was a time when the odds for Pakistan to win were above 85 and when Pakistan started to near the target, the odds came down drastically to 3.5 and anyone placing those bets and cashing out would have made a good amount of money.

3 overs left in the match before they called it a match and one wicket for New Zealand to win and 15 runs for Pakistan to win the match, final session was interesting and was surprised that Pakistan was able to survive in this horrible pitch.

643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coin caused Solana price to rise by 40% in a week on: January 06, 2023, 06:56:17 PM
Recently a meme coin was launched on Solana network which got a lot of hype. As a result, Solana prices are about 40% up in last one week. Do you think this is good thing or bad thing for solana ? Just a meme coin causing this boost instead of some solid news like good partnerships or adoption in some company.
BONK is making some waves in this market and the developers of the coin are making news worthy things daily and today they burned 5
5 trillions of coins (still 5% of the total coins  Grin)so that the hype will be maintained for a while. Getting new projects that might have a huge following is always good for Solana but if their network issues continue to haunt them then developers will think twice while building a project on them.
644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One of the Largest Bitcoin miners are shutting down Celcius Mining Machines on: January 06, 2023, 02:16:01 PM
Read up the news and I want to ask, what is the implications of their actions to the entire crypto space.
Will the shutting impact crypto negatively or has no direct impact whatever.

I would like to know, and will be thankful if anyone cares to shed more light.
There will be adjustment to the mining difficulty and will be adjusted most probably by 16th and we have a hash rate of  34 T which means there wont be any implications that would affect the market or BTCitcoin itself. The rest of the reason for shutting down the mining machines is explained in the article and DaveF explained them above as well.

The poster you are replying to referring Shahid Afridi's comments who is part of PCB now and he really said that we'll not consider any player who has below 135 SR in T-20.

Babar and Rizwan both didn't even touch 130 SR after playing more than 80 + matches.
I was also referring to the memes after Afridi's comment about players having a strike rate of 135 to be in the T20 team and Babar and Rizwan are their consistent players and if they had better players to fill their spot they would be in the team by now. Babar and Rizwan are having a strike rate below 130 even in domestic T20 but their average is above 40.
646  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Indians moved 0ver $3.8B to foreign exchanges because of new crypto tax rules on: January 05, 2023, 07:38:45 PM
I  have seen even my friends doing this. But I know that government will come up with new measures to find out all the details on foreign exchanges also. For the peace of mind, it is important to comply with tax rules of your country whether you deal in crypto or not.
I am not sure how the metric is taken, may be they have taken the trading volume of exchanges in India to the present volume and reached a conclusion that everyone who traded in these exchanges moved to foreign exchanges, but the overall trading volume in all the exchanges are low after the market went down. Even though the tax rules are not favorable it is better to comply with the rules rather than getting into trouble.

Pitch will be difficult for batting during the first session of tomorrow. I think Pakistan players will try to play slowly in the first session to save their wickets. The chance is quite low for them to survive in the match. The betting odds for Pakistan win is above 8× now. I don't see the possibilities of draw in this match. New Zealand is pretty much ahead to win it.
The pitch will be really difficult to bat and Pakistan already lost 2 wickets without even scoring any runs and it will be a really difficult period for the batsman if they are planning to defend and slow down the match and Babar Azam needs to play a longer innings. I already placed a bet on draw no bet on New Zealand winning the match and will see how this one turns out Grin.

There is no chance for India to win this match. Either they have played so badly or Sri Lanka have bowled so well that India are completely out of the match. Those who could have changed the match did not survive. As a result, India will have to accept a certain defeat. Moreover, their style of play seems to have given up hope of winning the match. Now a respectable run rate is required. However, there is no excitement in such one-sided matches, especially the helpless defeat of a team like India, many will not be able to accept.
When India lost the 5th wicket for 57 runs the game was done and dusted but Axar Patel and Suryakumar Yadav played some incredible shorts and took team to the final overs and was surprised with the way Shivam Mavi was striking the ball.

