Raptors are an embarrassment. Derrozen has to be traded. Playoff choker.
We can't blame them but the expectation that they will be able to reach the finals.
But look on how they was kicked off by the Cavs. The league has been always unpredictable, they are good with the elimination and start of the season but they lose in the end.

I wouldn't say that they are embarrassment. But for Toronto fans, its sort of disappointed, they have been like eliminated by James and the Cavs for 3 consecutives years. The management has try to built a good solid team. However, its not really enough when you have to face Lebron every year. Game 3 and 4 tough DeRozan was a non factor, maybe he is not really on the level of Lebron that's why the team lost.

Its such a disappointed to see a number 1 eliminated, at the second round. Maybe the first one to go out here is their coach.
8062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you play online casino? if Yes... on: May 07, 2018, 11:35:28 PM
Most of the players are playing online casinos to save time I think because they no need to go anywhere everything is at their hand and lot of fiat and crypto based sites are now available for us.And we are anonymous by playing through online with bitcoins because some of us are not comfortable in going to the gambling clubs due to personal reasons or because of religious issues but what even now gambling made easy on our hand so we are just playing in online.
I appreciated the development of technology, but it really started to become virtual. I used to play casino games in the past, but I usually prefer real casinos. Everything is not just a screen, life is still a reality that needs to happen. Good luck

I agree, ever since the development of online casinos, its become one of the booming industries that we have seen in the last couple of years. But for those who have been going into a traditional before, its hard not to go there and just play at home. Sometimes you missed the atmosphere and the people around in a real casino.

The emotions you see on someone hitting a jackpot, baccarat tables being too lively because someone hits a tie/draw or even pairs. Hah, that's really exciting. That's why as much as I'm playing more online games now, I still prefer to go to landbased casino's and get the hang of it.
8063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does anyone gamble in race sports? on: May 07, 2018, 11:08:16 PM
I think only a handful of gamblers love this game, and maybe only about 5% .. most people love casino gambling and sportsbooks, gambling Horse Racing, Speedway, and Bike Racing are just people who love it, it's a boring gambling

LOL. How can you say that there are only a handful of gamblers who bet on horse racing? There a lot of high rollers are well in horse racing. Justify just won the recent Kentucky derby and there was a lot of money flowing on that 1 race alone. And the next one will be a few weeks away, so for those who are thinking of placing a bet on Preakness stakes, put your money in Justify.  Grin

For me personally, I dislike because the chance for winning is low because those game type are high odds gameplay.
It's just like gamble on lottery , ofcourse lottery are in higher level !

But for those who have followed horse racing, they can really make a good analysis and predict the winning horse. Yes, its difficult but experience and some extreme luck will give you good dividends in the end.
8064  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may continue to move higher on: May 07, 2018, 10:14:12 PM
Seeing that we are under 9500 again make me not feeling good , we might still go for 11000 but probably that will delay for the end of this month or in June .

But also under 9500 can be just small retrace for loading up before shoot , But I doubt . Dam I just dream when we will see 15000+ again .

Why? $9500 is a very good price as far as I know. Maybe we didn't get to $10K as everyone is really expecting. But the bull run last Fri-Sat was quite unexpected as well, resulting in bitcoin overbought that's why we found another retrace.

The good thing though is that it didn't bottom below $9K as we are seeing maybe consolidation and its trading sideways. For me its a good sign that we might re-test $10K in the next succeeding days and I hope that we can smash  this mental barrier and then the complexion of the game will change. Renewed interest, fresh blood pumping the market pushing the price to $11K. Let's wait and see.
8065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 07, 2018, 09:33:33 PM
Another Cavs win , another bet win. That was a well deserved win from the Cavs, credits to the Raptors for giving a fight after being down by 10+ points the whole game. But sad to say: same team, same line-up, same gameplay, same result. Raptors cant win against LeBron and the Cavs period. Game 4 will be a potential sweep, step up Raptors, its win or go home situation. Good luck

Too much loud heartbeats from the Raptors and including their star player is having a higher pulse. Grin
It is hard to recover from that. You will feel the tension from the homecourt crowd and you will be fighting with your own doubt to yourself.

