961  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: FortuneJack Provably fair games are NOT FAIR on: December 18, 2023, 04:57:12 PM
Hi BitcoinTalk Community,

I was exploring one of the oldest crypto casino websites FortuneJack and normally I play games like Dice/Mines and some others so i went and started to check them out on the site and what i discovered that 99% of them are NOT provably fair. They give you Client/Server seed but there is no way to calculate the result of your game. So i tried using third party ones like stake and some other ones and none of them gave me the same result. I went ahead and contacted support and they confirmed that for now they dont have a script to calculate the actual result of the game. Which means that all of their games that are advertised "Provably fair" are actually not fair at all and as much as we know they could be manipulating the outcomes.

I am attaching the screenshots of the conversation with support proving my point.

I think you missed the part where they confirmed that they don't have a script to calculate the hash? Perhaps on the first screenshot? Given your first and third are the same one [the chronology hinted that the order of the screenshot is as what I posted below and what's missing should be the first one. Can you please reupload that part of the conversation?

962  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [INFO} Be aware of https://privnote.co/ on: December 18, 2023, 10:34:19 AM
You've got to know privnote.co is a site which's copied to look like privnote.com. It's trying deceive ppl to send private info which's going to be intercepted by scammers who'll steal your info. If you're sending private keys or passwords they'll hack them. It's important to say privnote.com provides a service it's a legit business.

Yes, they know, that's basically what's being discussed here, that the site copied the original one. And no, it didn't work that way, sending private keys or password. They change the address you wrote on the message with their own, thus the fund sent by the recipient of the message will actually arrived at the scammer's wallet instead of the original message owner.

So the rules changed half-way. If the casino is the one that changed the rules, it should allow users who registered before such rule was made to clear their accounts and stop gambling, or undergo KYC.

I bet that many of these people who just want to play a game or two, aren't aware that their money will be confiscated by the casino on the slightest infraction.
[...]

By this logic, OP's situation actually didn't favor him, because the rule has been established for around two years, and I think OP made his account only recently, thus signed up when the rules has been changed.

I noticed OP was not returned online both on this forum or on CG to address the development of the situation. I wonder if he finally did the KYC and got his account reinstated.
964  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OWL.GAMES CASINO - SCAM!!! on: December 17, 2023, 11:22:47 AM
As other said, please upload the screenshots as evidence, it'll help to build a basis of your case. Meanwhile, this part caught my attention,

[...] All the documents I uploaded are real!!! The only time I blinked was when I uploaded the wrong picture. THAT'S IT.  [...]

what exactly do you mean by uploaded a wrong picture for KYC? Like you mistakenly upload your friend's photo instead of yours? How?

SO be very very careful out there! Also on another note....I tried the google search the same way I did on my phone and that top results was actually the real site...not sure why the fake one comes on my cell though

The fake one is an ad, they paid some amount to google so their site can be shown on the top most result. Since google did not filter out scammers, it's a very common practice used by crypto scammers and phishing site to rob their victim. This is why crypto users, especially mixer users, are... ehm, I mean are-but-soon-will-be-were always encouraged to consult to the forum before they deal with a site they found on google search result, since scammers use this trick very often.
966  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betnomi | Project status & Refund Plan! on: December 17, 2023, 10:51:13 AM
So we have come close to the end of this saga. They received a significant number of applications for refunds, and now all that is left is to inform us about the fulfilled obligations.
Is there anyone who received a refund from Betnomi, of course, they are a member of the forum from before and not a newly registered account?
[...]

May I suggest we also ask for GekkeBelg's input? He's quite... vocal on the gambling section, and I think his first hand experience on this refund plan can be trusted, given he had submitted his request around a month ago.

Gekke, did you get anything yet?
967  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.Game SCAM: cancelled bonuses and revoked $150k+ USD balance on my account on: December 16, 2023, 09:04:21 PM
I received a PM to check a new case too.
BitcoinGirl.Club mentioned a new case, but I haven't looked into it.

Updating you both with the aforementioned case of Vainica, in case you both did not follow the thread and thus missed the follow-up I just made. The case was closed [verdict: rejected] by the request of the OP. With this, I think there's currently no more active case against BC.

