5041  Other / Meta / Re: Account Hacked carlfebz2 on: May 24, 2019, 07:03:12 AM
Just my typical habit when i do browse and make use of my PC.Im fully aware on how phishing and malware works so i would definitely say that i wont be easily victimized with that.
This is also a question on my mind on how in the world someone knows my 16 digit alphanumeric password.?
There are so many ways a hacker can get your password so you have to do a background check to a certain what when wrong.
It could be through
- Use of same login details on different websites, this includes logging in unsecured websites with the same login details, so they easily get leaked to possible hackers
- Infected browser/malicious web extensions
- Malicious software in your PC

Just make sure you use your original email to message the team, a staked address is desirable but you can still get your account recovered without it if the team find enough evidence such as change of IP logs after hack.
5042  Other / Meta / Re: sardasa account hacked yesterday on: May 24, 2019, 06:53:45 AM
Make sure you send the account's recovery team a message from the account's original email address as you follow the procedure. Account recovery could even get completed after seven days once the process has started.

Sorry OP but seriously how do you trust a newbie whose account was created 6 days ago and is advertising on a thread that is self moderated and already has two posts deleted?
It's very clear that he is a scammer and is not to be trusted. Members have always been warned here to at least use a trusted escrow when dealing with such transactions between untrustworthy persons

5044  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful from ponzi scheme "ETHONLINE" on: May 23, 2019, 10:12:56 AM
Much as some people have been scammed,  I don't think the transactions are that big. What we are seeing are  just fake transactions pulled off from the Ethereum live transaction data. They just pull transactions that are sending a given amount of ETH and publish it on their web page to make it look like they are actually paying.

For example i just picked up one of the transactions IDs they claim is a payment(some many i have checked if not all are fake) https://etherscan.io/tx/0x0653392053da0d99feda7e54ce0e1d5201f38fd1401302a51d860f223cd3c3b1

And guess where the ETH is being sent to?
To an IDEX contact address  Grin Grin

Seriously, why would someone send a payment ETH to an IDEX contract address and how would they do it without having full access to ETH Online main wallet's private keys

Also, ETHOnline website is a direct copy paste of BTCOnline which is also a ponzi scheme deploying the same tricks. I guess it's the same scammer operating all of them

Code:
https://btconline.io

They even have the same addresses which are even fake

5045  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestMixer Signature Campaign | Sr. Members - Legendary | Up to 0.01225BTC on: May 22, 2019, 09:25:36 PM

It is a pity - I thought that the 12 weeks you mentioned would be guaranteed - unfortunately not everyone cares about their declarations.
@Hhampuz know that despite this situation, I think you are one of the best managers in this forum and I will be happy to join the next campaign conducted by you.

I am pretty sure you would have done the 12 weeks and even more(They seemed to be making a tone of BTC through the mixing service) if it wasn't for the unfortunate incident.
Hhampuz always tries to keep his word about the campaigns he manages, and he has taken Quality signature campaigns in this forum to a whole new level.
5046  Other / Meta / Re: [HACKED] Request to delete my Bitcointalk account on: May 22, 2019, 09:11:14 PM
I haven't seen any option where it's possible to get the account deleted in this forum.
If i were you, i would just regain control of the account, change credentials to both a new private email no one knows and password, and I am good to go.
Then I would get time and delete all the garbage posts made by the hacker.... Problem solved.
5047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do bounty participants enjoy longer or shorter campaigns? on: May 22, 2019, 08:58:20 PM
It really depends.
People actually prefer a campaign stays longer if;
- The coins being paid have value e.g BTC,ETH and not just some tokens that are not yet even on exchanges
- Payment is done weekly
- The Campaign manager is good and reputable like @Hhampuz
- The funds for the campaign are held in an escrow

Members prefer the campaign takes a shorter time if;
- Funds are not in escrow
- payment is done at the end of the campaign.
- Payment is made in tokens that have not even started trading
5048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops on: May 20, 2019, 10:05:56 PM
ERC20 is ethereum wallet.
Wrong

ERC20 is a protocol standard that defines certain rules and standards for issuing tokens on Ethereum’s network.
In ‘ERC20’, ERC stands for Ethereum Request For Comments and 20 stands for a unique ID number to distinguish this standard from others.
Similar to the fact that we have an HTTP protocol for internet, we have a standard protocol for tokens to be issued on Ethereum i.e. ERC20.

To put it in layman terms, if you include certain functions in the token’s smart contract, you are ERC20 compliant. If you don’t include the mandatory functions, you are not ERC20.

https://coinsutra.com/what-is-erc20-token/

you can resive ethereum on erc20 wallet, but all ethereum wallet isnot compatible for tokens.
They are not ERC20 wallets. They are called Ethereum wallets or Ether addresses. ERC20 tokens just happen to be compatible with the Ether addresses because the tokens are built on the ethereum network.
So all Ethereum wallets and Addresses can receive and send ERC20 tokens.
5049  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scammed by Bitblender!? on: May 20, 2019, 09:33:22 PM
Btw is your problem OP got resolved already?
I am pretty sure OP's issue was even resolved that very day but even after rushing here to call a service scam just because what he expected wasn't met within one hour, he has not come out since then to at least clear the air and confirm that everything is now fine.

