8261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Does Bitcoin price affect ICOs on: March 11, 2018, 06:57:38 AM
I have been wondering how directly and indirectly fluctuations in the price of bitcoin affects ICOs performance at that time. Anyone who knows this can assist in the explanation.

I think the effect I'm seeing is that maybe investors will shy away from investing in ICO when they see that the top crypto is falling. So they will have a second doubt, because why would I invest into crypto when the current situation is very sensitive and there's a lot of pressure in the price?

So everything goes with bitcoin. And this have been proven already, except during the December frenzy.

We understand that most ICO is Ethereum centric, but where does one gauge Ethereum. Exactly, based on bitcoin current price and sentiments.
8262  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: holybitcoin scam? on: March 11, 2018, 06:36:56 AM
I know this is an old post but would like to update some reviews I have purchased over 15k worth of mining eqe cables etc. etc. and only ever had one issue with equ. Which happened during the holidays and we as everyone was quite busy and had a hard time catching each other online. Even then once we did get caught up Scott made it right and I could not ask for a better person to deal with. In a time of scams every place holy bitcoin is a safe haven. If you do some searches for that name and holyscott you can find a blog that talks about his life. In general he seems like a real stand up dude and I wish him all the best.

But isn't it weird that there's only a few reviews about them even though they've been in business for years (since 2013 according to whois)?

Furthermore the site itself is outdated in terms of design and connection security, not to mention it's also anonymous (see whois links below)

Another paid schill here to spread lies and put somewhat legit claims that the website or the owner can be trusted? HMMM

Unless you can post the proof of your purchase? 15K worth? Doesn't sound any alarm and try to justify the "holiday" argument everyone is busy? Sounds dodgy to see.

And I agree with @Potato Chips, ne decent review that you can find around and out of nowhere you pop up with all this claims.
8263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I want ask about price bitcoin on: March 11, 2018, 06:11:28 AM
I want to ask, please answer carefully: D haha. I want to ask you what is the lowest bitcoin at the moment? whether to return to the price as early as 2017?
please answer me thanks , Regrads  Wink

The price always fluctuates, but most of us look at cmc (https://coinmarketcap.com/). So its below $9K as of this moment.

As far are the price is going back to 2017, its 50/50. Why? simply because no one can really predict the price movement unless you have some kind of time traveler and can go see the price in the future and go back at present.  Grin

But if you are going to look back at bitcoin price history, its proven record shows that it has high probably that it can go and touch another all-time-high. Its just the question of when.
8264  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-10] 75% of $20M Bitcoin Auction from Drug Busts on: March 11, 2018, 05:57:16 AM
And I thought that the price dropped because of this auction at least indirectly and partially maybe. It will starts after 8 days... (i know some people will say it is off exchanges, no impact on price...etc, but i think that the psychology of the traders has an impact too).

But at least we have something to blame again when the bitcoin price goes down again.  Grin. We have been in this crisis lately and there's too much pressure on the price so I guess this will really has a psychological effect on the traders and if they see that the price is going down again, panic selling will follow again.

We are still not over from the dumping of the Mt. Gox trustee and most of us are very angry as to what he did to the price. So with this kind of news, it will be really another mental games for all of us.
8265  Economy / Speculation / Re: Saving for your Children Bitcoin vs Cash? on: March 09, 2018, 09:58:02 PM
Like every parents want to leave something for children for their future.

Which investment is safe?

Bitcoin?
Stocks?
Real Estate?

Why don't you diversify then?

Invest on everything you mentioned. The chances of the 3 investment going down in unlikely. So at least you have Plan A,B and C in place as well. To be honest, I have invested first on Real State, and then I have my stocks and now with crypto's. Real state for me is the safest of the three as the price continue to increase every year.

Stocks and crypto are very volatile and you need to be very careful and try to mitigate your risk.

And the house that I bought years ago can also be given to my children as inheritance. So I say that go get apartments or condo units and invest on them early.
8266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be fine on: March 09, 2018, 09:34:49 PM
This uncertainty has a reason that is different from what we're used to. The price drop is not caused by regular pump and dump, what can be overcome. This is really serious. Investors are afraid that cryptocurrencies will no longer be decentralized, because of the worldwide regulations that governments will come with very soon. Cryptocurrencies will be taxed and centralized and that is scary to most investors who prefer decentralized currencies.

How did you know that investors are afraid of your speculations? Yes, there are countries that are not friendly to crypto, but there's also on our side. So I will assume that there will be still balance in the cryptoverse and no amount of banning will stop this disruptive technology.

