761  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your solution to pay less Fee ? on: November 20, 2023, 05:40:14 PM
Yes, my suggestion applies for a daily basis, not for particularly one on-chain transaction. If you make on average 5-10 Bitcoin transactions a month, then it's better to open a channel and not worry about network congestion.

Yeah, I agree but the problem is if you have an open channel the size of your funds is fixed you can't just add or deposit more funds in your open channel you will need to close and open the channel to merge your current on-chain funds to your lightning funds that will cost on-chain fees.
This would be costly for a one-time transaction but good for multiple small lightning transactions.
762  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Sparrow wallet on: November 20, 2023, 05:00:18 PM
Sparrow Wallet only asks for a passphrase twice once you've done that it should not ask again for the passphrase.

It would have been a good thing for some users because if you enter the wrong passphrase, the wallet will open with the keys of the wrong passphrase, but annoying for me because I did not requested for the extra security.

If you didn't add this passphrase you might accidentally add a passphrase during importing/generating the BIP39 seed on Sparrow take note that space(whitespaces) is considered a character and you might accidentally tap the space bar on your keyboard.

If I'm right then you can re-import your seed backup and leave the passphrase empty make sure no extra spaces on that box and then just add a password after you apply.
763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to buy Bitcoin in the Czech Republic? on: November 19, 2023, 11:58:59 PM
I tried to search for what exchange that supports Czech currency to buy BTC but Google didn't point me to any well-known exchange.

Anyway, If you don't want to buy BTC on the centralized exchange you can use a P2P exchange like Bisq or find another P2P exchange from this link below.

764  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how can i change the fees from a signed and sent transaction ? on: November 19, 2023, 10:31:13 PM
Thank you for your answer guys. Actually what i'am using is https://docs.rs/bitcoin/latest/bitcoin/ but i'm open to another libs or tools if possible.

What exactly do you want to achieve? The link you provided is a rust library for Bitcoin.
Are you planning to develop a tool that can manually recreate transactions and change the fees?

Here's another tool to rebuild a transaction if you are planning to change your address or change the transaction fees then this tool below would work. Just make sure you download the page and make a copy of this on the offline machine to sign a transaction and only broadcast the transaction on an online device.

765  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can you help me locate a wallet with knowing my ip address? on: November 19, 2023, 09:48:56 PM
It seems you thinking about online attacks that can compromise and remote your device.
If someone knows your public IP there is a chance that they can hack and locate your wallet only if they find open ports in your IP. That is why it is always recommended if you want to store BTC in your wallet for long-term storage then make an offline/cold wallet in a device with no internet or never connect it online.
766  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your solution to pay less Fee ? on: November 19, 2023, 09:33:55 PM
- Open a lightning channel.
- Swap your bitcoin for a widely adopted altcoin like litecoin, and once this Ordinal spam ends, return back.

That's all. You can't do anything to enjoy less fees on-chain. There's this law of demand and supply regarding the block space which pulls us all back.

But you'll still need to pay for on-chain fees when you open a channel.
If he wants to pay less tx fee then he needs to follow the recommended fee(low priority) from mempool.space or the other solution he should use a ViaBTC as suggested by others but he needs to follow the recommended transaction size and fee rate from ViaBTC to be able to use their free service.
767  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now buy and hold the bitcoin is profitable on: November 19, 2023, 12:55:07 PM
What exactly idea you need about Bitcoin?

Here are 3 things that came to my mind.
1.) You mean you are planning to buy but you don't know where to buy?
2.) Do you want to know if this is the right time to buy?
3.) Do you just want to know more about Bitcoin?

Here's my answer to them.
1.] You have two options where to buy either P2P exchange or centralized exchange. If you're fine passing the KYC you can buy BTC in centralized exchange.
If not and don't want to submit any documentation then P2P exchange is your option you can check the list of P2P exchanges here https://kycnot.me/

2.] Since there is an upcoming event for Bitcoin then yes. It is about block halving meaning once the event come the supply will be cut into half from 6.25BTC to 3.125BTC most trader and people here knows this every block halving the price of Bitcoin skyrocket. So you're not late yet to buy Bitcoin.

