921  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hello everyone here. I am a new to this forum. on: January 24, 2022, 09:34:09 AM
Welcome to the forum, @zackmark99!

I hope you enjoy and maximize your time here in the forum on exploring and learning many things. As you go through different sections, you will surely discover a lot, that could help you realize and specify what you want to achieve in here. So, come here and read around, and don’t forget to get familiarize with the rules and how merit system works to get a good profile for this will surely help you also.

This forum is bit hard but I'm trying....  Grin Grin Grin
What's the need for the good profile here ?
If it is about learning from other people talks, then what's the catch ?
I'm just trying to under stand it better, hope you don't mistake me if my questions are silly..

In my opinion, what makes your profile good is your contributions. If they are useful and safe then your profile becomes good. Don't bother too much about earning "Merit" else you may be discouraged even when you are making good/safe and useful contributions.. You will likely earn merit you deserve once in a while when you make good contributions without expecting merits/rewards.
Our purpose here is to contribute to any good thing Bitcoin/crypto related. If you want to stray a little bit away from crypto discussions then post on these sections of the forum: "Off-topic", "Politics & society" , "Serious Discussion" etc. Your contributions on the sections should also be useful and good.

If You don't know much about Bitcoin or crypto you can learn from those who understand it better than you do. Those who actually understand it wouldn't make it complicated for you unless they are too selfish.
922  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do you betting online ? on: January 24, 2022, 08:52:41 AM
Personally, I'm not good at sport betting, though a good friend of mine actually earns enough from betting that he doesn't have to work. He has been blacklisted by some bookies but there are literally plenty of trusted casinos online like ]우리카지노 these days so he's coping well.

I think it quite easy to succeed as sport bettor/predictor in fair games... unfortunately the world is so dumb to understand that lots of people could succeed in it and use it to better society.
The intolerant ones have kind of suppress that particular area with lies while making it hard and unsafe for those born to be predictors to play their role in that particular area.
If it hadn't been more about making money, we'll likely see lots of talented bettors in sports and other areas and the risk will be much low and it would become unfashionable and less likely to be called gambling
923  Other / Off-topic / Re: Could time travel destroy bitcoin? on: January 05, 2022, 02:55:30 PM
The topic may be strange, but more than once I think what I would do if I could go back in time is the purchase of large amounts of BTC in 2009.
I just wonder if if I had spent $ 20k on them, would it help or hurt. I wouldn't necessarily have time to prepare before such a trip, so I might not know the results of the draws etc - after that, it is much easier then to get the butterfly effect.

Time travel not possible in the natural world without the CREATOR doing it.... maybe through some sort of Hyper Grace where everyone who messed up in the past is made to start afresh at a particular point in time and probably have some bits of memory of what happened in the past. I doubt they will be allowed to jump to/fro the past & future like it's done in sci-fi movies...unless maybe they are at the side of existence where people are not limited by the natural world. That Side of existence would definitely be the Good side and would be for those who are close to the CREATOR. A side where you wouldn't be allowed to cheat to the extent of knowing what Bitcoin will be worth in the future and taking advantage of the information by investing huge sums of money.

I think people limited/controlled by the world could be deceived in multiple ways, into thinking they traveled through time though. And if Bitcoin was plucked from tree or wasn't scarce, I guess they would be given loads of it cheaply in the fake time travel conditions and told to travel to the future to sell some for higher price.
924  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avalanche [AVAX] can really get a famous platform for DeFi, store of value + NFT on: December 09, 2021, 10:03:24 AM
I think if a true cryptocurrency could copy the multi-chain idea without necessarily using it PoS consensus mechanism, it will do better.

Besides , the project owners can't stop anyone for copying the idea because it definitely did not come from them.
925  Other / Off-topic / Simple way to avoid or prevent a swift takeover of the original Cryptocurrency on: December 09, 2021, 09:38:21 AM
Prioritize on the deserving leaders/Leader and watch how quick things get back to normal. Don't let them attempt to defund him/her/them while expecting that things will go well for you.
It's really a shame that a leader will be abandoned or insulted for no Just reason. Who has he ever abandoned or insulted?

