701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chances of Bitcoin ETF approval gone up on: November 17, 2023, 06:03:24 PM
I agree with others, just because they have a different approach or different understanding, doesn't mean that it has gone up, it just means that it is "different", this could be lower, higher or even similar and doesn't mean anything has changed. I do agree that it is not going to be easy to get it approved, it is not going to be impossible neither.

What I believe is that one day we will have a Bitcoin ETF for sure, it is not going to be like forever banned thing, we will see one before we get to old age, but I also believe that it is to going to be too easy, we are going to end up seeing companies work super hard for it. I hope that people could do something about making it accepted faster so that we could see it quicker but unfortunately it may take some more time. Meanwhile, price of bitcoin has gone up significantly, from under 20k to over 35k, without ETF, which proves that we are talking about this but it is useless, we can go up without that too for sure.
702  Economy / Economics / Re: 2,000 Years of Economic History in One Chart on: November 17, 2023, 05:36:51 PM
Honestly, USD losing its value is not a shocker, nothing can stay at the top forever, and nothing did, since the start of calculations like this, which I assume the best case could be ancient Egypt and Greece, we have seen powers go up and powers go down.

I am not saying our lifetime will be enough, maybe it will take another century or two, we do not know when that could happen, but we can say that USA will lose its place at the very top, and that may not happen overnight, so we are seeing the start of the cracks. Eventually, some other power will takeover, and then whoever is that power, eventually they will go down too, it is just human nature. Whenever people reach to the top, they require a difficulty, a task, a challenge basically where they are tested and that is the logic.

Think of it like boxing, when you reach the top, you fight for the title, and then you fight to defend the title, eventually losing the title one way or another and some other person becomes the champion, and then someone beats them, and so forth.
703  Economy / Economics / Re: The Thailand government will distribute money to its citizens. Economists critic on: November 17, 2023, 04:19:42 PM
Not really that shocking, that is what printing of money looks like. We need to remember two things, first of all governments do not have their own money, they do not make money, they do not have income, they just tax you and then in this case give you the money back, equally to everyone no matter how much you were taxed.

Secondly, we need to remember that no matter if you do a good thing or a bad thing for a nation, as long as you do not have a sustained thing, it will not matter. Even the worst thing possible, unless it is for a very long period of time, I do not think that it will matter all that much, we should realize that we need to do a lot better with some time and that means that we need to be careful about it.
704  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is the second most popular investment in "France" on: November 17, 2023, 03:58:50 PM
I still think that it is a very equally balanced one but we should add in NFT with crypto too, maybe they are not coins but they are still in the crypto world, which means if you add 9.4 with 2.8, you get 13.2, and make it the biggest investment they have.

I mean surely NFT is not the same as investing into bitcoin, but getting ape nft or ape token is the same thing in the end and they are both crypto to me. This is why I believe that young people of France are investing into crypto more than anything else. This is a good indicator for the future, it should be noted that we are going to see more and more from other nations as well and eventually every nation in the world will have these type of rates on their young people.
705  Economy / Economics / Re: How to survive hyperinflation? on: November 17, 2023, 01:36:41 PM
The greatest method I have come to find would be just letting your income grow with it, and purchase stuff beforehand. It was a stupid move maybe, but me and my wife purchased A TON of stuff at the start of hyperinflaiton in our country, and right now, even though we still have a lot of debt to pay, that debt is lesser percentage of our income, compared to the start of it.

We still have no money at all, and a ton of debt, but at least it looks like we are capable of  living better nowadays, specially in this last two months it has gone staggeringly better thanks to my boss as well. So I am guessing, by start of 2024, it will be insanely much better too, with her getting a bigger increase in her income. So all in all, I have to say that increasing income, and making a debt to grow, is a smart move that helps you on the long run. I personally know that it is not that easy to handle it, but you have to learn to do it somehow in order to grow during hyperinflation.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eloncoin will be massive. on: November 16, 2023, 06:05:55 PM
I would say it is both a risk and "fun" thing some people are doing. It is a risk because there is a super high chance that this is simply just a scam, and I would never put a cent into it personally myself because I see tokens and coins as investments and not fun things to enjoy.

However, I agree that after what happened to doge and shiba and pepe and many others, people think this is going to be a fun way to invest, something like "f the man" type of stance, something they can do to enjoy life and I believe that is not going to be acceptable all that easily. I get that it may not be all that simple, but we need to realize that life is not all that simple and we need to arrange something that has to be a bit more personal in the end.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the Bear and Bull Markets for Altcoins? on: November 16, 2023, 05:04:51 PM
Alts have a shorter span of bull run, which makes it harder. What I mean is that during the bull run of crypto, bitcoin goes up first, then alts go up, then alts go down, then bitcoin goes down. This means that bitcoin takes slower to go down, and has a bigger span of staying higher, whereas alts during bull run could go down even during the bull run, there are plenty of projects that fail and screw up, so they do carry a big risk and even the ones that stay longer, will end up going down before bitcoin most of the time.

