Have you got any reply from Razer? He was online a few days ago to address an issue on different thread. I think if they have a mediator to facilitate sportsbet disputes, he would have told us.
No. Rollbit Razer never replied to me. I sent the PM on 12 April. I doubt he didn't see it. I guess he didn't consider it important to respond and inform me about that. That's on him.

[...]

Yeah, he should have seen your PM. Perhaps his silence was because there were no ADR that mediate disputes against them. That'll be quite a rather unfortunate situation for the other case I was attending. Without an ADR, the accuser could only relies to the licensor if Rollbit didn't answer to that thread --same situation for OP of any other future cases. I might will ask the same question you asked here on that thread if they ever replied there again. Thank you for this.
1622  Economy / Reputation / Re: Changed language in history. Bought? Hacked? on: April 23, 2023, 07:31:27 PM
please,I do not own or possess any other account, apart from this Martyns account given to me by my brother,I didn't even have Idea about the fact that account can be bought,I just heard it in the process of this issues coming up against me. As for the time I started using this account,I haven't done anything that warrant a tag on my account,I have always been contributing reasonably in the little way I can.
[...]

Uhh, wow, what a roller coaster of reading. First thing first, to be clear about why I'm here on this thread, I am not interested to rush in and giving you a negative tag, I'm more compelled to get the bottom of this situation. If you care to indulge me on several questions that crossed my mind. Might sounds stupid and irrelevant, but if you could satisfy my curiosity:

1. What did your brother and your family do in Indonesia? I understand you said he was studying in Indonesia, is he still studying? Currently working? Which part of Indonesia is this, exactly?
2. I also noticed that you said you just graduated and jobless... that put you like... early twenties? How about your brother? How old is he?
3. Now this is quite serious. The bolded part of your post I quoted, if you don't have other account, can you explain how you shared the same address as BlackViruse as unearthed by decodx here?
1623  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit disables account and seizes funds (10.2k)! on: April 22, 2023, 05:33:56 PM
Just to be clear to everyone, I have only had one account with Rollbit in my life. I have never multi accounted so there is no way Rollbit can say that is the reason.

I was allowed to deposit and withdraw for months as well and all of a sudden account is disabled out of nowhere. I typically am very courteous to support teams as I know that their jobs are quite stressful but when you receive no explanations from support about what you did wrong, I get a bit frustrated.

The lack of explanation and still no response to emails suggests that they don't care about this case and are content with keeping the funds with their 'Sportsbook abuse and the player is up so they didn't lose anything' claims.

Should I file a complaint with CEG about this or what other recourse is there?

Thanks for the help and support with this it is appreciated.

I would advise you to give a little bit more time, maybe a few days to see if Rollbit representative will come back with better explanation for the concerns and opinion raised by other members here. Far as I know, CEG would also require you to exhaust all possible means of mediation prior to submitting formal complaint to them --I might be wrong, though-- and from other case against Rollbit that I attended to, there were no ADR platform that intermediate Rollbit and also accept sportsbet-related case. So, your chance right now is either this forum or their licensor.

I still stand by my opinion that your case is probably your strategy that they consider as value betting. However, it also worth mentioning that it might be done without such intention and simply a case of innocence, and several members's input here is worth considering, that Rollbit is also partially at fault on this case, because if they don't want such "abuse", they should take a better care of their rakeback system. Thus, based on the narrative this far, the best solution is to let you get your deposit back and you both go separate ways.

But there might be more to this story that's yet to be told. I am still waiting for their representative to give a more in-depth explanation or anything that could contribute to the development of this case. Bottomline, I'm advising you to give it a few more days. But if you decide to directly escalate it to CEG, it's completely in your hand.
1624  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: rollbit scam (255 USDT) on: April 22, 2023, 01:28:38 PM
I have sent a PM to Rollbit Razer and asked him directly which mediation sites unsatisfied players can turn to when it's a matter of sport betting-related problems.
If he replies with some useful information, I will post the information here.

I share holydarkness' thoughts and believe they said what they wanted to say.

