5541  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 95% OF YOU Will Fail Trading: Learn how to overcome this stat on: March 18, 2019, 09:44:41 AM

Earning 1-2% daily consistently is next to impossible

I mean for armchair traders. And since you are asking such questions, I also think we can safely assume that. In other words, your assumption is more a figment of your imagination. But then yes, if you can earn that much for 6 months in a row, you will be a millionaire pretty soon, especially if you apply the power of compounding. The catch is that you should first start earning anything at all, for real
Of course, I do know there will be sharp dumps along the way. The 1-2% daily profits is more like the minimum I expect to have made in a day but if I don't make it in a day or make losses. I call it a day and then come back tomorrow with the same goal.
I just wanted to know if the whole idea is realistic.

Say if I started trading with $1000 while taking an average minimum 2% profit daily(this can be divided into 4 different 0.5% profit trades per day)
So projected profit after 6 months should be around $34,320.
I am not saying I would get the exact value but maybe something like $20K-25K due to a few losses along the way
- For now I do have a lot of free time (maybe throughout this whole year) meaning i can be on the screen most of the time

Is this realistic or it's just a big dream that can't be achieved?
5542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Compilation of Top Bitcoin Casinos for 2019 (US Friendly Crypto Gambling) on: March 18, 2019, 09:21:15 AM
From what era do you come from? Safedice listed to be top 3 dice game while the owner of the site is inactive for so long time while there are many people complaining about their funds. Dont you notice about it? Or you just make a random list based on what you heard?

Obviously OP doesn't know what he's talking about or perhaps greed is pushing him to try to get as much traffic to his website as possible without even doing any research.

People were red trusted for promoting shady Duck dice and if Op is not careful, he may get tagged too.
5543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling For Charities on: March 18, 2019, 09:09:55 AM
2- if you loose ... well thats not why you came to casino. If you would like to spend your money on charity you would do that without casino.
But some people do gamble for fun/entertainment because they have lots of money. So channeling some money to charity would be wonderful from that point of view.
5544  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] BTT - BCT - BTCT? on: March 18, 2019, 08:43:24 AM
BCT feels like some altcoin ticker symbol. I would go with BTCT  Cheesy
5545  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ★ Risk factor of purchase anything from a locked thread ★ on: March 18, 2019, 08:26:00 AM
Here is a perfect example of such a scenario where a scammer takes advantage and keeps his thread locked:
OP got scammed by someone who was already identified as a scammer by the community but I think the victim did not check out the scammer's trust ratings, so he just went ahead and made purchases
Since the thread was locked, it was not possible to make warnings.

In the end, OP lost his money;

Sorry about the ordeal. I don't know whether you had logged in before checking the post but you have to be very careful with your money. This is the internet and more or so the crypto community whether scammers are lurking everywhere looking for someone to scam.
5547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: March 17, 2019, 10:32:29 PM
Did you even think they will have a chance to take a title from Barcelona this season?
Not a chance, Atletico Madrid is no longer the same agressive and consistent team of 2 -3 years back.
Griezmann is no longer as reliable as he used to be.
5548  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 95% OF YOU Will Fail Trading: Learn how to overcome this stat on: March 17, 2019, 10:10:49 PM
- Understand the concept and process of compounding and why it is so important.

I was thinking about the concept of compounding. If I took daily profits of say between 1-2% (ofcourse some days there will be sharp dumps and sharp spikes but I am assuming those will cancel out themselves and I will also try to use stop loss where possible), Would this strategy be feasible long term, say 6 months to a year?

I  am looking at doing normal trading without the leveraging bit. From your experience, what do you think?
5549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 17, 2019, 09:47:09 PM
Final Score; Milan 2-3 inter featuring Bakayoko... yes, you read it right, Bakayoko also scored one of the goals for Ac Milan.
Earlier on Napoli Won 4 - 2 Against Udinese.

This means Juventus top the table with a difference of 15 points away from second placed Napoli.
Inter Milan is third with  53 points, Ac Milan is fourth with 51 and AS Roma is fifth with 47
5550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: March 17, 2019, 09:39:13 PM
Final Score Real Betis 1-4 Barcelona
Messi scores yet again another hat trick.

Earlier today Valencia had a goalless draw against Getafe.

I haven't tried out any of his indicators yet, but from his posts in "Crypto Technical Analysis 101" facebook group, these indicators work really well, especially death crossing one, it's spot on usually. Also, this guy really seems to know what he's doing and I think he has a lot of experience (in forex as well).

I love this indicator. I’m seriously considering making a how to YouTube video.

Coincidence?
Very lame move by OP probably trying to promote his channel with a fake TA and creating newbie accounts to bump his post with fake positive review. Why do you love being fake OP?
5552  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHEREUM SHORT TERM OUTLOOK on: March 17, 2019, 09:14:53 PM
Yeah, that's right, not bad for the chart but honestly, ETH is an altcoin we are not sure to give us the best today. I used to admire ETH because of its growth and I came at the point that I thought ETH could win over Bitcoin( but it won't). ETH today is I can tell as an Altcoin I would not touch as of the moment. I will just keep my ETH on my wallet and wait.
Win bitcoin in terms of what? Adoption? Price? marketcap?
If it's the last two then you must have been crazy  Grin

Ether does not have a fix total supply as yet and I think this is one of the things affecting its price. The co-founder predicted that Ethers mined (circulating Ether) would not cross the 100M Ethers mark until at least after a century  Cheesy and guess what? The mark was crossed in 2018 If i remember well.

