1701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN ADOPTION THROUGH SOCIAL VALUE, THANKS SATOSHI (SN) and Duelbits(Hhampuz) on: January 27, 2023, 03:53:01 PM
Having and understanding and empathy towards other people is a rare treat in humanity these days. And I understand people who ignore these things as well, their life is not as good as they imagined it would be, and because of the pandemic period and economic crisis that followed, plenty of people are living in either poverty, or poorer than they used to be, which makes it harder for them to care for people who are even worse conditions. So, I do not blame anyone who doesn't do these type of things.

But, people like OP that work towards making the world a better place for everyone are the true heroes of the world, thanks to them we are at least a bit better if not whole lot better for some people.
1702  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we end the *VOLATILITY OF BITCOIN* on: January 26, 2023, 09:31:31 PM
I agree that there is a bit more increases than calculated if you take the bottom of a year and the top of another year, which means in 2020 it was as low as 4k and it was as high as 68k in 2021, meaning it did went up quite a bit, more than 15x in fact.

However, it's still nothing major compared to what it used to be, x100 was something not so shocking back in the day, and it's near impossible right now. Which is why we should be considering this as a warning sign that we are not as volatile as we used to be. I wish we were that way we would have lower lows but it would also allow us to have higher highs as well. This would give us a chance to make a lot more profit than what we can do now.
1703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin compete with CBDC's? on: January 26, 2023, 08:55:10 PM
It can, it really really can. It's not going to be even similar, it will be something vastly different and people will react to it very differently. I know that people are not entirely sure about what to do when CBDC starts, and how the world will react to it, but we need to realize what it is and why it can't compete.

Why are we in bitcoin and not putting our money in fiat right now? Well, because we believe that bitcoin is better than holding it in fiat. What is CBDC? It's digital fiat, basically the same as fiat, but digital instead of paper. So that means why would people who moved away from fiat to go to bitcoin suddenly want to go to digital fiat instead? Makes no sense.
1704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 26, 2023, 08:14:44 PM
I disagree with bashing Barcelona for just one goal win. If they got the three points then that's all that matters and they did manage to win and they are still leading the league.

Doesn't matter if the win was with just one goal or with 5, as long as they get the win that's all that matters. They are doing quite well too, they are at a point where they are having less worry about losing the league, they could end up with losing eventually and then they can start to worry but so far they are leading with some points at hand and that's all that matters. From a team that sucked to a team that's winning the league in a year, that's actually a great improvement.
1705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - Lending Collateral on: January 26, 2023, 05:04:25 PM
This was explained to me this way, and I hope I can explain it the same way here again. Let's assume that you have A token, and you give your A token as collateral and using that loan to buy B token, your A token was worth 120 dollars, and B token you bought worths 100 dollars. When the market goes up, the A token you gave became 200 dollars worth, and the B token you bought worths 180 dollars.

Now you have enough money to pay the loan back. You sell 100 dollars worth of B token to get your tokens back, and you get ALL of your A tokens, which now worths 200 dollars. Now you end up with 280 dollars. If you kept your A tokens, you would have just 200 dollars. That is why, or at least I hope I understood it correctly.
1706  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: January 26, 2023, 04:22:43 PM
This assumes that you have enough money to buy a house. We need to remember that first of all you need to pay a certain sum to buy a house, even if you get 80% of the house on mortgage, you still have to pay 20% of it all at once, usually a lot more, and you also need to remember that not everyone will be capable of getting a loan. If you do not have a good credit score, banks won't give you a loan, I can't get a big loan for example.

It means that for some people renting is unavoidable, you have to accept the fact that you are going to pay that rent. Obviously it is going to be hard, but if renting is a must, you better find a very very cheap place so you can save money to buy a house eventually.
1707  Economy / Economics / Re: [Article] How ChatGPT Will Destabilize White-Collar Work on: January 26, 2023, 02:16:58 PM
It's not about chatgpt doing your work, it's about how we would find money after that. Lets be real, the industry age allowed less people to be employed afterwards, which meant that there would be less people needed in a factory, and the assembly line made it even harder to find a job there, so blue collar work became less and less paid job. Something that you could make a living from commonly, became harder.