That is an important information because it means that you are going to end up with a shorter span of time to make a profit if you want to, however the upside is bigger, while you can make maybe 3x with bitcoin if you are lucky, you could make as much as 10x with alts, it's a shorter span of time but it is a bigger high. If you know what you are buying and do not get screwed up with a scam shitcoin then you could make a lot of profit from them.
708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and War Crimes? on: November 16, 2023, 03:39:00 PM
People think that before bitcoin there were no illegal transactions of money? I mean if that's what they really believe in, that would be very funny, I think people should read up on money laundering history, hell one of the biggest mob bosses in the entire world got jailed just because he didn't pay his taxes, so believe me when I say this; bitcoin is just another way but they have been doing this forever.

I understand that life is not that simple and you want to see less innocent people pass away due to war so the intention is good but bitcoin has nothing to do with that. Maybe it has made that easier too, just like it made everything else easier, but just because it made it easier doesn't mean it started the whole thing.
709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What percentage of bitcoin investors are gamblers ? on: November 15, 2023, 07:45:49 PM
Are we "let me get some bitcoins so I can gamble with it" kind of people or not? That plays a big role to be fair. There are some people out there who do not want to invest into bitcoin, but they do buy bitcoin or get bitcoin because they want to gamble with it, like some sort of casino chip for them, but they do get into bitcoin because of it in the end. If we calculate them as bitcoin investors then I would say that there are a lot of people who are both bitcoin investors and also gamblers. However, if we do not consider them as investors, I would be able to say that they are not really that weird, and looks like it is going to end up with something that could change it long term.

Hopefully they could end up with something that should be changing in the end. Lets hope that we could end up with something that would be a bigger change, and should not really be cared about in the end, I personally believe the best would be to just ignore these, and let investors be investors and gamblers be gamblers and not really care who is who.
710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conclusion after losing millions! that games are rigged. on: November 15, 2023, 07:16:02 PM
It's such a weird feeling that people would think that provably fair stuff could be rigged, or even if not provably fair, casinos that makes millions of dollars would rig and have a risk of losing all their customers.

Think about it, you make 1 million dollars per year profit, would you give it all away for 10 million dollars today? I would not, that would not make sense, I could just sell my company and keep being rich, do another business, or just retire and be healthy. I can say that me personally? I would retire for 200k dollars, that would be more than enough for me to retire, and would be a decent amount.

These people are making more money in profit right now then they could ever spend, they do not "need" this much money, why would they take a risk and lose it all just to steal from some customers? That never made sense to me at all. I understand that we are going to end up with something that would be a little bit of a big change if that were true.
711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can a gambler be a good bitcoin trader? on: November 15, 2023, 06:05:04 PM
Can be? Sure. I mean are we strictly talking about talents that you gain while gambling ending up very helpful for bitcoin trading? I am not so sure about that part. But, there is no mutually exclusive thing about being gambler and being a trader. You could be a good trader just like how anyone else becomes a good trader, and you could also end up being a good gambler at the same time, very separate things, and not because of one another.

If you think that being a great gambler, or just being a gambler, could help you with trading then yes you are wrong and those two things have nothing to do with each other, but that is a special thing and you should keep remembering that, there is a big deal about that for sure.
712  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How did you overcome the hurdles and gain confidence to trade as a Newbie? on: November 15, 2023, 05:08:20 PM
Honestly I just realized that I can't lose forever and if I keep learning then I will eventually get better, it is only logical. Of course it was normal that I did not started as a great trader, who starts very good at trading on their very first trade and then stay great forever?

Even if you get lucky and have a few good trades at first, you will end up being greater later on and have a terrible part in the middle. So I realized, yes I am making a loss and doing bad and there are a lot of issues, but if I keep at it and keep trading and keep learning, then I am going to be a lot better with time. Which is what happened really, I ended up getting better and ended up making more and more profit with time as well.
713  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How much was the price of Bitcoin when you started trading? on: November 14, 2023, 06:42:49 PM
To be fair I do not remember the exact price of how much it was, I can't say to the last dollar, it was somewhere around 100-200 dollars, it was between those prices I am 100% sure about that much, it was definitely between those, but I am not sure how much it was. This isn't something easy that I could make sure that easily, it is something difficult to know beforehand to be fair. I get that some people may have some sort of approach to it differently and I can understand that, it is not an issue, but that doesn't mean that I can remember it.

Plus, just because we got into it early doesn't mean that we made a lot of money, I got in when it was under 200 dollars, at that time I had some money, if I put all my money in, I would be rich, but neither did I invested that much, nor I kept the bitcoins that I got during those times, it went up a little, I made a little profit and I sold it. So getting in early all by itself is not really equal to getting rich.
714  Economy / Speculation / Re: A 8th golden cross of Bitcoin before the halving on: November 14, 2023, 06:08:39 PM
These are all speculations, doesn't mean that OP is wrong, doesn't mean he is right, it just means this is one of the speculations, one of the analysis, and we need to remember it in the end. I believe that we are going to end up with something that would be all that much different and difficult.

