981  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: October 22, 2015, 06:27:44 AM
I had to play a bit with one of my SP20 fan... it seems that i can't control the speed of the fan anymore.

What's the default speed ? It looks like 40 or 50.

I set it to 10% or 100% ... nothing change.

Either I damaged the connector or I don't know.

I already try to ssh and edit the file to check if it was set at 30% and it was.

I re-installed the firmware also => 2.6.14

Any idea ?

982  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Oct 11 to Nov 11 Sidehack stick pool club. on: October 21, 2015, 06:20:42 PM
As enthusiastic as I am about a contest to maximize a stick, I don't know that I'm up to it now.

I found these comments in the stick support thread-

meech - steadily running @300mhz 7.2 v adj. @ 1.52a with 4 hashing about 16-17ghs

edonkey's getting 16GH @306 Mhz

chig reports running at 400 Mhz  with no errors in 24hrs (no hash rate mentioned)

phillipma1957- I did run at 400 and got 22gh but was pulling over 2.1 amps or just about ten watts a stick.
(and i bet if phil unplugged the other 19 sticks in his stud(ly) hub, he could shoot lightning bolts into a stick and manage to keep it alive for 24 hrs.)

and this-

Did you see we jacked one up a bit yesterday and got it to 488MHz? Most of the high-power parts were actually still stock.

Keep an eye on sidehack, he might just want to win one of his sticks back.

I'm excited to see it happen for 24 hours.  I have not modified my hub so I know my chances of winning are slim.

But just to watch this for 24 hours if someone jacks it up and runs it for a entire day will be impressive as heck.

I didn't receive my usb Y cable. iIwon't be able to participate until I get those Tongue

986  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Bitminter bitcoin mining pool - Pays TxFees, Merged Mining, Fair PPLNS rewards on: October 18, 2015, 07:51:16 AM
Will the share rates become zero and no reward is given if I click on "Work counts reset" button on my active worker?

Not at all

Incidentally I clicked on it while hashing and till now didn't get any rewards for those shares which were reset before! But, fortunately I got rewards of the Namecoin shares only! OP, please throw some light on this!

BTC reward and Namecoin reward are on two different difficulty. Someone made a Namecoin block but the share wasn't high enough to solve a Bitcoin block.

Check the Block Income page => https://bitminter.com/blocks?commodity=all

EDIT: or just follow DrHaribo indications Tongue

running debian jessie in virtualbox 4.3.12 in a freenas 9.3 jail on my server in the basement.

I can compile and run cgminer-gekko. the compac is seen fine in debian. cgminer fires up and sees the clubs solo pool and connects. I get the welcome and block found messages. but it wont mine. the errors are as follows:

Code:
no valid hashes for over 10 secs, attempting to restart.
compac 1 attempted reset got error:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
device failed to respond to restart
HOTPLUG: Gekko adding compac 2

it does this over and over with the compac n number increasing each time.

any suggestions?  this compac runs fine on my windows HTPC.

EDIT: the compacs led stays steady green. no frequency arguments so it should run stock speed. this stick runs at 185Mhz on the HTPC so it should run fine stock frequency..

I had the same issue when I was trying to push my compact with a regular USB from my PC. I was running at freq 150 and it was just too much for the usb. I dropped it down to 125 and it runs perfectly without any HW now.  6.867GH/s

989  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: October 16, 2015, 08:27:16 PM
^would love to see the modified exerts of /etc/init.d/cgminer since no matter what i do theres no effect, hashrate just seems to direct at antpool or something other than what i try to input

same for overclocking, i tried the 0983 for 125MHz, but it appears to have no effect

I guess you need to restart the process or just the router
990  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BITMAIN AntRouter R1: 1st wireless networking device with bitcoin mining chip on: October 16, 2015, 07:04:55 PM
Ok, I decided to play around with one tonight. Tricking the R1 into solo mining on another pool didn't take too long. I also have a U3 plugged in and running at full speed so we'll see how long it stays up...

You'll note that the self contained chip runs under a different instance of cgminer than the U3s, both kicked off by scripts in the /etc/init.d directory. /etc/init.d/cgminer and /etc/init.d/cgminer-u3 respectively.

You can edit the cgminer script, setting the pool user, 3 pools, and comment out the user prefix added to pooluser1 to unleash your R1. Make sure to make a backup and don't blame me if you brick your device!

I hope the last eleuthria's reply is enough to make you lock this thread and move on.

Considering all the efforts he put to close his mining pool in the RIGHT WAY, you should stop any accusations, any kind of winning because YOUR responsibility was to take care of your coins.

If you "forgot about it". How's this his problem ? Seriously ? Saying his robbing people ?

Do you want him to call you personally because you're not able to take care of your coins ?

Come on
994  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 bugs and stability on: October 14, 2015, 05:21:31 PM
Good day,

I have a friend who complained that his S7 always halts and stops responding, so he reboots it a few times a day

So, I have a question for new S7 users: How stable does your Antminer S7 works?

I want to know if other S7 Batch 1 miners perform the same way.

Help me please

My s-7 is rock solid  4810gh at 600 mhz  pointed at f2pool.

temps are 55c

I do not have to reboot.

A big key is the power you supply.  All 9 jacks to my  3 blades are at 11.96 volts under full 1200 watts of draw.

i have an interesting case: miner was stable for 2 weeks at 600 (~4.84), then declined overnight to ~4.6.
Upon soft reboot-back at 4.85 now for 24 hr. All temp stayed pretty much the same, did not check voltage, but it is the same PSU (EVGA 1300 G2).
It very much reminds me of some (probably not all) S3 machines. I had a few that were stable, then periodically declined after 2-3 weeks and required a soft reboot in gui.

Same, I have 2 S3 running 441 for a few hours then after 48+ they drop down to 415-420.

I got one that is rock solid 504GH forever and ever
995  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Antminer S7 bugs and stability on: October 14, 2015, 03:50:20 PM
Mines are running stready since 2 weeks. (2 units)

One unit required a few soft reboot to get the right hashrate (4.84th)

1000  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Looking for sp20 controller boards on: October 10, 2015, 12:39:48 PM
these things go for a hell of a lot more than 1 btc and i mean just the boards.. untested boards? theres no reason to assume they is something wrong with them, you just chose to because your cheap.. obviously you have working controller boards youd just rather hoard and the $200 offer i made you (which is rather ludicrous and regretted instantly) got from you no response.. so you didnt accept it and you try to offer me even less.. your offer maybe honest, but honestly it is a waste of time..

also, the PM that i called you a genius in was meant for someone else in fact.. i got mixed in all the responses i received but i just went with it

I waited 48 hours because I wanted you to find someone else if you could. That's the only reason. Shipping from US to Canada isn't cheap.

Your boards are non-tested as far as I know as you don't want to test them. This is a risk for me.

You wanted 244$ and you offered me to sell them for 200$ and this ludicrous ?

I have one defective controller board that's it btw.

I'm not going to argue about the last affirmation, I went back to read the exchange, sounds my trick did the job.

That's all
