721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and gambling which one has done you more harm on: October 01, 2023, 11:00:19 AM
(...)
But for me I think gambling is the one that done people more harm than bitcoins investment, because almost every day people gamble with different platforms but its few of people that invest in a day or weekly, I will like us to discuss these.
Of course! Bitcoin is really far on gambling. Like in Bitcoin investment, it's not only by luck and take note that to have a successful investment, you really need to learn, research the market, and control your emotions.
While most gambling, you can just easily bet and you will just base by luck, that's all.
722  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Basic indicator that are very helpful and you may don't know yet... on: September 29, 2023, 12:17:53 AM
Key note: Just because it is listed does mean you should use it all. All have their purpose and you can just use what resonates with your strategy whether you are a short-term or swing trader. You can just use EMA for signals and confirm it with buy/sell of MACD. The most important is you have a sample data that you're strategy is working and backtested.
Exactly, using these basic indicators is already good, no need to use multiple indicators that the purpose or goal is the same. Some indicators these days are based on core indicators or basic indicators, so it's already fine to use these core indicators as it will also help you to understand the indicators from the basic.
723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop Trading on: September 29, 2023, 12:16:12 AM
It is not a must to take every trade and it is not a must to trade. Have you experience difficulty in the Financial Market or disappointment that affected your well being. Stated below are some essential things you need to look out for once you noticed them please stay off the market.
(....)
In short, not all of the time is good to trade. It doesn't mean that you close your long position, yo can already open a short position, but that is not how trading works.
For me, there are lot of trade opportunities coming always, so waiting for perfect moment or almost perfect is always better because  your funds is protected, capital preservation.
724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you on guard for any unexpected? on: September 29, 2023, 12:14:06 AM
But what if, we are caught off guard by the market at this snapshot point with another unexpected long dip again whereas we're expecting a little more pump in October?

Are you on guard for any unexpected?
If you are trading at these current price levels. You must always be on guard because volatility is high, expect a  lot of candlestick wicks, green or red.
Also, be careful of setting your stop losses because it could be just hunted. Just don't forget to use stop losses, it is really important to be on guard and it will help you to protect your funds.
725  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade only Bitcoin on: September 29, 2023, 12:10:37 AM
(......)
Bitcoin doesn't just give you profit, it gives you security, it obeys market structure, for the past 2yrs I have been trading, I only have losess only when I trading Alt, price action trading I utilize will trading always gives me result when trading Bitcoin, but when it comes to Alt I really do feel as if am gambling, so my fellow traders, trade only Bitcoin, I don't know if anyone feel the same way?
It is clear because most of the altcoins just correlate with Bitcoin. That's why the trading volume on Bitcoin is extremely high it is the only trading pair right now that trading volume is high versus other altcoins.
Some whales also mostly trade only Bitcoin pairs.
726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the feature of Bitcoin? on: September 29, 2023, 12:06:31 AM
What do you think about what is the feature of Bitcoin, can Bitcoin touch $50,000 in 2025? I think that Bitcoin will go to $50,000 but not in 2025, maybe in 2026.
I believe yes. $50,000 is below our current all-time high. So it is really possible. I am expecting a new all-time high before the next Bitcoin block halving, or the year after the Bitcoin block halving.
I'm glad to see some realistic price target these days, which I am more convinced.
727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Starknet Airdrop Speculation on: September 29, 2023, 12:01:55 AM
1. Number of transactions(Number of months/weeks/days)
2. Total Volume(Bridge/ swap)
3. LP Value
4. Wallet balance
5. Number of contracts
6. Starknet ID(Optional)
I am really hoping they will do what Arbitrum did, and also consider Sybil's addresses and this time they will become more strict or able to identify a lot of addresses that are just farming or abusing any airdrop just in case they have any.
From what I can see now, airdrop on new chains seems very overrated already.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cryptocurrency illegal in some countries? on: September 28, 2023, 11:59:17 PM
You can ask the president of those countries, not users in this forum. Tongue

Since I'm not one of the president in those countries, my assumption is centralized entity don't want to let their citizen to use Bitcoin to evade tax or safe/invest that related to centralization e.g. fiat, stock, gold, real estate.
Reasons could be generic here, we can say it could be because of the common problem of using cryptocurrency, like lack of regulation and money laundering or terrorism financing, or another country just wants to protect their people because we all know scams and frauds using cryptocurrency is very high.
729  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are the benefits of combining fundamental and technical analysis? on: September 27, 2023, 01:47:02 AM
Confirmation and pretty much only that. and also gives me confidence when I see good news on the fundamental analysis while on the technical side is the price tries to breakout the resistance zone or the price near the support zone.

and basically just like you have said. Sometimes long term holder also looking for news first and then entry at the technical side.
Exactly, it will help you to validate your analyze. Like for example, in fundamental analysis, it's good, it's somehow good news or good to enter.
But once you do the technical analysis side, it is not fine, like it is really showing bearish or not good to enter, like not yet a good time to enter. That's what I can see about combining fundamental and technical analysis.
730  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DCA on a real account: does it work? on: September 27, 2023, 01:35:35 AM
1 year ago btc was worth about 18k usd  and now it is above 26.
That's is about 50% up.

Whatever you did  you would have made a lot of money just by buying btc. It is easy to trade when the market makes 50%+ in a year.
(....)