But that opened the doors for people who had college degrees to find more and more jobs, and nowadays that is not good neither. Someone who has 2 masters degrees may never be able to buy a house in some cities, and now chatgpt will make it harder. So, where will we find money to survive? Where will our income come?
1708  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Market on the Rise, But Proceed with Caution! on: January 26, 2023, 01:03:41 PM
A lot of people are worried about the upside, and a lot of people were worried when it was in bear market as well, when are people not worried? Does it have to be 100k before you could be pumped and hyped about this. If you are not happy during bear market then I would understand, but why are you not happy and hyped about the price when we recovering to 23k levels?

We all should be celebrating this situation and we should be considering this as a path that is taking us to profits all over again. I am not saying we will be 100k tomorrow, but the path to 100k starts with first going over 20k, and now going over 30k soon hopefully, that's how we should be approaching it.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 25, 2023, 09:40:41 PM
I don't know if you guys have seen this, but there is a guy on twitter named devin and he is called "number one snitch on nba" and he shows the carries and travels and many other things that players constantly do. If you watch him, we all know this even watching but didn't know it was this bad, you will realize that all the players that we think are good, became good thanks to not caring about certain rules.

I mean if you carry the ball that much, it makes the defender jump because they think you will shoot, and then you just dribble again, that's just making the league a lot worse. I highly suggest watching his videos, he really shows how terrible some players would be if they followed rules.
1710  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I started instilling a bitcoin saving system on: January 25, 2023, 09:21:22 PM
I had one for 5 years now, which is easy for me because I get paid in bitcoin for my job, my salary is in bitcoin and I use a credit card. Which means that at the end of every month, I use my salary and turn that bitcoin into cash based on how much my credit card was used, and the rest stays in my account as bitcoins, and I have been doing this for 5 years. Sometimes I spent more than I earned, sometimes less, and overall I saved up some bitcoins.

I have been doing better this month compared to last month for example and that's fine, there is no issues here because it just means I am doing better than I used to, and could be worse in the future but I will keep doing it.
1711  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: January 25, 2023, 06:58:03 PM
Well, it is not the money, but more like corruption FOR money. It's humans that cause the trouble. Long long time ago we realized that if we are talking about resources, there is enough resources in the world to make sure everyone has one home, and enough good food, and clothes, for EVERYONE in the world.

But then we said we can't find any ideology that would both give everyone bare bottom those, and then anything above would be fine, capitalist in nature for rich, but socialist for the poorest, and unfortunately we couldn't figure out a way for that. This is why we are dealing with a bit of a trouble and it's causing everyone to be either super rich and evil, or poor.
1712  Economy / Economics / Re: Davos 2023: Saudi Arabia 'open' to discuss trading in non-dollar currencies on: January 25, 2023, 05:18:51 PM
I agree that they will keep using dollars to settle all their financial matters, but if they move a bit towards Riyal, that would really help them out a lot, would make their money stronger, but having that much dollar in the nation helps them anyway.

Euro is another strong currency and they could accept it, and after all USA is not enemy with Europe, they are friends, specially considering how they have a dislike towards Russia together. Which means if SA ever decides to accept Ruble? Now that would be a trouble for USA. Russia is already in trouble with mild winter and not much need for gas by anyone, so if SA ever saves them by accepting Ruble, that would be trouble, but if not, then euro or dollar doesn't matter that much.
1713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The truth about Terra Luna Classic on: January 24, 2023, 04:58:04 PM
It's not, and it won't. There will be a lot of marketing by the team to make sure that people come back to it, so that it could revive again but as we all know it's not going to happen and it's a dream, nothing more. In reality Luna and anything related to Luna, including the classic, will not be a good project ever again. It's going to end up being as bad as it gets and it's going to cause as much trouble as it possibly could.