They need more experience or they need some player with experience in the Finals to boosts them up.
Sad because I am a Toronto fan when they are playing in the season. I love their speed but this might be the end for their long run. Time to rest.
Right now I hate being a team in the East, Lebron James is a different player when the playoff time comes. And I really feel bad about the Raptors this might be the last season Dwane Casey will be coaching the team, they might even have some kind of major overhaul like what the Atlanta Hawks, and Indiana Pacers have done in order to catch up to Lebron. If they sweep this I think the next round would be a fun thing to watch as potentially seeing Boston vs. Cleveland would be a intensified filled game.

Looks like Lebron elevated his game on another level once playoff begins. Almost every basketball pundits didn't like what they saw during regular season and some of them ate writing the Cleveland off. And then Lebron shows why he is called the King. Game after game, he has something specially to show his fans, the fade-away shots and then buzzer beater. Yeah, Casey's might be on his way out, although he really did a lot on Toronto if was not enough and another sweep on them by James and the Cavs.
8066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Kentucky Derby -May 5th ! Discussion and Picks - Biggest Horse Race of the YEAR on: May 06, 2018, 08:43:45 PM
What a impressive win by Justify, the horse was very quick from the starting gate and with the phase Justify run 45 seconds in a half mile? that was speed that's why no horse can keep up with that kind of phase under the sloppy conditions of the track, Kudos to Mike Smith for riding and winning is a spectacular fashion. Well, I have no doubt that Justify will be the triple crown winner this year. Next is Preakness in June if I'm not mistaken and I'm sure that Justify will be the favorite again.

Best thing I like about online casino is that it is available anytime. In case of real casinos, you can play only at fixed timings when they are open. On the other hand, online casinos are open for 24 hours. Also, since there are users from all over the world, you will always have people to play with.

I don't know about the fixed time at land based casino's because as far as I know land based are always available except for few occasions or holiday, but they are not totally close, in our place casinos are only closed (half day) 1 or 2 a year. I forgot if its Christmas/New year holiday or Holy Week.

As for online, that might not true as well. Because online casino is prone to DDoS or if they do some infrastructure or server upgrade they need to shut it down for quite some time. If you are not aware, infrastructure and server upgrade/maintenance doesn't always run on scheduled and usually take longer than usual. And no matter how the team is prepared for this kind of service, most of the time unexpected glitches do happen.
8068  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does signature campaign really help to promote an ICO ? on: May 06, 2018, 06:24:22 PM
Certainly, these campaigns help these projects get new investors and thus benefit from the investment. Some campaigns are running for more than an year and they would not do so if they were not benefiting from these.

There's no doubt that signature campaigns really help a lot in promoting an ICO or a project. Let's take for example this campaign, [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week in BTC & Tokens. As far as I know, the ICO price is $0.01 but when this campaign started, I noticed that the price peaked at almost $0.07, which is a good return if you have invested on it during ICO. Maybe it was artificially pump but the exact moment the price grow exponentially is during its signature campaign. So I have no doubt that somewhat the campaign started this pump.
8069  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-05-04] Bitcoin Sets Sights Above $10K After Bull Breakout on: May 06, 2018, 05:55:39 PM
Small correction happened after that - 5% decrease in last 24 hours, nothing critical. It will take 2 days to get back to 10k.

I thought we gonna sustain the bullish breakout unfortunately, minor correction happened pulling the price in the $9500-$9600 range. Which means the grip of the bulls and not that strong to really push the price above $10K. However, I have to agree that there's nothing to worry about. Maybe it was really overbought and we don't like that kind of scenario. What we wanted to see is the price moving on a 'normal', as compare to the artificial price increase last December which resulted in the price bottoming to $6500 from as high as $20K.

Let's see if this descending trend will continue or investors are matured enough to get back into the market and to rally again to inch closer to the $10K mark.
8070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 06, 2018, 04:53:49 PM
Finally the Cavs team is playing good ball. LeBron carried the team against the Pacers and now, when the team is needed against the Raptors, they are showing up. LeBron doing LeBron things with crazy fadeaways and buzzer beaters but beating the Raptors wasnt going to be easy if there wasnt any support for him. Kyle Korver has been stepping it up in the Raptors series and Love too. Never thought Cavs were gonna be in Conference Finals this year but they have really showed us that they deserve it(all thanks to LeBron).

