801  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Easybit ATM Locations: Prestige Vapor Lounge on: August 03, 2018, 11:05:26 PM
Is there a verification of users ID (KYC) while selling with these ATM? Because the few I saw with a 2-way ATM (in EU) we needed to provide our ID card and even take a selfie, no way to wear a balaclava since the operator is watching you lol
You serious? KYC for using an ATM.  Shocked

What have we got ourselves into... Undecided From being privacy obsessed-geek to using an ATM which requires KYC. I am better off with using Localbitcoins.
I am surprised there a lot of 2-way ATMs. Wish I could have one in my country which also doesn't require KYC or me to take a creepy selfie.  Undecided
802  Other / Meta / Re: How long have you waited to get back your hacked account? on: August 03, 2018, 10:17:12 PM
Theymos is probably overworked.  I'm sure he gives priority to users that contribute to the community.

If you have used your account every now and then for a few years, or have an account that just shitposts, don't expect him to jump to help you.
I found how theymos looks like:

OP, theymos doesn't prioritize account recovery too much. Imagine getting 100s of PMs if not 1000s of them everyday, and spending n amount time on recovery. He should delegate these tasks, but he doesn't find people trustworthy as much.
803  Economy / Services / Re: A simple bitcoin Q/A. Learn new and interesting stuff about bitcoin. on: August 03, 2018, 10:02:41 PM
This isn't directly related to bitcoin, but I just thought people should know more about this. There have been proposals for bitcoin ETFs to the SEC, and got rejected at least twice.

Question: Explain what is an ETF and how it works?

Apologies for not being around for this thread. Have lot a personal issues going around.
804  Other / Meta / Re: Can't reply in forum on: August 03, 2018, 09:38:17 PM
He has made 3 posts, why does his post count mention its only 2? Huh

You would not have been able to post this thread here if that was the case (it is only post you made today).
He created a thread, that doesn't count as reply.  Undecided
805  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign Management Gone Wrong (Bitcasino.io) on: August 03, 2018, 09:01:48 PM
"Uh, yes your Honor, I threatened him to delete all evidence of me committing the felony, which I understand is another felony in itself, so it shouldn't be available as evidence" - Pugman in Court
Also, he asked me to delete things before he threatened me monetarily....so?Huh?? Are you confused?
Threatened you monetarily? Did he specifically ask you for money? Because that's what it means.

And that word evidence you're shouting for, its an evidence for an accusation that arose due to a mistake. A mistake of counting posts is a felony? Since you're bitching so much about the felony here, why don't you go ahead sue Jeremypwr, and see what the court has to offer to you.

By the way, threatening to not pay somebody an agreed to amount unless they do something is involving money, isn't it?
And since you're literally braindead, he's a quote from the link you told me to read which counters your point immediately.

"Virtually all extortion statutes require that a threat must be made to the person or property of the victim. Threats to harm the victim's friends or relatives may also be included. It is not necessary for a threat to involve physical injury."

As soon as he agreed in his mistake and that he would send me the money, that money was my property.
Thank you for trying to act like you know something, and further providing evidence for my point.
Earnings =/= property. Also, you were paid.

Will you also use the evidence that I am "providing to prove your point", in court?

What's your problem again now? You got paid, you don't want to go back to the campaign nor do you want to call the cops. So what are you spamming about?
806  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies shouldn't be allowed to post on Currency Exchange on: August 03, 2018, 08:27:57 PM
This isn't a big issue. Newbie paypal sellers are usually ignored and buyers either contact trusted members, or they are ignored too.

Worse case scenario: Newbie contacts another newbie and ends up getting scammed. A very possible case, but if a person is smart and bothers to just read the stickies, he is good to go.

Merit should only be a requirement for rank, its not a restriction for everything on this forum. If people are to scam, they'll find a way to do so, but if they aren't, then they would just have a quick deal and get things done with.
807  Other / Meta / Re: A proposed mechanism for detecting fraud scam bounty campaigns on: August 03, 2018, 08:21:22 PM
Nice, thanks for pointing out the idioicy of OP.

What he's suggesting is that people vouch for these shit projects, and essentially take some measure of responsibility for them.  I don't think anyone wants to risk their reputation if one of them goes south after deeming it to be legitimate.

He's also suggesting that people volunteer to do this, while they get none of the profits of these projects.  This is completely ass-backwards.  It's the project developers and campaign managers who need to be responsible for showing a project or a campaign is legit, not other members of the community.  The community already does a fantastic job of sniffing out scams, but they do so on their own time and that's a generous gesture--but trying to organize something whereby they HAVE to do this is just wrong.
Ignoring the OP, what we actually need is a do's and don'ts list by theymos/ a set of Official rules. The current rules are very subjective and hard to determine in some cases. At least theymos needs to provide a guidelines on Signature Campaigns. And touché on everything else you said.  Kiss

Based on OP's idea, its completely useless and time consuming. For people don't have time, otherwise they would rather report shitposts that people like OP make.
808  Other / Meta / Re: Application for a merit source on: August 03, 2018, 08:09:07 PM
Hello pugman.

