701  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: blockchain.com hacked. I need a bit of light shared please on: May 06, 2021, 01:42:18 PM
Probably someone got your recovery seed without you knowing, but there should be an email notification you will receive after a transfer on your blockchain account. If you will check the web wallet board you'll find that most of the complains are blockchain.com users.

With that amount probably I'll check that account every single day, and on april 14th I should knew that someone got accessed my wallet and should transfer the remaining funds.

A thousand worth question, is why you use this (blockchain.com) worst wallet while there are many secured and trusted wallet like electrum, and with that amount, I'll use a hardware wallet.

I feel sorry for you and that amount cannot be recovered.
702  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: bitcoin for cash on: May 05, 2021, 07:22:56 PM
I bet currency exchange is the best place where you can find someone on such deal, you can move this thread instead. Since its a meetup transaction better do it near in the police station or inside a establishment for security reasons.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: May 04, 2021, 07:19:48 PM
Yeah stacking sats is the best option for those who does not have luxury to buy a whole bitcoin, half or a quarter of it.

Any investment towards bitcoin (holding) will not be a waste in the long term considering you will have kids 5-10 years from now assuming you're just on your 20s having thoughts of having kids.

It will not be a waste only if you
- still live
- successfully give them the private keys or transfer funds to your kids at their teen age or somewhere that already knew the tech
- your backup/private keys/seeds are still with you, in short your device wasn't hacked or stolen or similar.
704  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: New tricks of fake Elon Musk's Twitter giveaway! on: May 02, 2021, 10:15:20 PM
Yeah, found something like that its the whole page copied just like static twitter website/page.

And the most alarming is that there are still people who are probably new to this and got lured and scammed, I saw some tweets/replies below the scammers' tweet saying that they sent already, posting the txid which is really real and some are complaining that they're waiting for several minutes already without getting paid **facepalm**
705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: travelling internationally with a hard wallet on: May 02, 2021, 09:49:49 PM
Well, I don't see any danger there --hardware wallet is just like a USB stick that no one will be suspected that it is a bitcoin wallet.
Okay, let say, the customs are aware of it and in the airport, they are going to confiscate it. But you can still recover your bitcoin from another wallet, just simply recover it from the seeds that you have saved.
Why bringing it if you knew that the hw will be confiscated on the airport, though you can buy it only for +70$ as ledger nano s. I know I can still recover it but I would not waste my money for such reason, I'd better use mobile wallet with smaller amount just enough for what I need when I arrive on the particular place I want to travel.
706  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Need gcash, i pay btc in your coins.ph wallet + extra on: May 02, 2021, 09:11:32 PM
Do you mind describing more regarding on what you're trying to do with gcash? So that it will be answered if someone had an experience already with the one you want to try.
707  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are Bitcoin mixers, and why do exchanges ban them? on: May 02, 2021, 08:56:31 PM
Any exchange that asks KYC is regulated and have aml and kyc compliance on the country they are residing in.

The primary use of mixers is to hide your privacy and the coins sources. If the deposited fund is detected that it came from a mixer, then it will be flagged for anti money laundering, so either the exchange account will be suspended, asked kyc or some docs, or refund your money and banned on the platform for good.
708  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not yet at $100k, why? on: May 02, 2021, 08:41:41 PM
100k is too soon for 2nd and 3rd quarter, we might see it on last quarter if huge companies like amazon, google and apple will follow the path of tesla, buying/investing bitcoin. Look what tesla did, they just gain profit 4th of their total profit in just 2 months lol, I say its very good move though the price crumble to 49k~ish but its recovered now and with resistance in 55k.

Wait 1 more year for 100k/btc, it will be reached soon
709  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Xapo Wallet on: May 02, 2021, 08:22:07 PM
I stopped using their services since the date they updated their privacy policy and introduced the kyc requirement besides blocking some countries.
I might be wrong but I think there aren't many users who are still interested in their services.
They become obsolete after that update they implement, it's nonsense, transitioning from a normal web wallet to kyc required wallet. It could be reasonable if they are an exchange that has large volume of trades but its not. Also the issues and complains are rampant, some asked kyc and complied, then closed their accounts.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most awful Shitcoin on: May 02, 2021, 07:14:16 PM
There are too many, listing them 1 by 1 is a waste of time. From ICO to STO, then Defi. While on IEO the only thing seems better and legit are those held on large exchange such binance and kucoin, the rest are all shits. And include all the fork of bitcoin lol.
711  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: What do you do with the Hardware Wallet Box? on: May 02, 2021, 07:01:41 PM
I didn't thought that the box would be a much of important in regards of security, though I kept mine. No plan of disposing it actually.

