501  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: March 01, 2023, 05:17:25 PM
~
True. Kinda sad that I don't stumble upon these quite often in here, not surprised anyway considering it is US. Here in my country, people do have the options to still save money even from food delivery services by having some voucher within the app like FoodPanda or even UberEats (although mentioned already in the OP). It might not be straightforward unlike the ones described in the OP, but it is still worth noting anyway.

Buying cheaper food? Gotta relate to that sometimes that I tend to buy those cheap meal/s from convenience store/s like 7-11. It kinda sucks that it is ran through a microwave since it is already ready-to-eat box, but hey it works for me sometimes. I just avoid eating that same cheap meal over and over again though since it is kind of unhealthy due to preservatives.
502  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is for the important things on: March 01, 2023, 05:09:03 PM

Well it could either be that I am spending too much on something that I don't really need or I primarily focus on things that are just needed and kind of "over-saving" myself. Your happiness is what matters the most at the end. If you have a spare money to buy what you want, do it right now as long as you can still pay your next bill/s.

You cannot bring your money in your grave and we all know that we are all going to that point.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: Would You Consider Adding Bitcoin to Your Retirement Savings on: March 01, 2023, 02:57:47 PM
~
Might consider a bit of both. I mean it would not stop me anyway from doing the traditional way of doing retirement savings anyway, and I already had IRA in my mind when I received my first paycheck. Having a little bit of Bitcoin as my retirement savings is going to be beneficial either way.

It is a saving regardless. For the degree? Those percentage are quite high if you would ask me. Just like others mentioned, >10% is quite high in my own end. It might be okay with others, but not for me.
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: March 01, 2023, 02:49:59 PM
We cannot compare Airdrops from the past and how it is now so best to remind yourself if this is still worth it or not? because the way airdrops being advertise now it is given that they are only luring stupid people to let them becomg popular and earn while airdroppers will be losers.
I forget about this since years ago because of constant scam accusations  i have been reading , lucky that i never become one since day one.
The word "stupid" is a harsh description for those people that are still trying to do those though. Let's just call it "inexperienced" instead. There are some recent replies pointing out that there are somehow still legitimate airdrops going on, but I ain't going to try to attempt them regardless since I do not have the time to do another airdrop hunts again like I usually do before.

It's just not worth it in my own time. Others might enjoy it though so good for them.
505  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops? on: February 28, 2023, 09:31:42 PM

Even if you do find the project team, official telegram, LinkedIn pages of each team with a lots of followers, they are not entirely the indicator of something of "not a scam". A scummy team would pretend to be another team just to make the public believe that they are legitimate cause who in the legitimate team would check it anyway, right?

I would steer clear of airdrops if I were you. It is not just worth it. Upgrade00 also mentioned "identity theft" and believe me, it almost happened to me back then as well with just an icing on the top of the cake of phishing website.
506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your profit taking strategy? on: February 28, 2023, 09:29:10 PM
~
Usually I take profits when Bitcoin pumps at least around 20% and then just keep it again. Those holdings are just like my sideline to earn from and I do have a separate "mother" hodling that I don't entirely sell or touch at any point. It is just there to be a long-term holding nothing else.

Back then I bought altcoins and whenever the increases looked so unrealistic, I would sell it right away. I do not want to end up in sharp red line. To answer your question, no it is not just 2x nor it is too early. It depends on the urgency on how you need the money.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors so sceptical about Altcoins? on: February 26, 2023, 02:15:28 PM
Not sure why is this a question, OP.  Are you always certain that altcoins are going to deliver in the future?

