661  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not for everyone! on: September 08, 2023, 10:00:01 PM
Trading is always overrated as one cannot simply get into trading and expect high profits afterwards. In fact, trading will definitely put us into more losses and failures if we rush into trading without knowing the prerequisites to trade. Therefore, if there are no knowledge and skills and there are no reliable experiences in trading, it’s better to never jump into trading because surely, it will only test our patience and persistence through consistent losing.
Believe me mate, I have been there and also tried it out and yes as you say it's really overrated and many people just go into this act thinking they can make easy cash which is quite the opposite and if I might compare it I think I will compare it to a gambling but the only difference about the two is that in trading if you are sound in years of training and study of the candle sticks and market flow then you might have a slight chance of making something out of the act of trading but there is still no guarantee to this.
Trading without knowledge will end up like gambling but yes, there are only two possible results either win or lose. But in the situation that we have no trading experience, knowledge, or skill, bigger chances that we will lose. That is why if we want to become successful, we also have to spend more time learning to trade and work hard for it or else, help ourselves to accept that trading is not for us as it is impossible it works if we don't. We must know that the only way to earn a profit from trading is to enhance our capabilities as well which I see many traders feel it just easy.
662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - when to sell? on: September 08, 2023, 09:39:46 PM
XRP is not performing so well, not really what we call a profitable project that we have to hold and wait for the time to pump because that seems impossible. In fact, even during the bull season, we can never see it pumping like others that is why I don't consider XRP as an investment. However, I don't say that this project is useless because many people are also using this one and converted their coins to XRP when moving their coins due to small fees and fast transactions.

I don't think he would choose Indonesia if he were offered the opportunity to lead the Gilas Pilipinas in international competitions. We know that the fans want him to coach the team. However, with the recent development that Tim Cone was named as the new head coach, I think this excites the fans, especially since the majority of basketball fans are Ginebra fans. They believe that Coach Tim Cone will help the national team improve.

But was he really interested in coaching Gilas? He coached the team before, and it seemed like he had some success but was replaced by Coach, if I remember correctly. Now that Coach Chot has failed, SBP would want to hire him again? I know this is a business, and when there's money involved, things could happen. But isn't it a bit insulting for Coach Tab that he was removed when the system was doing well for Gilas Pilipinas before?

We can read more about this, though

CHICAGO - While attempting to uncover the truth behind the firing of Gilas Pilipinas head coach Tab Baldwin yesterday,

There's no sense in discussing Coach Tab coaching Gilas Pilipinas, even if the rumored coaching job with the Indonesian National team is not true, because the SBP has already appointed Tim Cone to coach Gilas Pilipinas in the Asian Games. I think the job isn't as hard compared to Coach Chot's job, where he coached the team in the FIBA World Cup. In this Asian Games, we might likely dominate, and the Philippines winning the tournament would bring back the trust of the fans in our national team.

With Coach Tim, hopefully that trust will again rise back and hopefully also after gaining that trust SBP won't change the direction and let super coach to take over again, I know by the fact that super coach is always hinting the post, and I'm afraid to see that he will just in the shadow waiting to get the position back right after the management see that fans already getting the hypes.

I don't conclude it yet, even we have that edge in Asian league we can't say that we can dominate, but if possible it's better to bring that dominance in numbers to continue the chase for the Olympic slot.

If Coach Tim Cone were to struggle, I don't think he would be replaced right away. I believe he would be given enough time to create a system for the team, just like the chance they gave to Coach Chot, so we can see fairness here and no favoritism or whatsoever. Coach Tim has already proven himself in the PBA; he prioritizes defense all the time, and that's what is lacking with our national team, considering the shooting is already there.

There should be a balanced implementation; good offense and defense should come together.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 08, 2023, 06:58:27 AM

Well, if that's the case then there is a big chance that we can see the fight that we have been waiting for all these years. A fight where Casimero and Inoue will finally share the same ring and make the argument end once and for all. Although, after saying that, that also means that we're truly underestimating Tapales here because we're already assuming that by then Inoue is still the champion and that Tapaes was just a mere ladder to achieve Inoue's target.

I think every boxing fan wants to see that fight happen since that was the only fight for Inoue to prove he is the real monster if he beat Casimero, it would be a great accomplishment for him since he found the last piece of the puzzle for his achievement. As for Tapales, he won't have any chance to win the fight and it would be just a waste of belts to fight Inoue right now. Maybe he needs more time until he fights Inoue but if he really wants to try his luck then it's really up to him.