Though I don't have vault to secure the hw I feel its secured on the house, and would cant be found so easily.
712  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: New Ledger phishing mail targets individual users on: May 02, 2021, 06:17:50 PM
What i do know is my email when i put it on that site of haveibeenpwned.com does show yes though.

But of course im not sure putting my ledger email in that site is thus safe etc.

So i guess if you didn't get that specific email message of you need to download ledger live and update it... then most likely your are fine?  Now anyone here get any spam to phone number though?  Since its been said phone number could be leaked?
If it showed "Oh no — pwned!" then most probably your email was used to register on some websites that has been breached before and was recorded on haveibeenpwned database or sources.

What you should avoid is clicking any links sent to you, especially messages on your spam folder.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uzbekistan legalizes cryptocurrency transactions on: May 02, 2021, 05:37:17 PM
Though there are lesser volume of the uzbek users here yet, that's good news, Let's just not hope that this will not be the same on india's crypto regulation.
714  Economy / Exchanges / Re: buying bitcoin on bisq p2p with interac e - transfer on: May 02, 2021, 04:11:26 PM
As stated above, there's no way your bank will know especially if you buy in p2p transactions.

Do they ever get suspicious if you have many, like 5  $1000 or so dollar tranfers every month? Should I avoid a certain level of money per transfer? Also are there alternative methods for canadians to pay for bitcoin on bisq?
There are chances that you will be asked if your transaction amounts dramatically increase as your account changes activity from previous activities, but I guess that's rare cases not unless your bank is strict in anyways.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government ban on crypto on: May 02, 2021, 03:59:26 PM
I think the government can only ban bitcoin adopters in their country but they can't stop bitcoin because bitcoin is a virtual currency that runs on its own with the internet network, so this is of course impossible for the government because the only way that can stop the circulation of bitcoin they have to close the entire internet network in every country.
Of course, they can't control people's action outside their jurisdiction, even on their own country, there are still people who will still use bitcoin/crypto regardless the acceptance/law against crypto of the government.
716  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: The trxcoin website. on: May 02, 2021, 02:54:23 PM
Why you ask? Is there any reason for you to believe such offer? And send almost 2k USD to random new website and believe that you will receive doubled? Com'on.

Before sending, you should ask first if who are these people and what are their intentions why they're so generous to double your money. lol
717  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Unconfirmed TSX disappeared. on: May 02, 2021, 02:27:03 PM
An update. Have been checking mempool/space frequently for two weeks and watching the sats/vbyte rate dropping. 11.34 BST today the tx received a timestamp and now has 5 confirmations. Tx has taken 16 days due to me setting a low fee rate.

Lesson for me - check current average fee rates before doing a tx.

Eddy
Also, next time, if you think that your transaction is taking so much time to confirmed, you can try to rebroadcast it to the network once a day, there are lots of free service/website offer such feature.

718  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Agriculture on: May 02, 2021, 01:06:17 PM
how can i use bitcoin to improve my plantation farm? Does it mean farmers cannot use bitcoin to improve their peasant or plantation farm?
You can only do is to accept bitcoin as one of your payment in your farm. As bitcoin is just a way for investment, nothing more. Related to your plantation, if you can find clients to accept bitcoin you can do it as well or just convert it to fiat.

Bitcoin or Blockchain can't solve every problem in this world though.
719  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Is there an social media account for feedback about campaign/companies? on: May 01, 2021, 08:34:11 PM
If related ito sa bounty/signature campaign, parang walang website na ganun or socmed group, kung gusto mo mag discuss related sa campaign, you can create a topic sa service discussion or dito sa local forum para mabasa mo experience at knowledge ng iba.

Related naman sa group page maybe fb page or group yan, okay yan as long na di bias ang review ng mga nag ha'handle ng page, baka gawing promotion for selected projects at bayad kaya bias.

Sa fb group naman, alam ko marami ang ganyan, nangaling din ako dyan, pinoy bitcoin yun, not so sure if active pa sila now or same name pa din, matandang babae ang isa sa admin dun, admin din sa PHU, basta may mag tanong related sa crypto or dito sa forum, marami namang sumasagot, but that was before na uso pa ang mga fb groups di ko lang alam sa ngayon.
720  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Wow] Restaurant now accepting All major crypto for payments on: May 01, 2021, 07:52:21 PM
