381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Did You Learn? on: April 19, 2023, 12:25:14 PM
~
Well I cannot claim that I learned everything about it and there is always something new to learn from it. I learned it first honestly as some coin that is primarily used in the dark web/dark net for the "you know what are those" things. For the technical stuffs, I am not really into it since I just want to use Bitcoin rather than develop it although I am somehow interested in Blockchain programming though.

For its competitors? Man, I never even thought of its competitors. I just knew that Ethereum exists after I learned about Bitcoin. I thought Bitcoin was the only cryptocurrency like "Bitcoin = cryptocurrency", but then I found out that there are indeed plenty of alts out there.
382  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: April 19, 2023, 12:18:01 PM

True. Let's start with the Chat bots that has been like common in websites even in the last 5 years. It is just that people did not realize how much of an impact it can bring to the job market. They thought that AI will never improve. Code generators were even there before ChatGPT through metaprogramming.

I would call it though that the development was quite slow before since not many business were really looking for it until this time when the hype skyrocketed. See how ChatGPT 3 goes to ChatGPT 4 so fast.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No late comer in bitcoin Investment. on: April 18, 2023, 02:27:40 PM

Yeah, considering that it was like just around hundreds of dollars that year that it kinda looks like just any other investment you see in social media as well as in the stock market although it is just decentralized one and could be traded through P2P trading.

Back then, I thought Bitcoin was just like only an illegal currency in the internet primarily used in the deep web where some real and scary shit happens. Turned out I was wrong all along. Starting early 2017, I started investing into one. I do not have any regrets anyway regardless.
384  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I become productive in this forum? on: April 18, 2023, 01:47:59 PM

I guess some other users here "know what OP is up to". If you're going to the forum for productivity, we all know what that user is up to. I have never seen someone obsessed with productivity in Facebook, Twitter unless it is a drama, Reddit or any social media sites out there.

When a user treats the forum like a workplace (unless s/he is into trading or selling goods or services), people know that the user is not here for discussion/s.  Roll Eyes
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 16, 2023, 05:41:51 PM
~
I believe there were few universities out there that teaches something related to blockchain and that might be the nearest education we got in relation to Bitcoin. I believe one was Mays Business School in US that teaches one if I had heard the recent news correctly.

It's better to just be self taught though, since resources out there are free anyway. I don't want to spend hundreds of USD or thousands in PHP on something that I could learn in the internet for free anyway.

This was the news by the way: One of the largest US colleges has begun teaching students about Bitcoin

Well I do live in a third-world country, but jeez, I would prefer my productivity at my 9-5 work. If people are really up for the money, freelancing would be better for them and most likely they would end up earning more in there even if it was a data entry. That's from my experience in working in Upwork though.

I guess we all know what OP's intention/s here based on the post history s/he have.
387  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be more useful in this forum on: April 15, 2023, 07:03:35 PM
I don't know why do people overcomplicate stuffs like this. It's a forum for discussions, OP.
This is not a workplace for that word "productivity". It's like saying how to be productive in social media sites like Reddit and Twitter.

Just contribute to discussion/threads/boards by giving ideas or insight legitimately from you and that's how you "contribute".
388  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 15, 2023, 05:40:55 PM
I have had bad experiences using credit cards to shop or buy stuff online, the charges and interest are killing me, and also they can turn to debit too. Today I don't use a credit card anymore since I found all this out, and now I used transfer for almost everything I want to purchase anything online and offline and if the store is accepting Bitcoin it's even better, I have used Bitcoin to buy some phone data and Gift card and I wish that I can buy many more things with Bitcoin someday but now it's limited to buying Gift cards and online subscription.
My father stopped using credit card when it took a toll into him that it is really hard to just pay it all back and clear all your credit records at the end. Good thing you learned your lesson from that it is not really for you. People have been reporting horror stories on how deep they went into their credit and they're struggling to make ends meet.

Your experience is quite...life-changing that you turned to Bitcoin from being a credit card user. Not really that common of stories I heard around here.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I love Bitcoin on: April 14, 2023, 08:48:41 PM

During those years, I was completely blind on what Bitcoin was but then I was taught on what Bitcoin really was a year after. I legitimately thought that Bitcoin was like just an illegal coin use in the deep web and I might need to access deep web just to use one, but turns out that I was wrong all along about that.

Good thing my misconception back then was cleared and now that I almost use it everyday just makes me look back on how different my life is now if I did not clear that misconception back then. Huh
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If I have $40,000 to invest in one #cryptocurrency. on: April 14, 2023, 08:30:38 PM
LTC seems like a good investment for me if I would invest in any altcoins other than BTC and ETH, however I would still try to make it strictly just BTC and ETH unless a special scenarios forced me to buy alts. I would definitely avoid meme coins for obvious reasons even if they were at their lowest price. I am not a influencer-driven investor, so I do not care any single celebrity that hypes or talks shit about other coins just for his/her own benefit of bringing hype to the coin currently being hold.

