Pot B tallies are all done too, please let me know if there are issues before I share some insight Wink

LFC_Bitcoin, better to be far down than mid table if both end up with no prizes? Haha. Back to the drawing board for many of us, but I'll be keen on the TV again tonight to see the Reds march on, eh?

See the Pot B top 5 so far -- 18 point average would get you there.

Being consistent is good, but it definitely won't lead to the top - since the number of participants is large, someone will be lucky enough to guess several unlikely results with big odds. Personally, I'll only bet on unlikely outcomes from now on - I forgot to use my 10 points last round and now feel like I'm way behind, so I need to bet heavily.

I'm surprised myself that the King of backing the underdogs is advicing us against it now. buwaytress when did you start believing in consistency?

Perhaps in a bid to fool everyone else into thinking this is the way to go? And by the looks of it, plenty of all-ins on "safe" teams lost last night. I thought I was pissed at Atletico but Trofo had 10 points on them hahaha.

I caught some good points with BVB (finally repaying my trust in them). Too bad it was only 4/1 when I made the form. Last night you could snatch 6/1 pre-kickoff...
982  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 Official Partner of Newcastle United Football Club on: October 25, 2023, 09:11:03 PM
Thank you Atletico. It's Celtic, come on!

@CLS63 Everyone enjoyed Toon vs away Yellow Wall at least! Something like 30 shots between them and they managed to produce the night's lowest scoreline. Newcastle still shouldn't be worried. 4 points in the GoD at halfway line? Amazing.

Those sports specials had been doing real good but today Isak got replaced in the 15th and so it is done, unfortunate.

I overlooked them completely, keep forgetting to check -- what treasures did I miss out on?

P.S. Belated nice pics LFC_Bitcoin, keep 'em coming!

Ah, it was not to be, was it? But for Onana being actually decent last night (even without his pen save), it would be a tune tonight.

Now I know accas aren't really where I do well and you get incredible value on BVB alone at Sportsbet (superboost on all Newastle games, hey) but I feel like we can get some away team magic tonight also on Milan. I honestly thin 5/1 for both is a steal, so why not pick both?

100 units at Sportsbet on BVB and Milan to WIN @29.75. Other odds: 25
Units advantage: 475

Hey all, in case you missed it, the pool-exclusive Rollbit.com cashback promo is still active. Low requirements (5-leg accas for min 2.5 odds, that's all kinds of value if you just want to pad a single pick like I did mine. A Napoli 2/1 became almost 3/1 with low-risk over/unders.

But I can't believe Slam tried to pump United again haha. They did play badly in first half though, to your credit.

I thought Milan and BVB are tonight's value bets. No one else thinks so too?
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io ⚾ Major League Baseball (MLB) ⚾ [Discussion thread] on: October 25, 2023, 02:56:14 PM
Oh wow, MLB playoffs are here again and I forgot to put picks in early so I see the only outright markets left on sportsbet are MVP. No hot tips from anyone before the first game starts?

6/1 on the fav -- that difficult to pick, huh?

@buwaytress : tried to bet by using your trick today, decided to go with favourites Houston Astros on my 1st one.
'-snip

Well I had my hopes after 6 months  Smiley. Too bad huh, I didnt even bother to check MLB at all after I placed this bet lol.

At least you came close. My poor BoSox never had a chance. Went down the tables farther and farther when I did remember to check... of course I'm picking them again next season =D
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2023/2024 on: October 25, 2023, 12:38:11 PM
Stake campaign manager are you seeing the stuff your people are embarrassing the forum with?

This has been on of the most difficult league to predict recently as the patterns here isn't regular enough to give a good determining edge, so called big teams loose to small team and in some cases draw and went they manage to win the margin I often small, a case where you predict a 2.5 for big team against a small team and sadly the match ends with just two or even less goals.

