5401  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trading Bot - Malware on: April 08, 2019, 07:18:19 PM
The user even woke up after along period of inactivity

Can we have atleast one DT member look into this and tag the culprit before the damage is done?  Wink
5402  Economy / Services / Re: Mystery box on: April 08, 2019, 06:50:16 PM
If the items in boxes are valuable they why would you want to sell them cheaply?
If you are really genuine then what do you have to lose by proving that you are not trying to scam through a trusted escrow?

I doubt anyone sane would fall for this kind of thing... Atleast not today
5403  Economy / Services / Re: Trustdice.win - A Signature Campaign for you! $🚀$🚀$🚀$ on: April 08, 2019, 06:42:01 PM
You said maximum posts shouls be 20 per week
3 posts per thread maximum
up to 5 posts per week, max 20 post per week.

But 15 in gambling and 15 in bitcoin Discussion would mean someone has to make 30 posts to get both bonuses, how are you going to work this out?
Make 15 posts in the section Gambling and get a free .0005 BTC added to your total pay!
Make 15 posts in Bitcoin Discussion and get another free .0003 BTC!
5404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Easy strat trading in profit on: April 08, 2019, 08:57:04 AM
Damn it, thanks for sharing this and hopefully there is no one fall into this trap. If it is true that he is spreading malware through his trading software, I think you should bring this to some DT members so he will be tagged for spreading malware.
I made a post on the scam accusations board yesterday immediately i discovered the file contained malware but it seems DT members haven't looked into the post yet.
We can only wait to see what they can do.
5405  Other / Meta / Re: Change Name on: April 08, 2019, 08:19:39 AM
You cannot change your forum username. Feature was disabled. The best way is to create another account with your desired name.

But there is another way too... Only if you are welling to donate 50 BTC in the name of changing a username  Grin
Q: I want to change my forum username. What should I do?
A: You can either donate 50 BTC to become a VIP or PM theymos asking to change your username (although he rarely accepts such requests nowadays).
5406  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, please share the list of banned accounts for BPIP and LoyceV websites on: April 08, 2019, 12:18:14 AM
I don't think it makes sense to get such figures, especially for permanently banned users (that I guess what you wanted). They already got permanently bans, that mean they will never (almost never) get opportunities to see their permanently bans lifted.
The issue is not figures or getting bans lifted. The issue is about other users knowing whether the profile has been banned or not.
Imagine you wasting time reporting a profile for plagiarism yet it was autobanned 6 months ago... sucks, right?

It could also help with investigations for offenses such as ban evasion (BPIP.org has quite been resourceful for this)
5407  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How I got hacked by Electrum Official Wallet [0.10 BTC] on: April 07, 2019, 11:48:40 PM
This very sad. I am truly sorry for your loss especially at this time when everybody is getting prepared to ride the next bull run after a long time in the bear market.
Is there away of reporting this site so that It can be put down at least to avoid more victims from falling into the same trap?
5408  Economy / Reputation / Re: Reuben Godfrey on: April 07, 2019, 11:38:50 PM
Kepler is one of the shadiest projects born in the middle of 2017 bull run. What have they done to this date? I regret showing interest in their product. Hopefully, the next bull run won't invite people like this to make the same scam successful again.
I dunno how but i survived this particular project. i would have wasted my time and money on it.
As for the scammers, they will always come... Where there is easy money to grab, they can't miss out.
5409  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens if there is a bitcoin synchronization error? on: April 07, 2019, 11:28:22 PM
She has been scammed. Don't send anymore money to the scammer. Let it just be a lesson to you and her.
Someone contacted me a couple of days saying that he lost money in the same fashion. Apparently a third party created for him a wallet on blockchain.com and sent him the login details but the so called profit that was sent to him just disappeared.