This nonetheless, shows that Ether over achieved whereby even the co-founder didn't expect it to be a major force for start-ups  on the blockchain too soon, which led to a record all time price last year
5553  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Current situation, how investors/traders are enriching these three. on: March 17, 2019, 08:44:53 PM
I agree to the thing that as long there's greed and the people who are being fooled continue to feed up those people will really continue the entire cycle.
This had exist since the beginning of time and to avoid this is just to be smart on what you are doing as an investor.

Yep for example I used think the idea of Ponzi schemes was just born in this generation of the internet but i was shocked that the idea stretch as early as the 1800's or even earlier for all we know.

Quote
The scheme is named after Charles Ponzi who became notorious for using the technique in the 1920s.

The idea had already been carried out by Sarah Howe in Boston in the 1880s through the "Ladies Deposit". Howe offered a solely female clientele an eight-percent monthly interest rate, and then stole the money that the women had invested. She was eventually discovered and served three years in prison. The Ponzi scheme was also previously described in novels; Charles Dickens' 1844 novel Martin Chuzzlewit and his 1857 novel Little Dorrit both feature such a scheme

This is just one example of scam that was carried out those years
5554  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: HITBTC withdrawal fees on: March 17, 2019, 08:22:27 PM
One of the worst exchanges I have used so far. Very exorbitant withdrawal fees. I stopped using it early last year and withdrew all my funds.

Tip:
If you want to withdraw your funds without having to a cent on withdrawal fees, use NEO. That's what i always use when transferring coins from an exchange to another (of course on centralized prominent exchanges only)
5555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Current situation, how investors/traders are enriching these three. on: March 17, 2019, 07:58:29 PM
It won't change. First it was fake mining companies that were making money then fake cloud mining followed by ICOs. Now there's gonna be another era of STOs and in the sidelines there are always fake exchanges and thieves waiting to get your personal data. There are also fake casinos and other smaller fish.
As long as there's greed they will profit and you have to learn or get burned. There's no other way.
Agree with you, the cycle keeps going on and on. Don't forget ponzi schemes and HYIPs.
Right now there is some much hype around decentralized gambling games and casinos and exchanges that do wash trading to fake volumes to attract traders and coin owners
5556  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why fee on metamarsk wallet and stellar wallet. on: March 17, 2019, 07:42:36 PM
Sometimes claiming a certain altcoin after participating in their airdrop and bounty requires fee in adding such coin to your personal wallet, after doing a lot of social tasks, and we newbies have no token in wallet, this resulting to forfeiting of coins. Please why fee on such wallet?
Never ever send ETH to a bounty manager to cover as fee for a token to be sent to you. It is usually scam. If a bounty manager or project cannot even afford a few for bounty distribution then it's a useless project. They are sending you worthless tokens that have no value.

Always report such projects to scam accusation board if they haven't paid your bounty and bounty managers will be summoned to explain their actions.

However, if you are planning to transfer tokens to an exchange, you need to have some same fee in you Ether wallet/metamask.
5557  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Demo trading Platforms... Do you know any? List them here. on: March 17, 2019, 07:26:30 PM
Demos are useful but it can never compare to the real thing.  You will not react the same when real money is on the line because your human emotions will effect your decision making.  People use bots to disable all emotion and they still make very little money or end up with nothing.

It also depends on how greedy you are. Too much greed can lead you into situation where you have to panic sell or panic buy due to FOMO. Strategy matters too. A person who chooses to take a profit of 0.5 to 2% profit per trade will not be emotionally affected like a person who wants to make 50% per trade.
Trust me, emotions are the list of my worries because I don't plan to be greedy.

This demo serves as a test to my strategy, so I am doing it as though I was using real money... because if it fails, then that means my trading plans will have got a hiccup.

I don't believe in bots, they are not my thing anyway.
5558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap hit $140B is this the start of the next bullrun? on: March 17, 2019, 06:13:40 PM
This topic does not belong here, You should probably move it to Trading discussion or Speculation (Altcoins)
Go to the bottom left of your page and click on move topic

That said, you can't predict a bull run just like that, it could be just a bull trap or just a slight increase before another usual correction. All you have to do is be prepared because anytime a bull run could start off.
You should have bought your favorite coins by now and not have to wait for FOMO
5559  Economy / Services / Re: [OPEN] Africa Bitcointalk community hangout signature campaign. on: March 17, 2019, 05:58:27 PM
** Campaign (Posts count) starts Tuesday 10:00 AM ends Monday 10:00 PM. Forum time**
There is a 12-hour period gap between  Monday 10:00 PM and Tuesday 10:00 AM.
Does it mean posts that fall during that period don't count?
Or this is only just for the test week?
5560  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Demo trading Platforms... Do you know any? List them here. on: March 17, 2019, 03:26:11 PM
I would prefer to spend small amount of money for that purpose instead of using demo trading. Why? Simply because the feel and thrill will be very different. If you use demo trading, high likely you will have no fear of losing real money while on other hands you will feel different thing when you use real money although just small amount.
It is ok to start with demo trading, but using it too much wont help you a lot once you do real trading. Controlling your emotions on taking decision will be more effective to be practiced with real money.
I dunno whether you have taken your time to read through the thread but I think it's pretty clear that I want to test my trading strategy and polish a few things. People are talking of emotions which already have in check so it's no big deal when i start off next month.
