I think i know this scam... It's an old scam trick. I think you should move this topic to the scam accusation board as it fits there better
It involves somethings like a deposit some BTC to withdraw the stated BTC from usually stupid exchanges right?

It also reminds me of the "Private key scam" when the scammer would pretend to be clueless and post a private key which has some useless tokens but no gas in it in a telegram group, then other thieves would try to send in Ether for gas to remove the tokens. But as soon as they would send in the gas, the scammer also immediately sends off the gas to his address 

In this case, a thief was being scammed.

Why the rush to announce something that is incomplete yet?
There is no need to rush IMO. It's not like a test or an assignment where you have to do something by a given time.
Take your time, make a complete set up of your project and then you can come and announce it.

I do day trading but I target small daily profits... 1-2% is enough for me so I don't really stress so much on getting a coin that will meet my daily target. I just pick a coin with a high trading volume, do a small TA on it to certain whether it's the safe time to buy, buy the coin and set a sell order on the target price all within 1 to 2 hours and then i call it a day

It's an old scam trick that has been going on for a while now. I have seen a couple of members talk about it but no one has actually made a proper report about it. I would recommend you to report on how it happened with the inclusion of screenshots of messages from the scammer.

Sometimes the scammer sends a random message to a member telling them to help him withdraw some money from an exchange with a promise of splitting the withdrawn money with the helper. Usually the amount to be withdrawn is usually large so it can tempt an unsuspecting member.
When the member tries to withdraw the funds, they are welcomed with a "Deposit 0.02 BTC to be able withdraw" kind of message

Whether downloading from playstore or not... I think the most important thing to first have in mind is to find out if the so called project is genuine or just scam. They could be fraudulent and still have "Official websites" or Playstore apps  Just like the above fake crypto wallet project OP just mentioned.

The starter of the thread was last online 9 years ago of which  he stopped even following the thread he had started after loosing hope. How are you really going to get to him or track him down?

As you might be aware, there are probably so many sell orders that will be triggered towards the 10k region. I expect a lot of resistance there before we can finally cross past 10k.

People are very gullible and too much greed even makes them more stupid. Imagine this fake wallet already has 10K+ downloads on playstore.
If you look at the reviews, most are posted on particular days and are 5 star fake reviews... the genuine ones are mostly random and 1 star

Someone could also decide to start a secret chat with you which is a feature which does not allow you to take screenshots of the chat logs between you and that individual.
So i think the best thing to do is if what you are about to communicate is very important then i guess much more official means like email could be the way to go.

I use Bituniverse and 3 commas(it's a trading bot but i don't use it, i just user the portfolio management section to see the gains i have made)

First before you get into serious trading you need to learn the basics and then technical analysis, Risk management etc. You also need to read about different experience from different people so that you can get a clear picture of what trading is all about. Youtube and pother online blogs are quite resourceful.

In trading, daily profit is not guaranteed. Sometimes you can get 10%. Other times you lose 20%. So you need to be psychologically prepared.