OP, sorry to have a quite OOT post.
968  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BC.Game not taking Responsible Gaming or Problem Gambling seriously on: December 16, 2023, 08:51:30 PM
Just want to update everyone who follow and overseeing this case, OP raised his complaint to CG and... ask it to be rejected. I'm honestly confused, he raised a complaint, every conversation was made private by his request, and then he ask the case to be closed rejected. There's nothing we can learn from that CG's thread, literally.

Anyway, I think by that outcome on CG, it's safe to say that this case is also resolved.

969  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcasino.io won't let me cashout my money on: December 16, 2023, 04:22:30 PM
In a way, yes, this is the same "double spend" on blockchain, the suspect send some fund into the casino and to other platform with the same token. Usually platforms have countermeasure for this by requiring some confirmations before crediting the account with the fund.

OP, did you send them during congestion? Did you rebroadcast your transaction or something like that?
I think they should just scrap off zero confirmation deposits. They should only credit accounts after at least one confirmation to avoid such scenarios in the future.

If I get this clearly
When a casino credits one's account on zero blockchain confirmations this means a player can bet as soon as possible. If he wins the bet, he will try to ensure the transaction gets confirmed for the winnings. If he loses, he will double spend the transaction and no deposit will arrive.

This is a loophole that Bitcasino should address if indeed they allow players to bet on Zero blockchain confirmations.

They already do this, requiring more than 0 confirmation to process the transaction... except for ripple and cardano. For BTC, they require 3 confirmations. I guess this issue came because of the congestion and OP tried to rebroadcast the transaction and accidentally considered as a double spend.

Is this the same on how "double spend" works on blockchain network what are they trying to imply? Sounds like a rig decision.
Quote
"if you win, then confirm your deposit on the Blockchain and attempt to withdraw, "
Can you play if your deposit is not yet confirmed in the network, is this allowed on their site?

Yet. Not on a campaign yet.

But that's his ultimate goal, to regain his lost on Rollbit through signature campaign, so I guess the aim was to chase merit to rank-up. I was overseeing his case v. rollbit from the beginning, so I'm kinda familiar with the case [not with the deal, though, I think it's made behind the screen?].

And yes, been watching him since he firstly emerge on this forum, I have to say that his choice of boards are rather... uncanny for a newbie, so does several of his posts.

I was told that I'm allowed to have the chance at possibly participating in their Rollbit Campaign to earn the lost money back if I'm at the proper ranking so I guess this is my new side goal or something.
972  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcasino.io won't let me cashout my money on: December 15, 2023, 05:34:30 PM
I think I have seen a similar case before, though I am not sure if it was the same casino. I am finding trouble trying to locate that thread, so I don't if it was solved, but I would suggest you wait for a response from support

Meanwhile, did you try contacting their forum representative? They seem to have been offline for around a week, but it's worth a shot.

Perhaps you're talking about this one? It's a case where a player deposit during a bitcoin congestion, which pretty much the same as current situation. That case seems to be solved with Steve of Sportsbet [the case was with SB] asked for the account to be re-checked, given OP of the thread didn't update their complaint.
973  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 15, 2023, 05:24:21 PM
The OP is quite clearly making up the whole alleged incident but we do not know why he is attention-seeking. In my opinion he is an alt-account and certainly knows his way around the forum and has interacted with members. The way he is posting also shows him trying to show he is unaware of certain things but he cannot fool all the people reading the thread.

As he has not logged in since yesterday, hopefully he has ended this charade and it is the last we have seen of him.

Someone is coming here to make a scam accusation without knowing anything about the mixer he used, without knowing the required format he should go through in making his application, isn't all these serious enough not to trust OP himself that he's actually the scammer here and not the mixer, mixers has their own rules, if you violate any, you may be in this kind of condition you've already found yourself to be.

I think he's leaning more toward trying to stir the pot for mixers instead of looking for attention. He targetted mixers in general as his initial complaint, "clueless" about the platform that become the issue here, maybe tried to fish other people pitching in with negative experience of their own, pushed to mention specific platform and has no choice but to name one just to keep his story sounds reliable. And when confronted with his growing number of discrepancies, he pull the whole Avatar Aang move.

