5221  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin blockchain vs Privacy coins.. on: April 29, 2019, 10:55:56 PM
If you want to stay anonymous but still want to use Bitcoin, there so many good mixer services out there.
One of such services is the one I am wearing in my signature (Bitblender.io)

I think Satoshi's dream was to keep the Bitcoin Blockchain as transparent as possible such that scandalous things like money laundering, fraud and corruption and i believe it should remain that way.
5222  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-04-29] Institutional Love For Crypto Confirms Bitcoin Isn’t a Bubble on: April 29, 2019, 10:46:19 PM
Much of the institutions were living in denial back then but then bitcoin continued prove them wrong and what we see now is some of them coming out to show some love for BTC.
But i would really love it if the more and more common people got empowered to use bitcoin rather than these institutions.
What i think the institutions would try to do is try to create their own cryptocurrencies that they can control. I don't honestly see them adopting bitcoin.
5223  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [YOUR OPINION] How can $500 be used most effectively when it comes to marketing? on: April 29, 2019, 10:27:14 PM
Honestly signature campaign would be good for you but with that limited budget it means your project might a get very limited exposure over a short period.

Even add banners might be a little more expensive for you since the ad spots are usually taken up through auctioning where bidders can sometimes go as high as 0.1 BTC and that only for a week.

The choice  you have now is to first create a good ANN thread then maybe with time you can try to organize a signature campaign. One step at a time.
5224  Other / New forum software / Re: Is there a mobile friendly way to view the forums? on: April 29, 2019, 10:14:37 PM
Such a lovely person aren't you?

Why are you so against upgrading to a new version that will provide the very options someone is asking about? Even if you still decide to switch to different software in the future at least people get the options they want now rather than years down the line.
Yup, Lovely indeed  Wink
But i am trying to be realistic.

The decision to make a new forum software was made years old... Admittedly it has been a painfully slow process but your suggestion does not stand a chance right now especially since a lot of money was pumped into it.
It only now requires testing for bug.
5225  Other / New forum software / Re: Is there a mobile friendly way to view the forums? on: April 29, 2019, 10:05:32 PM
-snip-
Then create your own forum and upgrade it to whatever options you were suggesting.
It's quite simple, isn't it?

5229  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Exchange Graveyard - NEED HELP on: April 29, 2019, 09:23:58 PM
For historical purposes, that's a good list up there OP.  Grin
We have more that are yet to join the grave yard. 2018 and early this year was a time when so many scam exchanges opened up.
5230  Economy / Reputation / Re: The fake vouches are coming from alts [?] on: April 29, 2019, 09:07:21 PM
-snip-
Thanks for your effort, but what you have provided is not enough evidence to judge that all these accounts are an alt account accounts of @
Fellavin.
There is no other way of connecting them like transactions between addresses.
The pattern is the same as i pointed out.

The accounts have all replied in 2 similar threads, and one is in the Russian Board probably trying to vouch in a similar way. This proves that it's one person controlling the accounts

Check out this thread... you will find all the suspected accounts commented in it https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2810897.0
5231  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Promoting ponzi scam on the forum on: April 29, 2019, 07:16:06 PM
Moderators have already deleted this users post and its a proper action for this kind of unrealistic ponzi scam promoter.
Yeah, Ponzi scammer was nuked. Which is one of the most awesome bits IMO  Wink

If still they found any investors on their project then they are really lucky In my opinion.
You will be surprised. There are lots of naive and money greedy people out there  Grin
They accept anything which is very "profitable" and can make them earn while sleeping.
5232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are we not pushing online merchant and services harder for Bitcoin adoption? on: April 29, 2019, 07:01:32 PM
I think the major hurdles are
- Very high volatilty. Most businesses do not want to fall into a trap of making losses once the price deeps in  no time
- Public is less senstised about the blockchain technology and bitcoin. Very few people now even just the basics about bitcoin.
Other technical aspects like setting up bitcoin wallets, making transactions etc keep the general population less interested in BTC
5233  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: lootbits.io is a scam or not on: April 29, 2019, 06:27:26 PM
I think you should avoid it. Better to be safe than sorry.

Look at their terms of service.

5234  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Future of Trading, losers and winners. on: April 29, 2019, 05:59:48 PM
What will happen if everyone in trading will know all how it works? Like if everyone will become a well-knowledge trader, for example, we will know all how to use different indicators, supports, and resistance, etc. ?  Undecided

Will some people still lose their trade? Who will become loser on every trade if that will happen? It will still profitable to trade?