Have you got any reply from Razer? He was online a few days ago to address an issue on different thread. I think if they have a mediator to facilitate sportsbet disputes, he would have told us.

Judging from OP's lack of activity, maybe Rollbit's final say on this case has a truth behind it, but an info about sportsbetting mediator for Rollbit will be a nice info, given recently there are several active and open case against them.
1625  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have Ignore option on topics, not boards, not users? on: April 22, 2023, 09:39:08 AM
Yep, not working. Unwatched this thread soon after my last post above to test the theory, I woke up to this on my new replies page
Then don't click "Show new replies to your posts.", and use the Watchlist instead:
I don't understand why anyone would not use the watchlist. You can configure the watchlist to be exactly the same as "show new replies to your posts" by configuring your posts to be auto-watched and adding your posted-in topics to your watchlist. After this is done, you can unwatch topics that you don't want to see.

[speechless]
Oh...? Yet another feature of the forum I didn't know. Thanks for this, I'll start trying this and unwatch the old topics. If if works nicely, I might start changing habit and visit the watchlist page instead of the new replies

Edit: ahh yes. I recall now why I didn't bother tweaking my watchlist before. It's because although I've set my profile to be automatically watch topics I've posted in [it's set like that by default, if I'm not mistaken?], it still displayed a very limited threads somehow and didn't show the threads like the one on show new replies. That's why I thought the watchlist page is something that need extra configuration. Watchlist posts button clearly helps this.

1626  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have Ignore option on topics, not boards, not users? on: April 22, 2023, 09:17:14 AM
If I may add another possible benefit of what "ignore a topic" may offer, sometimes we want to leave a topic we're previously engaged on, either because the topic no longer interests us or it has turned into a meaningless discussion filled with spam posts. I am not sure there is currently a way to "remove" these threads from our "show new replies" page. The ignore a topic button would be a nice thing if it means it will remove those threads from my new replies page.
We already have a button for that, you can simply unwatch topics you do not longer want to engage or get notified on anymore.

Eh? I thought that'll just remove the topic from "watchlist" page but we'll still get the updates of the topic on the "show new replies" page? Let me try that with this thread.

Yep, not working. Unwatched this thread soon after my last post above to test the theory, I woke up to this on my new replies page

However, I personally would worry about a tool like this being a little heavy handed on the ignoring, leading to missing topics that you might actually care about just because some buzzwords were thrown around in the discussion.
You are the one who will be putting certain discussions on ignore, so do it properly. Check what the thread is about, and if you absolutely hate it, remove it from your field of vision. It shouldn't be an automatic thing that relies on keyword filtering because there would be too many issues with it.

I think what OgNasty tries to propose was the possibility that the thread we ignored because it became a mega thread or spammers nest at one point re-evolved back into a meaningful discussion.

Taking this into consideration, PowerGlove, how feasible is it to patch this ignore topic button but with the "last post [date] by [username]" still visible? I think it'll be quite signaling enough whether we should reinvest our attention into the ignored topic or not if we glanced at the author of latest reply.

I have never tested it, but maybe if you deleted all your posts in those threads, it might work!? I am just guessing. If you have no posts there, no one can reply to those non-existing posts. Hence, you won't see those replies if you click the "Show new replies to your posts" button. Huh

[...]

That might work, but I think it'll be quite troublesome if I've already made a dozen posts on that thread, initially interested on the topic because the discussion is engaging, but later on it became a mega thread filled with spam. The ignore topic button will be a very much welcome shortcut.
1628  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rollbit disables account and seizes funds (10.2k)! on: April 21, 2023, 11:39:19 AM
Hey there,

Firstly, thanks to holydarkness for letting us know about this thread!

This one is a pretty standard Sportsbook abuse case that was flagged to us by our Sportsbook provider. Specifically, they were prolifically abusing bonus features that we offer alongside our Sportsbook offering.

As OP has more or less included, they were told the same via our on-site support. This was not at the expense of the player as they finished in profit on Rollbit.

