5301  Other / Meta / Re: Why are links to posts that got a user autobanned not available in the modlog? on: April 21, 2019, 07:28:42 PM
My understanding that these user might get banned in Altcoins giveaway thread. Since giveaway is against the rule so thread is trashed and all the users who posted there get banned. (so you do not see the thread and users got banned.)

I get that, especially for deleted or trashed threads or Nuked users because all their posts get wiped out.
But I am talking about users who are banned mostly for plagiarism. AFAIK, their plagiarized posts don't get deleted for future reference in case of appeal but for some reason, any user checking the modlog can not get a link to the post that got the user banned(autobanned).
5302  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your stupidity is opportunity for scammers! on: April 21, 2019, 06:56:35 PM
Nice write up OP.  The biggest challenge is human nature's greatest weakness.
Too much greed for money. There have been attempts to sensitize people here and there and all over the internet but still people fall into the scammer's traps.

Personally, I have friends I have warned against getting into Ponzi schemes but funny thing is that they think I am are a hater and do not want them to progress in life and get rich. Some have even gone ahead and invested in such schemes and got their money burned. Guess who always has the last laugh.
5303  Economy / Reputation / Re: Selling Stackoverflow points is a crime here ? on: April 20, 2019, 08:01:16 PM
It's just like selling Facebook likes or reddit upvotes here.
I have seen such services being offered in the marketplace over and over again i haven't seen anyone get banned or tagged for it because it doesn't affect the forum members in any way so long as you don't scam anybody.
5304  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can yobit.net Signature Campaign Bring Bubbles? on: April 20, 2019, 07:27:46 PM
How does just a signature campaign from one exchange that isn't even that popular with so many shady activities in the past lead to a crypto bubble situation? Mind explaining more?

It isn't the first time Yobit has had a signature a campaign in this forum and I don't see it affecting the crypto market in any way. They are just making an aggressive campaign in the hope of promoting their upcoming IEO which they are trying to make successful. AFAIK, they have tried to do an ICO in the past but i think it really didn't get the hype they wanted.
5305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADEPRO IS COMING WITH SHADOW TRADING TOP TRADERS AND BOT RUNNERS on: April 20, 2019, 07:20:42 PM
So it is going to be a trading platform from where you trade on several other exchanges and will also feature copy-trading or social trading. That is very interesting indeed! Looking forward to see the full release!  Shocked
But these features that are getting you so excited have been in so many other trading bots before. I don't see anything new being offered here except repeating the same lines repeated by so many other announcers of other bots before

5307  Other / Meta / Why are links to posts that got a user autobanned not available in the modlog? on: April 20, 2019, 11:10:01 AM
I was looking at the Modlog and then I realized that you can know from which thread a particular user's reply was deleted from but when it comes to nuked and autobanned users, all one sees is N/A in topic #0 which links to no post.

In other words we cannot know what post got a particular user nuked or autobanned.
For Nuked users it's understandable because all their posts gets wiped out but is there any particular reason why we cannot get a possible link of the post that got a user autobanned probably for plagiarism or spamming through the Modlog?

I was thinking it would be much easier and transparent to know why one was banned without tedious effort of looking through one's post history.

Apologies in advance, in case this topic has been discussed before, I will lock this thread if am alerted. I just wasn't able to locate any recent thread about it.
5308  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mass Adoption Solution: combining education, gamification and rewards on: April 20, 2019, 10:40:09 AM
I like your post but i have an issue with the list you put up there. i think since the topic is major about "Bitcoin" mass adoption. Then it would be nice to see major bitcoin rewarding programs or probably just generalize the topic to "crypto mass adoption" so that the other altcoins fit in too.

Also, about airdrops, yes they used to be good but unfortunately they are not worth much now. Maybe airdrops from some already established projects but i don't remember on that has really helped to improve crypto mass adoption lately.
5309  Other / Meta / Re: Possible ? on: April 20, 2019, 10:06:40 AM
Just looking at the name from your ALT account shows what kind of person you are.
You don't deserve to be in this forum and i hope this account you posted through gets banned too for evasion of ban.