Obviously I would also avoid newer projects no matter how low their pre-sale becomes.
391  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I become productive in this forum? on: April 14, 2023, 06:22:35 PM
I discovered am not growing as expect in the forum and I have realizes so many things about my posts and comments, things like; repetitions, off threads, shallow contents, inability to defend your posts or comments, refused instructions, walking out my strength and best field of knowledge of bitcoin and finally trying to beat or become others.

These statement above makes many victims of not being useful or productive in the forum. Am ready to amends my ways and I guess others too. What have you observed about my page posts and comments? And what did you suggests I best lay on? What's your advised to others? Though am not the only victim here but am only the repented soul for now, please deliver me. Thank you
Buddy chill, you might be overthinking about it too much. This is a forum for discussions and not really something of a workplace for "usefulness" or being productive. Just use the forum whenever you like it. Sometimes I just do not post at all whenever I do not feel like Bitcoin-y at the moment (yeah I made that word up, lol).

You have way more productivity waiting outside the computer if you would ask me.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you withdraw bitcoin this week? on: April 13, 2023, 05:26:34 PM
~
Well I sold mine for just a little amounts and withdrew it to my local currency for obvious reasons. I don't really do this a lot, but there will be times that I might need money for personal reasons and I don't think that holding the pride of being true hodler is worth over encountering worse situations in my own personal life.

I would buy back anyway on what I sold whenever the price just went a little below on the price I sold into.
393  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I earn only from cryptocurrencies? on: April 13, 2023, 05:21:26 PM
I wonder, how many of you work in crypto full time, and how many use this as an additional source of income?

If you want to, you can share with us what you are doing in crypto. Is it trading, aidrops, writing articles, marketing, etc ?
I use it as an additional source of income though that is really my primary reason on why I use crypto specifically Bitcoin. I use it for paying my bills without the hassle of going into lines which is all pain in the ass if you would ask me considering I do not like being in overcrowded places. It also includes paying all my other utilities by the way.

You could use crypto as a payment method to whatever service you can offer and technically that might be another "fulltime" with crypto.

I stopped airdrops long time ago due to attempted wallet phishing.
394  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's a crypto/bitcoin scam that most people and newbies simply don't notice? on: April 13, 2023, 02:04:41 PM
~
If you know you're paying your bills on time and you're not really behind on any liabilities, any sort of urgency required from whoever reached out to you will most likely be a scam. It's not limited to crypto only though, as there are like plenty of those that do it through online banking.

Careful of some airdrops especially if it requires your email address. I had one before that attempted to get my wallet hacked. It's only a disposable MEW though, lol.
395  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 13, 2023, 02:01:09 PM

It's common than what other people think. I am quite amazed to those who are able to handle the tempt to buy things that they don't even need. People mentioned various things that could be beneficial from it such as being able to get a house with mortgage easily due assuming you have a good credit score. I ain't taking the risk though.

5 credit cards? Damn, I salute you on that.

~
Well a friend of mine long time ago that I accompany before kinda did that. It backfired on him, lol.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can owning 1 Bitcoin make you rich in 2023? on: April 12, 2023, 02:24:30 PM
~
You don't need a whole 1 BTC to consider it as an investment. There might be gatekeepers out there that would say otherwise, but even a fraction is just fine. It's not really something that would truly give you financial freedom like you can get 3 lambos, since Bitcoin was not made for that way.

All in all, just invest what you are okay to lose. I keep buying whenever the price plummets, I don't really give a crap on how small I can afford to buy.

No wonder a lot of startup businesses look for full-stack developer. There were still some really great clients from a startup company that I worked with in creating their website as a freelancer but lowballers/cheap clients here really common in the field of web dev. Aside from those you mentioned, you'll still need the developer to maintain the website.

A full-stack could possibly do all of those you mentioned except for the marketing part, but it won't be that of a quality for sure especially if you're looking to get your website running quickly.
398  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What advice do you give a newbie? on: April 12, 2023, 07:43:44 AM
No need to overcomplicate it, OP. Growth or whatever you call it, just follow the rules, contribute to discussion just like what you do in any other social media. You're not really required to do so though.

Just use the forum whatever you want. I treat it like a more of a Reddit but with specific focus. You don't need really need to grow, but if that's what you want, just contribute just like I mentioned.
399  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 12, 2023, 07:39:56 AM
I hope you learn your lesson from that. As long as you can handle your expenses properly, credit cards would be more beneficial to you rather than a threat. I am not really a fan of purchasing something if I can't really buy it. It is just not something that I would be able to handle properly since I got some other expenses to handle.
Knowing that I might need to pay something off without getting anything at the end of the month, let alone bills, is just something that I would not like to experience.

Consider also something unique. Crypto-related or not, I am already sick off milk teas being sold almost every street I walk into. It's like people think that they can earn more by blending in to the crowd of the businesses serving the same specialties and they would most likely taste the same anyway, then you would just find out that the store closed a month after and another one opened up right around the corner again. The same applies to crypto as well. There are just way too many altcoins that are just copying each other and it is getting to the point of nobody knows where to put their money into.