Thanks,
Razer

Hi, thank you for coming here and addressing the issue. If I may clarify and better understand the situation, my guess earlier is correct, that OP was banned because they utilize a strategy that can be considered as a value betting, in form of taking advantage offered by rakeback? I am not sure I quite understand the part of your statement I underlined. Does this means the 10.2k was not OP's fund and their deposits? And the entirety of it was what OP gained from the rakeback and value bet?

As for OP, may I know what amount you deposited on rollbit?

Problem is, why is value betting a reason to suspend an account???

Though there is no written law that prohibit it and the general consensus by internet search will mostly tell you that value betting is simply a strategy, it still frowned by most casino.

If they have a problem with him betting small odds to qualify for rakeback or whatever they could just exclude him from this kind of bonus? If you offer a bonus or whatever, how can this be abused?
If every site would do this, and every site has some kind of bonus or rake back, then nobody ever would place bets online again.

That is what I wanted to know; whether the case is specifically because OP utilize rakeback, do a value bet, or combine both. I'd like to cover all the ground before jumping into conclusion.

Also, how is it justified to take his deposits/winnings? You could just strip him of the bonus money, I doubt that's 10k$.

Those are really shady excuses to not pay the man. It's actually ridiculous.

And that, above, is what I am seeking, if you read the last part of my paragraph to Razer and the last sentence addressed to OP, I wanted to know how much exactly OP deposited without the winning and the bonuses. And from that, I'd like to propose if it's possible to take the middle way by considering OP is simply clueless and let him get his deposit back.

Edit: quoting OP for image visibility

I don't have the total I deposited and withdrew on hand, but if I were to guess I was in profit. But profit not from the value betting at all.

First and foremost I appreciate the forum and community for giving me a space to explain my side and what has happened. The goal is for me to be transparent and show the evidence I have that I was not abusing. Never in my life would I think betting for value is considered abusive when they put odds up for players, but anyway here we are.

I have some points I want to address down below to give more perspective.

1. As I stated before, It is completely ok for me to lose 5k or 2k on bets at 1.003 odds but when they are winning, then it becomes abuse? I have lost plenty of bets at these low odds but Rollbit is fine when that happens.

Link to more bets that lost -

This lost bet was for 3k on 1.003 odds^. If it wins, I'm abusing, but if it loses it is ok...

2. This 'value betting' was not all the betting that I did nor did it make up most of winnings! Majority of my bets and wins were at higher odds for LOL, Dota and other sports such as UFC, Basketball. Two days prior to my account being banned I was betting on 1.3-2.5 odds for Dota and made over 3k back that I lost when I lost some bets on 1.003 odds (The above bet). Bet history would PROVE that as well as the photos that I can show you here.

Links to my bets recently with various odds -

As you can see, I was betting on such a variety of sports and odds with a lot of those winnings coming from this. I can post more of my bet history if that would help my case too... I want to establish that I am not just winning bets on one particular thing. Those wins above are over 3k just there!

3. With their remark that 'because I am in profit is enough to keep funds' doesn't make sense. Saying this is 'Pretty standard sportsbook abuse case', I have not heard of anyone getting banned and funds locked for what I was betting on.

4. They stated multiple times that 'The rest of the account's funds are from sportsbook abuse rewards'. I completely disagree with this statement as I have place bets on a variety of sports and odds that added up to around 19.6k in rewards. The first 5 months of me using rollbit and betting, it was NEVER on low odds or value betting. Mainly just me and my dumb bets hoping stuff would hit. Does that mean I was abusing it then as well? With this logic, 60% of my bets were deemed abusive (Still don't get why it's considered abuse) as my account has 10.2k in it plus a Rollbot worth over 1.5k, so 11.7k in value.

Link to my rewards as of April 9th -

5. I have NFT's and a Rollbot in the account, but Rollbit seem content to keep these?

6. Why is it considered abuse if I didn't break any terms of service? I firmly believe what I was doing is above board. If Rollbit wants to put requirements on the odds to earn rakeback on, then that is on their side, not mine. Value betting is not a reason to suspend an account and take winnings!