It was fun toying with him, though.

Meanwhile, the fact that he has not logged in, I think it's because he also follow and read this thread from his other account. Realizing that his attempt to raise a ruckus failed, he didn't bother to go back online with that account.
974  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 14, 2023, 05:43:24 PM
Nope, Mixy is not the only one. The criteria where it has something similar to "money" and had advertised here but no longer did so was also shared by WW, and WW should make more sense, given it have more massive campaign and logically reached wider audience.
It cannot be whirlwind.money. This mixer relies on a multi-signature address as all deposits go to this address https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/addresses/btc/bc1qf8h5k6sash8007vpesymxkw2xsg5d0r3j4l5vmcrwpz2pqu66fjstzgd3r The balance of this address is zero and it has not received deposits since July.
.money mixers are only Mixy and mixtura but mixtura didn't have an advertising campaign here.

You didn't read the other posts before this, do you? The guessing game is finished, CM came out as the winning platform that became the scapegoat... err, I mean the villain in this story.
975  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: JustBit.io scamming again so much for No KYC for Crypto on: December 14, 2023, 05:39:30 PM
I am not defending false advertisement but I also don't agree with what you just said. If you are underaged, then you aren't supposed to gamble. It's against the rules of online casinos and most probably against the law in the country you live in. If you live in a country where online gambling is against the law, you are breaking the law by gambling. If you don't have an ID, then we are probably going back to the first issue where you are underaged and shouldn't be gambling.

That's the important part. The casino doesn't have the right to punish you for breaking your local laws and confiscate your money because of that. Imagine that you live somewhere in Africa and they ban bitcoin there. Suddenly a casino located in Virgin Islands steals your money because they found out you're breaking your local law. This is ridiculous.
[...]

Eh? But they do have the right to "punish" those who break the local laws being mentioned above, it's part of their compliance, and it's been stated on the Tos that the user agreed, that they acknowledge they are not underaga, nor accessing from restricted country.
976  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 13, 2023, 03:40:00 PM
The OP was never interested in knowing the name of the mixer he allegedly lost $7 with while he was mixing. Or to make it more, when someone created a thread (especially Scam Accusation) and does not even provide any evidence it cannot be taken seriously.

He didn't even remember the name of the mixer, not that he followed any of their instructions. I think the most vital information is to know which mixer we are talking about, it's all speculation now. His whole theory that he came up with to spit on mixer services would fall apart if he were on a scam site.

It was CM. Quite funny... umm, I mean sad, isn't it? With all of those precaution he made, and he failed to consult to the FAQ which link was literaly at the bottom of CM's page. If only we know why OP bother to send 7 USD and concerned for the privacy of that amount.

I think you got it! Chipmixer. Monkey = chimp = chip. Funny how the brain works  Cheesy
[...] But I remember going through that list last year when I was looking up the legitimacy of the mixer before using them. It was on that list.
[...]
And holydarkness you got me invested in this way more than I was posting it haha. Thanks for your efforts 🙏 Appreciate it!

OMG!!! I'm glad we can zero it in!!! Yeaiii...!!!

It's all thanks to your big effort to dig waybackmachine [certainly because you didn't know that every posts in this forum is archived by a dedicated website], and probably some luck is being involved here, that you browse in mobile that you notice the date of the edit, because if you use desktop, you'll have to hover to the date of the post to know when did a post got edited, most likely not something a newbie will notice.

But, alas! If only you did the same effort you did now to dig that name as before when you tried to mix your coin, you'll notice the minimum amount to be mixed was specifically informed on the FAQ, just mere clicks away. Seems like a wasted effort, is it not? You spent time to look for the legitimacy of mixer, use disposable email, mask every trace, etc. to ensure your privacy, but you ultimately stumbled upon a problem just because of something that can be discovered in less than thirty seconds. Ackk...

What were you thinking at that time, anyway? Sending 7 USD? You must be in a rush? Ohh, you're a silly, silly one, aren't you? You put a big sweet-as-sugar smile in me with your clumsiness, you even did not notice the minimum amount, although you've check that thread last year during your research, and it mentioned that info?

