4881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Building a DApp is easy ? on: August 28, 2019, 09:01:22 PM
People who are still Opening up ICOs with Dapps/tokens created out of a thin air are probably late for the party now. Back in 2017... One had a chance of making hundreds of dollars with project that had not working product at all. Just a website, tokens and maybe whitepaper and you were go to go.
Newbies would spend recklessly on shitcoins but that's not the case any more... The 2018 bare market exposed how ugly shitcoins can be and most people are now a little bit more careful with money
4882  Economy / Gambling / Re: Powerball, Mega Millions at MatchBillion.com - Millions in Jackpot + 2 BTC on: August 28, 2019, 08:42:46 PM
They ran off a bounty https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5122209.0 So we can presume that they do able to get some investors somehow but eventually failed or die in the end.
Well, that is sad news. Because I will not able to receive my shares stake from the signature campaign in the bounty. Well, success or even failed they should pay their participants as what they had collected on selling tickets. But I still hope that they will be posted it here further announcement regarding this lottery gambling company.
You mean up to today you never received any rewards from the bounty?

That really sucks. This is why i hate bounty campaigns that pay weeks after sales. The use you to advertise their product for free with the promise of paying you their valueless tokens and then just disappear without paying anything eventually.

I mean what would they lose from sending the bounty hunters the tokens that have no value yet? The tokens are just created out of a thin air after all.
4883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 28, 2019, 08:29:07 PM
Anyway, next match against Burnley. Away match but I predict we are going to win by 2+ goals margin. To be precised I would say 3 -1 win for Liverpool.
I also feel it will be a 3-1 or 4-1. Burnley have some stubborn chap in the forward position who can provide them atleast a goal, Ashley Barnes, He has score 4 goals in the last 3 games and doesn't seem likely to stop soon. Liverpool Centre backs will have to be extra alert on him.

4886  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Safe and Secure is The Samsung KNOX to Protect Bitcoin Wallet? on: August 27, 2019, 11:43:17 PM
I just thought of something. I'm pretty sure if you root your phone, Knox gets disabled and you can't use the secure folder, samsung pay and all these protective features. So, what if you have a wallet and later decide to root your phone. Do you lose access to your wallet? Is it linked to your Samsung account, or is it all phone-based?
I think it depends one how one is going to disable Knox because there are around 3 ways but the secure folder has an option to backup your data and it's also linked to your samsung account(in case you forget your password and need to recover it)

Edit: This could help OP: https://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-secure-folder-908758/
4887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free Fixed Match - 200% Fixed, Maxbet - Insider info on: August 27, 2019, 11:42:00 PM
I totally agree with this, there were lots of people/tipsters saying in the past on giving out so-called fixed matches and majority of them
do ask out with some sub fee.

On this one and for those who do complain about this, just think up that this is just totally free and theres nothing being asked of so its not just right
to give out conclusions but somehow I agree that fixed matches information doesn't easily being publicized liked this one that's why its hard to believe.
Of course OP is not asking for money which is Okay.

I am just trying to point out my views from past experience

I saw this kind of thing too back then i think it was 2013-2015 when i was so much into gambling.

There was one particular page that would post tips... very accurate tips for free. This went on for some time and the page gathered over 100K fans and people started to totally believe the guy. Then he started advertising VIP tips. One of my friends sent money... but all the 3 tips he was given lost. He lost lots of money and that's when we started seeing the reality.

4888  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How Safe and Secure is The Samsung KNOX to Protect Bitcoin Wallet? on: August 27, 2019, 10:58:25 PM
Samsung Knox is actually a preinstalled security feature in samsung. I have never seen any complaints in regards to security but it gives trouble to people who want to root their samsung phones (which i believe you will never do) by preventing any rooting app/program from accessing certain files.
I personally remember having alot of trouble rooting my samsung phone a couple of years back.

"Knox is certified for use in government installations in the following countries: Finland, France, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Spain, The United Kingdom, and the United States. It's also FIPS 140-2 and ISCCC complaint in certain configurations. What this means is that organizations like the U.S. Dept. of Defense think Knox is safe enough for its employees (items with clearance levels of sensitive or lower) to use. That means it's also safe enough for you."

So i think that suggests that it secure.

The secure folder you see acts as a security layer with in your phone. So your phone is more like a 2 in 1. You can add the apps you feel like need a little more security into the folder and that secure folder should usually have it's independent password from the phone's main password.

You will have the some apps in the secure folder and others outside the folder but the data of the app inside the folder will be separate from that of the app outside in case you have copies on both sides.

In other words any app outside the secure folder cannot access the data of apps inside.

Maybe you can read through the android centra article to get more incite: https://www.androidcentral.com/what-samsung-knox

expect disturbances in all BitcoinTalks servers as a form of protest. They will taken down and DNS will be poisoned if the mess is not cleaned up on this forum Mr. Theymos my fellow scammer.

Ooh yeah, should be fun...  Stop moaning and start the protest already  Cheesy
4890  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam accusation against user humanrightsfoundation on: August 27, 2019, 10:05:48 PM
You did exactly what almost all the scammers do here... Hide behind a self moderated thread and delete any questions when asked about the legitimacy of your "charity organisation"
Did you expect people to blindly follow what you say and send donation without asking any questions?

And then to remove even the few doubts we had you went ahead and acted like an arrogant prick... again just like the sore scammers always do here.