Thou the person refused to disclose to me the "profit making" site or person. I think it may be the same scammer

More details about buying a copper member account here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=credit;promote

Edit:
You can just lock the thread. The option is at the bottom left of page.
5411  Other / Meta / Re: Excessively meriting a mediocre post - rules? on: April 07, 2019, 11:03:24 PM
-snip-
Looks like a very big ring of alts there. I hope most of the accounts that have proof of connection get red painted at least.
One stupid move of merit abuse is all it took to get this accounts exposed  Grin
5412  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Cryptonews Sources on: April 07, 2019, 10:42:49 PM
The websites i have commonly used are:

Some of sites have email subscription open where you can get daily or weekly email alerts about what's happening in crypto world while others like cointelegraph offer an option to subscribe to their telegram Channels for instant updates

I did share this sometime back on a certain thread, pick your poison,  hope it helps.

Also you might wanna look at this thread for other suggestions back then; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5083307

DO NOT DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THE FILE!!!

I repeat do not download and install the file, 25 Engines on virustotal have detected that it's a MALWARE

It's obviously intended to target traders who have some money to trade.
5415  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: See 10 Best Tips to Make the Most Money In Bitcoin Trading on: April 07, 2019, 10:01:20 PM
Use margin (responsibly):Many stock exchanges, including most of the stock exchanges listed in this guide, allow margin trading, which allows you to trade bitcoins with more money than you actually have. This means you can make money faster, but it also means you can lose money faster. Use this margin responsibly.
Not a good tip for a novice trader. i would prefer to first experience the ordinary type of trading before getting into margin trading

Use programmatic strategies - if you learn to code, you can open a whole new bitcoin exchange field. With some algorithms that negotiate over finite parameters, are here is a plethora of different opportunities for analysis and execution that are possible when it comes to programmatic trade.
No, thank you. I think manual trading is better. Here you manage to have control of your emotions and also act on your instincts.
Automating things makes one lazy too.
So how about those who don't know how to code? Do they have to splash money on every bot they come a cross?
5416  Other / Meta / Re: Security deposits for Bounty threads on: April 07, 2019, 09:39:58 PM
Based on what i saw in the past, Most of the ICO launchers barely have any funds to spend except a few bucks for hiring campaign managers, website creation and a few other things.
All the other hope lies in the hands of the investors/ token buyers. That's why you will rarely see them off bounty hunters BTC or any renown altcoin... All that is there to offer are their worthless tokens that are easy to create.
I like the idea, it can at least reduce on scammers but most of this ICO owners will have nothing to offer.
Probably they will just move to other forums or medium.
5417  Other / Meta / Re: 50 Merits for bounty threads. on: April 07, 2019, 09:28:08 PM
It’s more likely theymos will introduce a new rank than delete all Merit apart from Earned Merit.
Something like the following would be cool -

{New Rank}
Activity 2000+
Merit 2000+
This is cool but i think it could kind of be discouraging to new members unless merit circulation increases. Imagine joining as a newbie in this current situation where merit is hard to come by and you have to gather 2000+ merit to reach that rank  Shocked
Heck, i just have a little over 50 merits and i don't think i will even make it to 1000  Grin
5418  Other / Meta / Re: No 2FA here still? on: April 07, 2019, 09:19:42 PM
I have seen such suggestions from the time i have been in this forum. It's a very important security feature but I think it's been planned for the new forum software which is currently being tested by some users and not this one.
You may have to wait a little longer.
5419  Economy / Services / Re: Buying Souls 1 BTC each on: April 07, 2019, 09:02:59 PM
Buying souls, I don't care if you believe in souls or your not religious.  You will sign a paper with a statement agreeing to sell your soul to me for all of eternity.

1 btc per person, must have photo id and prove who you are.
Why not just take a full package?
I do have 2 very healthy fully functional kidneys too. Top up 1 more BTC and it's all yours  Grin
5420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN HIT 40 TX/s on: April 07, 2019, 08:54:57 PM
that site is a propaganda machine created against bitcoin to undermine bitcoin, nothing else. and that is why the value is so small. it was created to advertise bitcoin-cash, if you look at the BCash bus you can see it is constantly being filled with "passengers" which are transactions but if you look at its blocks on an explorer you can see there is barely any tx in any of them!
This could be the reason why. Thanks

I'm not sure where you get the 14 TX/s from btw? - https://www.blockchain.com/en/charts/transactions-per-second?timespan=1week shows ~3 per sec?
I got it from here https://www.blockchain.com/btc/unconfirmed-transactions
The value keeps changing since it's real time.