There's allot of uncertainty around bitcoin at the moment but with all of this commotion I think it's important to put this all into perspective. At the time of writing this message we are at $8700. This is 8x what it was a year ago. Another thing to remember is many people never thought they would be lucky enough to see a bitcoin dip that would put bitcoin at these lower prices. I feel lucky enough to have come into the market early enough to buy bitcoin at these extremely cheap prices. I reckon we will look back again at these times and there will be another batch of people kicking themselves for not buying bitcoin.

That's why we should take advantage of this situation. This is really a golden opportunity to purchase bitcoin and stash it in your wallet. Although everybody doesn't want bitcoin to make another price correction, it happened and we all look at the bright side and do take advantage and get it while they are cheap again and hold at least at the end of the year.
8267  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe the dumps are over on: March 09, 2018, 09:09:38 PM
The MTGox trustee should know by now that he is the most hated man on Bitcoin. If no one has told him already, he must have seen some news.

If he doesn't stop, he is going to end up dead. I don't think Bitcoin $billionaires are enjoying this shitshow. So I think from now on he is going to go OTC as he should have done, unless Nobuaki Kobayashi wants to keep gambling with his life for god knows what reason.

I predict that the next week we will see some kind of official statements of sales going OTC. The market must take around 48 hours to digest these news and a bottom will be called. Buy the dip as usual.

100% agree. This dude has been dumping since December as per reported that's why we get the clear picture right now. This bearish trend now identified who is the culprit and yeah, he is considered to be the hated man right now. He could have done OTC or work with Gemini or other trusted exchanges on how to liquidate this huge amount.

I guess this lawyer trustee doesn't know a single thing how this market operate and such action by him will cause a significant dent on the market. Or maybe he knows, but he doesn't give a f**k.

I really don't know what his intention if its done with good faith or not. But he better stop his this shit and I don't know if Japanese regulators can step in and put a temporary halt on the bitcoin slide.
8268  Economy / Marketplace / Re: 2018 forecast on: March 09, 2018, 08:40:22 PM
Wow. Another bullish prediction. I really love those bullish sentiment and prediction that comes out specially when the market is on a major correction. I think the timing is right, we have been in this bearish sentiments for more than a year now and I like people to know that we are still alive and kicking and everyone should hold for the long haul.

Currently, the market bleeds again. But we get the overall picture as to what and who and why we are going in this kind of trend for the last 3 months. A Mt. Gox trustee keeps dumping bitcoin from December up to today and liquidate to pay its creditors or debtors. Just sad though that the timing of his dumping coincides when we are just taking off. It was reported that he still has 1.6 billion more. But he better think twice and not continue to sell otherwise we might see a very sad year.
8269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges are dropping BTC price on purpose on: March 09, 2018, 08:19:54 PM
As these exchange sites are dropping BTC, all our altcoins are going dead. This is not fair. This is cheating.

The price are dropping in exchanges because there are investors who are dumping bitcoins right now. Exchanges have nothing to do with the current price movement, its us, traders and investors who make the price moves.

I hope you know that this market is based on speculation and if there are bad news that comes along, obviously investors are cashing it out resulting to the current price going south.

I suggest you do your homework and research what affects the price movement. I'm sure that you are very frustrated to see the price going down again. But you don't have to blame exchanges, blame the whale or shall I say Mt. Gox trustee from Japan who dumps $500 million worth of bitcoins.
8270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners Guide To Collecting From Faucets on: March 08, 2018, 06:45:06 PM
Hello everyone,
Just wanted to introduce myself to the community and provide a basic guide to collecting from faucets.

Before we begin I have been collecting and investing coins for a few years now, this includes purchases, day trading and mining so if there is anything you may have a question about please don't hesitate to ask. I will try my best to answer any questions you may have.

Here is the guide I quickly put together, note that it's content will probably change from time to time depending on how the sites are performing and any feedback from you all.

http://cyrptocoinfaucetguide.blogspot.com/2018/01/crypto-faucets-beginner-guide.html

Thanks a bunch!

Dude collecting from faucets is such a waste of time. I think by now you should know how difficult and time extensive this claiming from faucets are and now you are trying to spread the word and put effort to make a beginners guide. Go for trading, learn how to do it. Instead of investing time of faucet that will give you nothing but dust amounts.

I think your main purpose in creating this kind of site is to spread your referral link for those newbies like you that also uses Bitcoin faucet, Well anyways, The Faucet is not that profitable anyway. If you really do invest money, I think you already know this.