Why should people trust you?
4891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2019/20 on: August 27, 2019, 04:56:33 PM
It is time for Suarez to leave barcelona.
Personally, I believe that before retiring he is going to join a Chinese club get some money and they stop football.
But I don't think that it will harm Barca. They are going to find another good striker.
Or go back to South America and retire from there. Most of the South American soccer stars have a tendency of going back home were it all started before completely retiring from football.

But it think if he left Barca, he could go to a few European leagues like Italy Seria A or French Ligue 1 before completely leaving Europe.
4892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Free Fixed Match - 200% Fixed, Maxbet - Insider info on: August 27, 2019, 04:52:39 PM
Isn't you that tried in another thread with fixed games but keep in mind that I think that they don't exist.Even if they did exist surely we cannot find them here in an open forum from a total stranger,it doesn't make a lot of sense for me.

Very true, They don't exist and if at all there any fixed matches. I don't think they would be released publicly because this would compromise everything.

This is for my personally experience... back in the day i and my friends would hunt for fixed. A couple of friends even lost lots of money to this lies. This fixed match chaps just rely on luck to predict and then they use those stats to lure in naive people to buy their tips.
4893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 27, 2019, 04:46:13 PM
I'm sure Sanchez will really move from MU, and MU will accept the joint option offered by Inter to pay Sanchez's salary. Sanchez is one of the best players so it would be a pity if he just sat on the bench.  Sanchez will have a positive impact on Inter game.
Yep, Inter Milan need someone to replace Perisic on the left wing. I think Sanchez will fit in there thou he likes to cut back in some times and also go deep in to the midfield to fetch the ball.
Inter Milan should be a perfect place to complete the rest of his career.
4894  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam accusation against user humanrightsfoundation on: August 27, 2019, 01:35:10 PM
We are not using anymore BitcoinTalk because there is no protection against false flags. All this users do is bully legitimate people who work on valuable and unique projects.
Bye... good luck scamming elsewhere.
A scammer a way each day keeps Bitcointalk clean and a much better forum compared to any other crypto forum around. You scammers are very toxic and always ruin everything you come across.
4895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Antiviruses on: August 27, 2019, 01:22:17 PM
@cryptojor

anti-virus is a pointless waste of space, just delete the av program

in the days when updating your system over the internet was unheard of, computer viruses sometimes did spread. in practice, they were still rare.

now, there are no malware threats that cannot be mitigated by simply choosing a secure operating system, and keeping it up to date. I've been doing exactly that for 10 years, any virus worth a damn would have stolen some of my BTC, and that hasn't happened.
This could apply if you are using Operating systems that are rarely targeted like Linux. I have used linux for a few years now and i haven't had to worry a lot about viruses and so i have no antivirus installed at all (Am not saying it's completely secure but the incidents are so rare unlike windows)

For windows, it's a different case. Malware is there on every corner of the web just wait for you to slip up and click on it  Grin
The very first day i installed Avast a few days after i had installed Windows OS and a few applications that i needed to use. It immediately detected that there was malware in my PC.

I stopped using windows for all my crypto-related transactions since then.

Back to OP, i think best thing to do is just go through the whole process of syncing. I know it sucks, takes a lot of time and bandwidth but it's better to be safe.
4896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 26, 2019, 11:07:46 PM
As you said, everyone shares their goals.
With this victory Intermilan became the top leader of the Serie A standings. It's amazing that Intermilan now, I'm happy with the Italian league now. There are so many teams that are likely to become champions later.
Question is can they keep up the fight till the end of season?
This is where Juventus beats its competitors. They have a much more reliable squad and keep up the momentum till the end of season. Napoli was so good a few seasons back. It did try to Challenge Juve but they couldn't keep the consistency till the end of season. In the End Juve kept winning the League Title.
4897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 25, 2019, 10:57:46 PM
Only 3 games played by each team so far and it's only Liverpool that hasn't dropped points yet. This is going to be one hell of an interesting season.
But Early signs show that It might be A Liverpool vs Man City Title race against. Both teams seam to be sharp in-front of goal.
4898  Other / Meta / Re: Random merit giveaway threads. What do you think about them? on: August 25, 2019, 10:45:32 PM
With these random merit giveaway threads popping out every now and then, don't you think it's good to have a dedicated board for them (maybe a childboard on BH). I have seen three recently created threads already and I'm sure there are older but still active threads.
I think it would be a very bad idea. It would encourage and increase merit abuse and account farming. My idea was to just totally discourage especially if someone has very few sMerit to handout.

I mean if one had lets say 20 sMerit, what would be so hard with looking for 10 merit worthy posts and then hand each post 2 merits?
4899  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't put your full trust on exchanges regarding scam projects. on: August 25, 2019, 10:31:40 PM
I remember making a simple write up back in Feb about money ruined everything.
I know that ICOs my now not have that much hype but i think IEOs do

In the write up. i tried it illustrate how the "coin/token investors" were getting ripped right and left by Exchanges, ICO creators or owners and ICO listing websites

Here is a snippet

Investors have been milked over and over again by these three.
- ICO and Coin Ranking Websites
- Crypto Exchanges
- ICOs and existing project Teams.

More details here: Current situation, how investors/traders are enriching these three.

You will understand why the exchanges and ICO ranking/review websites keep listing even scam ICOs... it always about greed and money.

As a Barca "Fan" I am very happy to see Real failing like this... Cheesy Not being able to win at home vs Valladolid is kinda pathetic actually...
You better hope Barca win their Match tomorrow otherwise your "happiness" will be short lived  Grin

Otherwise... I still don't see Real Madrid as title contenders. well I am still basing on their performance in Preseason Matches. They still have a lot of work to do especially defense wise.