Remember, we are in the high sea faraway from the system of slavery.
926  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do NFTs Hold true value? on: December 09, 2021, 09:23:35 AM
The true value depends on the problem it can solve for you and others. If it solves no problem that likely means it has no value and doesn't deserve the amount of money that's poured in it.
If it's art based NFT, the art should be useful to you and others, otherwise don't make money from it.
I guess lots of people have not yet realize that benefitting from something they do not deserve has its consequences. Everyone needs to be contributing something useful and good to society.
927  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't judge people based on 'appearance' on: December 08, 2021, 04:50:20 PM
No need to involve God on everything, its just a basic thing that colour or religion or nationality of a person doesn't decide their characters but moat people judge with the way how we look and how we talk and where we are from.

I will be more careful with someone from a terrorist nation that someone from a peaceful nation. That is my mindset. It may be wrong but that is the way I see it. I do not like to doubt my instincts. It is the same way I feel not threatened when in the midst of children than when am in the midst of hard drug sniff looking adults. I do judge alot of that based on appearance.

Which would you rather use to develop a reliable model or algorithm for solving crime in the world: appearance-based judgment or judgment based on past and present behavior/words/deeds?

I think if we have to stick to what we believe in to the end, people would be more careful what they believe. I do not believe in appearance based judgment... I stick to the other
928  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of BTC in the metaverse? on: December 08, 2021, 04:17:50 PM
Will probably be as useful as Bitcoin/crypto is on typical Internet... Fiat will likely be favored by governments for controlled Metaverse. I think true cryptocurrency will thrive on well decentralized Metaverse.
929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: December 08, 2021, 10:30:58 AM
Lots of people have said "We are Satoshi" for some reason that is probably reasonable, what I do think is ok, responsible or reasonable is trying to claim satoshi for evil reasons.   The intention/reason alone can disqualify or qualify the satoshi wannabes.  I guess if you try to achieve what the true satoshi wants and succeed, people could call you satoshi rather than you calling yourself satoshi.
930  Economy / Economics / Re: Transforming skill to profit. on: December 08, 2021, 10:11:25 AM
In my opinion, what's more important is need to be profitable with our talents. Profit doesn't necessarily mean earning more money, it is putting the talent into good use and achieving results that's good and beneficial to society/others.    I use mine independently and I do not stop until result is achieved. I honestly don't expect rewards from those my talents benefit because that can't be guaranteed. I get the rewards from the GIVER of the talents.
I actually have couple jobs i earn from in this manner.

Don't judge people based on 'appearance'

But I have to, or  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5362774.0  won't let me in.

Cool

Well, you don't do what is wrong in order to be accepted or loved by others. Best to please the CREATOR first before people... And whatever you do for others has to be pleasing to HIM.

Our judgements have to be right and based on the fruits of others. According to the scripture, a good tree cannot produce bad fruit neither can a corrupt/bad tree produce good fruits. If a bad tree appears beautiful, alot of people would think it's the good ones...but the wise will examine the fruits it produce or whether it's even producing atall.
We can for example judge a poster by his/her posts and determine what kind of tree he/she is. The foolish would judge based on the race, country of the poster.
932  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF I SEND BTC TO A FRIEND/FAMILY, DOES IT MEAN THEY CAN KNOW MY WALLET BALANCE? on: December 07, 2021, 04:28:28 PM
One of the ways this issue can be solved is probably by sending via a Private Address that doesn't reveal the contents of the wallet to recipient of fund.  The private address could only be known to recipients also. Guess this can be implemented on Bitcoin without a hardfork
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $550,000 gambling on sports this month on: December 07, 2021, 10:00:23 AM
We always see people post about losses, but I won $550,000 this month betting on sports (soccer mostly), and it has truly changed my life! I mostly bet on total goals and match winner! Would love to know if anybody else has experienced this level of success!  Smiley