Recently? Where've you been the entire history of Championship haha. Look at the odds markets for any given round and you'll find it's rare to see odds bigger than 5/1 on any team, any game week. Been like that for years (but also why I like the 5/1 teams). Compare that to the Prem where you regularly see 15/1 odds on decent teams (Sheffield is 21/1 next vs Arsenal).

It's not a recent phenomenon...

maybe by then some of them might have crashed out of the bigger leagues and will be willing to fave the championship well enough to see if they can achieve something with it

What do you mean by this? You don't crash out of a bigger league mid-season. Sorry but you quoted me. Explain your nonsense or stop posting spam.
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: October 24, 2023, 06:54:45 PM
You managed to defeat me very easily last season. I hope that I can manage to resist you a little this season.

Shame that 1 player from the top Division failed to submit, cls63 gave free points to his arch rival buwaytress.
Divisions 2 and 3A submitted with 100%, while the worst was again Division 3B with 9/12 submissions.

After police broke up final day fights last season with Headhunter ultras baying for manager's blood owing to their massive slip, both managers called for calm ahead of a derby rematch in Round 3. Unfortunately, as Headhunter players came out to the pitch for warmup, CLS63 fans threw missiles and flares, injuring a Headhunter reserve.

Amid the ensuing frenzy, ref called off the game, enforcing new rules for forfeiture due to "unsafe conditions". buwaytress 3:0 CLS63

P.S. What on earth?! CLS63 man just as I mentioned you were my biggest rival and after you promising to put up a fight, #sadhappy

Actually I don't think that Trofo and cryptofrka see our emails because when you submit your answers, it says that your email is not shared. You have to be logged in but what is stopping you from submitting with one email as slackovic and then with another mail as casperBGD? I'm sure that guys have some kind of a solution. I just wanna know what it is. Or is it a "business secret" (I can't remember the word for "poslovna tajna" in English Grin )

Easy. Real person verifies his answers in PM before deadline. If he attempts to submit when fake one is in already I believe he is notified, then he can alert cro2.

What, Icardi levels for Gala haha.

Happy to say we "only" had two participants miss the deadline: M1cha3lM and icopress. So that's most of us over the line and half the ones who missed Matchday 2 Wink

And does anyone expect another failure from MU? Personally, I don't think that Copenagen is capable to make it.

I did, and as expected, not many others did. Lightning can't strike twice can it?

@swogerino @rohang @Igebotz Yeah I personally can't really tell right now what strategy works but I believe consistency is key. I mentioned maybe 18 point average (for 180 total points sounds decent Top 10 but too early to tell). Worth mentioning plenty of 10-point stakes on decent favourites suggest many agree here.

@swogerino Don't worry about those missing "Stake button" entries. I always count them. They are there only to make my life easier (with the form) but I don't mind manual count for a few missed picks.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: October 24, 2023, 03:07:22 PM
Bro! one of the reason I am not active on this thread is I have almost zero to talk about these leagues. Only know few teams who are big like, Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and some others. When I pick I actually check their recent results and blindly go for a side. For Serie A it works sometimes but for shit LaLiga its not working at all LOL

Give it a try some time! You might be really surprised.

I also didn't rate Serie A for the longest time (after Milan-Liverpool rivalry died down) but started following Lazio again around the time the pools started, which coincided with a mini revolution in Italian football, courtesy Roma, Lazio, Atalanta, Napoli -- who really play daring attacking football while Juventus stifled with Ronaldo, and the Milans were only just resuming their own renaissance.

They're compatible attack-wise to EPL, and if not for surprise package Girona, would trounce Spain in the league by sheer goal-scoring.

994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +91147 units on: October 24, 2023, 01:45:58 PM
So after those two losses on Strasbourg and Sheffield (but United still won playing like crap, pity the fans who have to pay top sterling to watch their team play like that week in, week out), we still have the United loss to hope for vs Copenhagen (check above for the Oct 17th bet). It's still almost 10/1!

Let's pretend Salzburg are a shadow of themselves last season and bet on them tonight to score a win at San Siro. Overvalued Inter, psht!