3.] I suggest check the Bitcoin price history and history of Bitcoin here below.

768  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best exchange to start trading? on: November 18, 2023, 11:58:15 PM
Do you mind to tell us what 2 altcoins you want to trade?
So that we can find the right exchange that supports these two coins.

Or search for the coins you want here https://www.coingecko.com/ and then check the coin and what exchange supports it.
769  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: How to downgrade the firmware of an S19 control board? on: November 18, 2023, 11:51:39 PM
The standard process for downgrading firmware involves accessing the control boards interface, usually via a web interface or direct connection and then using the firmware update mechanism to load the older version.
Before attempting any firmware changes make sure to back up any important data and settings from your S19 control board.

I don't think you can able to do that since the upgrade firmware on the WebGUI is for upgrading the unit to latest firmware downgrading won't work in the web interface.
If you upgrade it with different firmware or a lower version you might get some error like "Can't find signature" You can only bypass this error if you flash the control board through an SD card/OTG.
770  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Account Frozen Due to Suspicion of Money Laundering on: November 18, 2023, 11:20:20 PM
Can you share with us more information on how you deposited the $74k amount to your Bitmart account or where it came from?

After a bit of research, you can buy BTC using Paypal through Paxful I think you might be dealing with someone outside Bitmart and this guy paid you through PayPal now this guy triggered the chargeback of the paid amount to you, and then after you tried to withdraw $4k. That is why BitMart asks you to deposit an equivalent amount to be able to withdraw.

Or possibly if you use a bank to deposit maybe the bank made a chargeback?
771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Is the transfer transaction confirmed within 1 year? on: November 18, 2023, 12:06:19 AM
Actually, it is already dropped by the mempool I can't see the transaction he made on block hair so my guess is this transaction is already rejected by the mempool.

@OP check your wallet again you might be able to create a new transaction but the problem is this is not the right time to send a very small amount, the network is still congested you might need to wait for a few days until the current recommended fee drops.
772  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet help on: November 17, 2023, 11:41:27 PM

Yeah this is the exact thing I have and my transactions say unconfirmed now the yellow sign. So do I just wait then? My network circle is green

Can you tell us all unconfirmed transactions if how much fee you set?
If these transactions at least have 0.5 KB below and the fee you set is 0.0001 BTC/KB above you might be able to accelerate the transaction through ViaBTC.

I suggest try to submit all of the unconfirmed transactions on this accelerator below.

773  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S19 90TH - BraiinOS overclock on: November 17, 2023, 11:26:01 PM
Thanks for answers. At stock firmware working temperature was 70*C. In braiin OS my miner is taged as "Antminer S19J88". Is 70*C really hot temperature for this model? Where can I find documentation exacly for this model?

In Google when i type "Antminer S19J88" I see nothing Sad

Bitmain have product manual but documentation for this unit if you buy it directly from bitmain you can request or email them for documentation.

Here's the product manual https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/900000253543-ANTMINER-S19-

For all Bitmain units normal operating temp check this link below.

774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck in mempool @ 17.9 for 2 weeks on: November 17, 2023, 12:07:15 AM
I tried to check the TXID you provided above the transaction was made 2 weeks ago and the transaction was already rejected by other nodes so you should be able to recreate a new transaction I don't think CPFP will work you need to contact the sender Mia if the sent amount is already rejected or if it's funded back to her account. Ask her to make a new transaction once again with enough fee if it was already rejected.

