I think if DDP accepted the offer, he would've won because if there was a good time to beat Adesanya, it was that night.  He was slower, kinda like he wasn't himself...  :/

Adesanya got used to a lot of support from the crowd but this time he was booed and probably lost the drive to win. Didn't even make any other attempt to land a significant hit to Strickland. DDP will likely not want to fight this version of Izzy.

While Strickland is getting much support also. You'd probably begin to like him after he fixes the broken UFC belt. https://www.instagram.com/p/CxEl_aLJ5N7/ I do like him now. And look at all his guns hanging on the wall  Grin
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Do You Manage Your Adrenaline Rush In Gambling? on: September 12, 2023, 02:58:15 AM
Does energy drink contributes to have high adrenaline? I thought its only for those who are in extreme sports like jumping cliffs.

Adrenaline is too high that I don't sometimes realized I rushing things. Its why I stopped betting on casino games because whenever I'm about to lose the coins I deposited, I've already doubled down to max bet and then crossing my fingers for the last bet. Sometimes it work but mostly don't. Stopping myself from playing those dice and slot helped me managed the adrenaline and at the same time lose money.

I find it very interesting that Sean Strickland won the game at defensive and boxing distance. Izzy could have disrupted his distance with her kicks, she remained calm in most places and did not hit. In the first rounds of the match, while Sean Strickland had 20 head punch at one point, Izyy only had one and he was kicking, which seemed a little pointless to me. It could have turned out like this because he underestimated his opponent. Izzy did not have such an enthusiastic match. First, he arranges a rematch with Strickland and Dana White, and then the Perreria trilogy begins.

Izzy Vs Sean was like a duel between an artist and a craftsman. Artists would perform better but only when they are in 'the zone', craftsmen would never be spectacular, but will deliver a solid performance even on their bad day.
It just wasn't a good day for Izzy, he either missed something in his mental preparation, or that blow in the 1st round had much greater effect that we might realise. He looked like he was solely focussed on surviving.
Voices on the internet are mostly against an immediate rematch. Sure, Izzy deserves it simply because of all his past achievements, but that's not necessarily fair to all the other guys in the middleweight, who want their shot at the title as well. Sportwise, Du Plessis is more deserving to fight Strickland next.

Dana is just doing the drama like he really wanted to quick rematch. But I think he wants Izzy to move up already for more saleable fights for him and leave the MW. Removing the gatekeeper will allow new faces in the division. Dana probably will introduce again Khamzat in the MW against Costa which had been the most anticipated fight for months.

And Pereira will finally get his rematch with Izzy. It's an unfinished business which is more exciting to fans, fans really need to find out who gets 2:1

Subscription is a good way to make a constant flow of money. That is an incentive to promote a group. And they could send the wrong signal too where they could tell their subscribers to sell while they go long.

But it is not new anymore, even in the Forex market there are signal groups scamming newbies. They are good though but I think they were just parroting the best tips from the best traders they know. Besides the exchanges themselves or the Tradingview itself are providing signals for traders.

805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: September 11, 2023, 05:50:01 PM

Mike has to teach Francis how to get closer to find the range, Mike is smart enough to have done this against his opponents. If Francis can't get close, he will never get an opportunity to land a punch.

It doesn't look like they are very much into thrashing. Francis pointing at the bod looks like a good meme. We're going to see a lot of memes after the fight and it wouldn't even matter for Francis if he loses the fight since it's already expected against the pro but it would be a hilarious meme if Fury loses though.

806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We Are To Turn Bitcoin into a Global payment Network - Former PayPal President on: September 11, 2023, 05:33:40 PM
They've literally joined BTC years ago. It's the strategy just as they say 'If you can't beat them, join them.'

And because Satoshi has no face, they are trying to steal the merit. It's not the first time to happened, we saw a number of entities Nonetheless it is still good to see the old system adopting the new technology and they are not shy to do it, unlike the big banks who still are trying to stray the regular people from adopting the future of currency.