Tapales probably sees an opportunity in fighting Inoue; it's the money he would make, which is bigger compared to fighting an unknown boxer who would be his challenger. He's seizing the opportunity, win or lose; he would make a decent paycheck. But if he wins via an upset, it will be life-changing for him, and he will be recognized all over the world. With that to happened, I'm sure there are more opportunities waiting for him.

He is just being practical, man. Of course, money is the priority, as a boxer cannot be in the sport forever. Even some of the most popular athletes in the sport have retired early because they feel they cannot compete against younger boxers. So, Tapales needs to choose the right direction, which is to ensure that he will earn big in a fight. Besides, if he keeps fighting challengers, there's still a possibility that he would lose in the long run, or maybe he would seek bigger challenges. And this one is already in front of him; it's the biggest opportunity in his life but also the biggest gamble. So, his confidence that he can beat Inoue is what matters. He is a real warrior who is not afraid to take on big challenges.
665  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 07, 2023, 02:50:46 PM

With regards to the potential Canelo vs. Bud next year, it sounds crazy but really doable if Canelo approves it. If I were Canelo, I would take it since it is the biggest fight in boxing right now. He will be bashed a lot though if he wins and it could be worse if he loses to someone who moves up two divisions. I like Bud to win but I believe Canelo will be too much and destroy him.

No doubt, it would be the best fight ever since the guy will not hesitate to move just for the sake of beating Canelo and it will be the best opportunity for him as well because he won't need to sacrifice much since he is comfortable in their weight division, it would be best for him to accept such fight in order to fully raise their flag and we will seeing another huge fight next year once again.

Canelo should take that opportunity, as Crawford is at a big disadvantage if he moves up just to fight him. Take the win and earn a lot of money; that's good for him. He also has a big chance to destroy Crawford's dream of becoming an undisputed champion again. One thing that this fight guarantees is that both fighters are going to make a lot of money, so there's no reason this would not happen.

667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to identify shitcoins? on: September 06, 2023, 12:25:32 PM
Project that promises something too sweet to be available it is a scam or a scam attention. For some, since it is not bitcoin, it is  a shit coin while some differentiates.

Most shitcoins are just mimicking original roadmaps and whitepapers from other successful projects and in the accusation board, there are lots of them right there. But as we know, only a handful of newbies know that place and they don't seem to understand the first thing to look at when it comes to investing in new coins. They failed to comprehend the important thing which is to do their own research before deciding to invest.
Very unfortunate because not all have the time to read and remember roadmaps and whitepapers on successful projects. But aside from this, there is still a lot of indication that a particular project is a scam, and that is those fake people behind it. But sadly, only a good researcher could find out that those who easily get fooled by these big/popular names as the members of the project will suffer the consequences.
We use our instincts as well, and it works sometimes but most of all, we do have not to hurry to invest in new projects.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Possible measures to stop online gambling addiction. on: September 04, 2023, 01:04:24 PM
One thing for sure is if he cares about his future then he can somehow find a way to stop it and will change his views regarding luck and opportunity to become financial free and rich. honestly, there are lots of ways to achieve those goals and you don't seem to find it in playing the whole day and night on your computer especially when you win once and you lose thrice.

from time to time, a person should assess himself of what he is now in life, and what he truly wants to achieve. because without assessment of what's going on with your life, you can easily lose track of your goals.
so do you really think if someone is in gambling, he will achieve his targets in life? i don't think so.
I agree and much more impossible if the whole life we keep on gambling. Why? because the more we gamble, the more we lose - a sad reality. If ever we make big wins today, we possibly lose big amounts in the next few days. It is just like we are playing our own money while the casino gives nothing to us aside from being entertained and enjoying the game.
If we really could think deeply and care about our future, we wouldn't have to do this but because we are looking for a place to relax ourselves, we gamble until we become addicted.
669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Airdrop Scam on Trust Wallet via Links on: September 04, 2023, 12:30:39 PM

In addition, never ever connect your wallet on random links or websites and always verify if the airdrop is true or not, and don't be greedy for the sake of a few dollars. Cause sometimes when we become too greedy, it could lead to a problem rather than a good result
The best thing to do is not to join Airdrop anymore because these scammers once you see your wallet address, give them an interest. Those wallet addresses that are exposed can possibly be their target and they'll find a way to get in touch with us and fulfill their evil plan. But yeah, if we are also clever enough and know how to determine a scam attempt, they will fail. But for those greedy people, I was certain that they would fall into the trap.

