The following is probably the most professional modular / container build I've seen in the industry (disclaimer: we didn't test it yet)
The only reservation I have is the price.

Looks pretty nice although I would have to say the datatank is still my favorite.

Speaking of which, did you ever get to test any rockerbox miners with 2 phase IC?
We shipped SP30 to AC, it got messed up in shipping. We can ship another one if Alex will ask us.

Edit: We have customers that use grcooling solution.

If you're not RawDog, I apologise in advance.

I love this a company making a joke out of something.  Got a laugh never saw this before.

Is there a limit on these? Smiley
No, you can buy as many as you want.

Edit: This way, Dogie's Mix ranking on pre-order for us will be justify  Wink

The options that can be added would include:

Monitoring and management - KubeOS to monitor all servers and infrastructure with alerting and device management
Environmental monitoring - door sensors, temperature, humidity, dew point, airflow, smoke alarm, water sensors
Automation - fully automated fan control based on temperature feedback to minimize power usage and adjust to environmental conditions.
Remote Power cycle of PDUs
Supplemental cooling - evaporative cooling unit bolts on in front of filters for locations with ambient temperature above 30C
Firewall
Automatic Transfer Switch - to switch between two different power feeds
Novec 1230 fire suppression system
Security Cameras
Security Card access control - Extra trackable security on each door
VESDA fire detection system - Early warning industrial fire detection

All of these options would feed back into the KubeOS system and can all be monitored, graphed, and alerted on threshold breaches.  The system also has two way communication and is capable of basic management of devices in the data center like remote power cycling, turning lights on and off, unlocking doors remotely or adjusting fan speeds.

A function that is still missing with the last firmwares; is a proper 'start' of the ASICs that failed tests below a known temperature.

With the last firmwares the 3 ASICs of the same loop are disabled, and they are never turned on; We must disable the troublesome one, and wait for the temperature to rise.

We are in winter; Have you a fix for this issue?

Thank you for the post. Please also email support@ to have the firmware enhancement request tracked.

Alright no luck with that either. Getting pretty tired of this thing already. I'm going to call it a night and try to get it to work some more tomorrow.
Dima from our team will contact you regarding the DHCP issue.

You're wrong regarding BitFury. Dogie gave them F in Ethics which means they're operating a farm.
BitFury are operating over 40MW of farms, in Georgia, Iceland and Finland.
They're very proud of this fact, for example: http://vimeo.com/104009961
In Bitcoin mining, if a company operates a farm it competes with it's consumer. IMHO, giving 2 points penalty for BitFury mega industrial scale mining operation is way too law.

As I wrote, we've reached stock on all our products line, which means no more people waiting on pre-orders.
We still have small percentage (about 2%) of customers to refund on the spec change. It will be done this month.

Guy

Ah, i missed that F thing, fare enough.

i don't know what dogie thinks is the diffrence between  "F = Operates own mining farm" and "FF = Operates own large mining farm"

and no more pre-orders left for you, fare enough..

did you finalize the pre-orders last month or 2? that maybe why you still have that score, its past tense.
your score has increase since last time, so i wouldn’t complain, be better then the others, you will rise above them.

Question is, next lot of hardware you make, or you going to advertise and take orders before final construction? (aka pre-orders), or are you going to build a stock and sell them there and then?

Hell, at least you haven’t tested your miners on animals! Tongue

on the other hand, you could just ignore this whole thing and run your business without even consolidating this list, Test the miners on animals, sell everyone a bit of paper with "I O U MINER" on it, ignore everyone’s problems and sell the crappiest chunks of scrap, then call yourself the best company, and run off with everyone’s money till the feds come after you!

tl:dr, it was the preorders that wrecked your score and BitFury is on the way down
Please read the last few pages here. The FF was discussed and the fact that we won't take pre-orders on our 3rd gen and why.
Testing on animals wasn't discuss.

A static ip on what, my router - my secondary router that is acting as a bridge between my first routers wifi and the ethernet that is connecting the to the miner, or the miner?

Static ip on miner.

You might want to review your main router dhcp setting. Sometimes if the optional field is left blank(default gateway & dns) some devices can not connect properly.

By using the same settings that allowed me to have the miner connect to the internet before (laptop network bridge, dhcp server running on bridge) i am now not able to connect to my miner and edit its settings. I am starting to feel like there is something up with this miner.... I've been trying to get it to work for around 10 hours total now and am getting pretty tired of it.