I didn't open the link so I take your word for it. Lol at the referral links. Not here dude. Go some other forums. That's why Theymos wants to really clean their forum because its a total messed already.
8271  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptoexp.com on: March 08, 2018, 06:23:43 PM
Hey guys,
i started to trade on crypto with cryptoexp, the website is https://cryptoexp.com , does anyone has any review about them? cuz i managed to make really nice money and also withdraw it the day after with no problem, but now i want to trade on bigger money! meantime everything was fast & clear... looking for recommendations! thanks guys!

I haven't heard this trading platform before, this is your post, may I ask how did you know this website anyways? I suspect that you are one investor or the owner of this and you want to promote the platform here in the forum.

And just like the 2 posters above me has pointed out, I wouldn't even put cent on that website. It's fairly new, and I haven't seen a decent review about it. All I see is Facebook https://www.facebook.com/cryptoexp/ but I'm not sure if this is their official page. So If I were you I will be cautious and not throw bigger money on them. Just be careful and heed our warnings.
8272  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-08] Bitcoin Revisits $10K After Yesterday's 10 Percent Drop on: March 08, 2018, 06:00:09 PM
Maybe the title should be changed to "Bitcoin revisits $9K and then $8K. Sadly though, I though the Binance fiasco was quickly aborted because they have done a good damage control to quell up possible picture that will turn bitcoin price to slide even further.

However, we are on another dumps, as people continue to sell as of this time and maybe tomorrow we will revisit $8K. Good thing though is that this is another perfect time to get bitcoin at a discount.
8273  Economy / Speculation / Re: can bitcoin price move up to 17k again in 2018 on: March 08, 2018, 05:27:41 PM
hey guys tell me is there any prediction that bitcoin price can move upto 17k again in 2018

Yes, there are bigger chance that bitcoin can go to $17K or even further. Its just a matter of when we are going to hit it. The beginning of this year was not that good to be honest and now the price seems to go deep and maybe we are going to hit below $9K again.

However, because of the negatives news plus some whales sold huge amount of his bitcoin causing the market to make another correction. But I'm still positive that at the end of the year, we will make a rally and probably go and test another all-time-high. So it will be bigger than $17K. It could go above $20K. Just continue to hold and don't panic specially during the correction that we are witnessing again.
8274  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin crash on: March 08, 2018, 12:45:41 PM
Yesterday, bitcoin, which is the most popular and valuable coin has dropped 6.15% so as a result of this, bitcoin is now $10,256. Earlier, in a one hour trading, bitcoin's value become $9,481.45. What's happening? What was the issue of binance because they're saying that they'll investigate because users are having issues with their funds?

Most probably the Binance issue has something to do with the recent dip plus there this announcement from SEC saying crypto Exchanges must be register with them.

And as a result, A Japanese Bitcoin Whale Has Sold $400 and that's just the start which causes a domino effect, pulling the price below $10K. That's how someone as big as one whale can significant put a dent on the market price.
8275  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to buy! on: March 07, 2018, 11:59:12 PM
I think now is the right time to buy bitcoin, a few days ago I saw a price of more than $ 11k, and now about $ 9700 and I think this is a good price to buy immediately because the price goes up.

Definitely another golden opportunity to pick up more bitcoins at a discount because the price is on the down side. But you have to look at the long haul here. I don't suggest to do day trading though, really hard and you may ended up losing more.

This dumping time for bitcoin and altcoin is a favorable for the investor and traders it is the time to buy in low cost in just an hour from now we believe price will fly again because that is the real characteristics in crypto world with this we can have take an advantage.

This is the right time to buy bitcoin because the price is DIP. But that’s if you have enough funds to buy. But I'm sure bitcoin’s value will rise again.

Of course at the end of the day bitcoin will bounce back and can go for another all-time-high. So patience is the key here. If you buy today, I wouldn't advise to see it at $11K-$12K, much better to wait for the price to at least hit $18K-$20K this year to at least double your investment.
8276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ❗ Attention Binance users ❗ on: March 07, 2018, 11:30:17 PM
All funds are safe. There were irregularities in trading activity, automatic alarms triggered.  Some accounts may have been compromised by phishing from before.  We are still investigating.  All funds are safe.
https://twitter.com/cz_binance
I think everything is in order just apparently some came across a fake site

There are several topics over the internet about this. It might be fake, I admit, but there is no harm in checking your account, right?

Correct, better be safe than sorry.

It seems that the people want to explain the current global falling on the crypto exchange markets in such a way. Now Bitcoin -10%, ostensibly the hackers are guilty. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I think it is just a temporary correction. Some investors decided to exit to fiat currency. Probably, they know the reason, why. Maybe, we are expecting a big fall on the traditional fund markets in the near future?