Indian bowlers bowled too many no balls especially Arshdeep Singh who gave away 5 no balls and Sri Lanka was able to score runs with the free hit and that eased the pressure and gave them the opportunity to take the score to 206 runs.

@pakhittheboss honestly I felt that team India got lucky, and they deserved to lose this match because they put up a really small total on such a small ground. Furthermore while Mavi did bowl well, but I’m concerned because of his pace he can be beaten easily however only time will tell if team India was right to promote him in the T20 format.
Important aspect is that the Indian bowlers especially the fast bowlers were able to defend the total and Axar Patel bowled the last over and was able to defend the total. The crucial aspect is that the fast bowlers Shivam Mavi and Umran Malik were able to break partnerships whenever it looked promising. Shivam Mavi is having experience playing in the IPL and hopefully we will see Kamlesh Nagarkoti in the team as well in the future.

The ex-Pakistan skipper left Hunkar and said that he will not be considered in the national team for the T20 format unless he has a strike rate of 135 in domestic cricket. Pakistani cricket fans jokingly suggested the retirement of Pakistan's T20 captain and opener Babar and his opening partner wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan. Because Babar and Rizwan are alleged to have played the T20 format like a Test.
Jokes aside Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are giving them consistent performance and whenever either of them fail to perform, Pakistan always struggle to put a good total on the board and besides them they need some big hitters who could clear the boundary easily and that would tally the situation. In the past Pakistan had some great clean strikers and hopefully they will find a few in the PSL.

When Pakistan had 5 wickets, I was almost certain that they would easily reach the target. I was shocked when I saw their score after the scheduled time was over. In the last segment, a few players have just arrived and returned. After Agha Salman no one else could score well. Pakistan has been able to collect 8 runs in by lost 3 wickets. Which is disappointing for Pakistan. That is why many people say that Pakistan is an unpredictable team. Whatever, Saud Shakeel a young talented cricketer has proved himself by today's match. He is still on the pitch.
The Pakistan middle order played really well and Sarfaraz Ahmed scored his third consecutive half century but could not capitalize that and go on and make a huge hundred and he was stumped but had a steady partnership with Saud Shakeel who is still in the crease with an unbeaten century rescued the team and now they are just trailing by 42 runs and with the way the match is going it is going to be another draw.
653  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kevin O'leary vs CZ on: January 01, 2023, 06:53:32 PM
Kevin is known for having some bad investments despite he's a good talker and if he's attacking CZ and defending FTX then there's really the loyalty part of him probably paid to talk and protect FTX.
FTX and SBF hired Kevin O'Leary by paying him $1.5 million to be their brand ambassador and that is what he is doing day in and day out defending SBF and his actions and putting the blame entirely on CZ for the failure.

Well, CZ is also at his fault but he has the right to protect himself too and point out who he thinks is telling lies, so both of them will just have to say whatever they feel. At the end of this, this drama is clout chasing and gathering attention for them, still good exposure for both as usual.
The reason CZ needs to defend his position is solely because Kevin O'leary is making a strange claim that the reason for the FTX failure is CZ and not SBF. It is a fact that SBF contacted CZ to bail out FTX but when they checked their audit reports which they obtained CZ knew that he is in a bigger hole if he tries to bail them and hence he backed out and the people who took money from SBF are defending him and trying to blame others for the scam that took place.

Holy mother of everything sweet, that is 65 BILLION? I mean not million, it's BILLION with a b? That means there was 65 billion bets in a single year here? I remember the times when we had a few billion bets TOTAL here and celebrated that, like I remember the very first billionth bet and the rewards given out because of that here, now you guys are doing 65 billion in a single year? That means you guys get more than one billion bet per week, and that's just insane, I wouldn't think that any casino would have such a huge amount of betting in a single year ever.
The amount of advertising they spent is huge as well as they are sponsoring major teams including the UFC and you could see the Stake advertising in major sporting events and people like Drake are endorsing them and no wonder they are able to pull these numbers and during the World Cup finals between Argentina and France they pulled in a record bet as well.

