1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you also a holder of one of these coins? on: June 06, 2022, 09:33:20 PM
Sorry no, nor I do have any plans to buy those tokens anytime soon. APE coin seems to be like a trend now these days and I am not sure if it is even worth the risk of doing so in the end.
I am just going to do my usual holding of Bitcoin and keep it like that.
I do not want to end up reading in the news that my coins got hacked.

Seemingly that is what OP is trying to point out, though it is really pointless to just say it to be "ETH Killers". It is like calling Twitter as the Facebook Killer. It is an absurd example, I know. Cheesy

Just because bearish market arrived and many pump and dump coins are now called "ETH Killers".
1163  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong foot on bitcointalk on: June 05, 2022, 09:02:26 PM
I take it back to start a new life in this forum, hoping to get proper guide on where to start from so that I can learn and contribute to the forum too as others.
This right here is what I was hoping into the other use that posted about his intention here which was to primarily get money off the forum. Many newbies are introduced in the wrong way in this forum and that is quite saddening to be honest, but it is not too late to change someone's way anyway once they saw the big picture on what is the forum all about. This is a forum not an earning platform. I see this forum as like a subreddit for cryptos but with more active community and engagements if you're asking.

I am still going to watch your posts, OP.  If I had seen an actual changes by couple of weeks or so, I'll award you a couple of merits exactly in this thread. I already bookmarked it just in case.
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty is taking another direction on: June 04, 2022, 09:01:09 PM

It's obvious since social media networks are now flooded with many people unlike back then. It is still a gamble since it is not guaranteed to get many audience there due to fierce competition that many projects have these days desperate for investors.
Signature campaigns are obviously inside the forum and the exposure is limited, but if your product is standing out really well anyway in this  forum, you might not need to get a wider reach in other social media networking sites.
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Depression Starts in Cryptocurrency Anytime on: June 04, 2022, 08:51:57 PM

It is simply the emotional attachment to your investment, because why you wouldn't be anyway. No one likes to be broke. Everyone needs money and if you risk that kind of need to something trash, it would obviously take a toll in you emotionally.
There are no such thing as not being emotional. Maybe people are calling it to be not emotionally  tied to something, but emotion is still there. I've been emotional to my investments back in 2017, but I got used to those emotions that it made me decide better.
You can't just tell someone to "stop being emotional".
1166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paid the birth fee using bitcoin at the clinic, by accident. on: June 04, 2022, 06:55:38 PM

Congrats, dude. This is the first time I heard someone using Bitcoin for such situations like this.
I kinda wished as well that at least a single ATMs was at least within a walking distance, so I could at least buy/sell.

Yo, please edit out the name of your son for privacy stuffs like mk4 replied.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Read this before you exit crypto space on: June 04, 2022, 06:47:52 PM
They came as an ETH killer and look at them right now?
Though I like the idea of staying on this market even on a bear market, I just don't like those coins well you can really have it as long as you analyze it properly but if you are a newbie, better to look for a more good project especially on this market. This is a great opportunity to buy many good projects while they are still cheap, the next Bitcoin halving will surely bring a positive impact on this market, many are slowly preparing for this and we should also do that as a small investor.
Lol, I can see that someone remembered that post of that certain user claiming that the coin was an ETH killer. Every altcoin now these days are being called ETH killer just because it is an altcoin.
Should ETH be also called BTC Killer? Cheesy
I am getting sick of it, lol
1168  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you do if you are me on: June 03, 2022, 09:28:35 PM
They are... kind of. But not perfect and shouldn't be completely relied upon. If you be cautious (ie, visit shady websites, install cracked games/softwares/porn sites) - you will be safe without one.
Assuming that the user is using Windows OS, it would be fine for him to just stick to the Windows Security by default if he is not doing such an in-depth browsing.
I can still recall when I encountered plenty of adware in my PC even if I was not really downloading anything. It was a nightmare, but it serves as a lesson as well for me anyway.
1169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Four (4) Tips On How I Handle Criticism on Bitcointalk Forum on: June 03, 2022, 09:05:17 PM
Why worry about criticism on the Internet? Well, if someone doesn’t like the way a person writes,  both have a choice, they can just pass by. Most often, this is what most users do. But there is another popular word that applies to users who cry from criticism. This is "snowflake."

Whenever you are hurt by the words of a stranger to you, remember that now you have become just that.
This word "snowflake" made me remember when I was in my teenager years, like I was clueless when people are fighting in front of me calling the other person a "snowflake". I guess that is what was meant.

