*technical lead over bitcoin *fast confirmation time *Accepted at steam
Sorry but many other coins have the features you mentioned as well. I love litecoin but the fact remains, other coins have better features like: *technical lead over litecoin *faster confirmation time than litecoin *accepted at more merchants than litecoin Im happy for litecoin's success but I don't see any new innovations that will change the cryptocurrency world. I'm buying into the LTC pump but only to increase my BTC.

Thanks for reply. From where i can get overclocking or under voltage guidance or any link
Google is your friend when it comes to learning about mining. There is an overabundance of resources in the form of articles, blogs, and even videos on how to setup your mining rig. But in general, the overclock or undervolt settings will depend on the coin you are mining. Below is a quick guide i found by spending 5 seconds on google. It should help you get started with mining Ethereum. http://www.legitreviews.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1070-ti-ethereum-mining-performance_199622

Looking for the cheapest board known to support 6 GPUS. I am in Canada and the best i can find right now is the Biostar TB85 for about 100 CAD (That is about $78 USA). Just wondering if there are any cheaper boards out there that i may be overlooking as i would really prefer not to but a Biostar board. heh Thanks The suggestions people mentioned are great, I personally would recommend the BIOSTAR TB250s as well since i've been using them flawlessly in 2 of my rigs months now. However, i'd also like to ask why you are limiting yourself to a 6-GPU motherboard when it would be much more efficient to build a rig on as 12-GPU or even a 19-GPU motherboard? Just some food for thought.

My main question was if I could get at least a ROI for my rig if I start mining right now. that's what worries me most Nobody will be able to give you a YES or NO answer because there are so many factors that need to be considered. You may be the best person to answer your question once you are able to compute all your costs, expenses, and projected revenue. The best I can do to help you is to say, I believe its work the risk. Unlike investing directly into buying the coins, building a mining rig means you have an asset that will not suddenly disappear. You don't really need 100% ROI when you come to think of it because GPUs will never lose value esp. the newer ones. They have other uses other than mining and gamers will always be there to buy them from you.

If you regret not buying into altcoins, i on the other hand, regret the opposite. I've been investing in altcoins for the past 3 months and most of them have now left me with less BTC than I could have had in the first place. Some picks were really bad, but in general almost all altcoins have suffered losses because of the surge in bitcoin price. I expect the trend to continue because bitcoin is the only currency that seems to be picking up massive adoption. So yeah, don't regret not buying into altcoins. It could be worse.

I'm running 17 fans from a seperate power supply. I think it draws around 100W in total? So not so bad. The whole machine is pulling 1300W in total, that's for the monitor, fans, GPU's, etc.
Although 100 watts would already be a 1060 or 470/480 consumption, not bad! Hows the noise on this thing? Does the server case lessen the sound? I'm considering getting an entire server case myself since people around me are starting to complain about the noise. Any case specs that you could recommend?

I just started mining in July this year. We (my wife and I) got the parts build a 6 x 1070 rig on July 22, we got all the 1070 cars for $399 each and had it up and running 3 hours later.
How difficult are the AMD rigs compared to the Nvidia rigs.
Please sell me on a AMD rig for Cryptonight! or another algo (maybe get another nvidia rig?)
Thankds
AMD rigs may involve a bit more configuration because of the need for BIOS mods and whatnot but the primary trade-off is that you get more hashrate and less power consumption. Of course it will depend on your GPU but generally its safe to say its more profitable. Like what previous posters said, I personally recommend the Vega 56s, if you can get them at around $500.

Running multiple GPU rigs is the norm because it's most profitable. With a single GPU, its more of like your GPU is also shouldering the electricity costs of your mobo, storage, etc. That doesn't mean that you won't earn anything tho. It's not just that efficient.
This is why companies like ASUS even build motherboards that can support up to 19 GPUs.