If truely you gambled(took big risk) and won this big, beware it not a good idea to gamble(or take big risk) in bets because you may not be lucky next time and could lose more than you won.
Better to bet with little to no risk/money and gradually increase your betting amount as you become consistently profitable by learning to bet right and win
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why people gone crazy about satoshi on: December 07, 2021, 09:39:39 AM
But Bitcoin unit(satoshi) is named after him.
I think we could just respect his privacy without necessarily forgetting him.  There is the tendency to ask who created Bitcoin whenever you understand how very useful and well built it is. So, we can always give him credit whenever we experience such moments. It ok we give respect to whom it is due even if he/she doesn't want it.
935  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as enforcer of responsibility on: December 07, 2021, 09:18:13 AM
Well, Bitcoin should not compete with the fiats for citizens even though it's OK if does that without becoming immoral (or worse than fiat). It's voluntary and alternative way people around the world can store and transfer values with one another. I'm more interested in seeing Bitcoin benefits the Nations currencies in a good way. The benefit should be mutual, assuming fiat has something good worth copying or benefitting from.
936  Other / Off-topic / Re: Don't judge people based on 'appearance' on: December 07, 2021, 09:00:00 AM
I believe it's the Will of our... .

Same way they have been trying to paint cryptocurrency to be evil some ignorant peeps.

Not surprised... In the evil system Evil is typically Good while Good is Evil. It's a lying/deceptive system.
* I'm speaking for True Cryptocurrency based on Satoshi's Model for Bitcoin.
It should be open-source/transparent, immutable, decentralized, based on fair rules, privacy-friendly/anonymity-friendly, driven by public consensus, deflationary, permissionless, etc.
937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Childrens Wallets on: December 03, 2021, 04:38:23 PM
I would like to set up a wallet for each of my kids and start saving accordingly.  I am not sure it is the best idea to create new accounts with DEX's under my name where the future owner will be my kids.  Any ideas on best practices a for this?

I think what matter is to have the seed phrase or private keys. The name you use for registrating them on a decentralized platform wouldn't matter as far as I can tell. If your kids control the keys, they can use they keys on another platform/wallet and your name will not appear on their accounts.

You could also lock the funds for certain period of time to prevent them from withdrawing when you give them the keys. The locking of the fund wouldn't prevent you or them from always sending or adding more money to the addresses/accounts
938  Other / Off-topic / Earning real merit & getting powered up from the Kingdom of Light on: December 03, 2021, 03:58:20 PM
There are very important things most people don't know about this life, one of which is merit-like rewards that comes from the Holy Kingdom. It actually comes from the CREATOR of Heaven and Earth and is guranteed to those who fear HIM and do what is right.
This merit can be used as Power in both spiritual and physical Worlds. It makes all other human rewards insignificant and worthless because it can be used to do alot of things that the human rewards can't do, and it can't be abused/misused.

Strive to earn that kind of reward or merit by doing what is truely right, you will be rewarded and the reward is with alot of Power. I don't always use this power because I want don't want it to feel like I'm cheating or like I'm always bothering the GIVER. It's typically used when absolutely necessary.
939  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Omicron token gained 900% after WHO name-new variant on: December 03, 2021, 10:41:28 AM
I think it simply use the word or people summoning it as energy to power itself. That's quite similar to how people use trending keywords to make money on the internet. Quite easy to be very wealthy on the internet, especially if you can predict next keyword or get people to use a keyword(with potential to trend) that's connected to your business, but I'm not sure how moral that's.
If the token name really existed before it was given to a virus, then I think it's just lucky and may not have done wrong in that regard
940  Economy / Economics / Re: Debt super-cycles and bitcoin on: December 03, 2021, 10:20:31 AM
Ofcourse. Government and others should always lend right.
This should be taken into consideration by loan givers. You don't give loans or credit to businesses/people who won't put into good use and make a good return at the right time. I think such businesses or people could be easily discovered by their spending history/habits, how they make decisions (or how they solve problems) and how profitable they were. So,  don't blame just the borrower when something goes wrong.
And it's important to be careful lending money to those who use it for evil purpose, whether they are profitable or not. You are only helping them to create problems for our world. Only lend to those who are fruitful or bear good fruits. The world economy doesn't really care about this truth. what it's mostly concerned about is profits whether good or bad.