There where some issues today but they have been solved now, apologies for the delays.
5050  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Don't use web wallet on: May 20, 2019, 09:24:08 PM
Sorry about the ordeal OP.
Web wallets are not a thing for me. Anytime, anything could go wrong and you account could be locked up due to their stupid terms and conditions and you end up loosing your money.or this reason I avoid them at all costs and instead use the likes of Electrum, mycelium, coinomi etc

A few days back, i had this to say
As for coinbase and those other wallets you have to sign up for, I am personally not a fan of them as your private keys are held by third party services, implying that you don’t really have control of your Bitcoins/cryptos.
Sometimes they even force you to do KYC  in order to use their wallets so if you love being anonymous, I guess you have to stay away from them.
5051  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 24 word seed recovery question? on: May 20, 2019, 09:15:18 PM
The litecoin's private key or address is already part of the wallet that are generated under the 24 seed phrase. So no matter which device you import your wallet to using the 24 seed phrase, those specific private keys or wallets will always be the same.
So your Litecoin balance will always reflect in whichever device that seed phrase was imported to.
5052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops on: May 20, 2019, 09:05:45 PM
Ether address should be Okay. All ERC20 tokens are supported by the Ether address because the tokens are based on the ethereum blockchain anyway.
5053  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: QPAY - SCAM! FAKE Team on: May 20, 2019, 08:45:13 PM
Yes, both have the same CEO.
I mean yeh Qpay has a direct copy-paste of nDEX Network team
- Tanvir Rahaman - CEO & Founder
- Yeasin Hassan - Web Developer & Social media Manager
- Matthew Ian Haydon - CTO & Business Development Manager
- Mafroza Tania - Manager Public Relations

But when it comes to Quantum pay, they just have cartoons and different names on their team which of course to me would be scam too but how re they related to the QPay saga? Similarity of the names perhaps?

5054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: MORE TYPES OF BITCOIN SCAMS on: May 20, 2019, 07:03:01 PM
OP, your title is a bit misleading. I rushed in here thinking I was going to read about the different types of scam only to get "Guides to avoiding different bitcoin scams"
Maybe you should consider changing the title to a more fitting one

There are so man bitcoin/cryptocurrency scams that one can't even exhaust all of them. The most recent ones are.
- Fake wallets and exchanges that can steal your coins
- Advanced malware in form of apps and browser extensions that can steal your login detail or private keys.
-  FAKE bitcoin forks meant to steal one's coins etc
5055  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: New electrum version detected as Trojan by Bitdefender on: May 20, 2019, 06:54:09 PM
So long as the signed signature of your upgrade is verified then there's nothing to worry about.
It's nothing new with Electrum. There have been false positives in the past by different antivirus engines.
Keep your eyes peeled though  Grin
5056  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: One type of trading strategy on: May 20, 2019, 06:49:57 PM
I have never used the Elliott wave before maybe I will use it one time and write my experience about using it for TA.
Also I feel as thou it's more effective if one is using it more for BTC/USDT trade pairs rather than other altcoin trade pairs.

I majorly use MACD, RSI, 4 EMA and Bollinger bands when doing some TA. I just use TA as some sort of guidance and not fully rely on it and so far, things have been okay  Wink
5057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRADENANCE - PUBLIC REGISTRATION MAY 29TH 2019 on: May 20, 2019, 01:20:53 PM
You think we are just going to ignore the fact that you have listed just names and titles of your team?
- No team pics
- No team social media links

So why would one trust such a project/platform with their information if they can not freely provide theirs?
5058  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bad Services from Catex Exchange and BountyHive Member! on: May 20, 2019, 01:10:41 PM
Catex is 100% pre-mined, they sold pre-mined tokens on Catex Exchange at 80 satoshi. There is no volume, no buyers. We have warned many people about Catex in Turkish section.

BUT

Vipganyan could be innocent.

https://eksiup.com/images/30/61/vb12460y2wf9.png

He is to blame too. OP probably mistook him to be part of bountyhive, but he seems to be alone bounty manager who offers bounty services therefore was his responsibility to do due diligence before working with the said people.
We are talking about time wasted by so many bounty hunters here which can never be recovered and probably money wasted by traders top buy the shit tokens.

Even then when things went wrong and the so called cartex team was not delivering what they had promised, why didn't he just explain to the stakeholders on what happened and open a scam accusation thread for cartex?
Why did he just lock the bounty thread and go quiet?
5059  Economy / Reputation / Re: Time's up for DT members who left negative feedback for Thule on: May 20, 2019, 12:59:30 PM
How's that lawsuit coming, Thule?
Haha, Foxpup, Let the dead rest in peace lest we might end up resurrecting "a few ghosts of Thule"  Grin
5060  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Google suspends Huawei's Android support on: May 20, 2019, 12:25:03 PM
Why is it Ok when it's not even a secret that the US Government has been in bed with  Google, Microsoft, Intel and the Qualcomms for many years? Other nations don't even make a big deal out of it but just mere romours of China and Huawei end up causing quite a stir.

Very silly move IMO from both the Orange man and Google