I heard that word quite often even in voice chats in games as well.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good time for alts on: June 03, 2022, 07:53:25 PM
Do we need to wait more 1- 2 years then buy alts now before right before bull market kick in?
As the saying by many Bitcoin holders, it always is the best time to invest. It could have been better back in the days, but everyone is surely going to think that it is still a better time to buy now.
That goes for Bitcoin. I am not sure about many alts out there though.
Maybe just take alts in the top 10 and call it a day.
1171  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone help me? on: June 03, 2022, 07:49:57 PM
This forum has rules, so the best advice for him is to understand some of the rules. Of course that is a piece of knowledge that all users here should have. About any other knowledge that concerns crypto, the OP just needs to take the time to read. It would increase his knowledge, but I think he needs to have a purpose to be in this forum.
Sadly, I think the OP's purpose is how he can get money from this forum just by quoting what he replied to me in my previous reply in this thread.
More precisely my question is how to get money from this forum
please look into my question more  Grin
OP needs a bit of.....redirection just like what Upgrade00 replied to me.

I am still hoping OP change his purpose here as part of his growth in this forum as well.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFTs new features on the market on: June 02, 2022, 10:22:48 PM

Nice shill, but that is not going to work.
I had read your posts history and you seem to just shill this coin around the forum. The more you just keep mentioning that game, the less I get interested in NFT games these days.
Jeez..

I recall a lot of threads doing this same thing.
1173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain what is the value of meme coins? on: June 02, 2022, 10:19:28 PM
I am confused that there are meme coins whose prices are sky rocketing but I dont see any real value these meme coins are providing
If you don't see any real values, where do you think these money came from and who do you think are those people willing to buy a lot of these? Of course those people who are really hyped up for these coins just because it is a meme.
Sometimes an internet culture should just stay in internet culture, smh
1174  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounties and Airdrops on: June 02, 2022, 07:50:43 PM
Oh where have you been? Its 2022 already. If you gonna liquidate those bounties youve joined before then surely it dont have value now or if they have very little now.
Not gonna lie, I still had those tokens that I got back in 2017. I don't even recall the name of the token already plus I also lost the wallet itself. Not like I regretted it since it turned out to be a dead coin after 2 years from that.
It ain't worth holding, lol and that was one of my hardest lesson back then.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba getting rugged like Luna? on: June 01, 2022, 08:54:54 PM
I mean that is already the founder and not just a certain part of the team. Rubbing salt to the wound would be those deletion of the posts, so that people would not be able to comment or  ask  anything to the dev themselves.
I am not sure why people are still staying in this meme coin for too long even if there were red flags like these happening already.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often do you transact in the real world with your bitcoin or digital money? on: June 01, 2022, 08:54:11 PM
For Bitcoin, not so much actually. I usually ended up converting them to PHP so that I can use them to buy whatever I want. It is not that "direct" method of payment since it involved fiat still.
For digital money, it's daily for me now. There are plenty of QR codes out there almost here in my area where you would just scan using an app and the payment confirmation would go through so that you would be able to verify if you really wanted to pay that amount. I used local apps here in my country like GCash. Just bought Steam Wallet using that app yesterday, speaking of.
1177  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Four (4) Tips On How I Handle Criticism on Bitcointalk Forum on: June 01, 2022, 08:26:48 PM
~
Sometimes I take humiliation or embarrassment as a way to thicken my skin, not just in this forum but to the whole internet as well so sometimes I just tend to not use the Ignore button. Maybe if there was a point that the certain user is now bugging me out when I just wanted to participate in a discussion.
For constructive criticisms, I often give merit to those who gave those to me. I am open to learning more anyway. Cheesy
1178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Monthly Bitcointalk Registered Users in 2022 on: June 01, 2022, 08:21:55 PM
If you are doing a research on the number of bitcoin users in 2022, then you shouldn’t even be using this method for data collection. The research topic is too broad imo, you should be more specific and limit your research to a city or country. Your data will not be accurate if you only use the number of newly registered users in bitcointalk. The accounts you recorded may be bots, alts of old members, bounty hunters, spammers, e.t.c these categories are not new bitcoin users (remember bounty hunters concern themselves with mostly altcoins section of the forum) and their reasons for being here may not be genuine. You will need to collect data from other websites that have done similar research and so on.
I am pretty sure that not all users of Bitcoin are even registered here in Bitcointalk. They could be just reading around here as a Guest but do not really want to participate.
If OP is aiming to conduct such analysis, it would be a better to specify a specific area (e.g his/her local area) just like what you said.
1179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the market rise in June on: May 31, 2022, 09:06:15 PM
As of writing this, Bitcoin at least rose for 1k which was just June 1 here in my own timezone, so I guess that is your first answer already. I cannot say the same for other coins though. I would recommend you to just go for Bitcoin now if the "rise" is what makes you think twice on where to invest now.
1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a good list for longterm investment? on: May 31, 2022, 09:04:47 PM
1/6 Bitcoin (BTC)
1/6 Ethereum (ETH)
1/6 Polygon (MATIC)
1/6 ApeCoin (APE)
1/6 Aave (AAVE)
1/6 Astar (ASTR)
Well you could be better if you're going to just all in Bitcoin. If you're truly into alts, go for Ethereum. I do not have an idea what the rest of your portfolio is/was all about, nor I do mind since it is your money anyway.
Since you mentioned "long-term investment", I think you should reconsider your list of investment..... a little bit.
