5261  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer -> Millinillion u=1301312 tried to steal $150! HOW TO SPOT A SCAMMER on: April 27, 2019, 07:22:38 PM
Here's to show that I actually opened up the escrow on Telegram: Douglass is the Millinillion user.

Quoting for visibility.

Yep, always use a trusted escrow if you are going to make a transaction deal.

How did you get him thou?
Was it only through telegram or this forum?
If the user is in this forum, can you please avail his profile link.
5262  Other / Meta / Re: Are users abusing the merit source application on: April 27, 2019, 12:17:52 PM
I don't open the threads.

We have to have a topic of the moment. So far we have had -

Sig spamming
Merit
Trust
Reputation
and now we have Merit source applications.

does anyone want to run a book on the next topic?
You forgot to include Merit giveaway topics that have been there lately...
It's just a new indirect way of collecting merit from other forum members and supporters.
5263  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitfinex and Tether sued for alleged fraud! on: April 26, 2019, 09:29:04 PM
Shasan, I think this fits well int he Press board if you follow the right reporting format or even other boards like Trading discussion because I don't think it's a scam accusation.
5264  Other / Meta / Re: [APPLICATION] cabalism13 as Merit Source on: April 26, 2019, 08:01:29 PM
You got my support,
I think we need an even merit source distribution through all boards though I doubt Theymos is willing add any more merit sources any time soon.
I watched you start off in the forum and look where you are.
Good luck with your application.
5265  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Ebcoin - FAKE TEAM - SCAM on: April 26, 2019, 07:30:06 PM
Dear Brother,
Have you ever seen that EBCoin scammed any person? Is anybody claim that EBCoin scam?
No. No one claim EBCoin scam. That website was the first website of EBCoin project and when an script setup on a website there are many sample picture and photo appears. so that didn't meant that a project is scam. EBCoin new website is https://www.ebcoin.co.uk and EBCoin is a UK registered Company. and EBCOin didn't offer any ICO, Pre-ICO, Pre-Sale etc. so how EBCoin be scam?

Please join EBCoin and take a look their projects and work with EB and help them to grow in market

Thanks
Very funny that you called the sample pictures and photos your perfect team

And here you are claiming you are not scammers. Do you think we are stupid?
We are getting tired of this usual excuse from scammers.
5266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best thing about crypto - many opportunities on: April 26, 2019, 02:40:25 PM
I think collecting even $1K worth of value through airdrops and bounties in 2018 was so hard unless you were so lucky or hard a couple of accounts in different bounties.
Personally my break through was 2017. Made tones of money from projects that were very generous with their bounties like Pundix and Datum, before Ether started to crash the next year after an all time high. It was crazy  Grin

ICOs were doing so well and I would jump from one ICO to the next. Buying and selling as soon as they get listed on exchanges. What I am really grateful about was that once I realized that a bear market was starting off, I liquidated most of my digital assets for fiat and stablecoins so despite the over year long bear market, what i had gained was an over achievement.

One thing I realized about crypto and business world is that you have to adapt and change strategies in order to survive in this game. Think quick and your decisions have to be swift enough without many emotions.
During the bear market, i have learned to trade and also a few more things about bitcoin and other interesting blockchain startups

Trading is now solely my source of profits when it comes to crypto. I no longer want anything to do with airdrops or bounties(at least It has been so for over a year now)

Other benefits of crypto are;
- You can get hired for something you have passion for e.g graphics designing, blog writing and also a position for other start-ups without even having much academic docs to present.
-  I have never paid a signal tax from my crypto earnings and i hope it remains so. I have always hated the fact of having to pay my tax only for some corrupt top government official to enjoy it
- It sort of connects us allover the world, even thou we are anonymous, we can carry out business without having to worry about authorities breathing down your neck for our pennies.
5267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: difference of bitcoin and bitcoin cash on: April 26, 2019, 07:34:26 AM
People on this forum will shill bitcoin over bitcoin cash,

It's Bitcointalk forum not "Bitcoincashtalk" Forum, wanna get a place where you can shill bitcoincash uncontrollably? Create it.

Quote
at the end of the day people are just going to shill whatever they are holding and everything they don't have is a scam to them.
Who cares about shitcoins that will die out with time.
They only survive on hype, once the hype dies down, People will forget about them... Bitcoin on the contrary, has stood the test of time
5268  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: difference of bitcoin and bitcoin cash on: April 25, 2019, 05:57:57 PM
Avoid that site Bitcoin.com at all costs.
The real bitcoin is simply "Bitcoin" not bitcoin cash or bitcoin diamond or bitcoin blue...

5269  Economy / Services / Re: BITCLOAK BITCOIN MIXER [SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN] [OPEN][Merit ++] on: April 25, 2019, 03:56:10 PM
The manager has not yet announce an opening, kindly wait for the announcement before your submission thanks for your interest.
It's Open and it has been that way from day one because the slots have never been filled up to date, check the title.
You can also check the spreadsheet, very many open slots esp for member and full member position.