What do you mean by "finally" they have elevated their ball game entering the playoffs. And he is still carrying them against Toronto, its a team effort, which has to be expected of him. That's why this is really a test how good a team is, specially in the case of Toronto who has a good chance to eliminate the top seed in the East.

Good luck
Its not just another win, but a dagger win put into the hearts of Toronto and its fans. They have claw back, down by +10 and even tied the game. But then again, Cavaliers has the best basketball player in the planet, so James proves again why he is called the King by another heroics in the end. The odds are against Toronto now, and no one has manages to comeback down 0-3 and win the series. I guess we are going to see Celtics vs Cavs again. Would love though so tee Kyrie on the Celtics uniform, it will be a epic battle.

We are running out of superlatives to describe Lebron James. That is a dagger indeed and its one of the hardest shot to do. Going on his left(not James strong side), taking the shot with your wrong feet and banking it home. What can we say? He is truly the on the greatest and I won't be surprise if they will go to the NBA championship again.
8071  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Best Time To Exit Trading on: May 03, 2018, 08:14:30 PM
Best time to exit trading is to just be ahead, like way ahead when you can just live off the interest of all amount of money you were able to profit from your trading.

That's why is it advisable that you need to put down our exit strategy as well. So that you can exit on time and still make profits instead of waiting for the price to really get into the top. However, no one knows what could be the top price of any coins. If you think that you have meet your exit plan (your profits) then no need to stay a minute longer. Get out take your profits and go on the next coin that you are going to invest and then repeat your strategy.

And this is the reason why so many newbie traders have lost in the past. They don't know how to mitigate risk, then think that the price will go on a parabolic rise so they waited until finally the market plummeted and they lost their potential profit because they don't have any exit plan.
8072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: thinking quiting after lose on gambling. on: May 03, 2018, 07:46:42 PM
If only it was as easy as it sounds. I have had some horrible experiences with gambling and have lost a lot of BTC because of Gambling. But, I still haven't been able to give up this habit and I keep coming back here to gamble more. I was introduced to Gambling by a fellow friend who was actually very efficient and lucky in this regards. But unfortunately for me, the luck has not been on my side. I am hoping maybe something happens in future and I am able to recover all my money but it doesn't look likely.
Even if you quit today, I am sure you would come back again once you will have enough money in hand.

Longest time that I ever 'quit' is 2 weeks. Lol. Because during that time I have no extra bitcoin on my wallet to deposit on a gambling site. However, when the habit kicks in again, its really hard to control and even your mind is telling you not to gamble, its hard to resist the temptation and you end up playing again. Its a vicious cycle that's really hard to control, we all know that we are going to be affected not just financially, but emotions and your well being specially your relationships with our love ones.
8073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There is no doubt that bitcioin will be replaced by another cryptocurrency on: May 03, 2018, 07:13:01 PM
I had previously doubted that Bitcoin would be replaced by another currency. But my mind has changed. Because I see there are many other cryptocurrencies that the developers are trying hard to solve the problems in cryptocurrencies.  What about bitcoin? We don't know who are the developers and no effort is being made to develop it.
If you don't try hard, your rivals will win. Bitcoin's rivals will win too.

But the problem with your logic is that there are already coins around that is better than bitcoins. However, we don't see it overtaking bitcoin, why? Because its been used as a store of value (SoV), meaning a lot of investors are pouring cash in the market right now to keep their money safe and of course make profits in return.

I had previously doubted that Bitcoin would be replaced by another currency. But my mind has changed. I think ETH has already replaced it as the most widely used payment option. I see most of the clients prefer paying in ETH now as it has less fees.

Exactly. ETH is much better technology wise than bitcoin, its fast, less fees and the devs are really active. But why it remains on the second spot? Its because people still prefer to use( invest) bitcoin despite all the scaling issues, high fees (although not the case today). Also LN is coming, everyone is claiming that's its going to be the solution for the current problem, so this might be another reason why people are still getting into the bitcoin market.
8074  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BitCoin Futures on: May 03, 2018, 06:51:31 PM
I'm sure in the future Bitcoin will be significantly improved. And the technology itself will go into our lives.

Did you really understand what's the topic is all about? The OP is talking about the Bitcoin future contracts offering by CME and CBoE and what's its effect on the market price.