What do I have to do in order to get my funds returned to me?  I would like some more clarity on this from Rollbit...

Thanks everyone - much love.

Let's see if I understand your proposal correctly. To play your game, in individual need to pay at least 10,000 USD and up to 10,000,000 USD, which will converted into your token, and you'll design a real world game for them, like in a real abandoned train station or Chernobyl?

The most important question first, why do they have to buy your token if it'll be more convenient to just pay in fiat? I assume from your MOC your clients are not an average citizen, I don't think they'll bother converting to your native token if they can just use their fiat

Thanks for the questions.
1. The more complex the story request, the more expensive it will cost. This makes sense. At first, we expect orders where only a slight modification of existing real locations will be required, with actors, adding mysteries and extreme events.
2. The customer will be interested in the availability of tokens, because if the story is successful, he will be reimbursed in tokens. If the story will be bought exclusively for fiat, we will buy the necessary part of tokens from the market ourselves.

If any, I think your explanation of why you should have your project in token instead of fiat [point number 2] just make things worse. Have you considered and think thoroughly the very possible scenario that will happen with your current proposal? Let's assume a client take an average scene, not too complex but not simple either, that put us on a 1,000,000 USD. I imagine your client --or you, if the client prefers to do fiat-- will buy 1M worth of token the close to the day they're about to sign a deal with you, and then when he managed to clear the story and got reimbursed, he'll liquidate the token back to fiat. Other than this scenario, the token will remains stagnant as there's no reason to hold your token if someone doesn't plan on buying a scenario --with MOC 10,000 USD-- Imagine the price fluctuation happened upon every contract signed.
1630  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have Ignore option on topics, not boards, not users? on: April 21, 2023, 10:39:29 AM
Ignoring a topic does not make sense. There are hundreds of topic created everyday. None of it should bother you unless your notification for a specific topic is enabled.
It's got nothing to do with notifications. It's about what you see when you open a specific sub-forum. For example, look at Meta right now.

A few threads in Meta that I regularly see at the top include:

Merit & new rank requirements
Report plagiarism (copy/paste) here. Mods: please give temp or permban as needed
Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny
Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 06/03/2023

Let's imagine that I want to be active in Meta but I don't want to see the above threads or some other ones I don't think are interesting to me personally. However, it makes no sense to me to ignore the users who created those discussions because I have nothing against them and I might enjoy there other discussions. Putting Meta on ignore is also out of the question. In those cases, it helps to put only certain threads on ignore, so as to not have to look at them every time you open a particular board. It has nothing to do with your watchlist or post notifications.

1632  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jr BM asking for 300 positive comment in his service thread via bounty campaign. on: April 21, 2023, 09:32:21 AM
Jr BM already learned lesson. He recieved seven neutrel tag totally free and he is unable to post for a month. I think he was thinking in mind that big bounty managers like Royse77, Julerz, Hhumpuz finding projects because they have good reviews from Bitcointalk members and he should become Hero with Paid bounty for Positive review.

What about the list of bounty hunters who joined his bounty and given one line top class review to our Hero Jr member? How these hunters will learn that its against the rules of Bitcointalk. These hunters only visit bounty board and they don't know that there is other boards available here in BTT. I think That Jr BM should launch another bounty and Mandatory task should to visit This thread and Jr member Trust page. what you think about that?

Umm... I think that'll be quite unfair and burdening. Having them to have another bounty with mandatory task to visit this thread would imply Jr BM need to allocate another funds to serve the purpose. If the aim is to inform cluesless newbie hunters about the rules of this forum, it'll be more efficient and less taxing if they just wrote on their previous thread --the one which became the root of this situation-- with link to this thread and explanation about why what the hunters did were wrong.
1633  Economy / Reputation / Re: Jr BM asking for 300 positive comment in his service thread via bounty campaign. on: April 20, 2023, 06:44:31 PM
I don't think this is as bad as expected since some people buy reviews and trust pilot, their ratings and numbers to their desired height, in OP case, i think he's only requesting for comment and not mandating it before getting paid by his participants, but if what he's demanding as well goes against the bounty campaign or signature campaign rules laid by the forum, then I subtle reminder could be forwarded to him maybe he's not aware or has forgotten.