You are not going to get your winnings. That would then defeat the purpose of their KYC request. They freeze your funds so that you have to undergo KYC, not turn them down and still get paid.
It doesn't defeat the purpose of KYC. What defeats the purpose of the KYC or AML policies is not enforcing it from the very beginning before a user deposits anything. By denying the client winnings, the casinos are giving themselves a bit of an advantage and to me, it's not right.  If the same client lost, they wouldn't care.

Granted, many casino probably use KYC to turn a situation in their favor, most likely perhaps small and questionable casino [I think this one included]. But bigger ones mostly use them fairly, to identify someone and prevent further abuse by tying an identity to some findings [IP, username, etc.]

Though I can't recall the name and the detail of the case [I think it's rollbit?], I remember there was a case where a casino refund user's deposit because he refused to do KYC. Not the winnings, as that'll defeat the purpose of the KYC/AML, like Pmalek said, but I think it's kinda fair that they returned the original fund.

As for why they didn't enforce KYC from the very beginning, one casino explained that they're always threading between legal compliance imposed into them by the govt. and the privacy of their user. Thus, they didn't enforce it until it's necessary, mostly when a ToS is brached, for the purpose explained above, and/or large sum of fund is being involved.
979  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The coin mixer advertised here stole my coins on: December 12, 2023, 05:48:48 PM

I don't remember it's name. It might have had "monkey" in its name. It's not the one being advertised now (or maybe it still is but it is not appearing to me). I'm sure there aren't hundreds of mixers that advertised here so if you or anyone can list the ones that advertised here, I am certain seeing the name again would ring a bell. This was last year. The amount they took was $7 worth at the time.
Do you mean ][banned mixer]? It's the only mixer you can describe. They had a campaign of signatures and stopped advertising.

The minimum limit for this mixer is 0.003 BTC, which is equal to $125.71 at current prices. It is a little high. I tried to mix and there is actually no warning about the minimum. Have you downloaded the letter of guarantee?

use them ANN topic to ask them about your money, they may refund you https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5457664.0 or at least add warning massage.

The criteria where it has something similar to "money" and had advertised here but no longer did so was also shared by WW, and WW should make more sense, given it have more massive campaign and logically reached wider audience. But nope, not WW. And should not be mixy either, as OP already gave this thread a read [it has list of mixers] and none rings a bell, and the thread has mixy on its list.

Right, OP? None of the mixer on that list, or anyone suggested here sounds familiar? Including any on this list suggested by NotATether? But it's not important anymore, is it? You're not really interested to know their name anymore, are you?
980  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Azbit Crypto Exchange and Crypto2Cloud Beware on: December 12, 2023, 07:45:00 AM
I think I didn't grasp your story quite perfectly, you save some money to build your dream, you have a team, hiring officers, etc. but you're still using their service to build your website and other things? Which require more funds while you already have a team that can do it for you on their payroll? Why?
OP didn't want to build an exchange from scratch, so he got in touch with a service that claimed to do so. They have different packages that are priced differently. OP opted for a package that he thought was suitable for him or his upcoming exchange, but to his dismay the so-called service did not give him the full package he had paid for on top of delays. So they kept giving him false promises and hopes until now.

He can not use the exchange to make some revenue for himself since the product is incomplete and his attempts to contact those guys to give him the source code so that he can use his devs to complete the product have been ignored, yet they keep getting some monthly payment from him. So in a way it's draining him, and yet he isn't making any money of what he invested in so far.

10/10 summary. Thank you for this, you understood what my message is

Umm... yeah, I understand this, what I am failed to understand is the logic behind it. I can understand if OP tried to cut some corners if he's limited by some resources [fund, builder, marketing staffs, etc.], but given he got all that he needs, and since it's his dream business, I think it will be better to build everything by himself, both for security reason as JG said [the backdoor and malicious code] or from the creative side of the design itself [template given by them are likely similar to other site, thus raise less confidence in customers.

Sorry OP, didn't try to be rude, or to pour any salt [and rubbing alcohol] to your wound, just... speaking my mind.

Anyway, do you mind presenting the evidence and, perhaps, edit the opening post with the format as the bottom of this post, so we can start taking proper action? You can move the current opening post into the "additional notes" section.
