so are they going to keep buying and selling to Australian customers who pay into their Australian bank account?

Will they not have to charge gst to such customers?
I'm assuming they would need to in order to remain 'compliant' in Australia.  Sadly, I have a sneaking suspicion it's only a matter of time before the UK adopts a similar policy however.

Not much longer until this black betty scam ba lam finally run's it's course.  Congratulations on being such a putz CryptX.  I know I know, most of my anger I should probably direct back at myself, "whose the bigger putz, the putz or the putz who follows him kind of thing?", but you sir are a festering wound in the world of crypto and it will be nice to see you completely disappear.

What peta shares are doing was completely predictable (and predicted). You cant blame the issuer for the demand (/stupidity) that existed, which caused an absurdly high market price that could never ROI in any sensible scenario. If you bought in to that, you only have yourself to blame. Its not like I didnt go out of my way to point out the obvious.

Now despite everything Ive been posting in this thread, compared to the real "festering wound" that are all those ponzi's, I actually think peta is a pretty darn good example of how to run a cloudmining operation transparently. No one doubts he has the hashrate, everyone knows who to sue if you think you have a case. I certainly wish there where more companies like that.
Oh I know you've been calling this for awhile Puppet.  But you obviously didn't read my entire post.

P.S.  Latest update from CryptX petamine fund:
Dear unit holders,

For those of you who do not know yet, we are using ghash.io as our mining pool. The market share of ghash.io has declined to 13% recently (where it was +30% several weeks/months ago). While this is a good thing for decentralization, this also means that pool variance (the luck of a pool finding a block) is more volatile and thus also affecting stability of daily revenue.
Due to this increased variance, it is possible that we need to combine several days of mining before we are able to pay out dividends (note that over a longer period of time, variance should be flattened out).

704  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] USA (1) Gridseed Blade and (56) 5-chip pods. on: December 01, 2014, 05:20:01 PM
I did just see a batch of 5x of these Gridseed's sell on e-bay for $29.99 + $10.00 for expedited shipping.  Thats $8/unit with shipping (so yeah, $3 probably a little low).

Hate to say it mein, but there is no way you will find anybody in the forum that's willing to pay anywhere near the $17.50 your accustomed to getting for these on e-bay.

I too have a bunch of obsolete hardware that is literally just gathering dust on a shelf and have taken a look at what I could dump them for..it ain't much.  Because of this I've decided to go ahead and simply hold onto them in the hopes that perhaps they might be valuable antiques in another 3-5 years.  You've seen what you can get for a working Apple I right!?  Just a thought Wink

706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAX] MaxCoin - MANDATORY UPDATE 9.3.1 - Sept 12 on: December 01, 2014, 03:13:38 AM
It did came off very slimy and I should have worded it differently, but coins like this never intend to solve any problems and I just don't have sympathy for people who seriously believe in a coin just because there is a name behind it. I'm not bitter or anything as I'm very much in the green with maxcoin but I do think if this picks up (eve if it's a huge if) it will be for the very same reason it conceived; to fill some pockets. And I might as well have my little bag if that happens.
I respect that.

As for coa32's comment, it appears as though I stand corrected regarding Max having completely abandoning this coin.  2nd half of that episode 686 was indeed about StartJoin and maxcoin crypto-bullion.

oh boy, the maxcoin crypto one-two punch again?  Give me a freaking break.  The only tie this coin has with Max Kaiser at this point is it's name.  Max abandoned this coin before it technically got off the ground when the 'development team' was unable to even generate maxcoin's genesis block on his show.

Ask yourself this one simple question: "When is the last time you heard Max Kaiser even mention maxcoin on his show?  In an interview?  At all?

Maxcoin was and still is an embarrassment and I seriously doubt that is likely to change anytime soon.

How is this is any more of an embarrasment than 95% of all the altcoins?

Max abandoned this, no question about that but if that idiot decides to return, gullible people will suck his shit up and this coin will fly. On the off chance of that happening, I don't mind holding.
I agree your argument hold's some water certainly.  But to hold onto a coin in the hopes that 'gullible people will suck this shit up and this coin will fly' is a pretty uninformed, and somewhat slimy way to try and make a profit or as is the case with most MaxCoin holders I'm sure at this point, just get their money back.  Additionally given the amount of focus Kaiser has been placing on StartJoin and StartCoin I suspect Max's return to this coin is highly improbable to say the least.

As for your comment regarding how is this different from 95% of the other alt's out there?  It isn't, I completely agree that majority of alt's are complete sham's, however, there are at least a handful (perhaps even less than 5%) at this point that are at least trying to do something innovative with their respective codebase.  A quick gander at the maxcoin github listing indicates there hasn't been a single line of code changed let alone new code written for MaxCoin in 3 months?!?!