Knowing that there are many projects out there are just going to end up in Scam Accusation board should already be an indicator for you on why many, not just altcoin investors, are skeptical about everything. It's not just the volatility actually since there are people that are even skeptical in stablecoins. It's not about picking the right coins or even having that "special skill" you mentioned. It is just the basic of using your instincts to make sure that your money is going somewhere that is hella worth.
508  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your bitter-sweet experience in trading that you can't get over. on: February 26, 2023, 01:50:39 PM
~
Another retelling of my story before I guess. Well I started out learning day trading in Youtube specifically on how to trade in Binance. Got to learn few tools used in the video like Bollinger Bands and RSI, I followed all along and thought it was all too easy and I might end up just doing this every day.

End result? It was horrible. I was mentally exhausted and burnt out into buying more coins to trade since I was not getting anywhere. I know it takes a lot of time to learn the ropes, but knowing that I am already exhausted with the first few weeks became the sign that trading was not just for me and that is completely fine. The takeaway from that is I am a long-term holder. I just wish I could have invested those times into programming, but nah I am in a better place now.
509  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I gave investment advice to my grandfather. on: February 25, 2023, 08:18:30 PM

That was the right call, OP. I am not sure why would others push into going all of their wealth into Bitcoin and would even going far into selling their own lands and property just for the sake of getting into it or even becoming a whale. I can recall some stories in Trading Discussion surrounding those topics.

I would also advise your grandfather as well about other things to be learned about with Bitcoin such as where it is the best to hold it and its whole in-depth stuffs.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🐞 Dogecoin Will hit $1? on: February 25, 2023, 06:34:42 PM
Just wait for another tweet from Musk and maybe it would go $1.5? Cheesy
But seriously nah, I would not count on it. There are even insane ones that are speculating other meme coins like Shiba reaching $1. Right now the best that the data can show is that $.7 is the ATH and that needs to be surpassed first before we can talk about $1.
Considering that it even went down with 1 decimal place, it has a long waaaay to go still.
511  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you have any financial regrets ? on: February 25, 2023, 06:29:28 PM
~
They're just indeed a lesson instead of regrets and this is why I do not feel too bad when my calculated risk did not work out in the first place. That apartment of yours? Well we all have that kind of scenarios where we missed out. It is not part of your control anyway that its housing price could have skyrocketed, and you weren't to know it anyway. I guess the takeaway lesson from that is that when we're talking about lands and properties expect appreciation in price. It can only go up.

My only particular regret which turned into lesson is not saving up early.
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have bitcoin, what do you guys recommend I buy as well on: February 24, 2023, 08:24:55 PM
Well more Bitcoin if you're having a little bit of concern in the risk involved in the other coins aside Bitcoin. If you're really into alts, just go with ETH. I cannot say the same for BNB as I noticed other users mentioning it., since I am only suggesting based on my experience both day trading and holding.

Another option you could do is just wait for another dip for Bitcoin and just buy more from there. Good luck, OP!
513  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run a bounty campaign? on: February 24, 2023, 08:20:43 PM

That's the start. But still even with reputation sometimes, you would still struggle since there are plenty of reputated BMs out there. I would that before or/and after you got your first project handled, make sure that you're indeed marketable and devs would be convinced that you are the right guy for the job.

Source? Might not be related but this is how I struggled back then in my freelance career without any reputation. The same could still be applied for sure and at least more manageable since the number of people offering services here might be less than the platform I worked in the past.
514  Economy / Economics / Re: How to spend money determines whether you can avoid unnecessary problems on: February 24, 2023, 05:02:05 PM
~
Well cause they spend their money that way, so they just keep doing it and regret it later on. It's not really a trap if you would look at it. Pretty sure that they're aware that they're losing money on things that are not necessarily worth spending for.

You mentioned spending seven bucks for cup of coffee every morning? I would assume that it is a Starbucks purchase. I personally never bought anything from Starbucks since I can just blend my own coffee either around office or even at home. It is sometimes just social status that people wanted to show off that they're rich and people should be jealous of them. Those other scenarios you mentioned pretty much sums up what I usually see in celebrities or some of my friends in social media that just wanted to gain attention and yeah, I do not care.