Adesanya didn't expect how Strickland fought?  Don't think so...  It was the craziest part of the match imho.  Strickland brought totally nothing new and fought the same way he does in all of his matches.  Didn't bring anything unexpected and yet Adesanya looked like he wasn't prepared for it.  I mean wow...  How??

Anyway, here's the post fight conference guys...  Congrats to all you brave degens who took Strickland.

UFC 293:  Post Fight Press Conference
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpxZdLcsbIE

It was really the same strategy but the difference in this strategy was the enhanced defense, Many are saying that Israel Adesanya might be off he is not himself entering the ring Well actually it was the other way around for sure Izzy was entering the ring ready for this fight he is confident that he will win this while Sean Strickland was the one that was off, he said in the interview he is expecting that he will get hurt from this fight for sure and he is not gaining confidence at all, but a different thing have happen for sure as  Sean Strickland bested Adesanya in this one, for sure

People must have lost in this fight, seemingly confident about Adesanya winning this fight including me. He look so invincible even to his previous opponents, pretty sure he can hit anyone standing right in front of him but suddenly Adesanya turned so dull in this fight. Seemed exposed already. Who would have thought someone with just as simple strategy and going just straight jabs could get through Adesanya.

When Adesanya was knocked the first time, it would have been over if it wasn't Strickland but someone with good wrestling then went ahead jumping right on top of him and choke.

It was all in the defense even the announcers noticed it and kept on saying that they never thought how important the defense was for sure Israel Adesanya's strategy was to keep on kicking his game plan was those flashy kicks but Strickland kept on checking them, which in the Abus Magomedov fight he barely checking those question mark kicks while in this fight Strickland Miraculously keep on checking those kicks so for sure defense in much important basic for a fighter,

lol. Just lol. Such an unexpected outcome in main event. Is this the begging of the end of Izzy era? 4 fight, 2 losses, 2 wins. Zebra record. Plus boring fights previously and lack of early finishes lately. Dont thing that we gonna get a rematch this time.

Actually, we can but after Israel, Adesanya fights 1 opponent first because hat Pereira lost he immediately can make a rematch because of the consecutive wins he got but this time he came with 1 loss against Pereira and 1 win against Pereira aswell, so he can not be given an immediate rematch, I was really wrong for thinking that Izzy could get an Immediate rematch but he can not,

They settled with Pereira 1:1 when there should have been a trilogy actually. Adesanya get a rematch with Strickland is very possible. It would be interesting to see what Adesanya's game plan in their rematch coz it seem like he wasn't able to execute an offense that can damage Strickland.

Feel like I was cheated after I bet against Sean twice and lost.

808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Features on any Banking or Financial apps should be Removed on: September 11, 2023, 03:44:25 AM

Its no surpise anymore that payment apps in different countries are allowing users to send money to a casino and not get locked. Paypal used to make it a violation of their policy but if they allow BTC to be withdrawn, that policy is irrelevant anymore.

Banking apps is not so different to CBDC wallets, I would be looking forward to also see these financial apps having a link to crypto investments not just gambling.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ouch, today someone made a transaction with over $500k fee. on: September 11, 2023, 03:28:45 AM
Such a huge loss.
It happens every near bull market. It seem like every bull market there is a newcomer in crypto who is very rich and doesn't know how to send with the minimum transaction fee.

I Wouldn't want to laugh at someone's misery but someone somewhere is going to be like the miners in F2pool.
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google Play updates its policies permitting blockchain games and apps on: September 10, 2023, 06:38:49 PM

Do you believe that this update from Google Play will drive the adoption of NFTs in mobile games?

There were already crypto app/games with NFTs on google play store before this announce AFAIK. But apps that can make users wager, I think is more appealing to users that could lead to adoption. They still are suppressing this kind of apps so, there might just be no effect at all after this announcement.