I never saw anyone unbanned after spamming. You should forget your old account & lock this topic.
I think they are usually given a chance of redemption with a few temporary bans but once they continue their habits and a permanent ban happens, there is no coming back
5310  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: @@Scammer Alert @@ MadmanAmazon @@ Scammer Alert @@ on: April 20, 2019, 09:54:37 AM
Thanks for taking your effort to alert the community but this particular user had already been red tagged before you dealt with him, How did you fall for the scammer's advert?
Possible scammer red flags
- Self moderated thread
- Deleted posts from users
- Locked threads.
- New account with no reputation or sometimes negative trusted.
5311  Other / Meta / Re: Posting pictures with out sourcing ..what’s okay and what isn’t? on: April 20, 2019, 08:54:58 AM
I know the forum is not quite strict on posting images without citing sources since many members usually re upload images to image hosting websites like imgurl and then share them here but I think it's better to avoid scenarios where you have to appeal again once banned

Prevention is better than cure.  Wink
5312  Other / Meta / Re: [Suggestion] Rules on Animated Images should be changed on: April 20, 2019, 08:42:44 AM
The forum you shared is strange, the new forum should be Epochtalk. Huh
I will discover that forum more later, not now. Maybe iasenko run that one as a test for Epochtalk, didn't he?

I found it myself that the test forum runs by another guy, not iasenko.
The New forum software is Epochtalk, The forum link shared by @Hugeblack is running on Epochtalk software and it was voluntarily created by a member for testing and discovering any bugs in Epochtalk.
Here is the annoucement the member made: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5115500.0

Otherwise, i would love the idea of less annoying animated avatar images too.
5313  Other / Meta / Re: Why am i banned ?! on: April 19, 2019, 12:26:58 PM
...don't care. simply move other forums, not retarded like this one
You are right, maybe you should move to other forums and leave this "retarded" forum alone. You don't deserve to be in it.
And please try to stick to your word too. Show that you actually don't care by not replying to this post and log out for good.
5314  Other / Meta / Re: My Account went from Junior to Newbie all by Itself on: April 19, 2019, 09:50:37 AM
Looks like you have been off for a while. Your account was demoted back to newbie level. You now need at least on merit to become a Jr Member.

5315  Economy / Services / Re: bustadice signature campaign(FULL) on: April 19, 2019, 09:45:01 AM
is there a open spot in the sheets from weeks are more ppl like in this week.
The answer is right under your Nose
1. The title of the campaign thread says "FULL"
2. The campaigner manager didn't announce any open slot in his last post in this thread
3. The Spreadsheet does not show anyone getting removed or any open slot for this week.

^ ^ Is this allow?
Bringing in Russian Language in a board which is specifically for Written English?

-snip-
Please keep the Russian language to your Local Board. Not everyone here knows Russian. At least try to translate to English before posting if you must reply the thread here.
5317  Other / Meta / Re: Is it possible to remove old animated avatars? on: April 19, 2019, 08:40:47 AM
Firstly, theymos clearly does not state that he will disable all animated avatars, especially avatars worn before the change. It means users who worn animated avatars before the change will be able to wear them as kind of glitch.
He did clearly state it and thanks to @nc50lc, he quoted the what he said. It's more like a grace period for those still wearing animated avatars they uploaded before the new implementation came into place.

Stake signature campaign don't have a public spreadsheet which is kind of weird but already accepted by many members that it is okay to maintain privately.
It's easy, just check out the signature campaign thread where members applied from. You will get everyone there.

5319  Other / Meta / Re: [TIPS] to avoid plagiarism on: April 19, 2019, 08:07:15 AM
Proper use of Forum Quote code and Proof reading what you are about to post is also very important especially if you quoted someone.
Sometimes one could just make a mistake that could cost one's account just because they did not properly quote and proofread what they had just replied.

Let me use @whotookmycrypto's post as a replying example.
I could try to quote his/her post, and then probably by mistake I misquote it, leaving some of his original text outside the quotes and making it look like mine and without proofreading I post the text thinking that everything is OK.

And to be doubly sure that you are posting original content or if you aren't sure about whether your post would constitute plagiarism, it helps to run them through plagiarism checkers (free):
1. Grammarly (https://www.grammarly.com/plagiarism-checker)
2. Small SEO tools (https://smallseotools.com/plagiarism-checker/)

They aren't 100% accurate so don't rely entirely on them. If you know you ripped something off, best to just quote the source rather than risk getting caught.

Another tool that is popular for checking plagiarism is called copyscape. However, it is a paid tool.

As you can see if someone sees my post, they could clearly think I did a copy and paste especially if our comments are from different posts or on different pages and this can easily earn me a permanent ban of which it is almost impossible to over turn.