It's their money, OP. Surely after they go broke, they would learn their lesson.
515  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My father thinks I'm working in a shop,he didn't know I'm bitcointalking. on: February 24, 2023, 04:47:18 PM
The whole essence of this discussion boils down to the fact that the forum should not be taken as a place where we make money exclusively, but that our earnings from signature campaigns are only additional income. At the end of the day, it's not all about making money, but working in real life has its benefits, because in addition to working for a salary and pension, we also socialize and make friends, which is an important part of our lives.
This is what I am trying to point to some threads before that points out anything related to earning. There might be SCs that would last more than 5 years even, but at any day or at any point, it will end anyway when the devs decided to do so. I have a corporate job in software dev while also at least trying to get something in the sides through SCs.

Now that you mentioned benefits also, having an insurance benefits from a corporate job is also nice since nobody knows what will happen to you at any point of time. For socializing, oh man, I missed touching grass when I was freelancing. The lack of socialization led me to poor performance as well as lack of motivation to work or even learn newer skills in my own field especially that we all know that technology does not stop evolving.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run a bounty campaign? on: February 23, 2023, 07:57:49 PM
If you really don't know How to manage Bounty then it is difficult for you first create portfolio and submit then contact you from there if any project team let you manage then you bounty You can manage but you won't be able to if you don't know the forum rules Want a bounty manager You must learn a lot of stuff if you don't understand how it functions. Know the rules of every forum, understand cryptocurrency, and start looking for projects.
That's easier said than done. How would you create portfolio when you're still starting? You can't just make things up and fake your way since the devs that will work with you will likely do a background check just like any other workplace out there for transparency check in your end.

We already have a lot of bounty managers here in forum and getting in that work would take a while for a newbie to get started especially without any prior experience. Just look at Services section to how many users are trying to bump their services in order to get noticed.
517  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Everyone Eventually Buys at the Price they Deserve on: February 23, 2023, 07:34:56 PM
$24k to $64 is very likely, it will touch the last ATH, maybe even more when the market is already bullish and the timing is right. just focus on the main goal, do it for the long term. It will give you greater profits when you are patient and wait for the right moment.
That's the goal anyway, but when we're talking about "likeliness" we'll never know. It might take decades, years, months, or just a couple of hours to reach that. In the long term, just keep holding. Not like it is all about making me earn a lot of profits anyway as a long-term holder.

Others may say that Bitcoin is like a money-making scheme just like the one I previously replied in the other thread, but nah that's just the icing in the cake.
518  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My father thinks I'm working in a shop,he didn't know I'm bitcointalking. on: February 23, 2023, 07:31:04 PM

Well I am not sure what you do expect as a response from your father when you mentioned "bitcointalking" let alone "bitcoin". He surely will be curious to whatever you were doing so expect a  lot of questions day by day from him especially when you're the breadwinner.

Just a correction like others mentioned that Bitcoin is not your money making scheme. Sure it gives you the chances to earn profit, but the whole idea of Bitcoin does not revolve in "earning money".
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run a bounty campaign? on: February 22, 2023, 04:54:45 PM
Ask some reputated managers here, and I am pretty sure they will give you a straight answer from their experience unless they are busy with something.

It is not going to be your typical data entry, OP. There are some users that think that bounty manager only manages the spreadsheet with the list of the partcipants that join it, but it is not. It is called BM for a reason, not a data entry clerk. Surely you're going to talk with the devs/team about the campaign and stuff.

It's your responsibility in the end if you would decide to stop the campaign after it was exposed and this is why, again, BM is not your typical data entry work.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is currently the best crypto to invest in? on: February 22, 2023, 04:48:25 PM

Well the returns is a lot but it is not enough for me to change my life somehow.

I can recall my friends back then trying to be the next Bill Gates in the world, only to turned out to be a broke in the end since they just blindly threw away their money for the sake of just throwing money away as an investment while it is not what you "investment". Take risk, people but at least make it somehow a calculated one.