It is something we need to be more vigilant about and think about several times before making a decision. We can't underestimate scammers as they are also knowledgeable about the market.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling should be play with care on: September 04, 2023, 11:30:58 AM
Not only with care but also gambling should be played moderately and responsibly.  Anyone can play gambling with care but in the absence of moderation and responsible gambling, it can still end up in a devastating loss.  Aside from that learning how to properly manage our bankroll will also maximize our gambling activity with minimum funds.  So I always think that gambling will be an awesome experience if we consider playing with care, moderation, responsibility, and bankroll management.  This way we can keep our gambling activity forever without suffering any financial backlash from this activity.
Gambling with care is the ultimate advantage specified for all gamblers. Profits are always generated in the system; it's just a matter of how precise our plans are. We are disciplined and consistently sought for the most beneficial gambling decisions readily available. Gambling with disciplinary measures would provide our safe accounts and securing enormous profits with additional meaning. We are not willing to tolerate or make mistakes that will cost us a lot of money, which is why we stick to a plan or principle that is definitely prospective and will keep us moving forward.
The best thing we can do is not to fall into addiction otherwise, everything becomes a mistake and incurs terrible losses.
Being a responsible gambler helps us to keep on limitations and be able to stick to the plan. But as we can see, the majority went off and made decisions wrongly which brought them in the wrong direction, and suffered the most. But because we are talking about gambling, we also have to accept that we can't defeat the house which means that no matter how careful we are, losses are very possible.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: September 04, 2023, 10:48:59 AM
-snip-
The more you understand gambling, the more you win.
Actually you're correct in the first line, but the second and third line are bullshit.bounty.
I agree with the line "The more you understand gambling, the more you win" based on my point of view. It is common knowledge that the gambling machines are set to favor the house, either in the short or long term. If gamblers understand this especially if they are losing, they can actually win against their desire to pursue nothing but fun.
unfortunately, most of us fail to understand how gambling works and we always mislead ourselves when we lose control when defeat comes, it triggers our adrenaline and we always keep betting with the hope of a return. TBH, I fully support the word but only a small percentage of gamblers today can really understand how gambling works and on the one hand if they can understand how gambling works I think they really will win over themselves not to make large amounts of bets only for uncertain wins and in this scenario it would not hurt to stop for a while not betting take the time to think about the truth about gambling and how to quit gambling activity in large numbers.
We usually fail to understand because of desperation and chasing losses. Most of us become too emotional and have been controlled by it which causes us to commit more mistakes and losses. I can admit that I was in that situation before and I thought that gambling more and spending more would help to recover losses but in the end, I'm the one suffering the most while the house takes all my money. The more we become disappointed, the more the house loves us.
672  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to join best bounty and earn money? on: September 03, 2023, 09:44:17 PM
I don't understand there are so many bounty in bounty section. Because a YouTuber made video and I saw. He says make account and than earn money with bounty and I don't have knowledge?
They are using attractive/promising words in order to encourage viewers to invest in their promoted project. Indeed, that was their job but of course, it was your part to do research in order to validate if that was true or fake promotion. If could just think about the current situation, there are plenty of bounties in the market, and sad to say only a few of them are worth investing in while the majority are scams and useless projects. And if you are lazy enough not to do research or just simply follow these influencers, do not wonder why you fall into scam projects.

If Davis weren't injury-prone, I would choose him over Giannis because, in my opinion, Davis is smarter than Giannis. Based on my observations, Davis doesn't easily panic, and he loves to take the last shot. But when it comes to Giannis, he seems too predictable. I would compare Davis to LeBron, as both are gifted with great physique but aren't that clutch in crucial moments.
You give credit to Davis for loving to take the last shot on one end but you also said at the end that he isn't clutch. I don't know but that really sounds confusing to me.

Sorry about that, it was a typo error. I was using Giannis and LeBron as examples because both are very dominant big men who can defend well but aren't great shooters, especially in crucial moments. Giannis tends to get flustered when faced with double or triple teams, making it easy to beat him if opponents exploit this weakness, as the Heat did. As for LeBron, his shooting percentage seems to decrease in crucial moments, which is why he often chooses to pass the ball and let his teammates take the last shot. This way, he avoids blame in case the shot fails.
674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 03, 2023, 01:14:21 PM
Correct! Why bother to trade your superstar with someone who is known to be an injury-prone player? that's make no sense at all.

Though on some side both are really playing great and the impact is not by far but investment wise, for me, I'll rather
add more money for Giannis' deal instead of letting him go.

Giannis is an all-around player and if he will play with someone who can meet his level of competitiveness, chance that
they may win another title is still possible.

