Some people want to do it the easy way. With Nicehash, they get paid in bitcoins directly which is the only currency they understand and actually know how to convert into fiat. You'd be surprised how much extra people will pay for extra comforts in life. But in the case of mining, it makes less sense because we are mostly doing it for profit. But instead pay extra to get less profit. People are weird.

If you ask me this is how my logical thought would go: 1) Letter C is out, it is too expensive 2) Letter B is out, it has the same specs as Letter D but more expensive 3) Letter A is out, it is more expensive and samsung memory drives are more known for stability and 128gb is enough for a mining rig So definitely i'd pick D: d) Samsung 128GB SSD: 33 US$

If you say you can connect to other pools just fine then it means that there is a problem with the pool you are trying to connect to.
I'd suggest you try check the exact pool address and port number from nicehash, could be a typo. Or, another possible problem is that the actual pool server is down/offline. In this case you could always try connecting to nicehash's US instead of EU server.

From what I can see I can only find either dedicated AMD or NVIDIA card ZCash miners.
Does anyone know of an mining software that can leverage both AMD and NVIDIA cards on the same rig?

There are lots of mining software that can handle both AMD and NVIDIA cards. Take for example, Claymore's dual ETH miner. It easily supports cards from both manufacturers and you can even dual mine other coins. I suggest you look at the stickied topics or do more research. Google has a wealth of knowledge on setting up mining rigs.

To add to what wacko said, the crashing must have something to do with other factors such as miner software or overclocking. Given that its the same algorithm, it should just be as simple as changing pools, while still using the same miner.

Asking because I found one PICO PSU rated 250 watts while another is rated 150 watts. Will getting the 150w version mean energy savings?

What do you mean when you say: I will get the red GPU is giving errors message The first step of course would be to read into the error message. What exactly does it say? Regardless, as the previous poster mentioned, your problem could be not related to your PSU. It could be a faulty GPU or poor overclock or undervolting settings. Many people including myself have run rigs with multi PSU configurations without problems (for days, months, even years).

What mainboard for around 3 or 4 VGA support? If I have more fund, I plan to buy more VGA. Is PSU 600 watt enough to run 4 VGAs? How about electricity consumed, is 4 VGAs consume four times electricity than one VGA only? Thanks.
To help you understand, what you refer to as "mainboard" is most commonly called a "motherboard." Usually when mining, you will need a motherboard with the most number of PCIE slots because this determines the number of GPUs you can add ("VGAs" are also reffered to here as "GPUs" or Graphical Processing Units). With regards to your query on PSU, it will depend on the power consumption of your PSU. For example some GPUs consume 150w, so if you want to have 4 of this, 150w x 4 = 600W. You will need a PSU that is more than 600W because you still need to make sure you have extra capacity to handle the CPU, motherboard, storage, etc. It is best to spare at least 20% extra capacity on your PSU.

You can do it by simply installing both the NVIDIA cards first then followed by the AMD. Here is a step by step instruction to make things clear: 1. Plug the NVIDIA cards into your computer 2. Sweet. That would be a nice board for my next build. Just noticed tho that it no longer includes the built in CPU or the mobile laptop RAM compatibility. The previous version ONDA1800 had those features. I wonder why they dropped it and went with a regular CPU and DDR4 RAM.

It is only true if you don't know how to use your bitcoin anonymously. Bitcoin can be tracked if you know who owns the bitcoin address because you can see where the coins are sent and where the coins are cashed out into fiat. Usually cashing out to fiat is where people get caught. However, if you use bitcoin mixers where your coins will be spread across different addresses, you can add a layer of anonymity and safely cash out without knowing where your coins came from.

To add to what was previously asked, doesn't rain get in through the fans? Or are the fans that strong it simply blows all the rain away? what about insects crawling from underneath the ground? what about when it rains? it is pretty sick setup and everything looks great
This is a minor issue, but I have plans to put some screens underneath the grading to filter the air. Also, going to put some chicken wire or something around the border of the shed to prevent any critters from getting under there. Rain is not an issue, we survived Hurricane Harvey just fine! However, I was a bit worried and dismantled the rigs on the bottom shelves as a precaution. That was stressful!

