801  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 27, 2014, 03:53:51 PM
I'd like to suggest a "stay logged in" option on he login page for the site. At least something that keeps you logged in for 24hrs.

I know it's no a big thing and there's no rush on it but it would be nice to have, Ty.

Also, I noticed a dip in the last I think 2-3 payments and none of my miners went to backups so no issues there. Anyone else notice this ?

Same here...small dip but noticeable nonetheless.
Hope s0br or someone can explain it.

803  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: M's Ant (S1/S2/S3) Monitor v3.1: alerts, auto reboot, S2 shutdown, mass reboots on: August 27, 2014, 02:51:28 PM
Ok, so I get alert popups now. Still no highlighting, stale shows 0. Not sure if thatcs good or a glitch lol.

-- Highlighting actually does work but only if have the H figure shown. Can we maybe have the highlight apply to the normal dual figure *like temp) field if the H figure it set to not show ?

ACount is 1 on two of four machines, not sure what ACount is.

Name of the devices still show as S3:1.2.3.4:5678/cgi-bin/etc. etc. etc.

I assume it should just be S3:1.2.3.4:5678, doesn't make sense to have all the other trailing stuff.

The auto scroll to the bottom of the log also works BTW, so thumbs up there.

Lastly... same as before. When the app is exited, all devices but one get erased ;-/

Edit: Whats the UUU in pools mean ?

I don't get the name thing.  It shows up properly for me.  Where are you seeing it?

Saving isn't working yet when you have the same IP for everything.

As for the column names, see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=596178.msg6548589#msg6548589

On the main "page" where all the stats are seen.

Maybe it's a web scraping thing but it shows the full link crap.
804  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Overclocking a Dragon ? on: August 27, 2014, 04:27:48 AM
If you have 1T Dragons with 5 modules with 8 chips per module for a total of 40 chips, then you can slight OC your Dragon.
If you have 1T Dragons with 4 modules with 8 chips per module for a total of 32 chips, do not even think about OC, because they are already OC.

The A1 chip is a very competent chip, it can run in power safe mode, normal mode and turbo mode.
The new 1.4-1.5 T Dragons use more chips and run in power saving mode.

If your 1T Dragon has 32 chip, it can't be OC anymore, there is no room left for that, however you can run them slower to make it more power efficient, you only need to change 2 files in the firmware, but that is not what you want.
Mine only have four boards it seems each doing 255 some a bit less. Can you link me to someone selling one of the new 1.4/1.5's so I can check em out ?

Thx.

Here's version 3.1.  Mostly fixes on the web scraping side, but there are some tweaks for API users.

v3.1
- Changed the frequency display to show the decimal value instead of rounding.
- Changed the S3 JSON fix to also work if it happens to be marked as an S1.
- Hopefully fixed the problem with an error being thrown on the display grid if you're not using the API.
- Added difficulty (from all 3 pools), reject%, and stale% to the Web scraping routine.
- Changed the Stale % for the API to be calculated, as the value from the API seems to always be zero.
- Changed the log for Web "ant responded" to show the short Ant name instead of the full URL.
- Hopefully changed the log to properly autoscroll to the end of the log so you don't have to.
- Fixed a potential problem that could cause alerts not to trigger when using the Web scraping routines.

Whats the UUU in pools mean ?

I believe the UUU represent the three pools you have set up, either they are UP, or DEAD
That's what I was thinking but figured I'd still ask.
806  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 27, 2014, 04:05:43 AM
All my miners are showing 3333/3334 west1 as dead and are on my backup pools.
807  Bitcoin / Hardware / Overclocking a Dragon ? on: August 27, 2014, 03:15:46 AM
Ok, so I have three 1Th Dragons I got from MinerSource some time back. I was wondering if they can be overclocked and by how much without the need to upgrade the PSU which if I recall is supposed to be stock at 1k WATTS.

Ty.

Edit: If OC'ing them is possible I would also need detailed instructions on how to do it which I assume will be through SSH. So I''d also need the SSH credentials.

809  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: August 26, 2014, 06:10:44 PM
Does anybody know - the Armory will have BIP0032 or BIP0044 compatible wallet in future versions?

I prefer BIP44 because i think this standard is more flexy than BIP32. And some devices supports it - the Trezor for example.
It's will be important when i will want to keep the seed - the seed of BIP44 will different from BIP32 as i understand
I assume the 32 is the blockchain type wallet I was asking about ?
810  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: August 26, 2014, 02:51:05 PM
Was wondering if I can still please get an answer on this, Ty.

Is there a way to ad a watch only wallet that I got from the blokchain.info site ?

AFAIK, only wallets created / backed up by armory can be added.

For now, yes.
You can only import an Armory wallet (doh!) or individual private keys.
Armorys wallet formate is incompatible to the others.
Well, in fact all others are incompatible, as Armory was the first one with HD wallets.
The new wallet formate is in the works, and will use "compatible" BIP0032 too.

Ente
Ty for that. Now I just need to get a second laptop to make my offline system.
811  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: August 25, 2014, 05:34:20 PM
And I honestly would not be surprised if we see a major price drop on the S3+, or BMT pulls the line to scrap the ASICs for future products.

Word has it, and I have solid info on this... they still have 1000s in stock unreserved for B8.

They are going to have to do something with those once they stop using them for mining.

Strato
Speaking of scraping ASIC's for future products, you know what would be nice.

BMT offering a "trade in" old equipment for coupons or something without expiration to be used on future equipment. I'm sure there's thing from the S1 to the S2, even the S3 that can be re-purposed for later equipment.