100 units at Sportsbet on Salzburg to WIN vs Inter @12.55. Other odds: 11.80. Units advantage: 75

Running advantage after 26 bets: +2658 (+75)
All-time cumulative: +92,518
Running units after 24 bets (3W|21L): +188 (-200)

_____________
 Name: buwaytress (aka Borneo Headhunters)
History: After flirting with relegation in the BSFL inaugural, the Headhunters led Div1 for most of S2 until a spectacular wobble led to a final-day capitulation amid taunts of Arse-waytress. After mid-table mediocrity in S3, a new-look, 20-year average team dreams on in S4.
Prizes: 6.5 mbtc (S1), 35 mbtc (S2)
Trophies: -
Greatest Achievement: League-wide top scorer in Season 2 (64)
Rivals: The fierce rivalry with CLS63 continues, with fans never forgiving them for stealing the title on S2 D-Day.
Board Expectations: A rebuild is underway with 100% academy graduates. S4 survival will be an achievement.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Headhunters love to back favourites with handicaps, but also like sharpshooting against streaks in non-football picks, which worked really well in Season 2. A potential weakness is in continental football, where they shoot from the hip with little research.

Logos definitely cool. I really need to post my profile heh. And sweet about freebet settled with early submission. I see I got there a little before half the others in my division, nice!

Was real lucky to get a win with only 2 points, hope I do better vs CLS63!

Submited BSFL and Newcastle promo questions. I follow Euroleague very closely, but El Clasico question was so difficult to decide. Real so far is looking simply flawless and will be favorites of gime. While Barca was written-off a bit before season, they lost to Real in Supercopa, but now in Euroleague and ACB they're looking perfect.

I submitted without reading this but I hope it means I read the right report (too lazy to go look i history). I think the consensus was that El Clasico is too hard to call but Barca has been getting the upper hand in past Clasicos except Bellingham's going to try stamp his mark. Battle of the teenagers (or, kids, anyway) I think.

Whaat, my shitty outfit of misfits still getting above average points and Madisson still yet to play? City costing me precious points though, can't believe I didn't realise Ederson wouldn't play but at least my Raya bench gives me 2 points (haha).

I prefer Spurs losing big so all you guys get negatives though Wink

Watkins still value but Wilson, wow, stuck in my squad and still taking home smallish pieces of bacon..!

But it's incredibly challenging to persuade someone who thinks Nunez is superior to Halaand.

He's not, FPL wise. I'm a gambler is all =D
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 23, 2023, 12:28:22 PM
Anyone else think Ramsdale would have kept Chelski out better yesterday (I know he wasn't even on bench for family reasons)? Not that I'm calling for Raya to be rescinded. I know Arteta wants a style of play he can get from Raya and that takes time but even that doesn't excuse his positioning (which needs to be better if he will fit Arteta's keeper vision). Kind of feel for Aaron.

Hoping Alexis improves and meets his rating for once.
He has been really decent today with his passing (long and short) and also his close control. I also think he has been decent all season and he has an average sofascore rating of 6.95. Boy is still settling into the team and will only improve from here.

Agreed. He played one delicious spray to the right flank mid-first half that I thought was probably the game's best pass. He has been slightly careless but as you said, improving. I just feel he was not really worth the money, not his fault. I trust in Klopp but our stealth buys are usually where we excel (Szoboszlai case in point).

P.S. I only found out today but sad day for English football as United lost one more thing good for them. Rest in peace, Sir Bobby.

Awww yess. Couldn't improve my Superbru rankings but I think I'm in 2nd spot behind Ulven. Only four races to go so I guess my hopes there are dissipating now but my "negative" picks in jeremypwr's prediction games at least won me some salvation with freebets to claw my money back haha.

Hammie disqualification probably had more impact on eventual standings than anything else, huh? He'd probably say it was worth it, though, as no one ran Max so ragged recently.

@CLs63 yeah I see leaderboard updating now, I definitely got more points than yesterday (10.5 now compared to fewer than 10 yesterday).