Worked well while official pools were down, and have a good DDos protection. I mined there since November 1st. ;-) Yeah my vote goes to hashparty as well. Been using them since day 2 of electroneum. Their pool hash rate (~5-10 MH) is more significant compared to the entire network hashrate (~80-100 MH) which allows you to find blocks faster. More blocks more rewards more profits. There are a lot of factors to consider when choosing the right GPU for you. Do you already have a built out rig? What is your PSU max consumption? Are electricity costs expensive at your location? Do you plan to expand and buy more GPUs in the near future? Building a profitable mining rig needs to be planned out to very specific details. If you are looking to get the most efficient GPU in terms of hash rate / power consumption then i suggest getting the VEGA. Mine hashes 1900h/s cryptonight at only 130watts.

Sadly the wiser option may be to sell that at $9000 and just buy a AMD RX VEGA 56 at only $500. The VEGA will even earn more (based on whattomine it currently earns $5+ a day mining electroneum) and it only uses 130 watts .

Probably no response because your questions sound too technical and difficulty to answer directly. But i'll help and start you off with regards to your query on RAM/VRAM.
Different altcoins have different POW algorithms. For ETH's ethash, yes it does require a lot more VRAM and mining hash rate will increase the better your card is. Mining does not require much RAM and 4GB or 8GB should be enough for even up to a 12 GPU mining rig.
There are lots of guides online that might help get you started then feel free to come back and ask more specific questions.

1. How many gpu per mb are you planning? EVGA's largest psu's will limit you... i would suggest server psu's if your serious. I run a single 2400w with 7 nvidia + 2 amd on win 10 without it breaking a sweat. No dual psu crap, but requires 240v power. If you are serious run your atx at 240v. Better efficiencies no matter the brand. 2. 570 & 580 in that order. Stupid deals lately...570 4gb for $199 usd after rebate. 4gb is a short sighted purchase but I don't usually mine eth. I just bought 4 more to max out my rig...check newegg.Com 3. #1 dictates your mb. I am on h110 pro btc+ and rock solid out of the box. 4. IMHO Vegas are power hungry but are getting better with recent mods...but $$$
My setup... H110 pro btc+, I run 8gb memory, m.2 ssd and decent celeron cpu. I use a 250w pico psu and a 10 port Pwm fan controller. All cables are pcie 6 pin from server breakout to all devices, no molex or sata shit. Risers are v008s with 6 pin pcie power. 7 x 1070ftw, (4 x rx570 on the way), 1 x rx470, 1 x rx480. All on spotswood extruded aluminum frame. Total cost about $3800 by adding up in my head. Mostly used stuff from eBay and newegg fire sales.
My advice... Get 8gb memory for mb... run a m.2 for faster virtual memory, i run a 30Gb swap file and the m.2 does help...get something better than G3950 cpu...buy new cards, used is more than new...buy good cards with no less than 2 yr warranty. Rx480 is great, rx580 is less efficient, rx570 offers good performance with less power and price. I will not buy a 580 and my 480 reference card lays down some good numbers but fools on ebay are paying $250+ for a 480 when you can buy a 570/580 for $200/220 new? Wtf?
Quoted post is great advice. Thats exactly how I would build more rigs myself. However, i'd opine that RX VEGAs are extremely efficient and profitable right now mining electroneum/monero and with the power play registry edits (1950+ H/s on 130watts). But if you want to strictly stick to ETH then the cards mentioned are fine. Just one question, when you say: If you are serious run your atx at 240v. Better efficiencies no matter the brand. Do you mean better power efficiency? If so, how do you configure PSUs to run at 240v? At stock they run at 220v right? Would love to know more.