The only challenge with buying the dip, it's usually so hard to know the bottom until it's too late.
Very well said.
That's why DCA is really effective especially if you are a busy person and don't have time to do some analysis to identify the bottom or let's say you are really not a technical guy to deep dive into some analysis, DCA is your friend. Just be consistent.
731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Halving cycle on: September 27, 2023, 01:32:38 AM
The most awaited event right now. If you really deep dive into the history of past Bitcoin block halvings, you will see that it clearly shows that the price of Bitcoin will be somehow above the lows months before the block halvings. As months before the Bitcoin block halvings is the best time to accumulate Bitcoin, just my 2 cents.
732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if your country did not legalize cryptocurrency? on: September 27, 2023, 01:19:39 AM
(....)
Yet in some countries it is completely illegal. What will you do if you are a fan of bitcoin but your country did not legalize cryptocurrency?
This is a sad truth, we can force anyone to use Bitcoin just like we can't force some governments to legalize cryptocurrency in their jurisdiction.
What we can do to help Bitcoin and it's community is just continue to use it and spread good words about cryptocurrency without breaking such rules, so you need to understand the rules/regulations of your country before doing it so you are sure you are not breaking any law.
733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MicroStrategy Bought More BTC on: September 26, 2023, 02:13:01 AM
Just reminding that these news should not be considered as a buying signal. Historically, BTC pretty often is going lower soon after massive Microstrategy purchase. It have pretty much no impact on the price in the momentum and only indicates that one of the major whales is becoming  bigger.
Agree, there was a meme I saw before about Microstrategy and this Bitcoin buying, every time they announce to the public that they bought Bitcoin, they are immediately under water from the price they bought.
But for me, it is not really important, is the average buying price will matter, as we all know Microstrategy is one of public company buying Bitcoin during early days and frequently.
734  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the bull-run plan. on: September 26, 2023, 02:10:49 AM
Historical Precedent: From past occurrences,  Bitcoin has experienced significant price rallies following previous halvings, which in itself is very logical. When the supply gets reduced more attention will be drawn to the asset which could load to higher prices but using past performance to predict future result might not be positive all the time.
I am really expecting this. Because history is already the truth-teller, if you take a look in the past block halvings and price action of Bitcoin, you can see the pattern here, before block halving we see the price of Bitcoin rally.
But I am afraid this time that we need to consider a lot of things, like external factors, volume, traders, adoption, regulatory, etc.
735  Economy / Speculation / Re: Share your opinion on the market. on: September 26, 2023, 02:08:16 AM
Now there is news that microstrategy has bought some bitcoins again. Strangely enough, but usually after such news there is a drop in price. I don't know if we should expect a repeat of this story now, but it seems to me that we will see a fall ahead one way or another. There will be a halving soon and people will need to be scared to buy coins as cheaply as possible.
Because of a strong US dollar it seems that many currencies are losing value in comparison. Bitcoin was down but only slightly after the news of MicroStrategy's purchase. Bitcoin having low volatility is a positive sign. Despite bearishness in the stock market, Bitcoin has not moved much since starting the month at nearly $26k. Many people are refusing to sell due to their expectations for the halving and a potential ETF approval.
Like a normal Bitcoin winter market. As you can see we are already in sideways for months and that is also what I expected. For me our price right now is healthy, the market is healthy, no huge pump or dump, like some candlewicks. It just shows that everything is organic.
For me, the exciting part will be in the first months of the year 2024, as Bitcoin block halving will happen in year 2024.
736  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 25, 2023, 02:08:54 AM
If someone invest small amount of money in Bitcoin because of curiosity, it's completely fine.

But if someone invest small amount of money in Bitcoin because the believe Bitcoin price will increase 10,000x in the next few years, it just a dream and they should learn how to make more money, not by investing in Bitcoin.
And from what I observed some newbies are investing small or big in Bitcoin without any knowledge or without even trying to learn the basics of Bitcoin like understanding how Bitcoin works.
It's a very no-no for me, even how big or small your investment is and without proper education or learning, it's overall bad.
737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see any value in move to earn crypto projects? on: September 25, 2023, 02:04:24 AM
There are some move to earn projects like stepn, stepapp etc . Do you see any value in them or it is just a death spiral?
No use case for me at all, it is not solving any problem. Just incase any of these tokens will pump for sure it is only because of manipulation.
And another thing is I really don't think they need a cryptocurrency for it, because no use case at all. These projects could be only next  scams just like others.
738  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: chart reading and prediction on: September 25, 2023, 01:32:25 AM
everyone on twitter, insta reel and youtube is making prediction related to different cryptos based on chart lines. Do you still believe these chart reading?
To be honest, I believe more in people who are doing charts or technical analysis than telling it randomly without basis or proof. Some are also using fundamental analysis which is not really bad but I am more into technical.
So for me,  it's fine and I can believe on it.
739  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: KYC matter? on: September 25, 2023, 01:30:47 AM
What are the repercussions of failing to complete KYC on an exchange?
KYC does matter in my case. To me KYC seems like a hassle process Because I feel embarrassed to present personal data to anyone else.
So when I am going to exchange my fund then I am seeking for those exchangers who don't asked for KYC verification.
However, the exchangers say that as aml (anti-money laundering) they keep these know-your-customer(KYC) terms. But I think it's wisest to keep your data safe so you can use trusted exchangers that don't require kyc verification. These exchangers can seize funds for your kyc verification at any time.
These days, most of the exchanges especially reputable or popular ones already have and it is really required. I agree with you that it is being hassle and embarrassing to share your personal information with a centralized exchange, like you already trust your funds to them, and at the same time your personal information also which is also really important and sensitive.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is life on: September 25, 2023, 01:27:52 AM
I see a lot of people here comparing gambling games to bitcoins I think those who do this are mentally ill because bitcoin is recognized as the best coin in the world and we see everyone's future in bitcoin and bitcoin price is so low now that's why we  Let's all buy Bitcoin now and it will be very beneficial for our future.
(....)
It's because people always believe that no one knows what will be the price of Bitcoin in the future, which is really true. But they must not say it is gambling because there are a lot of ways how to able to invest in Bitcoin wisely, like using some analysis, and techniques on how to position properly.