Hello, I'm actually mining with at 27kh/s on nanopool but it's seems that I get incorrect earning. Im supposed to earn between 2500 ETN /DAY using current difficulty and 1800 ETN /DAY using 24h difficulty average. But Im around 1200 PER /DAY. Im sure its not about luck because nanopool ETN got 70Mh/90Mh of the network hashrate.
Is it a scam or a bug ?
Do you know a better pool ? How can I solo mine electroneum ?
Thanks
Where in the world did you get 2500 ETN/day? Thats a bit too high even from last week's difficulty. You may be using a very outdated calculator. 1200 ETN/day is just about right for 27 kh/s right now. I've done some calculations for you on whattomine.com. Here is a direct link to the estimate daily: http://whattomine.com/coins/213-etn-cryptonight?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=27000&p=330.0&fee=35.0&cost=0.1&hcost=0.0&commit=Calculate

You will not be able to mine any Ethereum doing solo mining. Even if you had more than 100 AMD GPUs estimates you would have to wait years just to find a single ethereum block. You will need to join Ethereum mining pools like nanopool.org or ethermine. I highly recommend you do more research. Google has a wealth of knowledge on how to start mining and this topic is extensively discussed.

Yes because this is probably working as expected. Notebooks/laptops are not really designed for mining or intense gaming because of their sleek and thin nature. They are meant to be used on the go and running intense tasks on them will really cause parts to overheat. Since notebooks lack the advantage of having fans and better cooling, the Nvidia notebook drivers you mentioned are probably throttled down to reduce the chance of overheating.
It is therefore recommended that you do not use your notebook to mine. Even if it has a 1070. You may end up breaking it before you even get close to ROI.

hi my name is Chris am from Manchester Uk good to be a member am new to this am looking to buy 6 GPU for mining would love to find the best one for mining pls if any one as any good feed back would be very great full the ones on my list are am looking around £500 each ( i think )
1- MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING X 8Gb GDDR5 2-Asus Strix NVIDIA GTX1070 8GB GAMING GDDR5 3-Asus Turbo NVIDIA GTX1070 8GB GDDR5 4-MSI Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8Gb GDDR5
this is the ones iv bin looking at thanks for any info received
The cards you listed are pretty much the same (especially #1 and #4). The difference in brand/manufacturer is quite insignificant if you are looking at long term projections anyway. But if you ask me, i'd go for the MSI. I have one rig full of MSI cards and they've been the most stable so far. I understand there are more factors to consider when going for stability but my observation is just that my MSI rig goes for around 5 days without a single restart/reboot issue.

It also depends on the memory size (4gb vs 8gb) of your RX 470/570. How so? My rx 470 4gb cards hash at around 700-710 h/s while my rx 470 8GB cards hash around 770-780 h/s.
Although currently, because of the nice spike in Ethereum's price and based on whattomine.com, Ethereum is still the most profitable coin to mine with these cards.

I agree to most posts saying that the 1080ti is the king of nothing. There are lots of cards with lower retail prices and better hash rate-power efficiency (like for example the Vega 56). While some continue to argue that density is important and all that, I challenge those people to do the actual math behind it. I don't have time to post my computations here but the cost of density is not worth it. Just get more vegas and build more rigs. You will even end up earning more.

@sideETH Congratulations that rig looks pretty sweet. I'm guessing that is almost, if not already, sound proof? Just one question tho, doesn't all the effort and additional electricity costs the extra fans still make it worth it?
Hopefully electricity costs cheap from where you are mining. An open air rig could do the same without the need for an external fan.

For what it counts, i'm vouching for Bitcloak. Just mixed some bitcoin using their and everything went smoothly. Thank you for this simple and easy to use service.
Mixers are an important aspect in keeping our bitcoin transactions private and I hope services like this remain active. I encourage people who use/have used Bitcloak to post about the excellent service here as well.

I think you mean this was taken from their twitter account (twitter.com/electroneum) because i checked their main website and blog at electroneum.com and could not find any news pointing to this. Anyway yeah, we finally get access to our ETN tokens. I predict it will dump for the first few hours but then eventually continue to rise in value.
I never expected i would still be holding value in such an unreliable company, but yeah i'll still be hodling. What is everyone else going to do with their ETN?
