Adding up to everyone's answer, if you would go for search engine and you are having a little bit of a hard time searching. You could use the site operator to specifically get results that are entirely from this forum if that is what you are after only.

If you are planning to look for discussions related to "what is bitcoin", here is one example of how would I search it in Google.
Code:
what is bitcoin? site:bitcointalk.org

Other than that, you could just use Ninjastic Space like aysg76 mentioned if you do not want to use external sites.

In some regions, P2P trading is a real pain anyway so I understand why plenty of people just prefer to use Centralized Exchanges rather than finding someone to trade crypto personally with. There is no issue with keeping your coins if you are actively trading, but if you're really going to hold it just like you mentioned, you're entirely risking your funds from these hacks.
Back when I was learning day trading, I completely forgot that I was sleeping on my funds that was stuck in Binance and I forgot to withdraw. Good thing I still manage to get it out so I can sell it since I quit trading that day anyways.

By the way, you should update your signature and avatar since I noticed that we're both in the same signature campaign. Hhampuz posted a new signature and avatar for the Winter season here in case you missed it. Smiley
Thanks for your input by the way!

According to the Gambling Money Laundering Regulation, all users entering a casino must undergo a manual KYC evaluation, which includes identity and verification, every time a player deposits, wins, or spends more than €2000. (enforced by the Gambling Commission). Then, as part of ongoing monitoring, additional due diligence must be performed to confirm the initial discovery, as well as more sophisticated business ties, and to ensure that staff is trained to recognize problematic regulatory activity. All wagers made with online bookmakers must be fully traceable.

Surely this is a common sense now for most of the people and knowing that you are even leaving out personal information just for the sake of being able to register is quite concerning. If I can recall correctly, there was also a data breach back then in Binance and regardless if it was true or not, it is still alarming nonetheless.

If the security of your personal information is really important, the same could be said for your money regardless of how reputated the site/app is/was. There is no perfect security since everything has been coded, made and maintained by someone.

It really depends sometimes on how's the work life of the individual once they already had their family. Here in my country, there's a widely common term "job hopping" or "job diving" which a lot are doing to keep their careers going as they work out their responsibilities to their family. Life keeps moving forward and people sometimes still change career in their mid 50s which I found out from some users in Reddit when I was trying to know if learning software/web development is not worth it in this year.

For those who are privileged, well I cannot say how would they feel about their current life. There are some privileged individuals that are truly undeserving to what they have and they are even ungrateful for it.

Was it locally reported in India? I do not reside in India, but I have never read any news about any kidnappings of a businessman in crypto.

This unwritten rule does not only apply in crypto but to fiat as well. Never tell anyone how much you earn weekly, daily, and even monthly. Even if you see plenty of influencers like Musk and Jeff out there sharing their net worth to the whole world, you are far more at risk encountering some scums including backstabbers from either your friends or anyone inside your social circle.

Usually I just tell my relatives and close friends that I am particularly just an enthusiastic about crypto, but I had never told anyone that I am earning from it.

Not sure how this is directly related to Economics since it is all about clothing but whatever.

Wearing formal attire has become like a common practice for companies. It separates personal stuff to your work related stuff. You could be right that "not properly dressed applicant might be more qualified and knowledgeable" and you might even standout from being "different" than other applicants, but unless you have a really good reason to not wear one, it would say that you are not really serious in making preparation for your application. If you have the means to wear at least a presentable clothing, wear it nonetheless.

Dude, what are you talking about?  I get your bottom-line message of investing in metals and/or bitcoin, but if you're in any way arguing that everyone should start their own business, that's untenable and is never going to happen.
Adding up to that, not everyone can be a business owner. In my freelancing, a lot of freelancers just quit doing it since it was not working out for them. I can even recall one of my connections in LinkedIn reaching out to me that he was happier at his 9 to 5 job than when he was trying to build his freelance career since he cannot even land a single client that he can offer his services to.

Not sure why some people do not admit it, but having a well-established business requires a lot of luck.

The world needs wage slaves, whether you like it or not, and most people are going to end up being one of them (though it's a harsh way of looking at having a job).
It's the same idea of why making everyone rich would be horrible.  Smiley
789  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 08, 2022, 04:21:25 PM

Having a commission requires a lot of hard work and luck and not everyone is that lucky. This was my harsh realization recently as a freelancer. Just by hardworking on trying to promote your business would not budge it since nobody would even know who you are and what are you trying to offer as commission. You might even need to connect to a lot of people in LinkedIn just to get yourself next to the door for opportunities, but it might still not work out.

Having a salary base job with a little bit of commission work would be somehow be better option. Let's say if I work 8-5 as a software dev, I would also sometimes accept commission based work like minor fixes in someone else's website and not those clients who would require you to build a whole web application for them. That combination would make up for the "possible" low salary you earn as well as not having to "work" to find a commission based job since you already have your stable work.

