5161  Other / Meta / Re: Number of members by rank? on: May 06, 2019, 10:07:48 PM
Thanks a lot for the data and evaluations!
I am really surprised that there are so few active users overall. Quite interesting is that there is such a big difference between the number of Newbies and next level Junior. Also interesting is that the number of Junior Members is quite lower than the numbers of Members and Full Members. Does anyone have a plausible explanation for this Huh
Suchmoon, talked about it here and it makes sense
Pre-merit full members have airdropped merits and were able to keep their ranks while pre-merit juniors have been demoted to newbies.
5162  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING for SCAM with DigiFinex Exchange Listing requests !! on: May 06, 2019, 09:45:12 PM
Mate, you still haven't responded to me.
I am trying to understand the kind of the trick the scammer uses to scam people.

Now I see your agenda has changed and you are now just advertising your coin.
5163  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase lost/unlinked my bitcoin wallet? on: May 06, 2019, 09:25:16 PM
It's OK, you can either edit the topic if your problem is not yet been solved or you can just lock the topic.
The lock option is at the bottom left part of your page.
Cheers.
5164  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoinmixer.eu Legit? How do you get support? on: May 06, 2019, 09:10:07 PM
I give up...  I guess I need to learn a lot more about BTC before I do anything else.  $1,000 lost since April 16th is just too much for me.
Hey mate, that's really terrible it happened to you.
You need to open a scam accusation but looks like you are reluctant about it. You can just post in your payment details here like the Txid  and your email message screenshots and i help you open up a scam accusation so that more members won't fall in for the trap.

There are so many bitcoin mixer scam websites right now.
5165  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: hmmm, what started it on: May 06, 2019, 08:52:07 PM
I would be very interested to know how many people came from MMM, which at one point was dominating Bitcoin buying volumes in certain countries, and stuck around if they had a penny left after it. I also wonder how many people bought BTC intending to throw it into MMM and then clued up before parting with it and became real Bitcoiners. There must be quite a few.
I think there could be quite a number of them here. Most of these MLMs use bitcoin as a payment option because probably it would be hard for authorities to follow up when they decided to exit.

My friend isn't much of a person who likes crypto even upto now but his interest in MLMs forced him to know about BTC including how to make transactions and the wallets(coinbase in particular)
5166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to calculate bitcoin transaction size and fees on: May 06, 2019, 04:35:40 PM
There is one important thing you forgot to mention.

What matters for fees is not how many addresses you have, but how many inputs you have.
Thanks for the additional information.
I really had no idea that inputs can actually affect one's transaction fee.

Now back you your calculation @RapTarX
Code:
2*180 + 3*34 + 10 + or - 2 = 470/456 bytes.
we do see a +2 or -2 resulting into 470/456 bytes.

So which bytes do we consider? 470 or 456?
Or this is just a range where you can pick any value between 456 and 470 bytes and multiply with given rate which is currently 62sats/byte to get the total fees you have to pay?

Sorry for so many questions, I have been so reluctant in learning how to calculate these fees and this is an opportunity for me to know something  Wink
5167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to calculate bitcoin transaction size and fees on: May 06, 2019, 03:03:14 PM
I am a little confused on the output part.
Question is how do you come up with the output even before the transaction has been made since we are still trying to calculate the transaction fee?
5168  Other / Meta / Re: Number of members by rank? on: May 06, 2019, 02:30:06 PM
Really so surprised that the total number of full members and number of active full members is way more than the number of Jr members both in total and active.
I expected the Jr Members number to be at least closer to Newbie count since ranking up to the rank needs only just 1 Merit.
Pre-merit full members have airdropped merits and were able to keep their ranks while pre-merit juniors have been demoted to newbies.
Spot on, never really thought about it for a second.
It really depicts a clear picture of how the merit system stopped lower ranking spammers from ranking up back from the Newbie rank
5169  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [HELP]Exchange Listing! on: May 06, 2019, 02:15:43 PM
Good morning, we have a new capital to pack our criptomoeda, we would like new exchanges similar to the one we have already listed, ideas by the community and devs, thank you
Which one's have you already listed on?
Not everyone knows about your project here so it would be good to live some concise information.
5170  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You need to update your google chrome browser on: May 06, 2019, 01:52:26 PM
Bottom line, Always update the browsers you use very often. No app is 100% security proof. Always, the hackers somehow exploit a certain vulnerability.
A few days back, we had this too 4-May-2019 FireFox USERS READ THIS

This info is out of date. The latest version of Chrome is 74. Any people who've updated to the latest version should not be exposed to the risk.