We can't "know" what the price will be, there is no possibility of that, we can just assume and guess, I think this is just one of those. That is what we must do though, because otherwise how would we invest? I mean you can't invest by just flipping a coin and buying selling according to results, you need to make some analysis, even if it is wrong sometimes, you need to make sure that you have something that you base your investments on.
715  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market Chart November and December 2023!! on: November 14, 2023, 05:08:10 PM
It's weird that we do not have our current level, or lower at all. If you want to manipulate the poll, you could just say "be higher than 40k or more than 50k" and just have those two options. No need to manipulate it this way, if you want to get the real results, give people option to say it will be lower. I understand that it may not be all that you want, I get that it could be a bit different, but that doesn't change the fact all that much, we need to be realist.

There are plenty of people who think that we will finish the year under 40k, and none of their votes will show up here, and that is not realistic at all. I would say, just two options, over 40k or under 40k, just those two would be enough. Why would that be enough? Well, simply because if you give people those two options, then you will get the idea if they think it will go up or not, and if the people who think it will go up are bigger, that is a good outlook for the future of bitcoin.
716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 Oscar Awards bets and discussions on: November 14, 2023, 04:56:14 PM
Honestly, as someone who has watched Oppenheimer, that movie deserves an Oscar without a doubt, there is no other movie that was made all this year since the last Oscars that could be even remotely as close to that as possible.

I mean just the very last sentence is chilling, "I think we did", anyone who watched it knows what I am talking about, I do not want to give any spoilers, but that alone, from Cillian Murphy, is just unbelievable. I have watched many scary movies in my life, I love them, and yet I can tell you that none of them ended as scary as that because it's the reality we are living in right now. That is why I have to say that this movie was definitely the best movie there ever was without a doubt, best movie I have seen in many years.
717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League 2023/24 Season on: November 14, 2023, 03:54:54 PM
Adanademirsport looks to be third in the league, I knew that Besiktas was the third biggest because I follow them on transfermarkt, the whole league, and see the values of the clubs, seems like Besiktas has been on a rot recently and not doing all that well.

I guess that some teams have that, and Fenerbahce played with the team that was third, feels like it's normal to get a tie out of that game, doesn't really feel shocking. I get that fans may not be happy with ref decisions, but to be fair in every league and in every game some fans are not happy with ref decisions. I can guarantee you that we can pick ANY game in all five big leagues (those are the ones I know) and ask the fans and they will say in the last game they played the ref was horrible. That is a common thing in football, nobody likes the refs, that comes with the job, you have to be aware that you are not liked by anyone.
718  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is it difficult for people to get capital easily? on: November 14, 2023, 03:12:52 PM
Capitals are already covered by most people, and that means there aren't any left for you to get it. Think about it, we are talking about a situation where you are ending up with a lot of money, and would you give that to someone else so they would have capital? You will probably want even more, and that is why capitals are not easy to find.

I can start with zero dollars today, and it would take me years to get to where I am today, I can't say that just because I made some money, I am good enough to make sure that I can live off that again today, that's not going to happen. We need to realize that even if you put Elon Musk to an unknown, not famous, zero dollars situation, he won't get back to being rich like this again.
719  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you work toward hodling bitcoin? on: November 14, 2023, 01:55:44 PM
Honestly, I would have been a multi-millionaire if I held every bitcoin I had, not that I earned nothing, I did earn some decent amount of money and I have been living full-time bitcoin earner for the past 7-8 years, so I can say that whatever I spent on the last 8 years, was purely from bitcoin income, which must be something close to half 100k or even more dollars give or take, I think something like 130k would be a realist amount to say for the past 8 years.

That alone is good enough amount to say that I did alright, so I do not have much right now, maybe like a few thousand dollars at most, but I did earned that much so far, which should be the key factor here, holding is not a must, as long as you get to make your living from it.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex was hacked (Security Breach Discussion) on: November 13, 2023, 06:46:59 PM
This is a huge one, but it also begs the question, how did 60 million dollars was at a place that was easily accessible by a hacker. I mean there shouldn't be that much money in the hot wallet, which means that its going to be a tough pill to swallow for them but something they could learn from.

A 5% return would be 3 million dollars, and the yare not like asking it to people, they are asking the person who stole the money to bring it back. So, you either get 3 million clean money, or you get 60 million dirty money.

Anyone who has gone enough far to just hack it on an exchange and steal 60 million dollars would be a black hat hacker anyway and I do not see them giving that much money away to clear their name and give 57 back. That should be a priority of them to offer a bounty like that before any of this happens, so people could show them what's wrong, if you do not do that then you are going to get attacked by people. At least they learned a very expensive lesson, if they survive this then they should be able to protect their money better.