If they Retain wickets than there is some possibility of winning this game otherwise this is a sure win for Brisbane Heat.
The match is in a really interesting situation and i thought Jordan Silk will take Sydney Sixers to victory but Michael Neser took an incredible catch in the boundary juggling multiple times even going over the boundary and it is an incredible catch that might change the match around.
Sydney Sixers need 18 runs in the final over and with 8 wickets down Brisbane Heat should win this match.

The main reason why Pakistani players are not getting the money that they probably should be is because of the economical situation of Pakistan, not being great. And Pakistan not hosting international cricket in their own country is also a reason for Pakistani players not being highly rated or paid. That is my assumption.
New Zealand is currently touring Pakistan but the stadiums are empty even in the final two days of the match which is not that great. I expected to see some crowd but that was not the case.

~
The biggest problem is that Pakistan cricket is not currently having a good relationship with the Indian cricket board and that also goes for the politics of both countries as well. And we all know that this has been a reason for the ICC not taking good care of Pakistan. And all the other cricket boards also respect that Indian cricket board as far as I think.
BCCI is the biggest cash cow and there is nothing that the ICC will be doing to upset them for now and the problem with India and Pakistan is political and hence they are not interfering.

Arsenal has been impressive this season and and it is beautiful to see their consistency has paid off with them going into the new year being top of the table. In the just-concluded game their opponents fought hard but the first goal was what made them unable to catch up but they played real hard.
Arsenal's defense had some holes in this match and it was terrible, they were guarding well till this match and during the final stages of the match Brighton scored a goal and my heart sunk as i placed a bet on under goals for Brighton and luckily it was an offside after taking VAR. During the final ten minutes of the match Brighton was attacking more and luck was on Arsenal's side.

Yes, i invest in bitcoins but it is not EXTRA money and I am afraid I can't afford to lose. Do you have that EXTRA money that you can afford to lose  Huh
There is no compulsion in investing in anything per se, if you have money you invest in other assets and that is how things work in the world. Even if i wanted to invest in any stock or any other asset, i do encounter the risk but since you are able to make a calculated risk you move forward with the investment and so is the case with BTCitcoin, only invest if you are willing to hold for a longer period of time.

The car that met with the accident is a Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe 43 AMG 4Matic. Advanced safety features ensured his survival. If it was some ordinary 4-wheeler, then I can't even imagine in which condition he would be right now. Rishabh was driving the car himself when it hit the divider. He suffered knee ligament tear, head cuts and abrasion injuries to his back.
Looks like a long road to recovery with the injuries he sustained, was he drunk and driving to get into the accident. Either way it was unfortunate and hopefully he will get well soon. Pant slept behind the wheels and if he was driving Maruti or Toyota injuries would have been fatal Grin, personal preference is volvo xc60 when it comes to safety.

Sydney Thunder changed their fortunes tonight after the record 15 runs all out fiasco and the bets were good even when they set a target of 228.

660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's behind Donald Trump's issuing NFTs ? on: December 30, 2022, 11:05:05 PM
Former U.S President Donald Trump has recently issued his own NFTs called Trump Digital Trading Cards. The purchasing perks are abundant such as a dinner with Trump, access to his community, golfing with Trump, Zoom calls etc. It looks as normal as other celebrity's NFT issuance but also seems more than that. Personally I think it is also political and deeply related to his political campaign. The majority of potential buyers must be his political supporters and fans. This NFT thing may be another digital means to connect him with his vast fanbase.
I have seen some celebrity NFT cards last year including major sports personality and some of them sold at really high valuations but they never had the perks mentioned as far as i remember like spending time with the celebrity or having dinner. Trump is a businessman and he knows how to give importance to the investors but i wonder how he will be finding time for all these Cheesy.