Thank you for supporting my application. I consider you a great member of this forum and your support means a lot to me.

I agree with you about theyoungmillionnaire, he would be a great merit source and that would be nice for the Filipino board.

btw, my application correct link is https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4726098.0  Cheesy
Oh, I am so sorry, my bad.

Bump.

Whatever happened with this application? Any updates?
Yo, @theymos, where u at dawg?
Thanks for the bump, I am putting my application on a little hiatus. I a m having a little crisis IRL,that needs to be taken care of, don't know when I'll continue this, hopefully soon.
809  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign Management Gone Wrong (Bitcasino.io) on: August 03, 2018, 01:12:59 AM
"Most stupidest", nice. Grin

So if a felon apologizes for committing a felony that is fine, he can commit as many crimes against somebody as he wants?
"inadmissible" on what terms, Mr. Lawyer?
Forget the scamming that would be easily enforceable.
Extortion is a felony in all states, and not only that, in all countries. But let's just move on and let a felon continue to criminally extort people and commit crimes. Grin I wonder who the "most stupidest" is
Now that digaran has gone silent, I'd say you're acting stupider/delusional/idiotic. Choose what you like. Don't worry,it'll be temporary, you'll be long gone, while digaran would come back.

Inadmissible on what terms? Let's see:

He asked you to delete your posts, and there is no law that defines extortion to involve these petty things(As far as I know). You should also read this: https://criminal.findlaw.com/criminal-charges/extortion.html

Extortion involves money or threats to cause physical threats.
810  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign Management Gone Wrong (Bitcasino.io) on: August 02, 2018, 11:28:38 PM
Oh Pugman, how futile all your argument points have been. And easily countered not only by me, but by many others.
I am not supporting neither of you here. And this:

1) I'm not entitled, because if you agree to do something and don't do it, that is you defaulting on an agreement. You didn't make things go back to normal like was agreed. That's not me being entitled, that's you scamming.
2) I'm not spamming, I'm replying to people. If you have a problem with somebody replying to people in relevant context and using pictures, that sounds like a personal issue.
3) You dropped me before payment because of your error and being a bad campaign manager. You then said you would make things normal and fix it, but you didn't. Obviously things are not back to normal like you agreed to.
4) Case still open, simply because you state it's over doesn't mean it's over. There still are allegations of your blackmailing which is documented and also scamming out of the agreement you said yes to.

1. Its already solved. So it involves no scamming, cause you were paid. Ref: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/6b4e3f354946feb24ea08c5c5331f0b6bb2cb3b77ed72d6241673538e700c94chttps://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/6b4e3f354946feb24ea08c5c5331f0b6bb2cb3b77ed72d6241673538e700c94c

2. You're spamming. You have made 90 posts, and all of them with the same images over and over again.

3. Dropping you initially might have been a mistake, but dropping you later was a well-made decision.

4. Don't forget that you also blackmailed him. Now that you're paid, what are you whining about here? Extortion? This is very subjective, he asked you to delete your posts, and that is not considered to be extortion, in the court of order in many countries.
Do you still think you got scammed? Even after you were paid?

No, that would not be ok, but jeremypwr admitted his mistake, apologised
To this user I ask: As long as a murderer or financial fraud says he is sorry, he doesn't deserve jail time?
What o_e_l_e_o is referring here is, Jeremypwr made a mistake in post counting, and now for that he should be jailed? Shocked

Now you're just competing against digaran to see who is the most stupidest.  Undecided

You're getting nothing from this, can you move on? Because the main issue was you getting paid for those 25 posts and now you have. Apologize to each other and get this issue solved.

If you still think this isn't over, well sue Jeremypwr. And see what the court has to say to you, keep in mind, almost everything would be inadmissible, probably.

If I were to drop WaffleMaster, a Hero member, and add the new Legendary member, would WaffleMaster still be able to claim he is getting "scammed?"
You need to stop comparing ranks. It doesn't look good as it sounds. There are better newbies than Legendary, for all I know. Rank doesn't define a person, or his post quality.
If I were to drop WaffleMaster, a Hero member, and add the new Legendary member, would WaffleMaster still be able to claim he is getting "scammed?"
Not that he was scammed in the first place, he wouldn't be able to claim that he got scammed. For future purposes, just tell why you're removing someone, just to avoid situations like these that may or,may not bite you in the ass. It won't hurt for you to just to tell why.
Can you both just apologize to each other for being jerks to one another?
812  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM ALERT!!! Lost 0.08 BTC [Please stay safe] on: August 02, 2018, 09:10:22 PM
This email address was recently changed too, but I don't know when.
It must have been changed at least a month ago. For how many months does it show in the trust page that the email/password has been changed?
OP, its really nice to see that you're still giving him(yishak) the benefit of the doubt even after he scammed you and the fact that you're calmly handling things. We don't see this happening everyday or ever. Don't worry, money will come and go, and you'll rightfully get what you deserve(directly or indirectly).
813  Other / Meta / Re: How recognized are you in the bitcointalk world? on: August 02, 2018, 09:01:36 PM
I think it would have been the activity/rank metric that kept nullius off the list.