But those casino apps, may get around of this kind of policy. The Utopia project does have a poker game in their app, they may be able to update their app now for playing casino games to be available.
811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Behaviours of gamblers you dislike. on: September 10, 2023, 06:29:49 PM

I hate the second and third points that you've mentioned. I usually see people who have failed in gambling themselves keep tickling those who are winning to provide them with tips and tricks or strategies that they can use to win as well, and I don't understand why people think that they can win just after getting some tips from another gambler when the other gambler himself is winning just because he is lucky and not for any other reason.

And, I also hate people who borrow money from others by making excuses that they will use it on other things but then they use that money in gambling and once they lose that money, they forget about it like they never borrowed it and when confronted, they behave like they got offended from it.
Me too, I don't like when someone just talk to me because he knew that i am winning. I don't want to lend some to people who are not capable to manage their emotions and I don't want to give that to them because I am sure they will just lose again because their mindset is just to win the game and get their loses back which will make them to lose more because of that thing.

They PM you here in bitcointalk upon knowing you won or in the casino chatbox?

I have not announced I won something big though but if you hate it so much there is an option for you to report their PMs.
The chats in the casino is just not ideal for asking tips, it seem like a trollbox actually where people still plays the fud there in order for users to dump their BTC. Casino chatbox is where you can read announcement of celebrities that just died which majority are not true as well.
812  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io| 💸Buy-Sell BFG on BetFury | 🔥Fury Pharaoh - New In-house Slot on: September 10, 2023, 06:15:18 PM
Betfury announced the 46th BFG token burning
~
Total burnt amount BFG tokens: 1 646 170 932 BFG (32,92% of the total supply)

https://betfury.io/news/bfg-burning-46

As for me, this is another confirmation that all monthly BFG token burns are just marketing tricks and nothing more. If we compare this burning with the previous one, the difference is only 0.06% of the total BFG emission. This is too insignificant because if they continue burning tokens at this rate, it will take them more than 23 years to reach the mark of 50% of the total emission. It doesn't make much sense because BFG and Betfury will most likely lose their relevance over such a long period.

Token burning is actually only a marketing ploy regardless of the percentage they are burning.  This is a buzzword to attract the interest of the investors making them think that the token will eventually have a higher value due to the omission of token from the circulation.  At least the team is true to their word that they will be burning tokens in scheduled time, unlike other projects that promise this kind of token burn and yet they just do it once or twice then they stop.
Well, I have to agree with you honestly, it actually baffles me when some project owners will launch a new project, purposely minting billions or even trillions of tokens as a supply, then just as the project is kicking off, they will announce a token burn and hype it like it's one special event that could make every one holding the token at the time rich ..

All this are marketing tactics that used to work a long time ago, but no longer this days, the crypto market have matured and grown past that that level, I personally just look away from projects that use Burn as a marketing tactics..

But still, BFG's method of burn is quite different, and for the fact that the team have been consistent with the periodic burn, that indeed is a plus for them, and also the holders of the token.

Burning is not working. Hundreds of token has this kind of program along their road map. The price never change because of free market deciding the price. Reducing the circulation is not going to help but just a distraction for the buy order price does not change whenever they burn tokens.

But I notice that when BFG did a signature campaign in the forum, the price slightly goes up. The marketing still works but this is bear market though. Holders nothing else can do but hold especially the holders who bought at higher price.
813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will you feel if it happens to you just like this? on: September 10, 2023, 05:51:49 PM

People like those (me) who don't gamble for fun have this question to answer: how will you feel when you don't have money to stake a game that you predicted and better winning games you predicted played the way you predicted it and when you checked the winning was something that could have changed your life for ever if you didn't gambled again after such winning?

This question can be very tough to answer, but believe me, many people won't stop thinking of that if it happened to them, so I want to know your opinion about how you would feel if it happened to you.

You might have predicted it correctly but there are no guarantees in the first place and so risks are still there even if you're positive that your team or fighter that you wanted to wager on got a huge chance. Of course, we cannot stop thinking about it especially if it turns out that our prediction was spot on, that is normal, but we are just giving ourselves a hard time because what's done is done and we cannot make something out of it as we don't have any money to wager to begin with.