Yes some people will still lose out in trades.
Perfect example is stock and forex trading, They have been here for a while before crypto trading but i can bet you over 80% of the world populations knows nothing about stock or forex trading.

New people will always come in no matter what. It's like an endless loop
5235  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Check if an ETH address was involved in Scamming/Phishing on: April 29, 2019, 05:29:12 PM
Bitcoin website seems dead? - DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN -

It seems like an interesting concept, apart from the fact that scammers can easily create a new adress.. how easily abusable are these sites? On the ethereum one it looks like you can just report any adress you want? Or, do they like.. review it? That seems like a hassle for something a scammer can so easily loop around...

Otherwise, that's bound to get some false-positives...?

Seems to be loading well on my side... probably a problem with internet connectivity.

You are right about the reviews being subject to abuse. At the end of the day, it's upto the user being extra vigilant and extra careful about their security and which address they are sending money to.

5237  Other / Meta / Re: Why I was perma-ban? Spam or plagiarism? Hell no! on: April 29, 2019, 04:47:34 PM
When was the report? Any proof for the date?
The fact that you plagiarized has already been proved to you, so why do you need a date?
Date of the report does not matter now.

Is it that an odd to use something that was made 2017 against me now? I know I made some mistakes way back but it's unfair to use that now after almost 2 years. why now?
Because, you committed a crime period. Crime never dies. I does not matter which year you get caught.

Isn't that a blackmail?
Do you even know what blackmail is?

"Blackmail is an act of coercion using the threat of revealing or publicizing either substantially true or false, and often damaging, information about a person, to the public, family members, or associates unless certain demands are met. It may involve using threats of physical, mental or emotional harm, or of criminal prosecution, against the victim or someone close to the victim"

5238  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ADX & DI- very powerful method I use to identify correctly BTC's bottom in Dec!! on: April 29, 2019, 04:17:35 PM
Thanks,

Much appreciated!

I think I can already post pictures, but they have to be in links or something? Can they be uploaded direct if I'm a slightly higher grade member?
Posting pics was disabled for Newbie ranks but now as a Jr member, you can post them.
All you have to do is upload a picture you want to post here on an image hosting website like imgurl and then you post the link here

For example
I uploaded a screenshot to imgurl and go the image like from the website as: https://i.imgur.com/2w0DweF.png

To post it on the forum and make it visible, i have to insert image tag with the link, so the code will look like this

Code:
[img]https://i.imgur.com/2w0DweF.png[/img]

Done!  Wink

Unfortunately this is how most forums work as they do not host images, so you have to use links.
5239  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 96coin probably is a scam coin. on: April 29, 2019, 03:53:51 PM
I am damn sure all the so called projects/tokens involved in the so called THE PINNACLE HOLDINGS GROUP
are all scams
1. PINNACLE TOKEN (PINN)
2. MINING PARTNERS TOKEN (MPT)
3. EQUITY REI TOKEN (E-REIT)
4. PINECOIN (PINE)
5. PROOF OF STAKE POOLS (POSP)

More ANNs
- Pinecoin - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5102195
- ASAFE3 Token- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3075546
- Pinnacle Token - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2542536
ALL announced by the same scammer

ICOEthics spotted this very scammer back in Jan/Feb and asked him a couple of questions which he never responded to.
The website is online...

Good that you made your website available again. Investors now can see there is no team or whitepaper, and you failed to provide a simple answer when asked about them.

Also, the other projects listed on your website doesn't have a team or a whitepaper. So, we all know what to do about projects like that.

5240  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (Beware) on Fake Screenshot Details on: April 29, 2019, 03:29:00 PM
Well, there are 2 ways to edit this things, the first one is to take the screenshot and then with an image edition program we can change the number and the words, but the second option is to open the web console, the select the item we want to change and then select the item and change the value.  After that, we can take the screenshot with the new value.

And getting back to the topic, i don't really see the risk about this, because no one believes in a screenshot nowadays. But thanks for the warning.
The first way is quite easy to detect even using online photoshop detection tools but HTML editing can be believable especially to a newbie.

People who are not so technically gifted or newbies can easily be fooled and possibly tricked into joining scams