I'll put some more time in tomorrow, I appreciate all the help.
Dima from our team will PM you with his email to try and help you.
If all fails, do a micro SD recovery to bring the miner to it's default state:

Final Thoughts - Overall I am very impressed with this miner so far. It runs very stable and is really easy to fine tune plus a lot of speed from a small footprint. I really have no complaints with it since I do not run it at my house. I will be buying more SP-Tech gear in the future and look forward to seeing what else these guys come up with!

Thank you for this awesome miner! I will be buying more of your gear in the future.
Thank you for the review.

Conclusion

Even though I have only had this miner 3 days, it is fast becoming my favorite.  I plan on making a fairly large purchase soon to fill out the rest of the racks.
Spoondoolies have proven themselves to be a reliable, first rate asic manufacture

Thank you again!!!

Thank you for the review.

so I guess this means they think Dogie is paid by the competition.....

There's no "think" about it - dogie is paid by the competition.

I doubt anyone would have to pay anyone anything to post the simple truth about Black Arrow.

Their customers are willing to do that free of charge, I assure you.....

Absolutely.

Everyone knows that if a reviewer is being paid by a manufacturer, he will never tell the truth about that manufacturer.

Isn't that right dogie?  Wink
I don't think it's fair towards Dogie.
The guide isn't perfect and I have my reservations which some of it I posted.
Specifically, I find it very annoying that BitFury, which I consider bad for the ecosystem is so highly ranked. I think that self mining on industrial mega scale should be punished severely in ranking.

I think that Dogie is doing an honest work. Nobody is perfect and erring is human.

Diaclaimer: we send Dogie review units of all our miners and he work hard - hours - on preparing the guides.

Guy

just remember, this is what the actions are with the companies and actions to the consumers, at the present time. its not a all round thing since the day they started. Basically, dogie has marked BitFury as not doing any mining now, unless there is evidence that they are now, the score stays the same.

now the question i have for you, Spondoolies-Tech, is you have sold pre-orders, and them pre-orders are still in effect? do you still have customers that are waiting on orders? once they are filled out, and you're not selling anymore pre-orders, your score will change.

now, if you are going to claim you do not have anymore people waiting for orders, we would like to see that.

Just a disclaimer, I'm not following your side of the world Spondoolies-Tech, i don't know what you're doing, other then you have hardware that i'd never buy (way outside my price range). so i know nothing other then you do have people still in pre-order status.

so the only way i have been able to get mine to work is by connecting it to my laptop with a network bridge and a dhcp server running on the bridge. Thats not something i can have running all the time.

i purchased another router and am using that to bridge my wireless connections, and have that connect the miner to its LAN slots - this does not work with the routers DHCP enabled or disabled.

I tried a network bridge on my raspberry pi - this did not work either

I tried using the devices onboard usb slot with a wifi dongle, didnt work.

No idea what to do, im going to keep messing with the router I purchased though
Can you sniff with wireshark the router and SP20 DHCP negotiation?

i could try but i have no idea how
Ok, it will wait to our support on Sunday.
See if the router has DHCP related parameters and if so, try to tweak them.

The second set of chips get hit with warmer air, but not +40C hotter.

Ok, my intake is about 40c, and exhaust is about 80c, so the back chips are getting +20c air. It significant enough that they are downclocked 200 MHz as a result of the hot air from the front chips.

Every system has tradeoffs. In the SP3x series as well, the cooling solution isn't symmetric.

In case of the SP10, with the shared heatsink, the cooling was more symmetric.

The RockerBox ASICa with the FCBGA package aren't suitable for shared economocial heatsink. Mechanical stress, etc.

The system may be tweaked for better results. The entire software is open source as well.

Disclaimer: Modifying will cause a warranty lost.

As Spond is here, what would be a most likely cause of chip working temp difference such as this (considering that voltage is very close between units)?

Back ASICs.

I'll wait for official confirmation from SP-TECH!
Interested in more than 1 unit.

I have email with SP-TECH confirmation but i will not make it public without autorization, i can ask some SP-TECH member to reply here if they don´t mind

As faster as i get confirmations of the units, faster i will finalize the order and send them to you

I will request a small amount in BTC for reservation, going to ask Ognasty if he can make escrow for us

I will keep everyone informed about payment and order status, also post details of the order tracking

As soon as the order arrives i will post photos of the order and Ship the Units same day to you

I will update initial post with all details as soon as i get confirmation from both Ognasty and SP-TECH member
