4821  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust unknown phone numbers / Bitcoin Investment Scams on: October 02, 2019, 11:47:30 PM
Maybe you used your number on some website for things like sms verification or it could have been leaked from some database. The fact that you are a person who is involved in Bitcoin related activities and have lots of knowledge about bitcoin shows that the person who tried to contact you knows or at least thinks you know about cryptos and probably have some bitcoins with you.

So it could have been one of the crypto related exchanges or websites that may have leaked your phone number if you ever used it for verification
4822  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bought BTC and changed it to ADA - Total Transaction Cost 10%, so high?? on: September 29, 2019, 11:07:50 AM
So I went immediately to an online converter and checked how much my 9,453.620789 ADA are worth right now. It was 362.26$ !!! So is this normal? I paid almost 10% or 40$ in transaction cost. Is there a cheaper way to get ADAs?

Thanks alot.
The Answer is right under your nose. Use an exchange like Binance, sign up, send your BTC, Place a buy order and wait for it to get filled and boom you get ADA at a lower price.

You don't even need to verify for KYC with most good exchanges like binance for transaction less than 2 BTC, so, you can still trade there whilst remaining anonymous.

Coinswitch is convenient but it comes at a cost. If you want to save some money, teach your self how to trade and do it yourself. If you feel lazy or want to do the trade so quickly, go for services like coinswitch but it will be at a cost.
4823  Other / Meta / Re: Bumping changes on some boards on: September 29, 2019, 10:38:33 AM
It's not easy to prove that the user has been paid for bumping. The user can claim that he is interested in the topic very much and has the right to bump any topic.
Also, if someone is really interested in a topic might not bump that regularly to not be accused.
It will be same as merit system, It is not easy to prove that a post has been really helpful to someone or there is another reason behind that.
If you have seen paid bumping services before, then you will agree with me that it's actually so easy to spot them once you come across any in a thread.
Their posting style with different accounts is simillar and the accounts tend to be activate and inactive at specific times.
The accounts also usually comment on only specific threads
4824  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: ZBTCEX and ABEX are SCAM Exchanges. Stay Away. on: September 29, 2019, 10:30:25 AM
Wow these are some rare shit exchanges. Never had of them before.  How did you come across them?

Do they have any profiles or associated are around the forum? we could tag and flag them.
4825  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the name of this laptop part? on: September 29, 2019, 10:00:16 AM
The guy who is supposed to do the repairs told me I need two parts. The entire front panel that I believe is called a Palm Rest and the bottom panel which should be the Bottom Case.

Are those the proper names of the parts?

If the damage is only on the casing then i believe you are right about the parts you are looking for.

The names vary from;
- Bottom case cover
- Bottom housing
- Bottom base
- Bottom base case
- Bottom panel... for the bottom case

And;
- Palm rest top case
- Palm rest keyboard bezel
- Top cover housing etc.. for the top part depending on which where you are looking the parts up.

4827  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another Private Message in Telegram! on: September 28, 2019, 10:13:01 PM
Random people who usually send you unsolicited messages on telegram pretending to be offering something are usually scammers.
Just ask your self this question,  how did this person know that you actively do cryptos?

Just bock them at all costs.
4828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 28, 2019, 10:07:41 PM
Now Real Sociedad has the chance to move to first place of the table however I don't think they can win the game which will be held in Sevilla's home.
Yes they can,  Sevilla no longer tgat strong team we saw the past couple of seasons. They sold off players who were the back bone of their attacks.
4829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 26, 2019, 08:29:08 AM
Nice 4th round matches! So many Premier League teams dropped out last night I feel a little less bad Spurs did not make it through hehe.

But I would bet on Arsenal on this next 4th round. Last night only 1 first choice guy played which is Naby Keita and he was just coming back from injury. All strikers who were regular were not even sitting on the bench. If they do the same, Arsenal will win.
Perhaps you could bet after seeing the Line ups. I don't think klopp is insensitive. He will definitely know that they are playing against Arsenal so a number of regular players will start.

Secondly, try having a look at Arsenal's record at Anfield. It should help to guide you Smiley
4830  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Confusing personal message on: September 26, 2019, 07:39:40 AM
Seems like scam to me. If they are really legit, then why don't the come out and make a decent ANN abut their exchange.

It's also an unsolicited PM and there for you can report it to the Moderator as spam. I believe the sole purpose of the person behind this is to spam people with messages about their shady exchange so if more people report him/her. It's just a matter of time before they get banned with their copper account.
4831  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stock Market vs Crypto Market on: September 26, 2019, 06:51:24 AM
I do lots of crypto day trading. If you are a day trader like me where you capitalize on daily fluctuations for profits then you can apply the same basics, nothing much different apart from the exchange platforms you use.