Apart from thinking about it, why don't we think about the opposite one? Because even if we're confident, there are no guarantees that our bets will make it and so let's just leave it that way and think that it could've been a good way as we might've lost the money.

A little sorry if our predictions were true before, I was sure that feelings and thoughts existed when in such a situation.
But the decision to leave it is the best decision because your situation does not have money to risk your predictions.

The point is do not force betting if you do not have money, because the potential will be much greater if we force our desire to bet, by borrowing other people's money might be a solution, but that is a bad solution that you take for such circumstances.
Every gambler must have felt such a situation and the results of predictions to overshadow our minds after predictions that are done becomes reality, but you have no place for it.
Just let it be an ordinary situation.

If you are not a gambler like OP had said he isn't so much of a gambler so if he has money to bet, I doubt he will go all in and trust his prediction. The non gamblers often times will just be predicting.

I personally know someone who joins out night card games in the house of a friend but he is there just to join us drink our whiskey. He once sat on the table, we learn he knows how to play but not really a gambler. Folds all the time even when he has a pair.
814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: September 10, 2023, 04:37:27 PM
`
Despite the fact that all of us here in the topic are talking about the fact that cockfighting is a centuries-old tradition in many countries of the world and its preservation is the preservation of the cultural traditions of many peoples and communities.
But in any case, time passes, civilization develops and traditions gradually change, and those that are associated with great cruelty are gradually becoming a thing of the past.  So it was for example with gladiator fights in ancient Rome.  Then, much later, the knightly tournaments that took place everywhere in Europe in the Middle Ages were similarly canceled.
Here is such a tradition as cockfighting, I also think it will gradually disappear from the life of even these peoples, where they consider it an unshakable tradition.
But of course it doesn't happen that fast.  This happens over periods of life of several generations of people.
These blood sports evolved into online gambling. While we consider cockfighting and gladiator conflicts, society has moved away from physical damage for entertainment. We can see why online gambling is appealing—its fun without risk. Thrill from chance and strategy, not animal pain.

If society wants more ethical entertainment, online gambling may be it. However, approaching it with understanding and prudence is crucial. You must comprehend risks and make informed judgments.

We may be following social norms by shifting our natural desire to competition from brutal methods to safe and controlled places like online casinos. Remember, the house always wins, so gamble prudently.
Of course, the casino always wins, otherwise the gambling business itself would be impossible.  But this business exists and it is even very successful and profitable for casino owners.  If in reaal cockfights the rooster who is really stronger than the opponent wins, and this is difficult to determine in advance, when both roosters are approximately equal in strength, this can be said to be a guarantee of “provable fairness” of the fight.  But if we are talking about moving a similar fight online, that is, not a creation of nature in the form of a live rooster, but in the case of an online fight, it is already the creation of a specific programmer, then the question of provable fairness can be called into question.  No matter how convincingly the casino  owner s convince you that everything is extremely conscientious and honest.  This is of course a significant difference.  Animals never lie, but act based on the survival instinct, but humans often lie in order to gain some kind of privilege or profit.  So in the case of cockfighting, replacing it with an online version of the game is not entirely identical to traditional cockfighting.
Most biological variables in cockfights are unpredictable. This changes when we move that environment online. In online gambling, algorithms are used. Remember that all casinos are for profit. Business is like that. Online gambling is regulated to maintain fairness. Third-party audits and testable fair algorithms are examples. Skepticism exists because software is manipulable. Online gamblers should only use reliable platforms that disclose their fairness audits and have positive evaluations from independent sources.

Its possible that the online casino will not be fair in cockfighting matches since the breed of the birds are very much a factor. There are roosters that are hybrids which will be no match to inferior breeds. Or they could also injure the other bird deliberately assuring the other to win just like Maximus afflicted on his side.