I see some trust and a lot of earned merit but not enough to overcome the lack of activity.

I am surprised that nullius isn't there but this guy(newbie) is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=95463. nullius has more activity, same trust(sort of), and more merit than him. Vod did you take potential activity into count?
814  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Sky Mining CEO Disappears With $35 Million on: August 02, 2018, 08:13:34 PM
SON OF A BITCH!

Its really shameful that things like these are happening, and innocent people are getting scammed. Angry

He is not going to escape easily with those 35 million $, he probably will end up getting caught sooner or later.
What I'm really intrigued is, why do the rest of team except the CEO are playing the victim card? Do they really not know anything?  Huh
There are some people who are too ignorant to believe that an actual scam isn't a scam. I could see that being a reason, or they were involved in the scam together, but this fucker here betrayed them, which technically makes them the victim here.
815  Other / Meta / Re: Possible bug in stickied topics on: August 02, 2018, 04:00:46 PM
...
You hacked me.  Angry

Although archiving my post history won't prove anything as people need to be logged in.

If someone comment on your topic then on their post history page there will be a delete button for that post only.
This happens when you try deleting it:

816  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign Management Gone Wrong (Bitcasino.io) on: August 02, 2018, 03:38:13 PM
They didn't ask WaffleMaster to delete these posts, to understand what is going on here you have to go trough this topic, scam accusation topic and bounty topic as well.
Yeah I knew what happened, I just confused my self at the time of writing that post. He has made around 90 posts bitching about how he got scammed for 960$/ 0.12BTC , and I got myself confused in the middle.  Angry

I am going to give them benefit of doubt because both acted like two kids fighting over a toy and I am pretty sure this could have been resolved in more peaceful way.
Agreed. They can still sort it out, apologize to each other and get this over with. But I doubt they will, and honestly, I want this bozo to keep spamming his shit, for digaran has become too quiet and things got boring again.  Undecided

The personal attacks and lies will continue, I'm afraid. But it's ok because really I am in the complete right, like even Yahoo has said.
Yahoo also said that you are a crazy person who has the misconception that you got scammed for 960$. Stop using half meanings here.
817  Other / Meta / Re: Last edit preview? on: August 02, 2018, 02:22:44 PM
What I understand is, you mean an edit history visible to public. At the moment I guess only mod/admin can see edit history, not sure though. Publicly it's not available however I think it should be publicly available too.
I don't think so. I know Mods can't see edit history, and about Admins seeing edit history, I don't know if they can/do see for every single user, but theymos said he tracks the edit history for least trusted users like say, TradeFortress.

As far as I know, Facebook used to show this message "last time edited 00.00" (I don`t use FB) or something like that, showing the readers that the post was edited and the time of the last edition.
Now it just shows as the comment has been edited. I don't think you can edit messages(Personal Messages?DMs).

OP, if you want to keep track of your edits, you can keep track of it in Drafts, but it only lasts for 7 days.

Is this on btct forum? Let me try this when i got a hold to a computer. How about for mobile users like me? Any suggestions?
You can see if someone edited their posts while on PC, there's a dotted line below the date area of the post. You can't check if the post is edited or not via a Mobile browser.
818  Other / Meta / Re: Copper Accounts on: August 02, 2018, 02:11:52 PM
I know you're mostly joking, but I think the time has come to have a new rank after Legendary now. Legendary had become far too common. I think legendary should be set at 960 activity and the new rank should be 1920 in following with the doubling of activity for each rank. Maybe some sort of additional demi-rank or other such title or badge could be given to people who earn large amounts of merit. 1000, 2000, 4000 etc. I think people who contribute a lot of meritable posts should stand out from the rest or be rewarded in such fashion.
I wasn't joking, even where I said keep the memberships cheap.  Embarrassed

People suggested mythical rank, but it doesn't go along with the other ranks. Gold, Silver, Diamond, Platinum memberships sound great, but if only theymos......

I seriously find no perks in Legendary rank. At least custom title would help.  Undecided
819  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign Management Gone Wrong (Bitcasino.io) on: August 02, 2018, 12:34:44 AM
It's not blackmailing when you tell someone you'll open a scam accusation. If there's no reason for that accusation, there shouldn't be anything to fear. Right?

Jeremypwr on the other hand is clearly blackmailing by threatening to not pay what was agreed on if something (which is even unrelated to the payment) is not done in time.
Threatening to open a scam accusation for removing someone from a campaign is not blackmail Huh ? There is nothing to fear, but there is more than something to lose. Accusations can make things go from bad to worse. Jeremypwr is not right here either, but what WaffleMaster is doing, is more than what a retard would do. Thread has served its purpose, its time to get this locked.
820  Other / Meta / Re: Is managing an official account as well as my own count towards alt accounts? on: August 02, 2018, 12:05:31 AM
as Jet Cash said, you should clearly state your position and responsibility related to this project
Please don't suggest this. People should respect other people's privacy, if OP doesn't want to disclose his alt/s, its ok, unless he is deciding to scam or get into shady stuff.

As for OP, you have no issues here, you're good to go, so long as you don't abuse your postion.