I think return shipping the unit to China would make that profit prohibitive.
Shit, I didnt even consider that lol

Still something to think on though for people who save up old equipment for a rainy day or w/e.
812  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 25, 2014, 05:32:25 PM
Thx. And no harm intended by that rental question - you would not believe how many support tickets / complaints are from NiceHash and MRR rentals. Any chance you'd give west2 a shot, at least for the 3333 miners? With west1 being one of the 4 low-diff servers, it might be seeing more traffic.
Oh I know, I just think with rented equipment I'd have a higher chance of losing my shirt.

Like I said, I think it's more of a display / logging issue with constantly updating stats.

Up until last I only had one miner here and brought over my other 7 so I'll let this go for a day or two and and long as payments stays constant / made up for when missed I should be G2G.

But ya, if s0br works on logging stats an not updating then on the fly then we should see more realistic hard numbers if he has them update say once every 10 minutes.

I like to check out new pools every now & then, just to see if I'd be better off with a different one. I have a list of checks I like to go through with each one first, just to see if it matches or betters the pool I'm currently using. it goes something along the lines of:

1) Does the pool have a history of consistently not paying?.....................check
2) Does the pool claim to pay out more than it earns?..............................check
3) Does the pool have large quantities of posts from noobs all praising the pool?.............check
4) Does the "dev" frequently disappear leaving unanswered questions from users?...........check
5)...blah, blah.....etc, etc.

I'll stop there, but you get my drift. I just like to be sure before I point my hard earned hash at just any old pool. As much as I would like a chance of winning a "free" invisible S3 & chat with the many fake user account holders about how wonderful it is here while waiting for payments - I've decided to pass and use a different pool. I'm not quite sure why - I just got a funny feeling things ain't quite right here........plus the fact that my checklist was 100% fail.

I wish you luck. Think you're all gonna need it somehow  Wink
It's far from wonderful for various reasons but missed payments aside the pool hasnt cost me any lost income or anything yet. All missed payments have been made up for and s0br went as far as giving me BTC I missed out on with a server diff thing without asking for any sort of proof and my account is farrrr from fake so take my words however you like. I'm by no means a fanboy but the pool is new, imagine Bitminter, or BTCGuild in their early stages. I'm sure they had issues of their own that had people saying some of the same things about them in the beginning. Grant it maybe not as frequently but still.

Ok, so I have ~5.2 Th pointed at the pool and payouts seem ok, using Coinbase reports to do daily totals etc.

Anyway, stats seem to only be showing 4.4 - 4.6 on all the stat areas including the "pool" area where it shows me ranked 34 in terms of hash with 4.4 Th when I have ~5.2 Th.

Hey, can you tell me which server(s) you're using and how the workers are configured for your miners? IE, does each miner have a worker?
Each miner has a worker and servers are 3333 / 3334 depending on the systems hash. The stats come and go so it seems to all be there and just a display issue with how s0br has constantly updating stats instead of say running updates every 5 to 10 minute

Which servers specifically? And all your gear or anything rented?
LMAO <-- red text.

All my own equipment.

817  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Black Arrow 28nm 100Ghash Bitcoin ASIC from $0.49/GH/s on: August 25, 2014, 02:28:43 PM
What is the path of least damage at this point?

A. Take the comp ASICs and sell them (where the hell would I sell them, who would buy them?)
B. Wait and pray for BA to do something like ship the X3 and give a good scrypt miner as comp (hoping they used the x-1 x-3 to learn to do this and now at least have some clue and won't be a year late on that)
C. Ask for a refund, never get miner, never get refund (I'm assuming this is what happens if you ask for one) Any case of anyone getting a refund? I have plenty of free hours with an attorney that I can use but I don't want to blow them if "them being in china" means I'll still never get my money back.

And to think, I can remember a time when I was worried about letting BA do the 5 day hosting because the extra shipping delay might cut into my ability for ROI.

I didn't need that $5k so much then, but with things that happened since, that profit (fuck,..breaking even) and having that money would be a life changer.

(sigh)

Hope you'll get atleast something this year..

I opted for option C, bought from MS. their product was/is delayed way to far past the original communicated shipment date minersource and blackarrow is obliged to send customers a refund. They even agreed to send me a refund months ago and I'm still waiting. How both companies still exist and no one is jailed is beyond me.  Huh

Minersource do the right thing and send those refunds ASAP! You can't just keep playing with peoples money and get away with it.

Same here, waiting on a cheque Dan Murtha promised to sent on 22th of July, asked for an update after 3 weeks (now 2 weeks ago), and they will not even respond anymore besides the automated "your request has been received". Disgusting, this minersource company. Guess there's nothing left but filing at the FTC an their local attorney's office.
If you really want to start ruffling Minersoures feathers, anyone with a legitimate complaint against them should start also talking to Mircocenter General Managers. If hey want to protect that deal then the less complaints against them the better, just explain how they're (Mirocenter) is in bed with a business that handles their customers poorly and explain your situation.

Check your payout addresses! Someone has changed mine to 148z3Qq6KzSVjca8xzXPWHMPBuWm2bqEQz And stole from my BTCGuild account. They've also locked it and I can't change it back. First Lunamine and now this.  Sad
This is why I've always liked google 2FA, but eleu should be able to unlock everything for you. As for me, everything's fine here... haven't seen anything weird happen in my accounts.

TX fees are paid by the pool. count all users that get a payment every hour times a fee that has to be paid.

i can assure you that the txfee's inside a block is way less then the the paid fee for all transactions made daily.
Sorry but that doesnt answer me, at least not in a way I can understand.

Lets say a block worth 25.1024 is found, do the fees, in this case the 0.1024 go to the pools pocket, split among all users or given to the person who found the block as a "reward" ?

Some pools keep the fees, others divide it among the uses while a select few give them to the person who found the block.