Can anyone earn Free Bitcoin Without Investing in it.

OP, I believe you would be able to see the sticky thread in this board. In case you missed it, it is this thread - [General] How to earn Bitcoins. Just eliminate the "investing" part since you mentioned "without investing".

If this was an old times then faucets could have been the way for you, but now they are just a waste of time. Not sure if it was still worth it these days with referrals, but I would assume that you are trying to earn one by your own and without of anyone's help.
791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin payment implementing at the Bitcoin Island(BORACAY) on: November 06, 2022, 02:51:51 PM
I had read a poster about that recently and I just cannot recall it where I saw it.

Great move by them though, I don't know why the biggest Philippine exchange (Coins.ph) hasn't made such a move.
I must have not been paying attention to crypto news lately since I have not heard of Pouch just yet until you mentioned it.
I am a little bit surprised that Coins did not implement this as well though considering how popular their app is along with other apps like GCash. I would love to use Bitcoin as a payment method once I hopped back into Boracay in my vacation, lol. Cheesy

I must be sleeping through the banks and trading services here in my country. Usually I just use Coins PH anyway when it comes to my crypto holdings plus I do not trade that much.

Knowing that Unionbank adopted crypto is not surprising anymore. I would not even be surprised if BPI, Landbank and BDO would follow after this news since crypto is pretty much gaining popularity here after the NFT craze many months ago. Cheesy
793  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you further your degree from school, or learn a new skill after college? on: November 05, 2022, 08:04:41 PM

For your #1 friend, it really depends actually such as the industry that she will be working on. Here in my country, pushing through Master's Degree would be beneficial to some courses like IT where it would lead to a more "higher" position especially in the government jobs. Other industries might be or might be not.

For your #2 friend, if she would pursue to be a freelancer, then it would be a great help plus the cost would be a bit lower since resources for learning skills out there are almost free. If we would put web dev skills for example, you could just watch plenty of tutorials and do your own project then google the rest for almost free of charge.

Both of your friends are already fine in the first place since they are both degree holder, now it all just depends on "what" are they going to pursue.

I can recall myself being happy earning a karma and awards from Reddit just from a single comment, but I never made a post about it. Cheesy
Considering OP's post history are mostly about merits, s/he is really valuing it that much for obvious reasons. I linked the thread where s/he could show off his ranking up which no doubt s/he would do if s/he reaches Jr or even Member rank.

Making too much noise about merits just speaks out the reason on the OP's intention here in the forum. Roll Eyes

In commission based jobs, you would likely end up job hunting endlessly. It is like freelancing if you would ask me. You are the boss of your own, but you would end up working endlessly just to close a sale. If you are struggling financially, at least a salary based job would be a "mental" cushion for you so you have a guarantee salary and it is not just the end of the month, there are businesses that pay bi-weekly.

I disagree that you have no personal time in salary based job. It depends on the industry you are at. There are a lot of software devs out there that just did not do work at all the whole week, because there is nothing to work out and the company will pay them regardless since they are present in the workplace.

No thread necessary, OP. Even if "Henri" was inactive, the best thing you could do is just leave a personal message to him and not make a thread like these.

If you're going to make some sort of "diary" about your life here in the forum, just make a self-moderated thread in Reputation section. For some ranking up and achievements, it would be best to just share it here -  [Announce your rank up, merit or any achievements that makes you feel great!]
797  Economy / Economics / Re: 5 things you should not do with your money to get rich on: November 04, 2022, 07:05:47 AM
Number 1 could be simplified as just don't spend on something that you do not need at times that you are financially at risk.
It is perfectly fine to buy your wants, but bear in mind on if you would need that money to pay your bills or nah. People think that buying their satisfactions pays off their bills automatically.

Another one I would like to add up is don't loan if it is only for your wants. Better hold that money that you are planning to use for your PS5. Cheesy
798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 04, 2022, 06:52:18 AM

Well it is called "investment" anyway so I think that pretty much sums up what you're asking. I had sold some of my old investment but then whenever bearish season arrives, I am going to buy back that sold investment to invest another in the long term.

Might be hard to do it, but as long as you're willing to lose what you need invested, you would be fine.

Sadly it is the way it is. Unless we get another random influencers mentioning Bitcoin a lot at these moments, non-crypto users would just look at the price as just another investment that is not worth investing at.
Surely after the 69k, people would now believe that Bitcoin is reaaaaally not those shitcoins that you usually encounter in the market.

The consistent 5 digit in USD price surely brings a lot attention already to a lot of investor. $200 is already a lot when converted here in my local currency, what more if it is five? Cheesy

Surely this Twitter news and his previous attention from crypto investors are two different things. If there's any impact, it would be the stock price of Twitter. Cheesy

Even a group of people would not matter, these influencers would just stay where they belong. If there's going to be "real" influencers that we should be really following, it would be those names like Vitalik, Saylor, etc. and not these people from Twitter.