I don't think you've read the thread carefully, or even the opening post. It's there on the image attached by OP, literally the top most of the thread, the thread started with the image. I'm not sure how you missed it. He was demanding it, mandating it.

As for the subtle reminder because maybe he's not aware or has forgotten, tell me this: will you trust a bounty manager that doesn't know the most basic rule of the forum? Or, if you're a company hiring him, then the question is: will you trust a manager who caught red handed buying fake reviews?

If I unintentionally ignored a prominent member of a forum, would they be notified or informed about being ignored?

As someone who mostly access the forum through mobile device and touch screen rather than PC and mouse pointer, I can assure you that there's no feature to get notified... yet --I really hope tryninja didn't land on this thread and get the idea to add this feature on his notifier, LOL-- I accidentally pressed ignore button more often than I care to admit when I actually tried to click their trust score. And even if they get notified, prominent or not, you have the full right to put anyone you don't want to read their post on your ignore list.

If I may use this thread and chance to propose a feature, can we please move the ignore button somewhere else? On the right side of the post above "report to moderator" perhaps? Or more "hidden" like on the user's profile page? Sometimes I wished it didn't sit too close to the buttons I frequently clicked with this clumsy fingers of mine.

[...] so to bust scam ICO we just have to look for their whitepaper

[...]

I beg to differ on this part of statement. Whitepaper, plagiarized, is indeed a major determining factor, but it is not the only factor that we just have to look at it to determine. In a sense that just because a project's whitepaper is free from plagiarism it doesn't instantly translates as the project is legit. I've meet many project with no traces of plagiarism but the project is still questionable. For instance, there was this project that propose to pool funds to buy company shares --in India, if I have to be specific-- from an "experienced" trader in US. Their whitepaper is well written, the profile matched my background check, but upon further investigation, that CEO doesn't even have an in-depth knowledge of regulations in India --that's readily available on simple internet search-- that made his proposal rather obsolete. They're never to be seen and heard on this forum anymore after I exposed this fact.

More and more we read the words "sportsbook abuse" these days in connection with scam accusations against bookies or casinos.

Might become their new go to excuse to not pay players. The multi accounting accusation doesn't look so interesting anymore so it seems.

What I wonder though, do does someone abuse a sportsbook? They never actually say or answer what the user has done but expect him or her to just accept it.
You can't just keep someone's deposits and winnings if he made bets so he qualifies for rake back or whatever.

If that was the case then stake.com would need to ban a big chunk of their players that just wager to level up or to qualify for bonus drops.

I have rollbit on my radar for a while now, ever since they bough the hacked data stolen from stake to promote their own casino. Nor surprised to see an increase of accusations against this site recently.

You can't treat every case as equal, where the casinos use multi-acc as an excuse to not pay their players. Every case has their own story. Some cases, the players did cheat the bookies, while on the other cases the casinos falsely accuse their players for something that they didn't do. This is why it is essential to understand both sides of the story.

And umm... what stake has to do with this case?

Quote

It is okay to make video call. But after i provided Notarised approvment of my passport, i do not knowed that i need to again show it. But it is not problem to show it. Why casino do not said what i need to have at video call?

If casino want video call, and want to see something at this call, it is logically that say what exactly. Take passport and approvment of adress to video call.

merging OP's consecutive posts into one

I can see that CG took a wise step by encouraging TD to do another video call. I'd like to advise you to use this occasion to ask in details what things would TD want you to show during the video call and to arrange it to a time where you're free so you can provide things they want you to show. Ask that on CG so there's a written proof that you've asked in details about what they require, so if they sprung something else that you can't provide --I hope we don't have to reach this point-- and it wasn't on their list, you have a written statement backing you up.
