And why did you transfer Bitcoin to him instead of transferring fiat? In my case almost nobody in my environment knows that I have Bitcoin and if I have to help someone, for example by making donations, I do it using fiat, not Bitcoin. That story OP wrote might seem far fetched, or even a merit-fishing tactic (and maybe it is) but I did similar thing more than once, I sent BTC to people in need (orphanage and some humanitarian organizations). The only difference is that I was sending BTC and they were receiving fiat as it was done via Paycek, which is popular crypto payment processor in my country. I could have sent fiat instead, but I simply wanted to do my part when it comes to Bitcoin adoption. Can relate although here in my country, it is a little bit different where I use Coins PH mainly as an app to send BTC to other people as well. It won't hurt to use it instead of fiat if it brings that much convenience for you. When it was the first few days of pandemic, it is the most used app for me instead of the other traditional digital payments that were widely used in here. There were people using other apps like GCash, but it's a meh for me.

Maybe soon I will start teaching them the basics of crypto but I won't let them know immediately that I have some amount of crypto in my wallet, since they will probably expect that I am holding plenty and could think too much that I am rich and just keeping it secret for them. I'll wait until I make that BTC count bulky enough.
Hopefully it will be just a straightforward explanation for them.

Neither to be fair. If you're talking about shitcoins which are plenty of coins here in the market, then expect more than a crash, buddy. Once Bitcoin plummets, expect many shitcoins going to just go below the charts. Newbies should buy what they feel is the safe investment. The timing is not a question. It's always a great time to buy your first coin. I am not sure in the part that "wealth" is being produced from market conditions though.

In the end, people still got to convert it to fiat in order to practically use it for any common stuffs outside crypto. I did still send some Bitcoin to a friend overseas back then, as the remittance center here are quite distant and I would never want to pay for transportation especially these days also considering the charge fee are quite ballsy in here. If my friend was just by next door, it would be stupid for me to still help him by sending Bitcoin, lol.

Does he still shill it until this day or writing this? I never heard from the guy shilling any coins since. Only news I can recall was their new daughter, lol which is now an off topic obviously for this thread. Is SHIB still kicking til these days or it's a meh right now?
I do not have any plans to invest in any of these meme coins ever.

It is mostly going to be digital actually, unless you did a little bit of conversion like I did and mentioned in here previously. I am curious if we were able to purchase Steam Credits directly with Bitcoin. I do not mind using third-party sites and not directly from Steam platform itself, but only if it has a good reviews. I can only purchase one of those with a little bit of conversion which kinda sucks because of the fees.

In the end, it would be like only peanuts for him. It's not something he has worked for it anyway. He can buy whatever coin he wanted even the shitcoins if that's what he pleases to do so. I wouldn't call it indirect support to be honest though even if I can recall that Tesla adopted crypto payments in their business.

Are gaming coins really a good for an investment? I am a little bit curious if they are even worth the hold, since a lot of games just pretty much die out regardless of how great it was pre-, mid-, and even post-launch. Sure it can be profitable in early launch, but from the games even popping up right now I had doubts that newer games could even get to see the sun.
I missed playing AAA games lol.

Congratulations, OP! I've been seeing your posts frequently both in our Filipino local board as well as in Bitcoin Discussion. Really interesting topics you brought up! I never got a chance to hop into discussion though.

I never really bothered with Binance card although people here are mentioning it quite frequently. I just usually stick to my own wallet in spending or buying stuffs online although it is a bit indirect method since I somehow convert it first to my local currency before dispatching a payment.
Good thing I don't encounter fees though, just a little bit of conversion fees lol.

It has been here since 2018, OP. Before 2018, it was all activity-based on how you would rank up in here. Think of merit as like Award system in Reddit although there are no ranks there, I believe. If you'd like some reading entertainment, search the Meta section in late January 2018. The whole section just exploded with threads about merits, and it was friggin' wild.
Lol. I recall B&H being bombarded by "plagiarism" posts by many newbies trying too hard to earn merits.

This. I am pretty sure that the ATH has been reached before just because Musk was surely hyping it up for people. It just takes a single celebrity to just turn the wheels around. I never nor bothered thinking about buying these meme coins in the first place and that even counts Doge. There have been many variation of SHIBA and it's insane on why people are doing it, lol.

From the past posts of the OP, I am pretty sure that s/he just don't like Bitcoin at all. @OP There are way many more coins in the market now and it just wants me to stick more into Bitcoin. Lots of coins just disappearing off the CMC plus I don't think those coins you mentioned were meant to replace Bitcoin anyway.

Well glad that we can help you in there, OP. If you are already satisfied with the answers provided by us in this thread, kindly lock this thread in order to avoid possible spams.
All the best to you OP in your journey here, by the way.

Couldn't even find the CEO of "Bull Run" . Oh boy, that could be a good name for a business with just a slight.... change in the name lol. It's just people throwing off random numbers just when the market moves at the slightest and the same goes for those who are calling it all bear market just because there was a price correction

I am not a NFT holder but most of my friends that played NFT games are now selling off their NFTs. I do not have any full information about the game, but it is getting hyped a lot in here. And of course, you got in airdrop and you did not pay for anything so it would be obviously no risk in the end. 3-5 holding of NFTs is a bit.....too long and I wouldn't advise that long for many people.

Never saw that big of an APY to be honest. Even 10% is quite a stretch already for me and I wouldn't trust the project without any in-depth research or even an interview with the devs. Turns out DeFis are still a thing these days, lol. I thought they were like 2020. I must've missed a lot in my calendar.

People are taking advantage of #2 for the short-term. Guess that not everybody is fan of long-term holding that's why they're just joining the hype. Count meme coins for one on that. I heard from one of my colleagues that they do not care if a random guy in Twitter just shill the crap out of it, as long as they get to profit from it in the end cause that's what matters for them. For #3, that's a lot to cover actually since people just wanted to buy cheaper coins so that they can bag it for the holding, but they're not fully aware of what's to come. For #4, do not rely too much into reviews as some of them are paid. There are legit reviews and there are paid reviews.

Well considering how NFTs are being perceived by the many, I can imagine that majority portion of the Instagram would be just a marketplace now, lol. It's been a while since I heard from Zuckerberg lol.
What happened to their previous project anyway? Libra? Diem? I heard that it just died out or cancelled.

It depends on the game itself as well, but mostly it is just destined to fail anyway. It is like those P2W MMOs out there and of course those ain't NFTs or Metaverse. Probably those in the top are going to remain playing the game, but when the hype dies out, they will surely just follow also. Dead game in the end.