Was considering joining your signature campaign but I don't like promoting site's I haven't at least done a cursory examination of first.  While I was trying to create my account, after entering phone # and password related information along with captcha, I was then told that a confirmation code would be sent to my phone.  It never arrived :/

*Can somebody give me a hint here?

OK, went back and tried using a much simpler password this time.  Got confirmation code on my phone and it let me in.  I'll check your site out a bit more and plug in your signature if I like what I see.

**Thought I would throw a quick FYI in here for web-admin.  I went to go change my simplified password and noticed a slight syntactical fo-pah.
Under the Account/Default/Dashboard under [Security Settings] you have the following text: "For security reasons, we recommend recurrent resetting your password.", think you might wanna insert an 'of' in-between 'resetting' and 'your'

***Liking what I'm seeing thus far though.
712  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: November 30, 2014, 05:49:21 AM
Both have 1GH/share.
But PETA have over twice more maintenance fee - 0.105$ GH/month vs. 0.0498$ GH/month.
PETA pays dividends based on mined BTC and BTC price durring conversion to fiat (thus luck have big impact on divs), AMHASH is paying calculated divs (amount of BTC that 1GH should mine in 24h, average price of BTC in 24h @ BITSTAMP). As you can see those factors resulting in 4 times lower  divs than AMHASH (lately). There are days when PETA didn't pay div at all. That was very bad luck days.

Thank you, Dexter.
Divs from Peta 4 times lower then AMHash? It looks like goddam.. Or maybe deception? Clearly luck=0 at a long distance

Nice smooth update to the new client this evening.

Tried sending a test chat message to username mogrith (??)

*FYI to dev, not digging that [Enter] doesn't effectively act as [Send] click :/

**Only wish I would've read the thread before attempting to send some of my coins to both bittrex and cryptsy :/

***FYI for you guys, navajocoin no longer appears to be trading on bittrex at all so don't shoot your coins to the great NULL device in the sky like I did.

Looking forward to seeing what else develops for this coin.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ██ ZEITCOIN MOVEMENT [FULLY POS] ██ Minticator, 25% interest 1 year on: November 25, 2014, 10:37:28 PM
A first deposit of Zeitcoin matures and is ready for minting after 20 days. The actual minting depends on the weighting: the time elapsing after maturation and the amount of Zeitcoin deposited.

Zeitcoin is pretty quick to mint compared to some other POS coins, but this process can take a number of days to complete. With other POS coins it can take weeks. Try again in a few days time.

When minting happens, you will be given added interest on the extra days that you have waited.
So I shouldn't expect first PoS reward until 20 days after initial 20 days of staking?  I.E. 40 days or so?

You didn't say that in your original post. 40 days from a first deposit has not been my experience and I've gone through many minting periods. v2.0.1.2 was an intermediate wallet. The latest is v2.0.1.3. Perhaps you should install that. If your initial staking deposit was very small, then that might lead to a delay in minting. In Zeitcoinland we talk in millions.
Just got my first Staked coins about 35 minutes ago.  Ok, so it was roughly 22 days since I deposited my first Zeit.  Pretty much on target it appears.  Thanks for the replies.

Sure have.  A little hard for me to see the lettering on the InstantDEX portion of it because my hella old laptop's screen is so dim.

Gaw has had Bitmain come and say they have bought 5PH

Long after they had been selling it. If you read my thread, you'll have noticed I suspect GAW  'preselling' hashrate.

Quote
Hashie is saying they're backed by ASICMiner and RockMiner and this may just be their AMHash

Show me the link; yes they do resell AMhash which is legit. They have provided zero evidence for their own hashrate and no asic vendor has vouched for that to my knowledge.

btw If you just look at hashie's homepage and see how they stress that AMhash is '100% real and proven'  without saying a thing about their own hashrate, it says enough doesnt it? Why would they even resell someone else's hashrate if they have their own farm and can operate cheaper than amhash?

Its a stupid move by amhash to allow a scam to resell their product, but that doesnt change the fact they are almost certainly scam.

I don't know much about Hashie to be honest as I don't use them and for GAW I agree I don't know if they had actually had the amount of power previously (they probably had the scrypt power since they had so many physical machines and i assume they were mining a bit before they shipped out) and the Sha power was probably just from some of their coin they had but now we do know they have the power and no one has been screwed on payments yet, so i'm not worried about it.
Personally I picked up 30GH worth of hash at hashie on 10/23 and thus far everything has been working as it should.  I must admit however, I too am a bit surprised that they are now 'reselling' amhash1 shares (at original IPO cost no doubt) despite the fact that amhash1 on havelock is now trading for over this amount.  Very curious.

Now sitting at 22 days since adding first zeitcoin to my local wallet and started staking.  Still nothing.  Really starting to suspect PoS doesn't work at all with the client I'm using. (v2.0.1.2)
