1341  Other / Off-topic / Re: Unknown Email Received. Be careful. on: April 06, 2022, 09:08:07 PM
I wouldn't trust any emails from randoms at all.

Although not directly related to the OP, I also receive tons of SMS from random people thinking that they can just bait me out of their links claiming that they are offering work worth $100/hr, lol.
It was so bad that my own app was self-aware filtering it to "Spam & Blocked".
1342  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price moving too much on: April 06, 2022, 05:48:58 PM

Ask that to the people in here since the forum started. I am pretty sure you are going to get an obvious answer.
I've been in here in the forum since 2017, although I got my first Bitcoin earlier than that year. It never went wrong. It is not all about just the price, OP. Consider also its utility.
Bitcoin is not here to solve unemployment nor poverty.

You need to work on your post, OP. It is really hard to read.
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: newbie invest on: April 06, 2022, 05:36:00 PM

...Or just put it all in Bitcoin. That's what I would do with that amount actually even if the top altcoins are still good. Maybe it's just a matter of "preference" sometimes, but from my experience with Bitcoin, it never went wrong ever.

I would just try other coins for day trading in which I had quit to do long time ago.
1344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are you preparing for bear market on: April 05, 2022, 09:49:44 PM
~
Bro, isn't the bearish market the reason why you should invest now? People tend to think that bearish trends means it's the end of the lifespan of their investment. That's my cue most of the time to buy more Bitcoin.
Maybe shitcoins won't survive, but surely coins like Bitcoin will. We have been experiencing both trends since a decade already.

It's always the hypes to be honest. Regardless of what type token is it in the future, it will always be about hypes for obvious reasons of number of contributions plus the demand of course. NFTs here in my country won't just die, maybe due to how interactive and "fun" it is to have that "play to earn" concept and not just all charts and graphs of sort.

For shitcoins, it's not for the faint hearted people.
1346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you tell your friends about your crypto achievements? on: April 05, 2022, 07:04:57 PM

This is quite....wholesome, but I guess there are just different people out there. Some are filled with jealousy towards you and would bash you over and over just to tell them your secret of your source of income, because who hates money right?
I hope you and your friends are doing well in the future.
1347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Learn From Your Senior Colleagues. on: April 05, 2022, 09:50:11 AM

There could be a certain internet user out there that knows more about Bitcoin more than us. Rank here does not pertain the knowledge of a certain user. I had seen quite few newbies here with a lot more experience in the technical side of Bitcoin that I was not even knowledgeable of.
1348  Other / Meta / Re: Would the IQ test have made the forum better? on: April 05, 2022, 09:45:10 AM
-
I was thinking of this for just a little while. Instead of entirely removing IQ points, it would just show up privately into the user's profile for at least that user will know if s/he needs improvement or at least needs to know more.
Having it completely show up in front of other users might end up discouraging engagement in conversations for obvious reasons.

Though in the end, it is still a meh suggestion for me. Newbies to crypto should spend a lot of more time reading rather than posting anyway.
1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Smith Inu? on: April 03, 2022, 05:57:03 PM

They're really squeezing the crap out of any trending coins out there just for the sake of grabbing quick money from people that are aiming the same thing and that is just to pump the price up and exit out after the price went over +100%.
Surely this is going to be bought by groups of people that aim to pump it up and leading newbies thinking that this coin is profitable.
1350  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Getting up and trying again on: April 02, 2022, 09:05:03 PM
Unpopular opinion: sometimes giving up is the answer.
It's not unpopular to be honest as that is one of the harsh realities that everyone should really know or realize.
I did day trading back then watching some youtubers like CryptoJack to learn about the basic ropes of day trading (I am not sure if I really mentioned the name right as it was long time ago) and it just didn't work out for me even by hard work in a month.
Luck comes into play and it is not just all about hard work.

I also realize this when during my first few days in freelancing. Cheesy
1351  Other / Meta / Re: IQ testing now required before posting on: April 02, 2022, 11:46:54 AM
April fools! I hope that people had fun. It's always funny how many people are actually fooled.
Thanks for the April Fools Joke, theymos! It was fun even for just a day. Too bad I was out of my home during whole day this happened, but good thing I was able to join this conversation even for a short-time.
U cant stahp me fr0m poosting Tongue

That question really caught me off-guard, ngl.
1352  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: April 01, 2022, 09:47:34 PM
~
It's only a rumor that Satoshi is not an individual but is a group of people. What we only have is his Wikipedia images of him and that's it.
There were many faketoshis already and I wouldn't even mention one that is "quite popular" here in the forum.
Elon Musk being Satoshi is never going to be true in my opinion though.
1353  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: April 01, 2022, 09:35:48 PM
~
It's probably going to be just another hobby for them if they at least learn about Bitcoin. Some would be just become a gamer at home and refused to even interact with a lot of people due to their comfort zone, now that games like Fortnite and some new AAA games are still kicking these days, lol
1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who are the top crypto influencers on: April 01, 2022, 08:58:03 PM
~
Elon, lol. He was like that latest crypto influencer that I known.
He shilled quite few coins back then. It made me think that he is purely the reason that Bitcoin even went past 20k which was what I was eyeing back in 2017.
In the end, I do not really care about these crypto influencers. I might be using CZ's platform, but I did not use the platform due to who is the founder or CEO of the platform anyway.
1355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are growing in numbers every day on Twitter, be careful out there on: April 01, 2022, 06:09:07 PM
~
Cloud mining? Yeah most of them are pretty much scam. I would rather just invest those into holding Bitcoin or even just build my own mining rig. As far as I know, Twitter isn't the only one that people should be wary of these scenarios. Pretty much any social media platform, I would say. In Facebook, there are plenty of spam bot accounts wanting you to do the same thing.

I cannot provide the screenshot as it was taken down already.

1357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Women and Cryptocurrency on: March 31, 2022, 09:03:50 PM
~
Depends though. I heard from some podcasts back then that women are business-minded and that would connect that they are risk takers. Maybe the technology is a bit overwhelming to learn for newbies. The fees, the wallets, nodes and stuff.
I am a tech-savvy, but there are some portion of this large technology that we're using that doesn't make any sense. Cheesy
This is maybe why some women refused to be part of crypto sometimes.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the sign of bull market start on: March 31, 2022, 09:01:13 PM

I recall back then when I was trading altcoins and I wanted to put it back into my MEW for keeps. The gas fees were insane and it reached to the point that I need to wait for a day just to top-up my ETH wallet to get that gas going.
I guess I was one of those small investors you mentioned as $40 is a lot here in my country. Cheesy
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the sign of bull market start on: March 31, 2022, 05:55:54 PM
Just price increase of BTC as what poodle63 mentioned below you.
There is not so much signs to it. Just be careful of the bull traps though as they are a common traps by the whales, just for you to panic sell and let them take all the bag after that.
1360  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Question about sharing merits on: March 31, 2022, 09:45:12 AM
From Jr member to Member, all thanks for those who rank me up, I want to ask a question about merits, as a member account owner is it proper to merit someone else? Or too early to be sending merits to others? Thanks.
Just don't send them to your alts if you have one.
There is no such thing as "too early" nor "too late"  to send merits to others. Feel free to award it to a deserving post if you see one.

No point in hoarding them though as mentioned in your merit page

Quote
There is no point in hoarding sMerit; keeping it yourself does not benefit you, and we reserve the right to decay unused sMerit in the future.