Anyways, fast forward today and after the contracts has expired around February if I'm not mistaken, it didn't bring good effect on us long term. Its seems that when it was opened last December, people FOMO'd, pouring cash into the ecosystem that really pushed the price to almost $20K. However, we know what happens next, the bubble has been burst and price plummeted to as low at $6500. So we can say that it only brings more harm than good to all of us so it didn't play out as what everyone thought would be.
8075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 03, 2018, 05:21:53 PM
Utah actually won a game versus Houston at home tonight.
Almost all the Rockets top line had 5 fouls including Harden and had to sit out most of the third quarter.
Everybody counted the Jazz down and out in this series from the very beginning because of Ricky Rubio being out cause of a hamstring injury weeks ago. I think even before the playoffs started. And they were their best player which is a veteran in these playoffs.
But the rookie Donovon Mitchell is stirring up things for them and created an unbelievable dunk in the fourth which looked like something from the NBA dunk competition.
He threw it up high looking like it was going to be a shot but it hit the rim and bounced back to himself to finish it off with a dunk.
With defenders everywhere in the paint.
Now this is what the playoffs are all about.
With surprises in every game. Grin
Even Charles Barkley counted them out to not win the game, never against the Houston Rockets at home.
I guess they showed Sir Charles. Wink

This is all because of defense.
Remember what they said before it started, they are going to make Harden feel like it is hard to make a point and its uncomfortable to make shots. They did it at the first quarter giving them a huge lead and also the second one. Just got out of their claws at third but at the fourth everything went back to defense again.
Funny my friend and I were talking about this. Who wil win, the best offense or the best defensive team. I guess that tells it all.

Stops in exchange for a chance to get points. Ingles really made some good offensive runs.

Harden totally shut down on this game since the Jazz force him to commit 5 foul which is not usual for him. I agree with you that he temporarily release his bullet on 3rd quarter because Jazz player is resting due to the huge gap in points. I admire the concentration of Utah even though a lot of pressure against them by the fans, They still manage to focus until the end. Who notice the avengers destructing players of Utah during free throw?

Harden shot was challenged by the Jazz and there's one play wherein he was blocked. I also like Utah's composure even though the Rockets was able to climb back and even take the lead, they didn't collapsed and was able to stay abreast with them and then they got the upper hand. It is just me, doesn't Ingles looks like Dirk's lefty version? He made crucial 3's. Donovan Mitchell ROTY no doubt.
8076  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Impact of bitcoin futures on: May 02, 2018, 10:36:33 PM
I just wanted to know if anyone has theories about the impact of having bitcoin futures. Although there seems to be not  many people shorting hehe

With regards to that. It's always been a positive outcome for Bitcoin. The drop happens usually and we shouldn't worry because it is completely normal. We should get used to the sudden drop then up again. Besides that, bitcoin is widely known now, imagine it's growth in 5-10 more years

I didn't see the positive outcome that bitcoin future contract has brought in the market. We can say that it really push the price in December that's why the inevitable happen, it burst and then we experience bearish trend for the last 4 months. So I can say that it didn't do anything good for us. Its just been hype that's why a lot bought during the December madness specially when they hear that CBoE and CME are entering the picture.

But once we saw what it does bring long term, all the hype is gone that's why we suffer and ended up in the bear market. Its good though that we have somewhat recovered, but for me, it also brings more problem to us.
8077  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction on: May 02, 2018, 09:57:55 PM
$12,000 is quite far but $10,000 - $10,500 is a possibility.

Well, if we manage to smash through the $10,000 level (which is a very important level that either makes or breaks the short term market), the price will definitely keep pumping further, and I'm sure $12,000 won't be anything special then. I personally am too conservative yet to see the market reach that point this month, but if we do anyway, then expect a solid increase following up on that achievement. Mentally, 5 figure levels are very important, and that directly represents the 'actual' end of the bear trend people consider this market to be in, and while I'm not really into this bear trend thing because I look at the bigger picture, it does make sense.

Exactly. We also need to see if the pump will be sustainable as well otherwise we will see another drastic and hard fall. That's why I would rather see the price not being pump very quickly. Although we haven' tested it yet because we are just trading sideways apparently, we may see that this mental barrier can be broken if we can sustain another rally.

Smashing $10K is a big psychological barrier, but if we are going to break it, can we at least sustain the pump or not? That's the big question. Let's see and hope that the price can maintain at that levels.
8078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: May 02, 2018, 09:22:55 PM
Cavs are tired, Raps should blow them out tonight.