If this transaction is broadcasted again then you will need to wait again for 2 weeks until the transaction is rejected again by the mempool because the fee used in this transaction is around 17sat/vB which is far from the current recommended fee by mempool.space. However, you can do what hosseinimr93 suggested above if you have full control of your wallet but if it is also an exchange then you don't have any other choice but to wait again for 2 weeks
775  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet help on: November 16, 2023, 10:59:32 PM
So you have multiple transactions your first transaction you made should be the parent transaction if it is confirmed as you said 2 days ago but not for child transactions the balance will still shows a red circle.
Actually, the red dot you mean under balance is a pie chart meaning all your current balances are still unconfirmed and it is still on the mempool because you made multiple transactions even though the parent was confirmed but child transactions are not yet confirmed the pie chart will show red because when making a transaction all balance will be also processed in the transaction and sent to the change address or back to your wallet address.

Look at this image is this what you talking about? Or are you talking about a red circle for the network?

A similar case was posted on Electrum Reddit check this link below.

776  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How can I use multisig future in my new bitcoin online exchange on: November 15, 2023, 11:02:50 PM
I think this is not the right place to post this thread since your project is still under development it should be moved to Project Development.
I don't get your point on what do you plan about your Bitcoin online exchange.

I think you don't understand how exactly Multisig works I suggest read this link below it includes some samples to easily understand how it works.

You may also need this guide Bitcoin core Multisig guide.

About your 2nd question, it seems it's not safe it might expose your private key, the program/website that you developing should be separated from the Bitcoin core. If you want your software/website to interact with your Bitcoin node you will need to enable RPC and to secure the data sent/received you need to enable SSL encryption for your RPC API.

About all Bitcoin development, guides and tools please check this link below.

777  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Error 505x or 901 on 2 PSU whatsminers on: November 15, 2023, 07:59:28 PM
According to the site below the 901 power rate error is normal when an additional power supply is connected.
And about the 505x error, I can't find any source about what is this error.

- bixbit.io/en/documentation/connecting-an-additional-variable-power-supply-unit/6-example-of-m30s-v70-miner-25-overclocking

Why not, try to ask for some help from the site above or try contacting ZeusBTC as they also have overclocked firmware for the WhatsMiner m30 unit?
778  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S19 90TH - BraiinOS overclock on: November 15, 2023, 07:41:27 PM
The safe way to overclock the s19 miner with BraiinsOS is to properly configure the dynamic performance scaling including the dangerous temp because it automatically stops the mining process once the dangerous temp is reached, it can save your unit from overheating and instead of manually set the target power as suggested above DPS feature should able to help you to slowly decrease the power when the unit is under hot temperature.

So you need to set the temp properly based on the Bitmain documentation the PCB max temp for s19 is 80c you can set the dangerous temp to 75c and hot temp is 70c or below.

Check this guide below on how to properly set up DPS.

779  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Lost password for elecrum on: November 15, 2023, 01:09:47 PM
I think you can still able to revive your SSD if it is just corrupted or undetectable you can try the power cycle method because SSD has a self-repair feature to fix corrupted and undetectable issue. Check the guide here
I have experience with my Samsung SSD before it was undetectable on Windows even on the BIOS I just repaired the SSD through the power cycle method.
So try this it might be also work in your SSD if it does not work try to resolder the SSD terminals.

If it still does not work you don't have any other choice but to use the service provided above or brute-force the wallet file using the BTCrecovery tool.
780  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance, one of the most terrible exchanges on: November 15, 2023, 12:36:26 PM
I have a similar situation but not in filecoin and future trading in my experience I did deposit BTC and ETH even after the block confirmation is reached you can't transfer the wallet funds from the spot wallet to the funding wallet it shows an error saying that the funds temporary frozen/locked and unable to transfer the funds because the deposited BTC/ETH did not reach the required block confirmation it says something like that.

However, the Bitcoin I deposited can be traded on their spot exchange when reach 1 Confirmation and can transfer the funds after 3 confirmations.
So I think the required confirmation is only for spot wallet but for other services like P2P and future trading requires more block confirmation.

I can't seem to find any announcement about this except this old announcement.