However, i believe crypto is very volatile compared to stocks. Whether you are trying to do short term or long term trading. Some assets not among the top assets( what we call shitcoins) can move from assets of value to assets of no value in a very short period of time.

The correlations between stock and crypto markets is not really there, if it is there then it is very negligible.
4832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019-20 EuroLeague Basketball on: September 25, 2019, 11:45:07 PM

Hmm.. only a few here follows EuroLeague basketball?

I thought any Basketball enthusiast or gamblers love to bet at any basketball games.

Or maybe somebody from the European region that has knowledge on that league should come here and start raising awareness.
It's something general. Football takes the most fans. Just like cricket or rugby. Not so many people follow such sports like they do follow football.
This translates to the low number of people who have interest in gambling on basketball games.

Another reason is that i think sports like Basketball do not have enough media coverage as compared to football. Imagine trying to watch a game and you don't even know any single player  Grin You would definitely lose interest in the sport.
4833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: September 25, 2019, 11:15:43 PM

(source)

Those last two matches...Oh boy  Shocked
Interesting Matches ahead. Can't wait for the fourth round to come buy. I think it's safe to say it's the end of road for Arsenal  Grin
Liverpool are probably going to enjoy playing against them at their home turf again.
4834  Economy / Reputation / Re: Hero Account seller on: September 25, 2019, 11:01:28 PM
Surprised how a hero member does not know the basics of the forum?  Huh Huh Even his account was created in 2016, which means that he knows some of updated rules.
I think it has been hacked but no details show a password changing.
The account may have been sold without changing the password.
In deed the account has some abnormal post gaps which could suggest that the account probably changed ownership. If not, the owner of the account probably does not know that account sales are no longer encouraged in the forum.

Based on the post history and the boards the owner frequently posted on, you could tell that the person could have not even been aware that other boards like Meta and Reputation exist here  Grin where he/she could have easily stumbled upon people talking about how account sales are not welcome here.
4835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest way to buy bitcoin in Malaysia on: September 25, 2019, 10:46:34 PM
You can buy Bitcoin online at one of the "cantors", I often use this one: buycoinnow.com and this is the best way of buying Bitcoin in my opinion. This whole process is very quick and simple so don't worry. You can pay with your credit or debit card.
Had never had of the site you have just reffered before... but if they are really legit then the price range/spread is way too big. Bitcoin right now is trading slight below $8500 but this chaps' website states 9K

I believe OP is looking for a much cheaper option too, that's why he/she is avoiding Remitano and Localbitcoins
4836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: September 24, 2019, 08:48:45 PM
It's looking all too good for Barcelona tonight, with 2 goals within 15 minutes.

And your Over 3.5 pick looks very likely to hit.
Looks like an Over of 3.5 is now far from reality. Barcelona played only in First half. As soon as Messi left, they also seemed to have stopped thinking about adding more goals  Cheesy

I liked the way Santi Carzola played and that goal he scored too, reminds me of his old days at Arsenal.

4837  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: was scamed by embroiderymate and angrybob for $10 on: September 24, 2019, 08:32:45 PM
Both flags supported. I guess OP learns a lesson on never to deal with untrustworthy individuals who have already been identified and negative tagged by some community members. Even if you send the 2 dollars, they will scam you.
4838  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet..Paypal..No Bank Account on: September 24, 2019, 08:02:00 PM
are you a criminal? because who doesn't have a real world bank account is because he has some serious problem with justice or with government and is prevented from having bank account. but I will not go into too much detail, I will follow this thread because I am very curious to know how it is possible for someone to have a solution to your dilemma " Wallet..Paypal..No Bank Account "
Not having a bank account does not mean that someone is a criminal. I personally have not had a bank account for almost a decade now and do not plan to have any Thanks to bitcoin and other few good alts.

It's because i hate the freaking banking system... Does that mean i am criminal too?
4839  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest way to buy bitcoin in Malaysia on: September 24, 2019, 05:30:45 AM
This link still has Luno in it but you can find more options
https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/malaysia/
Maybe the list is not updated as yet.

OP, have you tried checking out Bitcoin ATMs in Malaysia?

4840  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Biometric BTC wallet? on: September 23, 2019, 09:39:08 PM
Is there any biometric wallet (i am not talking about simple FaceID or TouchID login usage) for crypto wallets?

I have been looking but not found any good solutions.

Anyone?

Well to be on topic rather than discuss the advantages/disavantages of biometric over pin or password...

The wallets i have used so far that have the feature you are looking for;
- Coinomi Mobile uses Finger Print ID
- imToken 2.0 Mobile Version uses finger Print ID

Pin is usually the default option, you have to set up the Finger print ID after creating the wallet.