We just need to learn to live with the fact that it's not going to come back with any problems at all. I know it's not going to be easy, I know it's going to cause a lot of trouble to many people to face the reality, but no matter how upsetting it is, we just need to accept it.
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When was your last Royal Fush? on: January 24, 2023, 03:51:21 PM
I remember it like it was yesterday, I remember because my bluff really worked very well as well. Someone had a straight, and I had a flush, and he kept on raising the bet each turn as well, which makes sense because if you have a straight then there is a big chance that you will win, he had the same cards that I had, but different colour whereas I had the same colour, so mine was royal flush whereas his was just a straight.

This was right before the whole pandemic thing started, so it was probably early 2020 but could be very late 2019 like December at worst, but probably January 2020. I ended up profiting 41 dollars of that hand, which is a lot considering I wager with 10-20 cent blinds, I don't bet that high normally.
1715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin to give ridiculous pumping?? on: January 23, 2023, 09:44:52 PM
There will always be "some" coins that will go up like that. I am no sure which one it will be, it's very difficult to find that out, there were even other coins than doge which went up higher than doge during that period as well. And what happened?

Most of them are gone right now, which is why it's quite important to remember that you will probably not end up with a coin that will be that high, it's going to be near impossible to find things that go up 100x and you will need to learn how to be happy with 10x, which is a lot but people seem to be not so happy about it if they have to wait 4-5 years for that 10x and yet if they do 10x every 5 years, that's a lot of money.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: January 23, 2023, 09:34:08 PM
They are good enough as a team even without Ronaldo, they were leading the league before he came along, I am not expecting him to be that much of a difference if you ask me in the result department. I am not saying he will be bad, of course Ronaldo will be a great player for them, and I think he is going to learn to play with his teammates and how they play and they are going to win the title with the help of Ronaldo for sure, I see them as inevitable champions.

What I am just trying to explain is that, if they didn't get Ronaldo, they would still win it no matter what, they would still be champions even without him, which is why I think they didn't get Ronaldo for success, they got him for PR.
1717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you into crypto at the moment? on: January 23, 2023, 08:16:29 PM
I have to say it is my work mainly, but it was always a distrust to government. I mean no person in the world likes their government 100%, even if you voted for your president, you think they could have done a better job at certain things and because of that not everyone trusts them and yet for some reason people still use their money.

I, on the other hand, use crypto which is a lot better because it is not tied to any government, and even though the price can change because of governments, bitcoin itself won't change and that's why it's a lot harder for anyone to ruin it. Fiat could be ruined overnight with a decision from the government, but crypto doesn't have that because nobody controls it.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 22, 2023, 07:10:10 PM
I am sorry if this sounds a little bit harsh, but Marco Reus can't provide anything to United at age 33. He was a good player back in the day there is no doubt about that, but United already has a good roster right now, and the only position they need is a striker.

If they could get a superstar there, then they do not need any more players at all, from the other 10 players on the field to even bench players, they are all perfect and should be fighting for a title if they keep this up, I mean if they started the season better, they would have been fighting against Arsenal right now, that bad start caused them to be not fighting for a title, so a striker and they could be fighting for a title next year for sure.
1719  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 22, 2023, 03:35:32 PM
Napoli got yet another win, I mean it was against a smaller club so it's understandable, but it's a win nevertheless. They are looking like the inevitable champions one way or another and I think it's going to end up with something much bigger with the scudderia or whatever it's called there, basically double.

They just have such a great chance to win. Juventus and that whole 15 point deal was a bad one, I am very sad to learn that, I honesty believe that it shouldn't have been a punishment like this, maybe like no new transfers until the fake number is closed by selling their players, if they lied 10-20 million dollars, just get them to sell that much amount players before they can transfer again, 15 points is too much, this will cause them to miss UCL for sure and that is a ton of money.
1720  Economy / Economics / Re: how to overcome inflation for the community on: January 21, 2023, 04:11:05 PM
I would say as a community, selling something to other nations is the number one key to fixing all of this. How do you do that? Well you invest hardcore towards R&D which would be a lot better and I would guess that if you could come up with something that has a high value then you would be able to make a lot of money. Why do you think that here is a good amount of money to be made by Americans?

Because, they end up selling a lot of things to the whole world, and I believe that we are not going to have that easily, it's going to end up being a very tough road and will take a while, but if you can do that, it will make a lot more money and would help you during bad times.