However, I am not sure why CM takes longs to accept participants... probably because he already saw them but they don't qualify.
5270  Other / Off-topic / Re: Virustotal shows threat in Github App for Windows! on: April 24, 2019, 10:34:53 PM
It's most likely a false positive. Just give it time.
It sometimes happens with even trusted official apps like Electrum.
5271  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] YOLOdice.com Signature Campaign on: April 24, 2019, 01:48:57 PM
Hello,
May i join the campaign?

Hello!
Do you have free places for Sr. Meber?

You folks have been in the forum for a while now... at least according to your dates of registration, that's about 2+ years now.
You should by now know that;
- CFNP means Closed For New Participants
- Applications for new slots only usually happens when the campaign manager announces an open slot after making payment for the previous week
- There is always a spreadsheet in the OP that you can check to see where any member has been kicked out of the campaign for a given week
5272  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how to recognise a phishing site on: April 24, 2019, 01:26:54 PM
1.  Visual inspection:
One of the commonest ways is looking at the domain itself, letter after letter to be sure that you are visiting the right domain. In this instance, you must know the official domain of the website you want to visit letter to letter

2. Check for domain age:
In most cases, phishing domains are usually newer compared to the Official domains except a few that are quite old. You can use different tools to such as
- https://www.netcraft.com/

3. Use Trusted anti phishing browser extensions
They may not be so perfect but together they can help you at times when you are the not so alert. they will warn you if you are about to visit a phishing website. Such extensions include
- Netcraft
- Cryptonite (metacert protocal)
- Ether Address Lookup (EAL)
- Metamask
5273  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't let the holiday catch you - if you are a day trader. on: April 23, 2019, 04:25:26 PM
Usually towards any given holiday especially long holidays, most people cash out (both those who are actually cashing out to spend and those that are anticipating a boring trading period)., this is the major reason for that

I personally have done this numerous times and even didn't it prior to Thursday last week(I cashed out and bought on Sunday) and i believe so many other day traders too do this kind of move.
5274  Economy / Reputation / Re: why the red mark? on: April 23, 2019, 04:18:57 PM
Why does the red mark remain?
When you have been arrested for committing a crime and taken to prison to serve a sentence and then later released after serving the sentence, do you think they will erase your past crime records?
No, the wont.

Take the feedback you have on your profile as a record of your past crimes such that new users know your history and whom exactly they are dealing with.
5275  Economy / Reputation / Re: Cabalism13's Reputation Thread on: April 23, 2019, 04:15:13 PM
Activities in altcoin are really at a low number compared to BTC/ETH Campaigns. Before I wake the account, is it really possible to do so? Though I'm only playing safe here for I don't to be accused for being a cheater in bounties.

Thank you in advance for your honest reply Smiley
To really be on the safe side, make sure both accounts are not participating in the same bounty campaign.
It will be very hard to prove that the other account belongs to your wife once you are tagged.
It's better to stay safe than sorry
5276  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I Got Scammed by the Exchange EZBTC.CA on: April 23, 2019, 01:07:17 PM
It's bad that you lost and amount of to such an exchange. I personally have never heard about it. This is the first time me knowing about it. Just wondering how you got to know about it. If you had done back ground search prior to sending money there, it would have been avoided.

In 2017, a certain user was concerned about the shadiness of the exchange. The address they claimed was theirs was false.

I tried to do some research but there are almost no reviews or comments about them. I also searched their address to try and find their office but it seems suspicious, all it finds is a furniture company at that address.

I know for a fact that Google Maps is very accurate because I can see my backyard and front door with it.

The profile of the so called exchange here in the forum was last online in may 2017.

The Ann for their service is even more unprofessional and silly  Cheesy
Once you see it, you definitely know that the exchange is more than fishy.

5277  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips for a Secured Net Surfing and Hacking Prevention (Guide) on: April 23, 2019, 12:20:52 PM
Of course HTTPS Everywhere won't help one if they visit a phishing website and lately most phishing websites run using secure certificates but in instances when one visits a website that is not secure. HTTPS everywhere will try to avoid a scenario where a user's unencrypted data gets leaked in case there is a security attack on the website at a given time due to the weak security protocol on the website.

It's never a guard against phishing.
5278  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is cobinhood a real no fee excahnge? on: April 23, 2019, 12:08:45 PM
How exchange like cobinhood earns if there is no fee there?
1. Listing fees
2. Withdrawal fees
3. Team holds a certain number of COB tokens which they will be selling periodically( please note that they don't burn tokens like binance, they own them then they gradually release them into the circulating supply through selling them.
4. It's both ICO funded and Venture capital funded on the equity side.

Check out more details in this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/cobinhood/comments/7nlmnz/how_will_the_cobinhood_exchange_make_money/?depth=2

Not sure if this belongs to reputation board or Trading discussion/ Exchanges
5279  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting people over 1k merit on: April 22, 2019, 10:43:58 PM
i think this isn't fair at all so only old members will get merit points and new members like me still with 0 points even i have 1000 good posts  Cry
Why is it not fair?
They are also human being like you. You should never be discouraged at all. The fact is you can also get merit if you start making good posts and help members. I just made my 101th Merit today, and I am now a full member. You can also make it from Zero.