If Davis wasn't injury-prone, then a 1-to-1 trade would make sense since both players are good enough. I would even say that a healthy Davis is slightly better than Giannis in terms of defense. However, the reality is that Davis' value has dropped significantly due to frequent injuries, and such a deal would clearly not interest the Bucks. For comparison, Giannis played 719 games in 10 seasons, while Davis only played 660 games in 11 seasons.

If Davis weren't injury-prone, I would choose him over Giannis because, in my opinion, Davis is smarter than Giannis. Based on my observations, Davis doesn't easily panic, and he loves to take the last shot. But when it comes to Giannis, he seems too predictable. 675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to invest AI coins? on: September 03, 2023, 11:23:34 AM
Might AI coins will soon to hype but probably not this time, not this year. Not really a bad decision to buy these coins but if thinking that it will be bullish, I still don't think so. I would say that we must act cautiously when investing in new projects, they are not yet tested so it was hard to tell and overthink what would happen to them. Still, the best thing to do and it is quite safer is to invest in top altcoins. We don't need to rush nor we can compare them to meme coins which really gain attention and massive short-term investors and think that it will occur to AI coins.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I go with Bitcoin or Altcoins for the upcoming bull run cycle? on: September 03, 2023, 10:32:33 AM
30k is a scary amount to invest in altcoins even if you know that an altcoin boom is coming in the horizon, I've learned my lesson about altcoins last season so I don't want to repeat the same mistakes, I'm better off just waiting for my bitcoin to grow and hopefully sell it at a favorable price and then hopefully get in quickly to it. OP's plan is feasible and attractive to follow but that will be the possible scenario if all the stuff that OP mentioned exactly happened and we know that the cryptocurrency market is a volatile market and you will never know what's going to happen even if you are good at market analysis.
Indeed it is scary if you are investing in new projects but if you are investing in ETH, you are going to have peace of mind. But yes, $30k is quite huge enough to put into a risky investment even though we know that ETH can be trusted or ideal for long-term investment. If ever I have that amount in hand, I will put some amount to other form in investment or start a business as in the case that we lose in crypto, we still have other way to recover those losses from other investment and income resources.
677  Economy / Speculation / Re: what a surprise dip on: September 02, 2023, 09:31:09 PM

Sometimes you may need money and then you may need to sell Bitcoin. Except in such a case, it is a wrong decision to sell if the price of bitcoin is below the price you bought. We must learn to wait in this market and to trade when the time comes.
You can unless you have another source of income but for those who have not and see selling their Bitcoin as the last option, we can't hold them back. This is what happens to some holders, they're selling not because they are panicking but because of some emergencies and they are badly in need of money.
Quote
When you panic and sell when the market is falling, you want the price to drop more. Sometimes it can be like this, but after every drop in Bitcoin, the price increases. At the very least, selling by paying attention to support and resistance can reduce some of your losses.
When there is a huge selling volume, it will badly affect the price a reason why we can see an instant drop in prices. But if we absolutely trust Bitcoin, I don't think it will come to this point -panicking instead, we remain calm and ignore the dump because we believe that it has risen again.
678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take your eyes off from the fall in price on: September 02, 2023, 01:43:33 PM
Fall of price is a common thing that will always take part in the market, their is no point to get panic when the  market goes down.
Perhaps it was a common thing but some people hardly understand the situation and even think that every price fall is a sign of more falls to come which makes them panic and upload their coins. It was definitely wrong but some people stance their wrong insights until such time they will find it by themselves that they are wrong. Sadly, some people need to commit big mistakes before knowing that it is a wrong decision.
Well, anyway, it was been told that experience is a great source of learning and this is really what happens to most of us.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 - Betting and Discussions on: September 02, 2023, 12:55:30 PM
A good start for the Philippines, currently leading by 7 points and keeping China scoreless. This could be the night they secure their first win as they are currently 0-3. I hope the Philippines can finally achieve victory tonight; it's much needed to reduce criticism, especially as the host country, and being winless so far.

Best of luck to the Philippines in securing this final win!

Yes, they should be fighting here, at least get one win and that's it and bury this as a learning experience for the team. Slight lead for them at the half. And it should boost their confidence here.

The Filipino fans are still supporting Gilas no matter what, even if they boo their own coach which is very weird. I guess someone has to be blame though, and usually it is the coach.

It has been an entertaining game so far, and both teams seem to have a good understanding of each other's strategies. The first half has concluded with China holding a one-point lead. In this tournament, the Philippines tends to struggle in the second half, but they can't afford that now if they want to secure a win in this competition. The Philippines' persistent issue with three-point shooting seems to persist, but fortunately, China is also struggling in this regard. However, it's worth noting that China's free throw performance is significantly better than the Philippines', so the home team needs to address this aspect as well.
