5481  Economy / Reputation / Re: PLUGIAT ON CREATING SIGNATURES on: March 25, 2019, 09:06:22 PM
I don't know much about how they create these signature codes but I don't think there is any penalty that could be handed out to the culprit esp if he changed the wording in the signature.
Take it like this,
If let's say  LoyceV created a post sometime back that had a very good table format and I decided to copy the BB code and just change the wording in the table. I don't think it would earn me any punishment but of course it's a bad practice.
5482  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Do you think wallets will require KYC in the future? on: March 25, 2019, 08:42:46 PM
I've never used it, but I'm pretty sure Coinbase already requires KYC to use their wallet, especially with their ridiculous Cloud backup service?
Yeah, it isn't something really new.
I think the blockchain.com wallet too requires KYC. Recently I saw them luring people to verify their accounts with $25 Stellar airdrop.
Bottom line is that most of this so called wallets that control people's private keys are the ones enforcing KYC.

I would rather stick to the other traditional wallets such as electrum where I have the freedom of anonymity.

My only prayer is that major exchanges like Binance don't reduce their daily BTC withdrawal limit from 2 BTC per day for unverified accounts.
5483  Other / Off-topic / Re: The end of all ends on: March 25, 2019, 08:33:00 PM
I really love Bitcoin and the brains behind the whole idea of peer to peer transaction but as an open-minded person "Nothing lasts forever"
Just like any other innovation in the past, it could either be modified to fit its use in the future or It could totally be replaced with something people will think is better.
5484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 25, 2019, 08:23:50 PM
25 minutes gone, both England and Portugal are still trailing behind 1 goal to nil each, I think it could be very rewarding to place a live bet on either of them to win this fixture,

I'll be going for England to win now @ 2.22 odds
England Equalized through Micheal Keane a while back... so far so good for you.
However, it's not got for Portugal. Ronaldo has been replaced because of injury. Portugal is still trailing.
5485  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Merit giveaway for forum contributions! on: March 25, 2019, 08:14:25 PM
Sorry for intruding into your giveaway thread, but I would like to know if it's okay to post links to someone else's thread in case it matches the requirements.
Probably some members may not be aware that you are looking for their kind of content here in the beginners, and Help board.
5486  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exist any blockchain technology that fight the devaluation nature of crypto? on: March 25, 2019, 08:07:50 PM
I think there is no blockchain solution to devaluation.
Demand plays a major role to the value of a coin/token. Without demand however go the coin maybe, it will lose value.
As we have already seen many projects have tried very many ways to increase the value of their coins/tokens like
- Token burn
- Rewarding token holders
- Reduced token circulating suppy
- Token Buy back from circulating suppy

But none has worked in fighting devaluation effectively to this date if the token/coin demand falls.
5487  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Importance of Keeping Track of Your Cryptocurrency on: March 25, 2019, 02:13:53 PM
Another crypto portfolio tracking app I have used for a while now is BitUniverse.
You should probably add it on the list too. It's awesome.
5488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Africa buy and sell of Crypto on the increase? on: March 24, 2019, 10:44:19 PM
Yes, a lot of countries adopting crypto and used blockchain technology and knowing Africa's financial capabilities of their people it may a hindrance to adopt the system. In some cases that their people won't be able to take part of this cause they'll be not their priority. Though they'll have desired to invest in crypto but they have that lack of financial support and also lack of knowledge.
One does not need financial support to join the crypto movement. All one has to do is start using cryptocurrencies for services and stop over relaying on fiat.
For example one can open a restaurant to accepts cryptocurrencies as payment too. When customers come, they pay you in cryptos too.

But the major challenge is sensitizing people in remote areas about how the blockchain and cryptocurrencies work. I still feel the whole idea is very technical for a layman to understand and use.
5489  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-24]Bank of Italy Calls Bitcoin Useless, Risky and Inefficient on: March 24, 2019, 10:35:37 PM
Many criminals have taken advantage of cryptos to run their illegal activities such as funding terrorism such as al-Qaeda, money laundering, supporting prostitution, drugs, sex etc.
Beats my understanding why cryptocurrencies are now being blamed for illegal activities.
Terrorism such as Al-Qaeda has existed long before cryptos even came to the scene
Prostitution, Sex, Drugs have been there for centuries... Heck! Wasn't Pablo Escobar receiving the so called clean US Dollars during the time of rampant drug trafficking to the US in the 1980s?