Of course this will be just short lived correction. Investors always to that kind of moved when the price is going down, some of them cash it out and then waited it out to see what going on with that market.  I don't think that we should be expecting a big fall. Its that this news really contributed to the downward trend that we witnessed today. If everything settles down in the next couple of days, then we are going to bounce back again. Although, the timing of this news is very bad because we have been enjoying some semblance of a rally in the last couple of weeks.
8277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Every cryptocurrency price is going down.... on: March 07, 2018, 11:16:16 PM
I saw in cryptocurrency market every coin value going down, let's talk something now about future cryptocurrency.

Oh well, crypto bloodbath in inevitable anyways. But you have to remember that any sudden dip can be attributed to some negative news around like:

https://www.ccn.com/newsflash-bitcoin-price-sinks-10-amid-binance-hack-rumors/

https://www.ccn.com/sec-chairman-fires-another-warning-shot-at-icos-as-agency-issues-dozens-of-subpoenas/

So that 2 negative news has something to do with the current downward trend. As far as the future of cryptos, I'm still optimistic that we can still regain lost grounds here. All-time-highs will be set, our investment growing overtime. If you see that the market is in red, don't panic, usually its just short lived. You just have to hold on your coins, and hold it for long term so that you can maximized your profits.
8278  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-04] The Next Generation of Politicians Will Be Crypto’s Biggest Advoc on: March 04, 2018, 08:44:41 AM
Interesting thoughts. From where I'm living, we have a lot of young politicians, as young as early to mid 30's. So I wouldn't be surprise if the net batch of politician here will be friendly to crypto as this is the new millennia and gone are the old and traditional politicians.

if this holds true then I guess we are going to see more friendly crypto nations, specially along Asia (minus China) and maybe Europe or Canada. All of this young breeds of politician are very liberal and open minded as opposed to the old generation who we all know loves stock market and the "friendly" banks.
8279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Earnings on: March 04, 2018, 07:31:25 AM
Hi guys.

Out of curiosity, what are you earning with bounty campaigns?
I think I'm somewhere near 1K USD/month, but I guess there have to be people here who are earning lots more.

Kind regards

EDIT:

As many people do not believe these profits, I will explain how I make them.

I focus on the translation campaigns (dutch). A translation pays +- 3 ETH on average. I have only started (only 1 translation has been paid, I received +-2 ETH), but as I can make up to 3 translations/month (currently working on 2 more), this would get me 9 ETH/month.  As not every project is succesful, let's say I will receive 4,5 ETH/month.

Do not focus on signature campaigns or social media campaigns, these are the crumbs (especially for members with lower ranks) while translation campaigns are probably the bread.

I use the Bountyhive platform to manage my bounty participations, this platform makes it possible to be enrolled in 10 campaigns at the same time, without having to report.

1k usd / month is not a small amount, may I know the bounty you follow? I'm not sure a Junior member's earnings can be that big, I have many colleagues who join in this forum with a high ranking and their bounty income is not as big as you say.
do not make people lulled by wishful thinking.

I am with you on this.   1K usd / month is NOT a small amount.  Sweet!  And to the original reply.  I did not know about bountyhive.   I am going to check that out now.  I am always learning something from this forum.  Thanks!

Yeah. $1K is already huge amount per month. But there are members here who get more than that from bounties alone. I myself haven't done any bounties yet, but when I looked at the spreadsheet of those completed campaigns, I was amazed to see more senior and members up receiving a lot. Just 2 nights ago I saw some Legendary member getting around almost $10K in a bounty. So that's about $2K/month. Lol. That was a huge payday. Only thing is that the campaign lasted for several months.

But just like they say, if you have the resiliency to stay and didn't switch campaign, then at the end of it, you will be rewarded handsomely.
8280  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekend disaster? on: March 04, 2018, 07:06:45 AM
Have you noticed something mysterious in crypto price: weekend disaster.

The most price drops tend to happen on weekends.

During weekends, price almost certainly drops, sometimes even crash. Price rarely goes up on weekends. Especially on Sundays. You may look at the price chart of major coins, BTC BCH ETH LTC .. in the last 3 months, which all seem to confirm this.

Why?Any explanation?

No. It's always been the trend coming into weekends. One reason I speculate is that traders, just cash out and take home profits. Maybe some of them are going to buy something, taking a weekend vacation with their love ones or families. And its always like that. I think you will also noticed that in stock market if I'm not mistaken.

I also noticed that in the beginning of my journey in trading and come up with my own conclusions. But I think others would agree on me though. I myself do some selling at the end of the week so that I can enjoy weekends with my families from the profit that I got from my trading / investing portfolio.