Hard to examine while you see it only on the video. I guess every corner has to have a physician (vet) to check the health condition of the roosters first.  Grin

Its still a decision though. Adesanya might just get a quick rematch just as he did with Pereira. Dana will protect his cash cow which Adesanya has unlimited rematch request. He is still one of the top fighters in UFC.

But this is if the fans want it. And they might as well just give a 3rd rematch clause if Izzy wins in the 2nd. Refusing like he did with Pereira was just unacceptable. Alex might not move up if he just accept 3rd time.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ask about prediction on: September 10, 2023, 03:56:29 PM
If you can analyze the match, you can share it on this forum, especially since it is a free prediction. If you can really do it, I'm sure you will be liked by the members here because many sports fans are waiting for your predictions. Hopefully, you can really show talent and good analytical skills so that we can also learn from you and place bets Grin

And don't be afraid if, for example, your prediction is wrong because it is a prediction, and no prediction is truly 100% accurate. Each of them can analyze according to their ability, but being able to get accurate results is very rare. So show your skills and let us see.

Showing just 7 wins over 10 matches, I think its worth already of his skills. Its football though and countless people can do it as well. Having his own thread of it makes it easy for people to check his rating as long as he updates the first post of his wins.

The football prediction thread already exist however. I think he should just join there so they can discuss matches and reason out why a team will win or not. There are hundreds of users who already watches that thread.

Hes mad. I doubt the hard drive will still be intact, it will not be recoverable anymore after years of being soggy under the juicy trash. He didn't yet have those BTC yet but he already act this way. He will be worse than this when he found and recovers the BTC.

It would be surprising that none of his close friends or family ever advised him to give up that hard drive and try mining again. Suing the city for his carelessness is just not the way to go. After years of him dreaming that it will be found one day made him so entitled that he has the right to dig just about wherever he may want.

I agree with you. 23 years is a long time. But you can look at it another way. In 3 years, about 5% of the tokens of the total supply will be burned. But still I would like to see Betfury take more decisive actions that can increase the price and liquidity of BFG.

If Betfury's team continues to burn an average of the same number of BFG tokens every month as they did last month, they will only burn 2.16% in 3 years, not 5%. So it doesn't matter which way you look at it because there will be no results from these monthly burns. Now, 32.92% of the total BFG emission is burned, and it will probably be ~35% in three years. Will this have any effect on the value of the BFG token? I don't think so, although even 3 years is not a small period for any crypto project.

Agree, token is just the way of crypto project gives false hope to token holders because token burn with minimal percentage to the total supply for many years will not gonna give huge impact in long run. We are not sure if Betfury is still running for that year or to the point they will have a significant decrease on the total supply.

If they really interested to lift the price. Adding additional rewards feature to token holders is much better compared to burning nonsense tokens that doesn’t give direct impact to the price.

Why not create more usefulness off the token itself, not just or staking it and get dividends everyday. A Betfury shop I guess or incentives to merchants that accepts BFG. OR whatever the team could think of. BFG is not as worth holding so team could change it to something worth it otherwise, the tokens will not rise even in the Bull run season.

Utility of the token is important to have good demands of the token in the market. Burning tokens gives hope, lets see how things work out for them.

820  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help us build the greatest crypto casino on: September 09, 2023, 07:36:15 PM
It takes a lot of time and experience to try and build the greatest crypto casino op which is common sense. I feel that a critical factor that helps decide how popular a crypto casino would be is the KYC factor.

If you actually manage to build a site that can largely resist government regulations and provide gamblers a proper KYC free experience, it would stand out from the crowd.

A lot have tried this actually. Decentralized casino like connecting their wallet to the casino where they can play without KYC had been done before and it appears like its not working. Most probably because decentralized casino means they will be working on smart contract of a layer 1 token like ETH or BSC.

But if the developer of a casino can make a Bitcoin wallet like the Bitcoin Core or Electrum connect to a casino and bet on it with automation, I think this will be a game changer especially if they have sports as well.