I find these allegations just a way of trying to blind the public from adoption cryptocurrencies.
5490  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BINCOINS - FAKE MEMBER on: March 24, 2019, 10:27:06 PM
And now there is an attempt to bump the scam thread with probably a scammer bumping service.

5493  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New launchpads following the success of Binance on: March 24, 2019, 10:01:46 PM
The good thing for this ICOs which are being launched on Binance is that investors are sure to gain profit from their investments after being listed on exchange. For the 3 projects that launched on Binance, all have not yet hit below ICO price as of this writing. The downside IMO is that people who bought the coin/token on the exchange were the ones who suffered the loses.
Really?
It's Just a trend. Just like we saw with airdropped tokens and ICO tokens where holders made lots of money through trading off to other buyer in exchanges before the hype died down.
Wait when traders realize and stop buying those tokens from exchanges after the IEO has ended. That is when you will see the original investors holding bags and bags of tokens whose value will be dropping daily because people are not interested in the over hyped tokens anymore.
5494  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Africa buy and sell of Crypto on the increase? on: March 24, 2019, 09:55:06 PM
The focus shouldn't be only on Africa.
How about South America? In Countries like Cambodia, Panama? I think we need all of them to get aboard
We have lots of countries in Asia and even some parts of Europe where using crypto is still a dream to come true.
5495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 24, 2019, 09:47:23 PM
Looks like german backers are happy today with nico shulz scoring for germany at the 90th minute of the match to end it.
Didnt think they would win cause I bet on them in their last match to score to take them out of the draw but they couldnt do it with over 20 minutes of play left in the game.
What an epic way to finish the match  Grin
Nico Schulz had a brilliant match, The first half long pass from the back to Serge Gnabry in which he eventually scored can't go unnoticed too.
5496  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cheated in bounty. on: March 24, 2019, 09:40:21 PM
Hope any DT will take a deep look on this issue and will take the necessary step.

Thank you.
The accounts involved have already been tagged by @marlboroza

You can also help into looking for more connected accounts and bring to the attention of DT members so long as there is sufficient evidence connecting them. It's a community thing and it doesn't mean only DT members can do it because they are paid nothing to look for the accounts. They just volunteer.
5497  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 2019 ICO: Frequent Marketing/Communication Deficiencies - A good illustration on: March 24, 2019, 09:35:28 PM
It this okay.
It's just an Open scam accusation meaning it can be resolved or better still i think the investigation board could work in this case though i think not so many people visit that board so if it was me, i would just leave it here.
5498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Patience is the main key of success on trading platform. on: March 24, 2019, 09:28:14 PM
True but sometimes it depends on your goal too.
You must know when to exit. You must know how much profit you want to make before exiting.
Sometimes you may become over patient and in the end the price corrects and you see at a much lower price than even 400 sats
So
- Timing
- Profit goal
- Patience
All work together.
5499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't fall for the pump, Bitcoin won't stay pass 4k nor does it deserve to. on: March 24, 2019, 09:22:12 PM
Who are you to say BTC won't go past 4K?
When making such allegations, you must have concrete proof and analysis not just posting for the sake.
I bet you will be like are one of those chaps who thought that BTC wouldn't go even past 6K in the beginning of the 2017 bull run
5500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Qualifying on: March 24, 2019, 08:57:41 PM
Netherlands pull one back through Matthijs De Ligt Assisted Memphis Depay. Can Germany hold on, or they will blow a 2 First half goal lead like they did against the dutch back in November last year when they let in 2 late second half goals?

I decided to go with both to score for Netherlands-Germany game. It started lively enough from German side. Should be easy money but you never know.
Congrats @Trofo for that sharp 6th sense  Smiley
Now you can sleep in Peace.