Why did OP share an out of date info btw?
To get some merit, perhaps?
5171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: scam allert for zeroeclipse.com/ on: May 06, 2019, 01:34:03 PM
Judging from the domain information the person before me posted and how long you said the developer has been away, It was an obvious exit scam.
Just because the idea seems great one paper and the website looks cool and flashy does not always mean that the project is legit. Scammers are becoming smart, we must be a step ahead.
5172  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Exchange Coinbene - be careful on: May 06, 2019, 01:24:09 PM
Quoting for visibility.
today either, the exchange is silent

lets see this

and you can follow their telegram channel, there're many people who complain that they can not withdrawal funds

From my own conclusion, I think we should as much as possible avoid such unpopular exchanges especially after they have been hacked. Who knows that they could be trying to recover money from the losses as a result of the past hacks.
5173  Economy / Reputation / Re: calling out Thule on: May 06, 2019, 01:17:49 PM
The clown fucker is now threatening "2 DT members" (guess who LOL) with doxing if they don't remove red trust.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5139852
I really wonder how this Thule chap looks like in real life or how old he is.
We could be wasting time with 16 year old  Grin
5174  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos is it true that you forced OG to remove Laudas tagg ? on: May 06, 2019, 01:08:06 PM
Some DT members claim you forced OG to remove Laudas negative tag or he would get blacklisted.
Making such statements is the reason why you are always getting a backlash from members.
Zero evidence and zero reference links and yet you rushed in to open a thread about some serious matter. People eventually start to think that everything you say is a very big joke.

So funny but it was a ponzi scheme that a friend had joined  Grin
He was trying to convince me to join and told me that they were paid in bitcoins. I luckily never joined the ponzi scheme but i started searching more about bitcoin and then ended up in this forum.
From that day, my life changed as i soon discovered that bitcoins unique way of transactions would soon be useful to me
5177  Economy / Reputation / Re: How legit Negative trusted user is on DT! on: May 05, 2019, 10:18:31 PM
It's IconFirm, not ICOFirm btw - never done an ICO & never will....lol
My bad, sorry about unknowingly altering your username. Eyes can easily be deceived sometimes. ICOFirm doesn't even exist in the forum  Cheesy
5178  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING for SCAM with DigiFinex Exchange Listing requests !! on: May 05, 2019, 10:06:07 PM
Mate if I have followed your story correctly, I think you got scammed by a person claiming to be from digifinex.

I think someone used your project's email and set you a fake email asking you to pay so that you get listed.
I just checked digifinex, and they have a different procedure for listing coins

- Did you check here? https://www.digifinex.com/en-ww/listing#currency
If you did then you would have been able to download a listing form which has a very different email address from the ones you are talking about;

Also, I haven't seen anywhere where they say you contact @emyoung on telegram both on the website and form.

I am not sure why alcoholboy texted me to remove negative tag from account, as I can see account alcoholboy is not tagged (yet)  Grin
Lol, alcoholboy must be really so drunk to distinguish between his alts right now  Grin
5180  Economy / Reputation / Re: How legit Negative trusted user is on DT! on: May 05, 2019, 09:31:22 PM
From what observed:
- 2double0 made a complaint of how his account has been unfairly negatively tagged perhaps for carrying a yobit signature in the past of which he was no longer carrying given that the campaign had been banned from the forum

- Some people noticed that ICOfirm's IconFirm's tag was cause but then the weird thing was that he was on DT, so Shasan opens up a thread questioning how legit is it that Negative trusted user is on DT
(Not gonna talk about the negative tag from doggie because i wasn't in the forum)

- This caused events that led to ICOFirm's IconFirm's removal from DT
- ICOFirms IconFirm sends Sashan a negative feedback probably because he got pissed due of the outcomes
- Sashan Obviously sends back feedback to ICOFirm IconFirm about how he acted.

Honestly, I never expected such a thing to happen at all. In fact i had even told 2double0 to send a PM to ICOFirm IconFirm to reconsider the feedback, and he says he had already PMed ICOFirm IconFirm

These clashes really do no good to the forum. We are all humans, we do get pissed sometimes off, and we are all prone to errors. Forgiving each other and starting over would be great since no one involved in the drama has scammed anyone(I think).