Its not gonna work like that. Maybe they're tired but that game was setting the whole team in a momentum, when you just came out from a fresh win there's no way you're gonna be blowed out.
Tough win from Cavs and that monentum will continue. Once the Cavs win on game 2, it could lead to potential sweep.
Remeber the Raptors didnt win a chip against Lebron in the playoffs. But yeah, this year's different. Lets just see what the outcome would be.

Did you see how DeRozan and Lowry played in the 2nd half? It is like something is drumming their heart and they cannot shoot the ball anymore or even tried too. This two got a lot of coffee in their nervous system which needs to be taken out.

Lebron saw that and the whole Cavs team and took the chance to win the game. They did.
Raptors will need to change the gameplay and try to pass the ball more often and look for better positions to free up some space. When they are in offense, it looks like the arena gets smaller. They are crowding the paint too much unlike the Cavs did, that is why it is raining with three's.

I have noticed that too. As if they are really trying so hard to win the game for themselves that's why they made a lot of mistakes and once they are double team, specially DeRozan, he will immediately pass the ball and that they already lost precious seconds which added more pressure to them to make the shot, which unfortunately didn't fall that's why Lebron and the Cavs escape with a win in their first game. I do hope that they will perform and at get the second game before going to the Cavs home turf and then steal 1 game them to bring back their home court advantage.
8079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your Tactic For The Upcoming Btc Crash on: May 02, 2018, 08:40:40 PM
We have been waiting a long time for this, everyone is curious to what exactly is going to happen. How much are we going down, where will we find support. What will be the outcome of this.

Your impending doom prediction didn't occur, although we have been bearish for the last 3 months or so, falling to as low as $6500, its seems that the market has somewhat recovered.

My 2 questions to you guys is:
- Do you have any tactic going into the crash, we might get one once the future trading starts.

For example: Going into 1 or 2 altcoins that might be good hedges against the BTC.

Last question:
- What will happen to alts?

For example: When BTC was skyrocketing towards $19k most alts were red, what do you think will happen to alts if the opposite happens? Will we see some green or red only?

Strategy for a crash if indeed it will happen is to just hold on your coin. Yes, I would agree that going to alt is a good option but the question is what alts are you going to hedge bitcoin? I don't have the exact answer for that. You have to do your own research. Again, the doom day scenario didn't occurs takes to the people who went back to the market and really believed that crypto has a lot of leg room and a good long term investment.
8080  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: May 02, 2018, 07:33:08 PM
I have no experience in this matter and I think gambling is not related to the relationship and it's only about the games. and if we play the games with our friends, we need to tell them that what we have to get in the end will not disturb our friendship and it's only to have some fun with them. I guess if we can explain to them that we are playing gambling is to get fun in the games and not chase the money, I think they will understand.

Gambling and relationship is very important, just thinking ourselves and not thinking about other people that we love might affect our relationship to them. Look, if you are paying too much attention in gambling, and only spending your little time that you have to your family, you might come to a point where you are completely into gambling, the feelings of your love ones is not important to you anymore because of your addiction.

It must be 80:20, 80% time for you family, and just 20% time for playing gambling.

I really don't know if you can specifically divide your time like that when you are in gambling. Well, I know that is doable, because I'm doing it, but I don't know if I have that kind of percentage. I just play with every bills every month is settled or if I have save enough for rainy days. But If ever I won, it just a bonus for me.

I have been in worst situation, but I still have my family as my priority and even if I gamble up to this day, our relationship is still solid and the only problem we had before is when I suddenly lost my job. But its all good now and I can still play and gamble and have my family at my side.

You've shared a nice experience here on how to gamble responsibly and congrats on getting a job back! I too think that gambling will not necessarily ruin a relationship. You can even play sometimes together with your spouse making your relationship stronger. But for those who feel that gambling can be a problem for their relationship it's better to restrain from it until they can see how it can make a positive impact.

Thank you mate, yes I was able to get a job back and our relationship has been stronger than ever. We always play together, (well 90% of the time), and we only play money that we can afford to lose. And I would agree that for those who partner doesn't want you to gamble anymore then you really need to stop or control yourself because it can really ruin your relationship and even break marriage. Its your choice.
